K IF I am sixty.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
We're live everywhere the iHeartRadio app and YouTube, and if
you've been tuning in to the pre show feed, you
can see that we have the whole show line up
there for you thanks to our video technical director Daniel Ferguson.
You can obviously tune in and watch all the festivities
on YouTube at mister bo Kelly m R M O

(00:44):
K E L L Y. Let me give you a
quick rundown. Remember what I was saying last night about
Shannon Sharp. I hate being right all the damn time.
I told you it was gonna get worse before it
got better, and it's gotten precipitously worse for Shannon Show.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
And I would.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Say, no real exaggeration that his career might be circling
the drain that all the way down to drain, but
you know it's making that revolution slowly, and then it
starts getting quicker and quicker as it gets to the
center of the drain. No good news for Shannon Sharp.
Will tell you about that in the next two segments.
And did you see former Congressman George Santos had the

(01:25):
whole library thrown at him? They didn't throw the book
at him. They threw the whole damn library eighty seven
months on multiple federal charges. Do not pass go, do
not collect two hundred dollars, but they'll let him, I guess.
Checking the jail a little bit later, it is club fed.
But not all federal institutions are creating the same. Some

(01:45):
of them can be pretty damn dangerous, and more than
seven years for anyone is considerable. It's Friday, y'all, and
I cannot wait. The party is now getting started. By
the way, we got prizes. We got prizes to give
away tonight for the name that movie called Classic. Yes, sir, yes, sir,

(02:07):
to allow. What prizes are we giving away tonight?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
We have not a Hodgepodge, but a spin the wheel
wall supplies last cavalcade of prizes, t shirts, KFI totes.
This is brand new, Oh KFI totes. And later with
Mo Kelly Mos.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Spending man, bust the deal and spending the wheel, we
got the mugs back the mugs.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Yes, yes, put your mouth on me, Yeah, drink out
of Moe's head. Yes, hey, Mark, since you're on the mic,
Oh yeah, there we goes.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Anytime now weather you need a full intro, come on
earn your page. Jesus, Gee, weather for this weekend is
what mark runner. We're gonna have rain tomorrow and then
Sun's gonna be knocked down on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
But it'll be kind of cool. Wait, is actually gonna
rain all day tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Supposedly? Yeah, yes, it does. It impacts my plan. You
should both be prepared to get moist tomorrow. Not.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean typically when I hear those reports, I'm like, oh,
yeah whatever, but tomorrow, I actually that plans would, which
would have had me out and about like moving stuff.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
But I'll wait till Sunday then and I'll stay indoors.
So watch anime. Don't go outside tomorrow. Don't even open
the door, Okay, okay, wow, if you say so, yeah,
I trust you. I mean, we don't have the National
Weather Service anymore, so you know, oh, didn't they close
it down? Well I didn't those close it down. They're
working on it, Okay, okay, but I still use it
among other sources.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Real quickly, I want to say, and I've met to
say something earlier in the week. I want to say hello,
and also thank you to Vanessa and Alfredo. I ran
into them at Gayetano. It was Italian restaurant last Saturday.
I believe os there. It's one of my favorite places.
If you want some real good Italian food, you have

(04:09):
to you have to ask the one where it is.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
You can't see it from the street. It's Gaetanos g
A E.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
T A n Os in Torrance, right off of pch
and Crenshaw.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Wonderful food.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Anyhow, I went in and sat down at Gaytinals at
the bar. I was just going to get some food
to go. Then I said, well, I want I'll just
stay here and have some food at the bar. Unbeknownst
to me, I was recognized by a young lady and
her husband, and they were big fans of the show.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
They said, we listened all the time.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I said, that's very nice to say, even if it's
not true, but thank you very much. So they were
just they were just very nice. We had a short
conversation about the show and about KFI, and I said
I would shout them out. I was supposed to do
it on Monday, but it's Friday now, and since we're
getting close to the weekend again, I remembered to shout out.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Vanessa and her husband Alfredo.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
We met at Gaetanos Thank you so much for listening
to the show, and I hope you continue to listen.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
When that first started, I thought it was going to
turn into like an indecent proposal type star. I was like, wait,
where are we going? Where are we going with this?
I'm just gonna leak that alone.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
That alone.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
It's Later with Mo Kelly KIM six forty. We live
everywhere on the iHeartRadio app and YouTube. You definitely want
to tune into YouTube for the live video show because
when we get to the game tonight, there's gonna be
some stuff happening that you just won't want to only
experience on the radio.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
KFI, mister bo Kelly, We're live everywhere the iHeartRadio app
and on YouTube, and if you're tuning into the YouTube
show tonight, we added a little wrinkle, I should say,
Daniel Ferguson added a little wrinkle where you will be
able to know what's coming up and when it is
coming up, we'll have the show run down there for
you and so we're all on the same page.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Know what's coming up. At the bottom of the hour,
and the next hour and we're going to get to
the movie game all of that. So kudos and shout
out to Daniel Ferguson last night, we talked about Shannon
Sharp and how I thought because of his own decision
making and poor judgment, he may have single handedly torpedoed

(06:22):
his brand and career. A few weeks ago, we talked
about Stephen A. Smith and now he was branching out
into politics. I detailed how he's long fancied himself as
a political commentator and he did not have the I
would say, the autonomy to talk about certain issues which

(06:42):
were nonsports related. In his latest deal, he was then
given the ability to talk about politics and talk about
sensitive issues having nothing to do with sports. Now, Shannon
Sharp being one of those things. You may not know,
but Shannon Sharp was on Fox Sports. His deal expired
a few years ago.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Steven A.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Smith was the person who was instrumental in bringing him
to ESPN. And it's one of Steven A. Smith's co
hosts on Take six First Take, which is the highest
rated show on ESPN. So all of this is very
complicated as far as relationships is very delicate for ESPN.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I'm going to play for you what Stephen A.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Smith had to say about the situation on his podcast
and the overlap with ESPN.

Speaker 8 (07:31):
Shannon Sharp is somebody I work with a couple of
days a week. Shannon shop is somebody that I brought
to ESPN. Works on First Take, which is on ESPN
every weekday morning from ten am to twelve noon, needs
to standard time. He's been with me every Monday and Tuesday.
We've been number one for thirteen years in counting. But
since Shannon has arrived, obviously, he's helped the show immensely

(07:54):
and I can't thank him enough for it. We've grown
close as friends. I'd like to believe that root for him.
I know he's been through a lot in life. He's
overcome a lot of things, and when he departed from Fox,
I was more than happy to bring him on board here.
So all I can speak to about is what I
know based on the reports, and I can speak about

(08:16):
ESPN and Disney. To be clear, even though this podcast,
this YouTube show is owned and operated by me solely,
it doesn't mean that I'm going to be dismissive of ESPN,
who employs me in my daytime job on First Aake
so I sit here before you today letting you know
that they are aware that this is a subject that

(08:37):
I was going to broach because I owe them that courtesy.
With that being said, it's important to point out a
couple of things. Number One, I was not there. I
am not I can provide no eyewitness account. And even
though I got love and respect for Shannon Sharp and
I'm sincerely hopeful and prayerful that he is completely innocent

(08:58):
of the allegations that have been levy against him, I
can't sit here and speak to his innocence or guilt
from a knowledgeable place because I have nothing to do
with this. I haven't seen anything. I don't know anything.
I don't even know this person.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
If I didn't know any better, if I didn't know
any better, I would say that Stephen A. Smith is
being very cautious and creating daylight between him and Sannah Sharp.
He basically said, let me just translate. He's my boy,
he's my friend, he's my colleague. I love working with him.

(09:35):
Thinks a great talent.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
But I wasn't there. I can't tell you definitively. I
hope everything turns out fine. I hope he's innocent. But
I wasn't there.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
He also said what I heard in the in between
was we don't know these people. Yes, just didn't use
those he just didn't use those words. He said, you
know what, I have worked with him, brought him by,
Oh we are da da da dad, but we don't
know these people.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
If we're to go a little bit deeper, and since
they've had a long working relationship and I would say
rapport friendship on some level, I'm sure Stephen A. Smith
has heard something from Shannon Sharp about his relationships. Why
because guys talk, you know, there are other things that
we're going to talk about about Shannon Sharp and previous

(10:25):
relationships with now have come to light that I happen
to believe that Stephen A. Smith probably knew something about
Maybe it was an offhanded remark or a full on discussion.
He knows something about the man, but it does not
mean that he knows exactly what happened, if it happened,
or where it happened. But that was very it was
a very circum what I would call a circumspect statement.

(10:49):
It was noncommittal, but not disrespectful of the alleged victim
or ESPN and he understands that his fortunes can and
not be separated from Shannon Sharp's right now, at least
since Sharp is a co host of First Take and
Steven A. Smith brought Shannon Sharp over, there are implications

(11:12):
for steven A.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Smith as well.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
That's the first thing when I tell you about this
second accuser, who was actually the first accuser.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Who has come forward.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
We woke up this morning, I said, oh my gosh,
there's a second accuser, and then I started reading the story.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
And her name she put her name out there is
Michelle Evans. She filed a lawsuit of sexual assault and
defamation lawsuit against Shannon Sharp in twenty twenty three. It
just wasn't publicized, which says to me that Michelle Evans
was not trying to destroy Shannon Sharp, but she wanted

(11:51):
him held accountable. And if you got kids in the
room right now, I need you to tell them to
leave the room because we're getting ready to have a
very adult converse. And I'll tiptoe around some of the imagery,
but I'm going you read it as best I can.
According to Michelle Evans, she was in a relationship with
Shannon Sharp for nearly a decade ending in twenty twenty ten,

(12:14):
when she says they got into an argument over his
alleged and fidelity. Evans alleges Sharp then requested that the
two have sex, and she refused. Quote the defendant proceeded
to forcefully subdue me, compelling me to my knees and
subsequently engaging in non consensual oral copulation. Yes, and it

(12:38):
goes on despite my protests, he persisted in this violation.
She's making it very clear, I said no repeatedly. He
goes on.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Quote Thereafter, Shannon's coercion escalated as he maneuvered me onto
the bed and achieved non consensual VJ penetration, while all
the while proclaiming his intent to make it so no
other man would want me. And that's a direct quote
from her. This is part of the allegations from Michelle Evans, who,

(13:08):
according to her, she was in a relationship and she
thought an exclusive relationship for nearly a decade, which ended
in twenty ten. She filed this suit in New York
in twenty twenty three. This was uncovered by People magazine.
This was not Michelle Evans going to the media. This
was not her dovetailing the Jane Doe lawsuit that we

(13:31):
talked about yesterday, and she said, well, if she sued,
I'm gonna sue. No, this is completely separate and unrelated.
In fact, I heard some people, well actually I had
some people contact me and said, you can't believe any
of these accusers because they're represented by Tony Busby, controversial
ambulance chaser. I get all that, but Michelle Evans, she's
not represented by Tony Busby.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
She's not represented by anyone. She did not choose legal counsel.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Whether that's sound strategy, neither here nor there. In other words,
she's not trying to publicize this. She is not trying
to ruin Shannon Sharp. She is not doing anything, which
is consistent of other cases that we've seen where you
try to embarrass the accused as much as possible. I

(14:17):
did say yesterday, and Twela, remind me if you heard
it as well, if you remember, I did say this
was gonna get worse before it got better.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
You absolutely said.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
That, And I said that this was avoidable and he
need not be found guilty of anything, he need not
be found liable of anything for him to lose everything.
And we're getting closer and closer to everything. It's Later
with mo Kelly. We'll have more on this in just

(14:46):
a moment. I want to hear what you have to
say about this in the chat, so go to our
YouTube channel if you're not already there, and let us
know what you think of these latest Shannon Sharp allegations
and we'll talk about it on the air in the
next segment.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI Am sixty.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Kelly on k and six Live everywhere, on the iHeartRadio
app and on YouTube. We're continuing our discussion of Shannon
Sharp and the revelation that there is a second accuser
who actually was the original accuser, just has not sought
any spotlight. The woman, Michelle Evans, had filed suit against

(15:33):
Shannon Sharp in New York in twenty twenty three, about
two years prior to these latest revelations and allegations by
the Jane Doe, not using her name because she didn't
put it in a suit. Shannon Sharp did reveal her
name in a defiance video basically denying all allegations. But
I put it to the chat on our YouTube stream

(15:56):
what they thought about Shannon Sharp and to just quickly
give an overview people. The majority of people think that
Shannon Sharp is going to be found liable and lose
at least a more prominent lawsuit ninety three percent. If
I have this stry, I think that there's going to
be another accuser who is going to come forward, and

(16:19):
I believe that. I think we're getting to see the
beginning of a pattern starting to take shape. And if
we use other similar type of scenarios, when we've seen
what happened with Harvey Weinstein, what we're seeing with r. Kelly,
what we've seen with Bill Cosby, it's never usually just

(16:39):
one person. And when you're talking about the fullness of
someone's history over the course of years or decades, you
find that pattern over a course of time. I don't
think and I'm trying to be very careful here. I'm
not saying that Shannon Sharp is liable as in a
civil sense, guilty of what he's been a care thankues.

(17:00):
I am saying I'm starting to see some similarities in
the allegations as far as forcible sex with women who
he's been in a relationship with. I don't know where
that line is in their relationship, but it seems at
this point there's a similarity in the two sets of

(17:21):
allegations in that regard where they're legend that Shannon Sharp
gets violent and very physical in a sexual sense.

Speaker 6 (17:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
I hate to say you're wrong, you're barking up the
wrong tree. But even the lawyer's response to these latest
allegations and the twenty twenty three allegations which came from
the twenty ten incident are the exact same.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah, they call them ridiculous. Yes, they're saying that there's
no physical evidence. And I talked about this a little
bit yesterday. We're not talking about a criminal trial where
it's proof beyond a reasonable doubt. We're just talking about
preponderance of evidence. Who basically has more. We got people
with some text messages, we have some testimony. There's probably

(18:14):
video which would scare me. You know, I don't know why.
I don't know why he's doing these sex tapes. I
don't know, but they're probably going to be probably featured
in discovery.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Yeah, I mean him doing the sex tape. It shows
that he has a proclivity for public displays of sex.
From my understanding, I did not see the first one,
but he was apparently acting out some things that many
people said he's probably seen in some films.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Let me put this like this, I think we all,
those of us who are sexually active, like what we like.
We all have our varying levels of kink as they
call it today. Okay, for some people it may be BDSM,
for other people it may be blow up doll.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
So I'm not trying to be funny.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
I'm just saying people like stuff that they probably don't
want publicized. That's my main point, and now it's starting
to be publicized with Shannon Sharp.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
The question is did.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
He cross a mutually agreed line relationships, People will do
things and they have a level of understanding with each
other as far as where that line is you can
do this, but you can't do that, or if you
start through that, they say no, no, no, no, no, we're
not going to do that. But there's a level of
understanding and the accusers thus far saying he far exceeded

(19:37):
that where it was not even close to a misunderstanding.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I said no.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
He continued. I continue to say no. He continued to continue.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Continue to continue with verbal threats and something that always
that always throws me into just a sense of sounded
kind of guilty is when and I'm not even referring
necessarily to Shannon Star, but in this case, when in

(20:08):
response to allegations against you, one you start off by
saying that it was consensual, but then you go into things,
as in this case, saying, you know, she wanted me
to help her kill her husband, and this, that and
the other, she was gonna leave her husband. And so
I'm like, see, well, now you're trying to pass up
because at first it was there's nothing to see here,

(20:29):
nothing wrong, this was consensual, and then you start to
get into trying to tear down her character and trying
to put us on the path of well.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
She's wrong and her I'm not a lawyer, but let's
go I see how this goes.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
I'm not a lawyer, but I see these what I
would call mistakes being made by Shannon Sharp. If you're
explaining you're losing, he's trying to give denials. If I'm
miss attorney's like, shut up, stop talking. All this is
going to be used against you. The fact that he
has given an account publicly of what the relationship was

(21:04):
or how many times they were having sex, all that
is going to be used against him at a later date,
and also plans to seed for a defamation lawsuit, which
is going to add to his legal issues. He had
no business revealing the Jane Doe's identity that's going to
be used against him. Yeah, all these things, I don't.

(21:27):
I say this about a lot of people, but maybe
I shouldn't. He should be too smart to be this dumb.
He should not be making these mistakes. He should not,
But now he's going to have to pay for them
because all this was avoidable. All of it was avoidable,
and now he most likely has irrevocably ruined his brand

(21:48):
regardless of whether he gets past these relatively unscathed or not.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
There's ESPN is not going to touch him with this.
There's no way.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
There's no way, even if we learn after the fact
that the accusers are questionable, even after the fact. I'll
give you a perfect example before we go to break
Jonathan Majors. We know more now about his accuser after
the effect, after the fact, than we did during the
height of the controversy and also the court case. Jonathan Majors, Yes,

(22:23):
was convicted, found guilty in a criminal matter, but the
accuser looks far worse under the light. After the fact,
we've learned more. None of that Marvel money came back.
I'm saying that you can do things, and even though
if you may be vindicated later on to a certain degree,
you may not get another chance to get back to

(22:43):
where you were. And there's no one to blame at
this point other than Shannon Sharp, because I'm sorry you're
dealing with and I say, dealing with someone who's nineteen
or twenty. Now, what happens if it comes out we're
talking about this twelve. What happens if it comes out
that they met four years ago and started dating, right,
We got a whole different story there. It's Later with

(23:08):
mo Kelly. We're gonna continue to watch and follow that story.
We're live everywhere in the iHeartRadio app and also on
YouTube at mister mo Kelly. From one person in trouble
to another person who's really in trouble. Former Congressman George Santos.
He got sentenced today to a real long time in
federal prison. We'll talk about it next.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
You're listening to Later with Moe Kelly on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
KFI.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Mister mo Kelly, We're live everywhere in the iHeartRadio app
and on YouTube, and I see the YouTube chat is
starting to light up.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
We have more and more people who are joining.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
I have to say, I have to say, you gotta
watch the YouTube stream, especially on Fridays, because we get
into a lot of silliness. We have a lot of fun.
Of course we have great conversations, but we have a
lot of fun. We get to interact with the chat.
There's a lot going on there and it's a great, great,

(24:08):
great addition to the radio show. Former Congressman George Santos,
he was sentenced today to some seven plus years in
federal prison. We knew about some of the foolishness though
he was involved in, as far as misuse of campaign
funds and buying expensive goods and lavish trips things of

(24:32):
that nature. We've seen that with a lot of congress people.
But George Santos went ten steps further than that. And
it wasn't until I started looking into what he was
sentenced for today did I really get a full sense
of how far he was into these fraudulent dealings.

Speaker 9 (24:51):
Listen to this, we just learned the sentence. George Sanchos
lied his way into Congress, and he just learned that
he will be paying the price with eighty seven months
in a federal prison. That's over seven years. The prosecutors
had asked for the max because they said nothing else
would capture the depth of his deceptions. Now you could

(25:12):
see Santos walked into the courtroom a courthouse amid a
crush of photographers. He was hugging some supporters who came
up to him. His eyes were bloodshot. He looked very
somber as he walked into the courtroom. He hung his
head and he spoke to the judge. He read a statement.
He said through tears that he was humbled, that he
had shattered the faith of many people. He had the

(25:35):
deepest apologies. He takes responsibility. He admitted that he betrayed
his supporter.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
See I can't believe that. If only because at no
point along the way did he demonstrate any self awareness
or contrition. It's only now, as he's being sentenced that
he wants to show any contrition.

Speaker 9 (25:56):
Quarters and the institutions that he was sworn to serve.
He said that he cannot rewrite the past, but he
asked for a balanced sentence. He said, I can still
contribute positively to the community. I wronged, But the judge
didn't buy it. She sentenced him just seconds ago, moments ago,
to the max eighty seven months in prison.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
This eighty seven months, eighty seven months. Who he got
everything that they could throw at him, everything they got.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
The prosecutors asked for the max. He got the max.

Speaker 9 (26:33):
Pled guilty to wire fraud and identity theft.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Wait, let's knock up. Now you get to hear all
that he was found guilty for and he.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Was sentenced for in prison.

Speaker 9 (26:44):
This is after he had pled guilty to wire fraud
and identity theft. The government essentially said that there were
five schemes that he was in, five criminal schemes that
he faked, campaigned owners to win support for a congresses
run that he stole from donors, one of them had dementia.

(27:04):
He pocketed pandemic and unemployment benefits, and he invented a
completely fabricated biography. He even used that in his congressional filings.
The government said that he had twenty one victims, but
that the biggest victim, of course, was the public that
he was supposed to serve it.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
All I can say is he didn't get cheated.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
If you're going to go to jail for seven plus years,
I should say prison, federal prison for seven plus years,
at least get your money's worth. He got his money's worth.
It wasn't like he was overcharged. He got his money's worth.
And what bothered me the most was the impunity. He
was almost like Flaunty what he was doing along the way.

(27:48):
He was going to run for Congress again. He had
no compunction, he had no self awareness, He did not
care up until the point that he was found guilty
on the day of sentencing. Couldn't have happened to a
better person. Now, see, these are things that you chose
to do. I don't look at politicians elected officials who

(28:11):
have a history of defrauding his or her constituents. They
should not be afforded any type of mercy or any
type of free pass. And it's actually rare that you
