Overshadowed Podcast
Overshadowed is a podcast about the siblings and spouses of people who changed the world. Have you ever felt overlooked or irrelevant because of your sibling’s accomplishments? How do you think Asia Booth felt after her brother assassinated Abraham Lincoln? Pretty bad! It overtook her life, and she even wrote a memoir trying to humanize John. ”He was so nice to everyone, I have no idea how this could’ve happened!” kind of stuff. Check out episode one to learn more (and try to overlook its ”episode 1” elements.) Siblings we’ve covered include: Nannerl Mozart, Theo Van Gogh, Marc ”Cage” Coppola, Joseph Bonaparte, and many more. We also cover spouses who (typically...) prop up their loved ones, like George Putnam (Amelia Earhart) and Lady Bird Johnson (Lyndon B. Johnson), although in grim cases like Cleopatra and Albert Einstein, those spouses don’t fare so well. This podcast is hosted by comedians Zach Russell and Charles Engle so chill out.
