The smart phones in our pockets have more computing power than NASA used during the Apollo mission to get to the moon. So, how did we get light years ahead of NASA computers is such a short time? The answer is: research. Nothing has shaped modern life more than research. Everything from the personal computer at your fingertips to the anaesthetic your dentist gives you to stop excruciating pain has been ushered in by major research breakthroughs.
