Hunting & Shit Podcast

We had an awesome time talking to Steve and Doug about hunting Santa Cruz and Catalina islands. Steve Walter (Owner of the Spot Archery) and Doug have been friends for a long time starting their friendship on the islands in the late 80s early 90s. We go over how the animals got on the island, the great stories on the island, and eventually how the animals where decimated. Stay toned for part 2 of this series.     

The TAC event of the west coast! We cover our experience at the High Sierra 3-D shoot both at Heavenly Lake Tahoe and at Bear Valley Ski Resort. Both where a awesome time and can't wait until next year. 

We're back in the saddle after our brake and coughing you guys up on what has had us occupied for the last few weeks.

We finish up the last 2 days of the late season. What a great season we had and can't wait for the rest of this years adventures.

The beginning of the end for our season. listen in as we go over the first two days of our five day hunt chasing the white devils.

We wrap up the season with discussing the struggle of chasing indecisive geese and finding permission on fields that aren't under water. We also have the best goose hunt we have ever been apart of.

We are finally back in the podcast room after our extended break through the holidays and ready to get everyone caught up on what we've been up to. In part one we go way back to the first half of waterfowl season and cover some of the hunts we took part in. We also come to a conclusion of Rickys wader situation and whether it worked or not.

We have the last deer hunting trip for the year. Cody goes to Idaho and hunts whitetail with his dad and unfortunately have bad luck getting a deer on the ground. Ricky goes over his X6A hunt and talks about the struggles he comes across.

This weeks episode takes us to Colorado where Taylor and his brother Garrett spend a week and a half chasing around Muleys. They talk about the ups and the downs of the trip and how they eventually filled out there tags.

We are in Mendota's infamous tent city doing a podcast right in the middle of duck camp. We have a couple great guests on including President of the Central Valley Delta Waterfowl Chapter. It was a great time and we hope everyone had a excellent opening weekend.

California refuges can be confusing. We go over the differences between reservations the lottery drawings along with first come first serve and how to apply for them. Taylor also talks about his successful deer hunt in California, never a dull moment with him...  

We check in with the guys on how everyones opening week of dove season is going along with a update on everyones deer season so far.

Hunting season is upon us! We talk about some of the preps we have going for the opening of archery season along with some up coming dove and early season honker hunts.

We get Big Rick (RED) in with us to talk about spring bear hunting tips and tricks. We discuss bear baiting and stories he's had throughout the years chasing black bears.
