(00:01):
Backstage with book. Welcome to thebackstage with Brooks. You're all access passed
to Music City, where nothing isoff limits. Grab a drink, let's
go backstage. We're backstage with LiaMarie Mason. How are you good?
How are you? It's always sofun meeting people for the first time,
because I feel like whenever you likewalk into this studio, it's like we're
(00:24):
just girlfriends having a chat. Sofeel so cozy in here. It's literally
the best. We were just talkingabout these neon signs and how everybody needs
a good neon sign in them intheir lives. You know, Yeah,
I really want one. I wantto feel like I'm at the bar twenty
four literally sleeping on neon light.Yeah, every night. Oh my gosh.
I love that. We'll welcome tobackstage with Brooke. I'm really excited
(00:45):
to kind of hear your story anda little bit of like the behind the
scenes of your life and everything thatwe don't get to see on social media,
because I know that's sure our life. Everybody thinks that that happens is
everything online, and I just feellike that's just not true. But I'm
excited to hear about you first andforemost. Can I just play this clip
because this has got to be oneof my favorite songs. I feel like
(01:15):
your voice is just so captivating.I remember hearing some of your music for
the first time, and it's justlike one of those things that happens where
you just like kind of stop, like everything just stops, and I just
love that. So, yeah,I know, I've always wanted my music
to like evoke some sort of emotion, you know, I want you to
feel something totally. That one's morelike an angry I mean, but sometimes
(01:36):
we need those songs. Yeah, sometimes we need to feel those motions.
But yeah, that song was oneof my more you know, it really
came from a true place. Soyou know, that's how I want like
all of my music to be,you know, just come from an authentic
place. I mean, yeah,I don't know. That's kind of the
vibe of everything that I'm doing nowand in the future. When you so
(01:59):
let's talk about holy for a second. So when you release a song like
that, or even just like startwriting a song like that, when you're
kind of going there with like somethings that happen in your life or you
know, somebody that ticks you offa little bit and you're like, I'm
gonna, I'm gonna write this song. Is it hard for you to put
those words on paper or are youkind of just like, let's get it
out. It's really easy in themoment to like write all these things,
(02:22):
and the hard part is like puttingit out because then you're like, oh,
now I have to deal with peoplelike listening to these harsher lyrics so
you know, interpreting them in liketheir own way or whatever. So I
feel like the hard part is likeputting it out. They're writing it was
easy and that came very naturally. So you're like, I know who you
are, and you're gonna hear itone day and sorry about it. Yeah,
(02:44):
there was a lot of a builtup emotion, so totally, and
it's I think it's such a cooloutlet to have to because I know a
lot of people, Like I wasjust talking the other day to a girlfriend
about how you know, some peopleare good at just like speaking and communicating,
and some people are just really goodat not speaking and communicating and like
being able to kind of take thosefeelings that you're having and like get them
out in a certain way as opposedto maybe get in a fight with somebody
(03:07):
or having an altercation or you know, spending too much money on Amazon like
whatever. I still do that sometimes, whatever the vice, you know what
I mean. I think it's justsuch a cool outlet to be able to
be creative in that way. Soyeah, for sure it prevents a lot
of you know, fights and thingslike that. Totally good. Okay,
Well, I want to go backto the very beginning of you Lea Marie
(03:29):
Mason and sort of just like whendid you fall in love with music?
When did you know? Well,I've always like sang and done music my
whole life. But when I waslike ten eleven twelve, I was in
a seventies rock band with my brother. Yeah, yeah, I love it.
So I was seeing like led Zeppelinand Heart and like doing all that
stuff, and we would play likefestivals like all across North Carolina. We
played from like thousands of people, honestly. So that's when I knew I
(03:51):
like love performing too. I waslike on stage constantly, and I was
like, I need to do thisforever. And so then I went to
college. I went to Berkeley Collegeof Music freshman year, and then I
transferred to a big deal yeah, whatever. Berkeley was awesome. I love
Berkeley. I love Boston, butI wanted to live in Nashville. So
then I transferred to Belmont and Ijust graduated like a year ago today.
(04:13):
Actually, I was like looking atmy memories and it's like in there,
Yeah, it's crazy, congratulations, thank you. Graduating college is a big
thing, dude. Well it wasso hard because I was like working,
like I had signed my publishing belike a year ago, and I was
like working at the same time aslike I was like still in school and
like graduating and stuff. So likethat's a whole other thing. But I'm
(04:34):
glad that I did graduate and everything. Like, even though it was hard
to do both at the same time, I think it was worth it.
I learned a lot. I meanit's like a really it's a real testament
to the real world when you're likebalancing more than you can handle. Yeah,
I was like, this kind ofsucks, but that's okay. Like
I remember, like I went tothis writing camp and I was like in
(04:59):
between my sessions, I was like, yeah, like i'll see you guys.
Like they're all like older, youknow, like producers and stuff,
and I was like okay, likeI'll meet you guys later, and then
I would like go up to myhotel room and like take a test and
then like go back to my session. I was like, this is so
sad. I'd feel like, notsad at all. I feel like,
I mean, it's a really bigaccomplishment to graduate college. Like I know
in my family, like my parentsand stuff like it took them. My
(05:20):
mom didn't graduate college. My dadwent back to school when he was older,
like when we were all young, and it's just like, it's such
a cool I don't know, havingthat piece of paper that says like you
did something that awesome. I feellike it sucks going through it. But
girl, like you did that, that's awesome. Thanks. Yeah it was
cool. I love Belmont. It'sawesome. So heck yeah, I mean
going to college in Nashville, Yeah, living living that dream that's got to
(05:44):
be a cool thing too. Yeah. Well it was cool and I wanted
to just move to Nashville. Myparents were like, no, you're going
to school. So that's but I'mglad. I'm glad that I did.
Like it worked out and it helpedme a lot, like with my career
now. So I'm glad that Idid, but it was definitely a lot.
It was a lot. Shout outto mom and dad for making you
go to school. Yeah yeah, thanks guys. Thanks. So when when
(06:05):
you know your career starts to dofun things, you know, you start
to kind of like hit that incline, What is that the moment? Like,
how do your parents kind of wraptheir minds around that? Are they
like, good thing you did moveto Nashville, Like yeah, I mean
they're so supportive. I'm so luckylike to have parents that have I mean,
they used to take me to myshows and I was like eleven,
(06:25):
like three hours away, you know. So they've always been like super supportive
of the music thing. So it'snice because they get it like sort of.
I mean they don't really get likethe industry side as much, but
they just think it's like the coolestthing ever. Like they go to all
my shows, like they think allthe stuff that's happening is like the coolest
thing ever. So always commenting onmy tiktoks. I mean, we love
(06:45):
supportive parents. Oh yeah, that'sit's kind of great that they have TikTok
because I feel like a lot ofparents nowadays, are like this internet stuff
is not a lot, you know. I mean, my parents like truly
like only follow me, but likeit's it's so cute. That's one extra
follow in the Oh yeah, thankyou. Sure. I know every time
I'm like, go like my TikTokguys, yes, yeah, So I
mean it's funny because my mom hasSnapchat and Patty loves to snapchat, and
(07:10):
I'm like, mom, I don't, like, I don't ever use Snapchat
anymore, Like I feel like Iused that like years ago. But she's
she like she's like holding on tosnapchat. She's like, I'm not getting
all these other ones snapchatting because I'mlike, okay, well do something like
go on Instagram and like comment orsomething. Yeah, the algorithm to help
me, you know, snapchatting helpmy algrove. Oh my goodness. Okay,
(07:30):
I wanted to talk to you aboutthis because I saw you post this
video about Taylor SWIP's dad being inthe audience. O mean you guys,
Okay, my public is right here. No one told me by the way
that he was there, and Ithey're ex claiming that they didn't know off.
Yeah, it was terrible, Likehonestly, I'm glad that I didn't
know. But one of my friendsI was playing with me was like,
(07:53):
oh yeah, like like by theway, like Taylorship's dad was there,
isn't that crazy? And I waslike, what, mister Swift, mister
Swift, are you kidding me?So yeah, that was kind of crazy.
So basically, Taylor Swift is mybest friend. Maybe maybe he went
back and reported about how amazing you. I can only dream honestly, so
(08:13):
so I would assume that you're swifty. You love Taylor Swift? Oh?
I love I love t Swift forsure. Did you get to see her?
Erasty? No, I haven't seenher. I know it's so tragic,
but I feel like I'm living vicariouslythrough like every all the thousands of
stories I see all the time.I feel like I know the show,
like I know all her outfits,I know the set list, and like
(08:33):
I feel like I did go Well. Maybe we can, maybe for some
some way, that Taylor Swift willsee a clip of this podcast on somewhere
yeah and be like, hey, listen, your dad saw her. Let's
get her to it. Yeah,Like me and your dad are pretty much
friends, which means like me andyou are kind of friends, which means
you should invite me to your showfor sure. Everybody tag Taylor Swift.
(08:54):
Yeah, everybody tagged Taylor Swift.Got to get you to see it.
I will be. I was likenot a huge Taylor Swift fan, like
loved her, love her music.I remember back my very first radio gig
back to December was like the songthat was on the radio. So I
like remember that phase of Taylor Swiftwas like when it was like just starting
(09:15):
to become this crazy phenomenon. Butone of my best friends is obsessed with
her, so she flew to Nashville, got tickets to the show. We
went together and like I left theshow of Swifty like she's hearing people say
that, Like I keep seeing tiktoks. I come up on our for you
page and they're like, oh,like my friend like wanted me to go,
So I went with her, andlike I'm leaving like the biggest Taylor
(09:35):
Swift fan ever. Like the show. I feel like it's just so phenomenal.
I feel like when you can goto like a live show and become
a super fan, that's like aneven crazier thing. Yes, I'm girl.
I left with merch and everything else. Like I bought a sweatshirt and
I got a T shirt. Iwas like, I'm doing it. But
yeah, no, Taylor Swift isshe's unreal for sure. Yeah she can
(09:58):
put on a show for sure. Can imagine performing forty what five forty four?
Like three hours? Right? Yes? Yeah that's crazy And like in
the pouring rain, I'm like, that is just wild. I don't even
know like the technological what goes intothat well. And I heard somebody to
talk about how you know the amountof money she's making on this tour,
but how she's like bringing the economyup there there. I'm like, let's
(10:18):
go. She would like help theeconomy by like however much percent she's like
helping president twenty four. Okay,I'm in, I'll vote for you,
queen for you, queen. Okay. So we know that Taylor Swift obviously
is you're a fan of her,But who are some of your other musical
influences? Who do you look upto? Gosh, there's so many,
and like I feel like whenever peopleask me this question, I just have
(10:41):
so many that comes to mind.Like I love Taylor Swift, I love
like Tyler Hilders. I love CaseyMusgraves obviously a lot of influence from her.
Yeah, but I also love likeColdplay and like Hosier and like bony
Bear and like that kind of stuff. I love Phoebe Bridger. She's like
my queen, like boy genius.I really love all music. If it's
good, I'll like it, Imean, and I feel like that's important
(11:03):
because if you stick to like onelane, you know what I mean.
I feel like an eclectic like lovefor music is so important when it comes
to like making music because there's somuch to say in so many ways to
say it. So that's the thing. Like even like I'm such a like
lyric heavy person and so like listeningto like all different genres of music is
like super inspiring to me. Yeah, Like I love like rege and I
(11:24):
love like, you know, evenlike hyper pop. Like I'll listen to
like weird stuff sometimes, but likeit's so inspiring. Like I love like
just taking influence from everything, andI'm like there's so much out there,
you know, Like, yeah,it's just it's kind of an amazing thing.
Yes, there is. Well,we got to talk about some of
the people maybe that you would saydream collaboration, like somebody that you would
(11:45):
just like love to work with, open up for talk to something. Yeah,
well, I for sure Casey Muskraves. I she is the Queen.
I love her so much. Andthen I was talking to my boyfriend about
this the other day. But I'mlike, if Chris smart En wouldever collab,
I think he's only done like twocollapse and one of them was with
Rihanna, So you know, thisis like a far fetch dream. But
(12:07):
Chris Martin, if you're listening,I would like, if I could do
a cold Play collab, I woulddie. Okay, so so funny.
My daughter's too, and she isobsessed with the movie Sing okay yeah,
and there's cold Play song in there, and else brought that up to me
recently. That's so weird. Thisguy was like, yeah, my daughter
listens to this and she thinks it'slike the Hippo song or whatever whatever animals
(12:28):
sings the Cold Place john It's Johnny, It's the Little Gorilla. Okay.
Yeah, So my my daughter isupset. She's like, good job Johnny
and America, and I'm like, job Johnny. That's so funny. It's
the cutest thing ever. But it'sfunny because it's like out of all the
songs and there's songs from like ArianaGrande in there, there's Rihanna, Like
there's all these like songs and it'sjust like she goes to cold Play.
(12:50):
I mean cold Play is so special. I mean like like they're one of
the bands or whatever that like makesyou feel something. I'm like, you
could not know what they're talking about, but you can feel what they're saying.
Like it's so crazy. I don'tknow. Love love you, Chris,
love Chris Harden. Please do acloud memory, Mason. Okay,
my dream. Okay, let's talkabout some fun things that are coming up
(13:13):
for you. More new music, which is always exciting. Tell me everything
that you can say. This musicthat I'm putting out is the most vulnerable
music I've ever made. It's likevery personal and means a lot to me.
Like so I feel like the youknow, however this music works out,
(13:35):
will like probably affect me more thanlike anything else ever has, you
know, like how well it doesor whatever, just because it's like super
personal and like I just love itso much. And honestly though, like
if I can help like one person, it'll be worth it because it's a
song that like I would have neededthat didn't exist before. So yeah,
I'm super excited, kind of nervous, but you know what makes you nervous
(13:58):
about it? It's just so vulnerable. Honestly, it's like super uh just
it. It's about like a toughexperience that I like have had like throughout
my life, so you know itcould like me a little nerve wracking totally.
And it's like what we were sayingearlier, like it was easy to
write, easy to write, hardto put out. So it's kind of
like that. So when I feellike when you have something to say that's
(14:20):
hard to put out, like that'swhen you know it's going to change like
people. And when people receive it, they'll receive it in their own way
of like whether it's healing or whetherit's comfort or whatever it is. And
I think it's really special when artistsare that vulnerable and they're like, hey,
I'm gonna put my heart out onthe line and I'm going to be
who I am and tell you whatI have to say and then you know,
(14:41):
let the world hear it and saywhat they want to say about it.
You know, it is it's gotto be nerve wracking, for sure.
It's a little nerve wracking, butit can be so rewarding though,
because then, like you know, just all the messages, even like with
Holy Water, like oh, likeI've been through this, Like this helped
me so much. Like like juststarting even like conversations around it or whatever,
that's like the payoff, you know, so like if I can do
(15:03):
that for someone, like it's worthit. Yeah, if you could rewind
back to the very beginning, whenyou're in this you know, rock band
with your family and tell them ortell yourself that you're gonna move to Nashville,
you're gonna graduate school, and you'regonna have a music career. It's
crazy because at the time it seemedso like distant, so impossible almost.
It's like, oh, like I'mreally gonna like move away and like do
(15:26):
all this stuff. And honestly,I feel like just starting is like the
hardest part, like just like leavinghome. I feel like, or like
you know, trying to like immerseyourself in this music city community or whatever,
like that's the hardest part. ButI don't know, it's been so
worth it though, Like I'm soglad I'm here. My younger self would
be so so proud and happy forme. So yeah, that's a nice
(15:48):
thought to think about, totally takingmy younger self proud. Yeah, one
PC. And then like I meaneven now to like say ten years from
now, the ten years from now, you're gonna look back at this moment
and be like, dangs, youwould be so proud too. Yeah,
hopefully. It's so cool to havethose like realization moments and to just i
mean pat yourself on the back becauseyou got here, you know what I
(16:11):
mean, and chasing that dream. You're one stuff closer, right, And
that's like I try to like thinkabout like my blessings and like how lucky
I am. You know, likeif like five years ago, if I
looked at me today, I wouldbe like, oh my god, like
that's crazy, Like you're doing allthat stuff, Like that's what I want
to be doing. So it's it'seasy to like look to the more and
like what you want to do inthe future, but like it's important to
be like thankful and appreciate like whereyou are now too, I think so
(16:33):
really yeah, I love that.Yeah. Do you think that there are
like really hard moments in these youknow, in the this formidable, you
know, the very beginning of yourcareer where you're like trying to establish who
you are. What are some ofthose challenges that you go through that you're
just like, oh, I feelyeah, I feel like one of the
hardest things is like living so insuch close proximity to like you're I don't
(17:00):
want to say this, but likecompetition. I mean that's not like necessarily
the right word, but like comparingyourself is like a real thing in this
industry, like you know, SoI don't know, I feel like that's
one of the biggest things I've struggledwith in the past. But I will
say recently, I come to likevalue my individuality and kind of like really
lean into that because I feel likethat's what makes you unique, Like that's
(17:22):
what makes people become a fan ofyou. I'm like, just be yourself,
which is like so much easier saidthan done, but it's true,
Like like literally no one is you. Like trying to be someone else isn't
going to get you to where youwant to go. Like you have to
just be your se yourself. AndI feel like I just said this in
a podcast recently with someone else.I can't remember who it was, but
we were talking about like running yourown race, right, and like literally
(17:45):
track stars are like taught to lookahead. Like the second you look to
the side or to the other sideor you try to look back, that's
when you trip and fall, andthat's when you, like, you know,
lose the race. So it's likeif you just stay in your lane
and you're like, I'm gonna runmy race and just like hate my eyes
forward, like you're just you're going, yeah, you have to really,
and it's so hard, Like Ican feel so hard, like I just
(18:06):
want to see though you're like Ican't put your winders on. That's what
I'm saying. Put the binders onand keep fighting for what you want and
who you are, because I feellike once you do in this industry,
like if you start to lose yourself, yeah, it's just like I mean,
Dan and Shay just went through itwhere they're just like we were losing
who we are and who we werein the very beginning, and now you
know, we're stronger than ever andit's just like, yeah, keep who
(18:27):
you are, queen. Yeah, yeah I'm and yeah, I mean it's
been a journey for sure, butI feel like I'm finally in that place
where I'm just like so like,i don't care what anyone else is doing.
I'm just gonna do what I feelis right, you know, Right,
Okay, I want to play anotherclip of a song of yours that
literally made me laugh out loud whenI heard her the first song to you
(18:52):
trust because I feel like I waslistening to something recently and you were talking
about this song trust Fund Cowboy abouthow you said there was people in your
hometown that were this way, butthen you moved to Nashville and they were
the same. Yeah. Yeah,I was like, oh, maybe there'll
be real cowboys now. Now,now you're like, what is happening?
(19:14):
Where did this song come from?Tell me about this one? Well?
Like, so I had walked intothe writing room that day and I was
like, you guys, like Ithink I had just gone to like a
round or like something where like abunch of these kinds of people were around.
Yeah, you're good, And Iwas like, we have to write
about this. I was like, there's no other choice. I'm like,
it's replaying in my head. Ihave all these lines like let's go and
(19:36):
we literally wrote it in like thirtyminutes. I wrote it with Jason Reeves
and Claire Douglas and we were laughing, we were dying, laughing, like
crying, like some so many ofthe lines didn't even make it into the
song because they were like a littletoo much, but they were so funny,
Like this song was just like sofun to write. And I kind
of like posted it on Instagram andTikTok as like kind of like I was
(19:56):
like, listen to this like hilarioussong that I I wrote, and it
like blew up and people were justlike, oh my god, so true,
like so many people related to it, which was like so cool to
see, and it literally made meput out the song. Like I didn't
even know if I was going toput out the song when I had first
posted it, and then I waslike, Okay, well obviously I have
to release it. You can't.Funny how social media always has other plans.
Yeah, I always had other plans. I'm like, have things lined
(20:18):
up, and I'm like, ohno, that's not gonna happen. We
have to do this instead. Sothat's amazing. Yeah, No, that
song when I heard it for thefirst time, I remember I was just
like laughing so hard. I waslike, it's so true. Though.
It's like all these people think thatthere's something and they're like, no,
Daddy bought you. Like it's fineto be something, but just don't pretend
to be something. I'm like, that's the whole point of it. I'm
(20:38):
like, you're like your poster kindof you know. It's like we're just
talking about it. Just be you, be you, Be you. Okay,
that's the moral of the story podcast. It's just be you and don't
be afraid to be you, becauseI feel like so many times we do.
We see things on social media orwe see another person doing something that
(21:00):
you want to do, and wetry and strive to like be that person,
when at the end of the daythat person already exists. So it's
like there can be two of them, yeah, no, or you'll be
like a watered down, like wantingto be version of that. So it's
like, just just be the nameof the next single. I know,
like that's write a song about. That's for real. I love it.
(21:22):
Okay, let's talk about just maybesome of the people in the industry who
have been really good catalysts for youpeople who have just been huge champions of
yours that maybe have given you apiece of good advice along the way,
or for sure. I mean,I have like a really amazing manager that's
been in the music industry for years. He worked on a lot of like
Rihanna stuff and like Rick Ross andhas just like every like a lot of
(21:45):
like huge pop hits and everything, and he's given me the best advice,
has been so supportive of me.He's one of those people that's like,
I know, it's so hard todo this, but you really just have
to like keep your head down andlike go at this like in your own
way. He's like, trust me, I've seen it time and time and
time again. The people that succeedthe most are the people that like have
a really strong sense of self andthey don't tried, they don't care about
(22:07):
looking at other people because they're justlike I know that, like what I'm
doing is cool, you know.So I feel like that's been like a
really strong piece of advice that I'vegotten, And I'm lucky to work so
closely with someone that has so muchlike experience in that world. And besides
him, my producer as well. His name's Jason Reeves. He he used
(22:27):
he did a lot of like ColbyCalay's for stuff like that whole first album,
and he's been like super successful inthe music industry, but really helped
me like pull out my artistry. He was like, just speak about things
that are like true to yourself.Like he made me like not afraid to
be vulnerable, which is so cool. So yeah, he's another person that's
(22:47):
just done a lot for me asa person and as an artist. It's
the best when people within the industrykind of like give you nuggets of knowledge
along the way and just aren't afraidto help somebody else get somewhere else.
You know. It's so nice tohave someone who's like been so successful,
like champion you you're like, oh, like you like me and my stuff,
Like that's cool, And I meanthat's what makes the world go around,
(23:07):
right, Like it's about helping peoplealong the way, and whether that's
by giving them a compliment and makingthem smile or helping them not make the
same mistake you did. Right,Absolutely, for sure, this year is
halfway over. Believe it or not. Can you believe that? No?
It makes me so scared, Itmakes me sick to think, well,
(23:29):
we're like more than halfway through theyear, but I keep thinking about the
rest of this year, and howlike at the start of the year,
you know, we all make theselike resolutions on things we want to accomplish
and things like that, but Ifeel like towards the end of the year,
there's always a list of things thatwe maybe didn't quite get to but
we still would like to. Isthere anything that's like on your vision board
or things in your life that you'relike, Man, if I could accomplish
(23:51):
that this year, that would beawesome. Yeah. I mean, honestly,
I've been like writing a lot,and I feel like I'm like writing
and recording some of like the bestmusic I've ever made, like so far.
So honestly, I feel like thisyear has been a lot of like
put my head to the grinds, put my nose to the grinds zone,
and like really like work. AndI feel like that was kind of a
goal that I had. I waslike, I just need to work for
(24:12):
a year. I was like,I need a year to like work and
like whatever. So I'm I'm gladthat I like accomplished kind of like some
of those like just working goals thatI wanted to do to like achieve or
whatever, but I don't know asfar as like, I mean, I
definitely want to like go on tour. Yeah, that's like definitely something I
want to do. I would loveto do like a headline tour or like
(24:33):
open for an artist that like Ilike really love. So that's definitely like
a goal and something I want todo in the future. But right now
I still am like kind of inmy grind zone, like really just kind
of going every day. So yeah, I mean you're right out a school
girl, Like, yeah, rightnow, in this moment, you are
crushing it. Okay. When Igraduated college, I was working for eleven
(24:55):
dollars an hour. I don't evenknow I was a a. I was
a receptionist at are Eurology office. So like you're crushing a girl, Well
thank you. It's like those jobswe look back and we're like, you
know, they keep us humble,Yeah, humble beginnings. You know.
Yeah. I used to be ahostess at like a restaurant so for a
while, and I got paid literallyseven dollars an hour. Yeah, girl,
(25:17):
there that should be illegal, honestly, And then maybe if the servers
tipped you. On top of that, you're like, yeah, maybe if
you rolled the silverware or something.Yeah, crappy. Yeah, no,
it sucked. Can you imagine anybodyin this world in twenty twenty three working
for seven bucks an hour dollars anhour? No, I'm like four tacks
Okay, yeah, no, Iwas. I was making no money,
(25:37):
like literally, it was so Imean, I was still like living.
I was in high school though,so like that was like my one of
the first jobs I ever had.But I was like, this sucks.
I was like, I can't affordanything. But then also you're like,
wow, I'm making my own money. Yeah, but then it's cool too.
You're like I can buy a shirtwithout asking my parents. Yeah,
I got the movies without asking mom, and dash for money for popcorn,
(26:00):
and man, the freaking blessings inlife, you know? True? How
about perspective? Yes? Right, yeah, you made that seven dollars an
hour girl, Yeah I did.Okay, Well, I always end the
podcast with this gumball machine that's rightnext to you, except for it,
like the gumball question machine. Atthe very bottom. There's a question.
There's like little random questions. They'reall you just never know what's going to
(26:22):
come out of it? So fun? Do I just open it? Just
open her up. I'm nervous too, because I did not read this one.
Oh good, If you had tomarry any TV character, who would
it be? I literally knew itbefore I even finished the gosh. She's
like, I know who who isTommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders. I love
Killian Murphy. I'm pretty sure that'show you say his name. But I
(26:45):
love him and I would marry him. And I know he's already married,
and I'm pretty sure he has likethree kids, but I don't care.
An in another life, right right, in another life, we would have
been together. So okay, I'mliterally probably gonna make you so bad saying
this. I never seen Peaky.Oh my god, it's so good.
He's kind of like an ass whole. I don't know if I can.
(27:06):
You can, but but like, why does it make? And he's like
damaged and I'm like, it's kindof like sexy. I'm like, what
does that say about me? Idon't know, but yeah, I mean
it would be a good song.Yeah, I love Damage. It exists
alrighty in the backlog, Oh mygoodness, Well Lea Marie Mason. I'm
(27:30):
