Speaker 1 (00:01):
That's when we could add to the list. For more,
check out our podcast called I Tell You What. That
song would be perfect to do what we did and
I tell you what. I find it anywhere to get
your podcast, It's Chris Carr and Company. Hey, we just
got some world's toughest rodeo tickets for pac coming up here.
We're gonna do that next. But somebody's picking a fight

(00:22):
with Minnesota. What's up.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah, there's a senator from Iowa that has apparently declared
or he's announced a bill to purchase nine Minnesota counties.
So it's the like southernmost counties in Minnesota. And what
they want to do is what he wants to do
is they have Iowa by them so that they expand Iowa.
Why I don't know, But isn't he basically declaring more

(00:44):
on pretty much?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Why do we want no offense? But why do we
want more Iowa? You know what I mean? I love Iowa,
don't get me wrong, but let's have a little let's
just keep it right the way it is.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, I agree with that. We had a great time.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
More Arkansas too, kiddy, You're good.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I didn't Yeah, I didn't know. That's how that works
if you can think can just go and buy counties.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
The farmers they go after it. They just go down there.
They start a big fight and they started doing things
go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
We had a great time at the wild game last night.
For Country Night, Vincent Mason performed. It was so much fun.
We got to watch the game with him and we
had the honor of doing the Let's play Hockey call.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Listen to Sam talk to the crowd like their preschoolers,
this is the best the country. It's a little hard
to hear him, but my favorite part is you're going, okay,

(01:48):
everyone say it with us.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I sound so condescending every time I speak that.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Kind of sound. It just sounds like you're talking to
a bunch of people that have never done it before.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh I was such an idiot.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
No, you never thought that. You're fine. Hey, guys, just
when you said it, I was looking at you, going okay,
They're not a bunch of idiots here.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I don't know why I said it like that. Why
did I do that?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Hey? Coming up next, Minnesota's World's Toughest Rodeo. We're gonna
give you a four pack we fast tickets. Just after
all before seven and only on k Onele two the
k Onal two Country a minute. We think comfort matters,
heating and air, got a cook update for you. Then
we're gonna give you tickets to world's toughest rodeo. It's
gonna be nothing shy of awesome coming up at Excel
Energy Center. So Kenny Chesney's been teasing a major announcement.

(02:34):
Fans thought it might be new music, maybe a new tour,
maybe both. What's it gonna be? It looks like he's
gonna announced maybe a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The even Spheres Twitter account or act or whatever they
call it, posted a tease themselves shows waves crashing and
a chair and a guitar and a cowboy hat that
appears it's pretty awesome. Fans are saying that that chair

(02:54):
looks like the old blue chair. So is it going
to be Kenny Chesney? Currently the Eagles are there. They're
gonna be at the Sphere through April, so maybe after that.
So who's having babies In the world of country music?
Shaye Mooney and his wife are expecting their fourth baby
this year. El King and her partnery are Her partner
are expecting a boy sometime this year's well Hardy and
his wife Kayleie. That's coming up here in just a

(03:14):
matter of weeks. And Sam Hunt and his wife are
expecting their third baby, so it's gonna be a year
of babies in country music. That's just a few of them,
all right. So remember the next two songs that we played.
We're gonna get you in the World's Toughest Rodeo. So
when you know the second song, I'll tell you the
first one. It's love You like I Used to? All right,
love you Like I Used to? Song number one. Remember
this song and the next one. Then we call it

(03:35):
twenty two at eight six six win Captal two. Get
them right. It's pretty easy. You're going to World's Toughest rodeo,
all right. What's your wage? It's coming up too. It's
perfectly acceptable to find out how much somebody makes at
their job. You don't want to do the asking. That
would be rude, so we do. It's what's your wage?
How much does somebody at Jersey Mike's and management make?

(03:56):
Like you know at Jersey Mikes as a manager, I
guess I'm redundant. We're gonna have that in just a second.
First things first, Veronica from Howard Lake. The last two
songs that we played for World's Toughest Tickets. What do
you got?

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Well, you're like a light.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
There you go. Nice job, World's Toughest Rodio four pack
of tickets for you, Veronica. Thank you came right.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Here's my country.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
We're gonna do wee fast tickets coming up in just
a few keep it on one to two point one two.
We're gonna get ready in just a couple of songs.
We're gonna ask you to call in to play the
over undergame for refest tickets. That's Cody Johnson Hardy john Party.
First things first, we got to get somebody on the
air that wants to share, hopefully we'll share their salary,
and that would be Caitlin from clear Lake, Minnesota. And uh,

(04:39):
just tell them about I know you're Jersey Mice. What
do you do? Like, what exactly do you do for
a living?

Speaker 6 (04:42):
I am a general manager at Jersey Knight Lucky.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Oh, I have a lot of questions.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Oh my gosh, do you eat a lot of sandwiches?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
That was one of my questions.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Uh, yes, actually sandwich.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Do you ever get tired of eating sandwiches every day.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
No, I can do sometimes like different combinations almost in
a way, and like switch some things up, so I
kind of can customize a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, you can experiment, Caitlin, how long have you been
a general manager at Jersey Mikes.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
I have been a general manager for about one month,
but I've been with Jersey Mikes for almost two years.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Gotcha? What did it take to become a GM?

Speaker 6 (05:23):
A lot of training, is the best way to put it.
I was a shift lead for probably about three months,
and then I was an AGM for about a year
and then a GM for about month.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yet good, I love that. So you have to know
everything that all your people know, and you know that
because you've done it, You've learned it. This is the
best way to climb to the top as opposed to
somebody coming in and being a GM at well anywhere
for that matter, and not really knowing what everybody does
for work. So you've done it, you've been immersed in it.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
Jersey Mike sometimes is kind of specific on how they
do things because you can't become a shift without what's
called phase one, and which means you're certified to know
how to do all the management.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
How much of your job is actually making sandwiches and
how much of it is actually managing people that work there.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Can I guess fifty to fifty? I bet you she's
got to go right to the plate and do both
because you have people calling it sick.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
I do that every day all the time because I'm
one of the main slicers in my store. So while
I'm slicing, I have to make sure my girl person's
not overwhelmed, the person who is like topping the subs
isn't overwhelmed, my cashier's not messing up and not ringing
something in, and the person who does the online orders
on the back line making sure they're fine. So I'm
kind of bouncing around on top of houting.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Customers when you're make me nervous. The more you talk,
I feel like I'm right in there with you right
now being a slicer.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Are you ready to tell us, Caitlin, what's your wage?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (06:48):
I am.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
We're gonna find out in one more song and offer
up some we Fest tickets too for you. Keep it
on one to two point one O K little too?
So is this does she make enough? And the way
she describes her job is it's something you can do,
and does she make enough for you? Like if you
were driving in today going you know what, I want
to quit my job. I would go over and do
something like that. Let's find out how much she makes
and what's your wage? Next with your weefest tickets on

(07:10):
K one ole two. I gotta got one a two
BOYT one cable two. We're gonna ask you to we
call it twenty two in just a second to play
our new game. It's hard to lose because it's the
over undergame. It's fifty to fifty right. Oh yeah, the
do is get three rights that he's eighty six six
win cabble two for weefest tickets. But not just yet.
Don't call yet, because we have to find out how

(07:31):
much somebody makes at their job. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
So Caitlin, she works at Jersey Mikes. She's from clear
Lake and Kaylin, what's the best part of your job?

Speaker 6 (07:40):
It's just making customers happy. Like a couple of times
where I can tell some people come in and they're sad,
and I just try to make them happy and make
sure that they're and they leave Jersey Mike's having a
good day.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
That is so Noble.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
That is so nice.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Which Jersey Mikes are you? I want to go to
that one. I mean, I'm sure they're all good. But
where are you? Are you in clear Lake? No? Where
are you?

Speaker 6 (08:02):
I'm in St. Paul.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Oh you got a bit of a haul, don huh.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
That's busy.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Yeah, I don't mind the drive. It's kind of it's peaceful.
It's like my time of the day because I've got
a toddler too. Oh so it's like my time of
the day where I'm like, I don't have any responsibilities
for this hour and then well I'm thrust the day.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I'm like, ah, that drive is peace And what do
you drive? If I may ask, it helps me assemble
in my brain what your salary may be.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
He likes to be nosy.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Well, she's driving a Mercedes. I mean I'm gonna I'm
gonna jack it up a little bit.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
No, I drive a Nissan Ultima.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Well, those are sweet the car.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Well, I wanted to ask one more question about your job.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I was wondering, what is what is the weirdest thing
that's happened while you're at work, or like the weirdest
thing that someone's ordered for their sandwich?

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Or something like that.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Oh, a strange customer coming in, that kind of thing.
I know where she's going with this. Come on your
Jersey Mike's in Saint Paul. You've had to have some characters, right,
I mean, I.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
Get some people who want me to chop up their
meat and put it on.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
A sub like into tiny little pieces.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Yeah. I don't have how else to describe it, like
what's called a chop bowl. They want me to do that,
but put it on bread.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I gotta tell you, is the only male in this
room right now? That hurt as you said it.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
You don't like the phrase chop up meat?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
No, no, But the way she said is, I have
somebody chop I have to chop up their meat. They
asked me to chop up my meat, and I don't.
That's just we're not talking to the Lorraina Bob at everybody.
We are talking to Caitlin, who's a general manager for
Jersey Mikes in Saint Paul, who's now getting uh yeah,

(09:44):
she's she's you like that idea, don't she? I am
cringing in here right now. Next time that guy comes in,
she's be like, yeah, I'll chop your meat, Caitlin, general
manager of a Jersey Mike's in Saint Paul.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
What's your wage?

Speaker 6 (10:04):
I make sixty thousand a year. On top of that,
As long as I manage like like the cogs, which
is cost of good souls versus cost of good use.
As I manage my inventory really well, I get a
bonus every month.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Oh that is awesome.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
That is awesome.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Good for you. Yeah, and you've only been there a
couple of years. Good job, and you worked your way
through the rank sixty grand heck yid heck yeah, nice job, Caitlin.
Great to meet.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
You, cow good to meet you guys too.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Oh might come in there and ask you to chop
my meat.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
Christ if I saw you'd probably signal.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
What I didn't hear that nothing. I'm literally like crossing
my legs right now. Something about when you hear that
as just guys know that they're listening. They just know

this sound, this shush sound that gets in my head.

Speaker 6 (20:41):

more song, Get Ready to Win Him on cabddle two.
Speaking of the Wild, a stranger touched me inappropriately last

(24:11):
night at the Wild.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
Kid.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
That person called, actually we have that coming up too
before eight with a thousand bucks to boot. Keep it
on camddle two. But first things first, it's time to play.
That's what she said.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Today we have home Carrie and Ben from Oakdale. They've
been together for seven years, married for five years, they've
got two kids, and I'm so excited to have them on.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
That's what she said.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
We just asked five questions and she goes first, and
then he chimes in hearing a song and see if
we kind of see if they're on the same page.
They've been mery all together seven years, so you think
they'd be pretty pretty good shape here, But Carrie, you
go first here? What is something Ben is not allowed
to bring home? A cat?

Speaker 6 (24:55):
He knows that I am not a cat person.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Okay, better know that one.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
What's something about Ben's mother that you admire?

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Her legs?

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Well, I mean okay, so for an older woman, she
has the death legs. And honestly, I've said this to
him before and I have had all Right.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
That's awesome. Good for her.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I wonder if you would answer that that way. On
a scale of one to ten, how well do you
two kiss? Would you say one to ten? You and Ben?

Speaker 6 (25:27):
I think I would give it a seven, which, you
know what, I think is pretty good for a couple
that's been together as long as we have.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yeah, well you've been together? What seven years? Yeah? Seven
for seven? Got bad? Yeah? Next year as well? Maybe
eight next year.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
What's the fastest way to get under his skin?

Speaker 7 (25:47):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, that one's easy. When I touch him with my
very sub zero temperature feet in bead. That you do
that too? My wife does that.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
I do that to hot It's like here.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Wore me up? All right, We're almost done? Universal Uh,
this is it? This is the Yeah, I think it
is the last question. What was the last time you two,
you know, made it happen, got it up?

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Oh my gosh, Chris.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Attention.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
Okay, probably like a week ago, Saturday. Yeah, yeah, we
could go Saturday.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
All right. Well, let's let's see how his memory works
with that. Very fascinating all right, hold the line. We're
gonna get Bent on the phone and uh and get
his version of that's what she said, and see if
he agrees with anything you said. Okay, okay. If he doesn't,
she shall pounce. She has every right to do that.
All right. Let's put him on the spot next and
get your Minnesota Wild tickets after Cole Swindell forever to

(26:48):
me on K one two two two, it is time
to finish up the game. That is, that's what she said. Today.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
We are talking to Carrie and Ben from Oakdale.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
They've been together for seven years, married for five years now,
and they've got two kids.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Where we wrap this up, we're going to give you
tickets to the Minnesota Wild. Have this number handy eight
six six win. Okay one two, all right, Bett, it's
your turn, same five questions. Let's see how your question,
your answer is compared to your bride. If you would
like to say, hello, you may do so, Hey, carry hey,
mab you ready, guys? Five questions? Let's go all right,
here we go, Bett. According to Carrie, what's something that

(27:29):
you would never be allowed to bring home? Probably my girlfriend?

Speaker 8 (27:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
That's not what she said.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Unless you have a cat named girlfriend at work, then no.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
I don't think your humor resonated with that one there. Ben, No,
it was a cat. That's not what she said. She
said a cat can't bring a cat home?

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Ben. What's something about you? Ben? What's something about your
mother that Carrie admires?

Speaker 1 (27:58):
I would say the what's something about your mother that
carried her patience for my father?

Speaker 6 (28:05):
He's not an easy guy to live with.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Yeah, that's not I saw what she said.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
I wasn't gonna say that, you know I have. I
did say her legs.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
We've talked about this.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
Your mom's got great legs.

Speaker 8 (28:18):
She does have great legs, and you have talked about that.
I should have known that.

Speaker 7 (28:22):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
By the way, the whole thing sounds a little weird
to us, but we don't know the entire context. But
that's why we played this game. So on a scale
of one to ten, Ben how well do you and
carry kiss?

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (28:33):
My god, ten, I think we do all right?

Speaker 6 (28:36):
For how long we've been together?

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Sadly, that's that's not what she said, dude.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
I give with a seven.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
It's you know, great, But there's always wait, can I
say something now? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (28:51):
Can you give her kissing a seven?

Speaker 7 (28:54):
We've been to Yeah?

Speaker 10 (28:56):
When were you going to bring that up?

Speaker 1 (28:59):
It gives you time to improve? Okay, Now the whole
point is to keep moving. You're not, by the way, dude,
you haven't gotten anything right yet. But anyway, what's.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
The fastest way that Carrie gets under your skin?

Speaker 10 (29:10):
This one I can get Oh, this is easy.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Oh man, when she puts.

Speaker 10 (29:14):
Her freaking seat on my legs in bed.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
That woman needs more circulation or something. Oh, this is good.
You know what, dude, we remember what we said. You
didn't get one right? You just did? You got one right?
Llian efferent, Yes, that's what she said.

Speaker 8 (29:30):
I know what drives you crazy, babe.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
What was the last time you two got it on? Ben?
You and Carrie?

Speaker 8 (29:37):
Well, oh we're doing this on the radio.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Well no, you're not doing it on the radio. Ben,
You're just answering the question.

Speaker 10 (29:43):
You're the last time we we The last time would
have been last Friday.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
We got the kids in bed fairly early and made
the magic happen. That's not what she saw.

Speaker 6 (30:00):
WHOA, you're right, you're right.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Oh no, she.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Said it was a week ago Saturday. Yeah, she was.

Speaker 11 (30:07):
She awaken as the kisser and now you don't remember
us even having do I.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
This might have been a couple too many glasses of
why you.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Know, watching our shows?

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Oh my god. Okay, well you know what. This isn't
the point of this game, but you two have a
couple of things to work on. But it doesn't it
doesn't sound like it's anything major. Let's get your kissing
up to a ten. Let's remember when you make love
and then we're all good. Sound good, ridiculous. We'll start there.
Our hold the line, guys. If you want to be on,
that's what she said. What do you need to do?

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Reach out to us on the Chris Carr and Company
Facebook page, also on Instagram. We would love to hear
from you and have you on.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
That's what she said.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
All right, here we go, guys. You want to call
us off? At age six six wink little two eight
six six win came little two We're going to play
two songs. These two songs are worth Wild tickets. They're

songs that we played in the two songs showdown speaking
in the Whild. We had a great night last night.
They are so cool, that whole team at the Wild.
And by the way, very friendly, very very and I'm

(31:28):
sorry about the loss last night, but it was we
had we got to do let's play hockey and it
was just glorious last night.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
It was it was really a bleasting.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Something really weird happened real quick. We're gonna grab call
it twenty two in a second, so keep yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
I was standing there talking to you and then all
of a sudden you started kind of like I don't
know you just looked like something was wrong, not quite right.
And then I don't know, the whole situation was so funny.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
You told him to stand somewhere, so I stood there. Yeah,
and you were told to stand somewhere, and you stood there,
and then all of a sudden, I started feeling something.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
You ended up being touched, surprisingly like you were surprised.
But the person that touched you, Chris. I think she's
on the phone, right, she works.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
For the Wild she does. It's Shannon.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Yeah, Shannon.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
What can I ask? What were you? What were you
trying to do last night when you were touching me?

Speaker 5 (32:12):
Okay, So they when they are showing the people on
the jumbo tron, a lot of times it shows us
working and we don't like our faces on the jumbo tron.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Or we're caught off guard or whatever.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
So the curtain was closed and I was trying to
get to the end of it on the side, but
it kind of tucks into the wall. So I was
kind of grabbing the curtain to find.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
The end of it.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
And it turns out I.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
You know, grabbed a little bit of you.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
Caught you off caught me out guard.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
So it was definitely unintentional. And I was so embarrassed
that I didn't mean for it to happen, but it
made for quite the story. I'm just waiting to hear
from my HR department.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
You know, by the way, that's funny. I went home.
I laughed so hard, as you know, because I saw
your face behind the curtain. I'm like, who's touching my butt? Next?
Run around?

Speaker 8 (33:03):
Like you go?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
And I go. And I went home and told my wife.
I said. She was in bed sleeping, and I go, honey,
you wouldn't believe what happened at the wild Game. I
got some action at the wild Game. She goes, that's nice, honey,
and fall back to sleep.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
She didn't even question it. She just accepted it.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Just she's like, yeah, whatever you are. Hey, you are
awesome and your whole team, thank you for everything. Last night.
It was just literally like heaven on Earth being a
part of the wild And you guys are so so
super sweet and nice to us. I mean really like
over the top it comes to the touches. But but no,
you guys, really, honestly, you guys are a great team.
Thank you, Shannon, No, thank you guys.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
It was so fun to have you and like I said,
you guys are you guys are the best. I mean,
Ubjeer and you guys make my morning. So thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
You are welcome. Thank you, and we hope you invite
us back and I'll work out before next time.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Yeah, I was gonna mention that, but I didn't want to.
Thank you guys to my country for sure, love.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
It, love it. It was so sweet to meet her
and everybody else last night. And Vincent Mason performed He
is nothing shy of completely awesome. Look for that name
to grow in country music. Great kid at twenty four
years old, and he's on the correct route here in
country music. I mean, he's got all the talent songwriting.
He performed last night. It was awesome. It was just
a great night all except for the wild loss. But
other than that, yeah, all right, speaking of the wild though,

(34:27):
get things back together. Jennifer from Oak Grove your Colored

so much for keeping it done. Cabletle too, have a
great time, and I hope they treat you just as
well as they treated us last night, and I know
they will. Thanks Jennifer Awesome, my country. You have to
stay away from the curtains. You're gonna be all right, right,

(35:40):
Once you hear the fourth one, you'll know them all.
He called it twenty two get them right, and you're going,
what's going on?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Some senator from Iowa is trying to buy parts of Minnesota. Well,
I mean technically he's not the one trying to do it,
but he's announced a bill to purchase nine Minnesota counties,
which is just a little odd.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
They just want to like they're invading. The Iowins are invading.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
It's all I get you to me.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
They've declared war, so.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
We're buying Canada and Greenland. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (36:07):
I have no idea. Shout out to the Hugo Fire Department.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
They came out saved a farms horses after their waterlines froze,
which I just thought was super cool. They posted it
on Facebook and they talked about this unique call for service,
and I just think it's really neat, you know, to
see all of the incredible things that our fire departments
do in our communities.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
By the way, I only want to do this only
if you're entirely comfortable with it. Coming up here and
just a couple of songs. Nobody's telling you to do this.
You want to convey something to the audience here, and
just a couple songs. You're good yeah, absolutely, that's two
songs away. Keep it on one to two point one
K one two all right, I don't hate to make
it sound well, just yeah to hear what's going on

We have two more songs to play. You're going to

(37:07):
win K what O two be called twenty two? Get
them right in any order. Just the song titles, and
you're going to Kelsey Ballerini and you're going to meet
her or hang with her and all of those things. Okay,
Sam and I spoke earlier this week, and that was
a pretty good time to talk about it. She wanted
to talk about something and I'm absolutely all for it.
We're a show that's always you know, we try to
be fun and bringing on the light side and the

(37:29):
bright side, and sometimes life deals you a different different
hand from time to time. And you can tell everyone
kind of what you've been thinking, what you're going through.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yeah, this is something that I wanted to talk about
because I like being open and honest.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
It's just how I like to operate.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
And this is something that has had has been such
a weight on me, and it is something that I
do want to share for that reason because then I
feel like maybe I won't feel that weight when I'm
just being honest with everybody. And I also think that
this is something that's super super common but not talked
about a lot, so it can be really lonely. And
I felt that loneliness for a while, so being able

(38:06):
to talk about it, I think helps. It's been a
pretty tough kind about a year for my husband and
I because and it's been a long time since I've
been nervous to talk about something on the radio. I
don't remember ever being nervous, but it's hard to find
the right word.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
It's part of the deal.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Many last year I had two miscarriages and I was
in doctor appointments a lot.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
There were sometimes were for several months of the time.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I'd be in at the doctor several times a week,
and they the second one was complicated because they thought
it might have been what's called an ectopic pregnancy. I
had to go to a cancer treatment or a cancer
center to get a chemotherapy treatment to help with that,
because that's how they do that. And then after that,
they figured out that I have a heart shaped uterus,

(38:53):
which sounds cute but causes lots of problems. It can
make you more susceptible to miscarriages. So I had a
surgery to fix that a few months ago, and I
just recently kind of got like the all clear as
far as finally maybe being done with those issues and
maybe now we can kind of get on with our life.
But it really was about a year now of this

(39:17):
process of trying to start a family and going through
all of this. And I'm someone who I've lived my
entire life making really really healthy choices, and a big
part of that was because I knew that someday I
wanted to have a family, so I wanted to be
kind to my body and be healthy. And what I've
learned through this process is no matter what you do,
you can be as healthy as you possibly can be
but still have issues that you have no control over.

(39:40):
And that has been super hard to deal with and
it has just been a learning experience. I've grown a
lot through it. My husband's amazing, and you too, Chris.
You've been an incredible friend throughout the process, and I've
talked to you about it since day one. I think
you were the second person to find out that I
was pregnant the first time, because you know, I want

(40:03):
to share those things with you, and we'll work so
closely together, and you're such a good friend, and you've
now supported me this whole time, and so I've been
super super thankful for that. But I think that the
hardest part about this is just like it's not something
you go out and share with people. People ask hey,
how are you. You're not gonna say I'm actually struggling
a lot. Nobody wants to hear that. Nobody wants to

(40:25):
you know, you don't want and you don't want to
dump that on somebody, so you just kind of say
I'm okay.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
But it's hard because sometimes you're not okay.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
And I'm hoping, like I wanted to talk about this
because I'm hoping that by talking about it, maybe somebody
out there might feel a little bit less alone, because
ultimately I am okay. I know I'm crying right now,
but it's just because it's there's a lot of emotions
I've had like a year of build up here. But
I think that my hope is just that somebody can

(40:54):
feel a little bit less alone that might be going
through this and or whatever it might be, right, because
we all have different struggles.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
This is what mine looks like.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
I never ever ever thought that I'd be going on
the radio and talking about infertility and struggling with that,
struggling to start a family. But I'm here, and I
think that we have this, this platform here to where
maybe I can help someone and whether maybe it's infertility,
maybe it's just you're going through it for some other reason,
maybe you've lost someone in your life, whatever it is,

(41:24):
Like I, it is hard, and maybe you don't want
to talk about it, but it's there and you're not alone.
You never know when you're talking to someone what they
might be going through. So that's just really what I
wanted to focus on today.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
You're very brave this for a show that's so geared
for fun and the games and the screw it off
that we do, to be able to come on and
talk like this. I mean, I commend you. You're amazing.
You know, I love you. You're a great human being.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
You're Chris, You're best. You're truly like one of my
best dearest friends.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
We are typing, and you know, there's a spiritual element
all of this as well, and sometimes it's really hard
when you don't have control, you know, But you're in
a lot of people's prayers, especially now right now, that
that prayer me to do a work right. And if
you want a family, I believe in my heart of
hearts and I believe you're going to get one. And

(42:18):
I know for a fact you're going to be the
best mom on the planet outside of my mom and
my wife pretty close to that, you know. No, I
think you and Hawthorne are meant to have a family,
and I know how bad you want it, and I
know how hard this is. Thank you for talking about it,
because I think a lot of people have been there,
and a lot of people are the power of radio.

(42:38):
They're listening right now. They know that they're not alone,
whether it be this or something else. So thank you.
I'm getting emotion.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Well, I just I appreciate you, and I appreciate I
mean everyone. I just I'm thankful for where we are
at in life and in the process, and everything happens
for a reason, and I know that things are going
to work out how they're supposed to, and I'm just
excited for the future.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
And to be able to move on at this point.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Sure, it doesn't feel it. Doesn't it feel great to
just it?

Speaker 7 (43:07):
Does?

Speaker 3 (43:08):
I actually already feel better after talking about.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
It, because you're so close to our audience and you're
so close to the people, the people that listen. Yeah,
it's just, you know, there's like this gap where that
feels like there's this void, and we just want to
be forthright.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Yes, our listeners are so amazing and they connect with
us so much. It really does feel like a family
when we go places and people talk to us and
say hi and everything. So I feel like I've been
hiding a secret from my family at this point.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
But now at least I actually do really already feel better.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Good. I'm glad you do. Thank you, and God blessings
to you, God's blessings to you, to Hawthorn and your
whole family. Thank you. I can't wait until you guys
can get on and enjoy the magic. Oh my gosh,
I mean just get after it like there's no tomorrow.
Just trying to turn the corner a little bit here.
Now you know you're on a mission. And the doctor

(43:56):
gives it the hawthorn, give her the berries, I don't us.
Just trying to trying to transition because we got to
give away Kelsey Ballerini tickets to I'm Sorry, and it's
VIP to Kelsey b and here as you were talking,
the perfect song would be I Am not okay, Jelly raw.
I want to make mention of that, And as I
searched for it, the computer crapped out on each. But

(44:18):
what's amazing, seriously, what is next is a song that
applies to people going through anything, and it's song number
three and four to score for Kelsey Ballerine VIP tickets
and the show. It's tough People because you represent that.
It's Drew Balderridge's new song, saw number three and four
to score. Get the lyrics. I'll listen on this one
and think about what you're going through when others are

(44:40):
going going through as well, maybe this one applies even better.
I'm gonna try to get the computer fixed. But here's
Drew Tough People. Kay Whattle two, We Love you.

Speaker 11 (44:48):
In the baggage that song number four and four to
score Derek Spentley call us up eight six to six
win k what O two and you're going for Kelsey
Ballerini V.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
We just need the last four song titles in any
order be called A twenty two. Get them right eight
six six win capble two and you're gonna go meet
Kelsey and go to WORS show. You have had quite
a year, you talked about here in the last In
the last year or so and two songs ago you
talked about it. Sam, Are you comfortable taking a call?

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Yeah, I would love I would love to.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
I know somebody wanted to say something to you.

Speaker 9 (45:21):
Go ahead, Hey, Hannah, I'm just telling to say a
couple of things to Sam.

Speaker 7 (45:26):
Hi.

Speaker 4 (45:28):
Hi, I just want to say I'm.

Speaker 9 (45:30):
Really sorry that you've had a miscared too. It's terrible
and it sucks and it's an awful feeling. But I
think it's amazing that you're talking about it because, like
I've also went through one, and just being able to
talk with people and share your feelings and just knowing
that you're not alone, it's like the most feelings thing ever.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
So I'm proud of you.

Speaker 9 (45:51):
And it's really hard to share. And also I just
want to just say that, oh sorry early for me
to be getting emotions.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
It's okay.

Speaker 9 (46:01):
Pregnancy. Somebody told me that like pregnancy is like the
biggest walk by faith exercise you'll ever experience, and I
think it's the most truth thing I've ever heard. So
just praying for you, and I know good days are
coming and you'll be a fabulous mother one day.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
That is so kind.

Speaker 2 (46:19):
Thank you so much for calling in, and thank you
so much for telling me just about a little bit
about your story.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
And I'm praying for you too, and I.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
Hope that you just feel all of all of the
love that you should right now.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 9 (46:32):
I have a beautiful, wonderful five months.

Speaker 6 (46:36):
So congratulations raow is awesome.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
All good.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Thanks, that's the part of the story. I was just
praying for it right there. Congratulations to you, Thank you.

Speaker 9 (46:46):
Thanks guys, have a good day you too.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
That is just amazing.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
Well, it's been amazing.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
I've been getting a lot of messages already, just have
people who have gone through similar things, and that means
a lot too, because I think that I feel less alone.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
I hope that they feel less alon.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
People don't really talk about this stuff all the time,
and so and it is such a weight off of
my chest to just talk about it. I'm someone that
likes to share and likes to talk about things, and
so to be able to do that it feels like
such a blessing. So thank you everybody for sticking through
this conversation and listening to me talk about it. I
have been extra sad lately because the due date for
what would have been or what was my first pregnancy,

(47:22):
My due date would have been next week, so I
would be massively pregnant right now.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Or already with the baby at this point.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
My husband and I will be out of town next
week because we wanted something to look forward to that week,
so we planned a vacation, which we're really really looking
forward to. And so if you don't hear me or
when if you yeah, if you don't hear me next week,
that's why.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Yeah, but uh, you have to do a little U time.
Yeah and Hawthorne time.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
Don't make it weird.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
I'm not. I wasn't going to until you just you
said that. I really wasn't. And it was like the
second I said I was going, We're getting back to
this now. No, you are beloved here, yeank you. Everybody's
got your back. We're all praying for you.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
You it means, it really means more than anyone could
possibly know.

Speaker 3 (48:03):
So thank you, thank you for sharing, thank you for listening.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
You're very very welcome. You're good listening for a year,
and I'll keep listening for as long as I'm alive.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
I'm thankful for your friendship.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
We love you, and thanks for sharing with everybody. This
is something streaming services can't do. Man, this is just
this radio. You're really helping a lot of people, and
we're gonna help somebody a little more specifically, maybe with
if you could changing gears for just a second. Hard
to segue out of something like that, but Jade standing
by from a nooka if you know the last four songs,
you're not only going to Kelsey Ballerini, but we're going

(48:34):
to get you to meet her too. It's a vip
for Kelsey b Jade. What are the last four songs?

Speaker 7 (48:40):
Ok?

Speaker 4 (48:41):
And just one second here, this sounds been too good
to us.

Speaker 10 (48:44):
Should have been a cowboy, tough people and drunk on
a plane.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
You're gonna meet Kelsey Ballerini. And you're gonna go to
her show coming up here a week from tomorrow a
Target center.

Speaker 6 (48:58):
I hope I cannot speak when I see her.

Speaker 5 (49:01):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
Thank you, You're welcome. Thanks for keeping it done, capital too, Jade,
nice work today.

Speaker 5 (49:05):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (49:06):
Want to use my country?

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Love it, love it all Right, guys, we're going to
keep the two hours commercial free going, and we're also
going to hook you up with some parking McCallum tickets
on the way as well, because a lot of people
want to go to that. I'm just completely I'm just
kind of getting back into, you know, what people are
accustomed to. But I think it was the best way.
Everything was wonderful what happened here in the last couple songs.
Thank you for your courage in helping so many people.

(49:29):
I think there's a lot of women and men that
heard that that are feeling not feeling so alone this morning,
just like you.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
I hope. So I hope that's the case.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Yeah, good stuff, kid, Thank you, No go make some
babies right. He'll be praying for you. Thank you. It's
Jordan Davis. Is that something that you would like to
put on the air as well? It's Chris carrn kelpany
one O two point one capital two after a very
emotional half an hour. But sometimes people hear things differently

(49:59):
than intended. And we have pretty serious subject matter here
in the last half an hour or so, and I'll
let you tell the story. Sam.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
I've been sharing my experience in our struggles, my husband
and I struggles starting a family over the last year,
and so I talked about that and I have just
gotten a lot of really really kind messages people sharing
their stories too. And it's tough subject, but it's just
there is. I did get one message from a dear
friend of ours, and I think that she just quickly
popped on but she messaged me and amongst all these

(50:27):
other messages, she said that she said, oh, congratulations to
you both.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
I think she missed. I just think she just misheard.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
And I actually think it's really funny and it's so sweet.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
It's okay, Like I am, I think it's really really funny.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
It's okay, what exactly is she gradually what?

Speaker 3 (50:46):
I think she's just misheard.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, we do get a lot of that, by the way, Yeah, which.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
Is totally fine.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Yes, I just so I'm so sweet that she wanted
to congratulate us.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
If we're just talking openly for a second. When I
lost my pay arents, it was within I'm not making
this about me, this is yours, but just a similar situation. Absolutely,
somebody accidentally I did a pulse fiel on my dad.
It was talking about my dad. I was there with
him when he died and his hands go in the air,
and talked about him, you know, transitioning to heaven and everything.
And I was really sad. And somebody put the crying

(51:19):
out loud, laughing about me. And it wasn't a friend
of mine. He goes, oh crap, I was going for
a heart.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
It's just that kind of stuff that enlightens things, dude,
And it's just funny.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
I laughed so hard. I know I've done that too. Oofs.
Real Quick came out a two country minute thanks to
Comfort Matters, heating and air. Kenny Chesney's teasing a major announcement.
Some fans think it may be new music, maybe a
new tour. It's looking like it could be a residency
at the Sphere in Las Vegas. We'll keep you posted.
A little teas heated a tease. The Sphere is doing

(51:52):
a tease with a cowboy hat and a chair and
waves crashing and a guitar and it just looks very
old blue chair or everyone, but I heart scat the
announcement when it happens. We keep it on Capble too. Also, well,
you know we're gonna just leave it at that. We'll
leave it at that because we need to get out
of here and keep the two hours commercial free to
go on. Right now, it's Josh Ross single again, Parker McCollum.

(52:14):
Tickets are on the way. Thank you everybody for calling
and being so wonderful to my awesome co host Sam
san Severe, who related a very strong story of things
she's been going through here in the last year, started
about a half an hour ago. Are you comfortable taking
another call?

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (52:31):
I would love to, and then we'll get back to
it here. It's Michael from Delamo.

Speaker 10 (52:37):
Go ahead, and I'm much trying and talk to you
guys in a while. I heard Sam's post this morning.
I had a miscarried twenty five years ago as well.
I'm so sorry that you went through that, and yeah,
you know it sucks, but here's what got us through.
It is an old couple that our church told us
that when that baby woke up, he was in the

(52:58):
arms of Jesus that moment.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
Yeah, that's that is really beautiful. You're asked for Yeah,
that's amazing. Thank you for sharing that.

Speaker 10 (53:09):
We have a.

Speaker 7 (53:10):
Twenty three year old and a twenty seven year old,
healthy kids.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
What more can we want?

Speaker 7 (53:15):
Right?

Speaker 1 (53:15):
Amen? Brother? Amen, thank you, keep your head up.

Speaker 8 (53:19):
You guys will get there.

Speaker 3 (53:20):
Thank you so much of you guys.

Speaker 8 (53:22):
Have a good day.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Love you too, dude. Pretty cool radio family you got
out there.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Uh yeah, I am feeling the love and it really
means a lot to thank you to everyone that has
called and message and everything. A lot of people go
through this and I just don't want everybody to feel
so alone about.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
It, and a lot of people don't right now because
of your courage. So very cool, Sam. Thank you from
