We also go over failed or floundering promotions like TNA, GFW, CZW, and the industry-shaking #SpeakingOut Movement. We wrap it all up with the dark side of lucha libre as we cover Oro, Abismo Negro, La Ola Blanca, and La Dama Del Silencio.

I've compiled the biggest wrestling news stories for this episode. WWE's global ambitions, AEW and WWE visa issues, major injuries, heartbreaking losses, surprise departures, and the mysterious absences of EC3 and Jack Perry, I'm breaking it all down.

Ted Turner, who founded CNN and owned WCW for over a decade, passed away. TKO Group Holdings (and by extension, WWE) are cutting costs and requesting talent take pay cuts or pink slips. Is AEW's TV future in jeopardy? We've also got lawfare south of the border.

With WrestleMania 42 now in the books, I'm going to run down all the good, the bad, and the in-between. The build to the show was whacky, some of the matches were odd, night 1 was so-so, and night 2 ended pretty divisively.

Weird gimmicks, multi-people matches, nonsensical feuds, BS finishes, and ignoring the rules. That and so much more is what you can expect from WWF WrestleMania XV, which took place in 1999 in the home of ECW, Philadelphia!

It was the massive event that started it all! Was it the greatest wrestling event of all time? Not by a longshot. But WrestleMania 1 is near and dear to many wrestling fans, and it launched Vince McMahon's WWF empire into superstardom! Troy & Greg break it all down, match-by-match, segment-by-segment, and run down their opinions on this historic show.

We've covered, in two different ways, WCW's inaugural Uncensored event from 1995. Now, we move on to 1996, where The Mega Powers take on The Alliance to End Hulkamania (real name) in a 3-tier cage match. This event has 2-on-8, 3-story cage matches, the Booty Man, battling Hispanics for the US Title, feuding Europeans, giants clashing, a disastrous Chicago Street Fight, and more! My God, this was a beautiful mess.

In 1994, Extreme Championship Wrestling put on their infamous The Night the Line was Crossed show from the ECW Arena. In 1997, their historic Hardcore Heaven event took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Today, Greg and I are reviewing them both and having fun trying to figure out WTF is even going on!

We've reviewed this show once before, more in-depth, in episode 144. This was actually our first attempt at covering this abomination. We were more brief and concentrated more on the insanity of everything, having a ton of fun in the process.

The 2026 Royal Rumble just took place in Saudi Arabia. There isn't much to say about it. It was a fairly boring affair, as Rumbles go. But we'll discuss. Also, I'm bringing you the Dark Side of the downfalls of both WCW (in stages) and the NWA (also in stages).

From it's highest of highs on NBC to being passed off to Fox, then being cancelled, revived, cancelled again, and now back in its proper spot as a big time show, WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event has been to set to a lot of wrestling history. Greg and I talk about the greatest moments to come out of those shows and what it meant in the grand scheme of things.
