A podcast about a little bit of everything from an everyman. Join Trent as he takes on modern society, politics, fatherhood, health, self-improvement, and the journey to make the world a better place for future generations. Trent is a progressive everyman, swinging for the fences every single day. Hear stories from the 80s, takes on conservatism, the importance of listening and a veritable potpourri of jetsam from a sometimes fractured stream of consciousness. The first step to being a better human is opening up your mind and heart. Remember, we're all in this together. Intro and Outro music by The Ska'd Fathers written by Darren Murdock, Larry McCoy, Jason Jones, Brent Killey, John Tovaas and me...Trent Maddox. Artwork by my lovely wife, Emily. When James Carville said "It's the economy, stupid", he helped usher in Bill Clinton (and neo-liberalism) and crushed the republican brand for a decade or more forcing them to change tactics. In 2025, I propose we focus on corruption and abuses of power...of which there are literally hundreds of examples. The regime is dripping with self-dealing and underhandedness, not to mention the public middle finger they cons...
This episode features a very happy recollection of why I do all of this, followed by an honest discussion on the censorship of the Trump regime and it's threat against ABC/Disney over Jimmy Kimmel Live. And I round it all up with some real talk about the most ineffective domestic terror group ever accused of destroying a country of 340 million people...seriously? How dumb do they think we are?
A: very.
-Be good humans, peopl...
Violence is wrong. Murder is wrong. All violence, of all levels. But does everyone actually feel that way? Is this a "both sides" situation?
Following the murder of Charlie Kirk, the backlash from the right has been excessive and terrifying. But who remembers the name Melissa Hortman? She was assassinated less than 3 months ago, and the reaction wasn't quite the same.
And what other political violence have we not...
In the first of two episodes today, I talk about the effect the 9/11 attacks had on me twenty-four years ago and the long-term effects on so many that still haven't been addressed in meaningful ways.
Today we should remember the victims of the attack who tragically lost their lives, as well as their families and friends, all of the first responders and theirs.
A dark moment which we still haven't fully reckoned with to ...
I was gone for a whole extra week and have discovered two weeks of f%$kery by this regime is a whole lot to sort through. Anywhoo...here's another look at the illegal things they continue to do, a whole new illegal thing involving killing people in international waters, and how screwed we are with RFK Jr demolishing science.
And I forgot to plug this week's South Park, which was excellent.
Hang in there...things are chan...
Gerrymandering is bad, m'kay...
On this episode, we take a look at the mad king directed redistricting in Texas, as well as the response to it by Gavin Newsom and California. And some other stuff around fighting back against the rising authoritarian terror that is the Trump regime.
Joy...

What are we supposed to make of the deployment of even more national guardsmen, this time in Washington DC? Is there something nefarious behind it? Seems like the obvious answer is yes.
I also explain why democratic leadership is so unpopular right now.
Yup.
-T
Oh man does the regime not want people to be talking about this thing...they're throwing everything not nailed down in the water to chum it up.
Anything to not talk about Epstein.
So, let's talk about Epstein.
-T
The lying, the gaslighting, the strawmen, the cons...oh me oh my, the Mad King just can't handle the truth. It's beyond me why no one realizes the truth always catches up to the lies.
The disinformation and misinformation is completely out of control. And the worst time to invest in the future of our economy and our country is when a deranged dictator who prides himself on unpredictability is obviously also losing what&a...
This regime is doing anything to keep you from talking about the release (or lack of release) of the Epstein files. From bombing Iran, to stripping citizenship from a comedienne, to renaming football teams...just don't talk about the fact that The Mad King is all over them Epstein files!
But what I really wanted to talk about was Mad Donnie's definition of "treason". So I did.

The episode forty years in the making...ok, that might be overselling it a bit. But my experience with considering the implications of artificial intelligence goes back to the mid 80s. Culture, both traditional and pop, has been warning us regarding the wisdom of turning over our society to anything non-human.
Have we listened? Are we on the road to oblivion? Or is there some hot take I have about the whole darn thing?
Let's...
Conspiracy theories can be dangerous, scary, even overwhelming. What makes them bad? And why has the latest conspiracy twist actually penetrated the most fervent supporters of the Mad King Donald?
And is there any accountability left?
This one's a thinker.

It was a tough week for competence. Actually, it's been a tough 5 1/2 months for competence. What am I referencing? All of it. Absolutely all of it.
From the economy to foreign relations, from immigration to emergency response, this regime is in over its collective head. And we're all paying the price for it.
Keep the faith, though. We can still turn the tide.

Do the best you can with the time you have. Be kind. Be honest. Be generous. Be the best version of you.
In this episode, I share some thoughts on birthdays, tragic deaths, and an uncertain future...and I must say, I was spitting some bars here.
Love, Peace, and Faith

When I want to learn something new, I do it. The "DIY" attitude (Do It Yourself) was ingrained in me as a young man who didn't have two nickels to rub together. Mindset is a true asset, and if you can build a positive one, the battle is half yours.
Stay with me...I really say something here.
Enjoy,
-T
How are things going? Not great. How's the economy? How about public safety? And all the instability in the world...all the wars and whatnots?
Elect a clown, get a clown show.
And I've got something important to say about masks.
-T
We've all seen the news regarding the protests in Los Angeles and subsequent overblown military response. But where's the context? How did we get here? Where is all this going? How do the citizens and legal residents who happen to be Latino feel about these raids?
Context can explain a great deal, and we need a lot more of it. Talking immigration, fear, and protest because...we gotta!
Love,

It would be funnier if it were less tragic. With so much suffering on the line, it's hard to properly enjoy Leon Mush and Mad King Donny No Pants airing their grievances with one another on social media.
What do we make of it? And a bit on how Medicaid cuts effect absolutely everyone...even if you're not on Medicaid.
Love,
-T
There's always so much happening...how do we process it all? What if we have a bit of Manic Depression in our veins? Empathy and compassion are good things, but why do they make us feel so sad?
Stories of cruelty and corruption abound! They should only embolden us to do more.
Reach out if you need help. Please.
Love,
-T
What the hell did the house just pass and will it pass the senate? It's tax cuts for the rich and slashed services for children, the elderly, the disabled...basically everyone not rich.
Oligarchy, baby.
This timeline sucks.
