Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's talk about Moira's ring, but she has on your
your son Jackson has brought you a ring.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well, he bought it for himself, let's be honest.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
He actually got a gift baucher for Christmas, so he
went to Timo and he bought all this stuff for
all of us, which was actually really sweet, pretty cool.
He bought an electric water gun for Eli and himself.
He bought me a soccer mum hat, which is his
pink cap. He bought Paul a pillow with his face
on it, Paul's face, It's fantastic. And he bought a

(00:35):
ring and a bracelet for himself, but the ring didn't fit,
so I ended up with it. It's sort of like
a it's actually like a messally kind of ring.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's really really good stands out but it actually looks
really good. Yeah, it just reminded me because Credence, my youngest,
he bought his ole lder brother a ring for Christmas
the first time he went in there. He went into
a Jeweys shop, but I want to buy something special
for my this year, and you goes, can I buy
him a ring because he's likes his A little bit
of jury. Yeah, just got his earps and stuff, and

(01:05):
I go, yeah, you can buy him ring. So we
bought the first ring. It was the titanium ring and
he goes, I want something engraved on it, and I'm
going to write a poem. I went, okay, cool, So
you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Write a poem?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I said, how are you going to fit all that?
And he goes, no, I write a poem in a
card and I want to put one word on there. Okay, cool.
So we took it over and then we went to
engrave the word on there, but it was titanium ring
and the guy who already stat engraving, so he can't
do it. Sorry, I didn't know what kind of ring
it was.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Ah.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So we went back to the jury shop and I said,
thank you for that ring?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Can I buy another?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
May I have another? Sir?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
So we bought another ring and then he wrote the
card out and he goes, oh, this is what I'm
going to put in the card, and this is what
he wrote, always your brother, always my brother, always here
for me, always here for you, always and forever. And
then I'm engraved in the ring is always Oh that's
very sweet. And then Misi opened it. He read the
card and goes, oh, thank you, and he goes, now,
open the president, open.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
To the present.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
There it is, and he absolutely loves it. But we
want to know is there any like jewelry that you've
been handed down from, like maybe your mum or your grandparents.
I know that Credence was walking around with a gold
watch and I had no idea where he got it from.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I stole it from.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Yeah, that's what I thought. And I said, where did
you get that gold watch for? Because that looks a
bit ritzy. He goes, I was in a little container,
well in the cupboard, Yeah, tucked away at the back.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah, I was looking for the caubind were sitting there.
Who's pop norm? I said, that's your great grandfather. He's
passed away. That was his watch that he got when
he finished Westpac. Oh yeah, does it work us?

Speaker 4 (02:36):
No? No, no, why are you wear again? Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
It's been tucked away there, but he's just been wearing
it around.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
What are you doing? Do you have any like juries?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Like I have a lot of jury from my aunt.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
So I had also this is so mum had been
sick for quite a while. Yeah, and so she had
her engagement ring and she had so Sappi engagement ring
and there was a Sappi other ring that she'd got.
And just after she passed, we got a phone call
from a jewelers a specific fair and they said, oh,
we're looking for Annett McGregor. And it was like, well,

(03:10):
I'm awfully sorry, but she's passed away in the last
month or so.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
And they said, well her Layby.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Is jew and we went what lay By And she'd
actually gone when she was unwell and gone and lay
byed a third ring sapphire and diamonds. So there was
one for me, one for Hamish and one for Cawn.
She had good taste too, did she? Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, quite an outstanding balance.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Heather from Chevron Island. Do you have anything like that?

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Oh? I've actually got a little bit of a funny story.
My grandparents used to own a funeral home and when
my grum's and when my grandma passed away, my mom
came out with a dish of all these rings and
my uncle's like, oh, you know what they're from. They're
from all the people who have died and no one
claimed their jewelry. There were things a jewelry that now got.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Why God is that I'm just gonna sayd more, is
that from after they've been cremated?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
No, No, it's it's just.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
That I don't know. It was just you know people,
I guess their loved ones had passed on as well,
and no one was available to claim. It's actually quite sad.
I mean, it's kind of.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
It's very sad.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
It's not sad if you took them to cash converters.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I serious. How much journey do you think? Was there.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Probably about twelve rings or so?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
What with.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Those rings? Was there about a lot of bands? Usual
with it?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
We didn't, like I say, Dad's got them. We haven't
done anything with them because it's like.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I don't know, because that's the haunted part of the house.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Stones like stone settings in and some of like different
types of because you know in gold dury and whatever.
You see like what of his with the tiny numbers
that's got like different kinds of gold give her I'm
having graving, which is really sad.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Have you obviously looked at him?

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Had he charted on?

Speaker 1 (05:10):
No? Yeah, that's good because that's where that's where the
spirit takes ye, that takes you over.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I'm really that's like the best story. That's so good
that thank you and good luck. Are you going to call.
