studio right now, little Sean.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
What up man, Man? What's up? Pluck?

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome in, welcome in you all smiles, bro, Like I'm
not even in the front man.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I don't follow anybody until I meet them at least once. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
And when you posted that you heard yourself on the
station one time, I just got through your I started
scrolling through yourself and your energy on your social media.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Bro, you just elude good energy. You're just happy.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, Man, I try to be excited, you know, about
things in life, you know, because everybody don't get, you know,
to experience a lot of things in life. So I
kind of like appreciate it. And I appreciate you for
doing everything you know that you're doing for me right now.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
No, I'm not doing anything. You're you have a hit
record on your head. By the way, my job is.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
To play hit records. So congratulations, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
And again, like I said, man, your your energy through
that definitely shows and like you're you have good energy
around you, man, And like you said, you're you can
tell you're grateful and you're just happy where you are,
which is which it's hard to. I know a lot
of people fake that, but I know there was no
faking in it.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Just no, this ain't this ain't no faking. Man. I
didn't been through a light.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
So yeah, when I when I finally get to see
something go, you're.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Like, oh, let's go. Yeah, that's how I feel, right, I.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Love it, And you got to hit records. This leave record. Man,
it's a fun record.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I think this year I was telling everybody, I feel
like this year the music is going to be a
lot of down tempo, like R and b's making a
nice little comeback right now, it's gonna be that like
soul trap right, like right, you know that soul R
and B or whatever. But this comes in and it's
a fun club upbeat. Like the beat kicks in and
it's like yes.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah, and I get straight to it. Like when I
first heard the beat, you know, it called me, it
called my attention. I was like, man, I got to
coach stright in with the verse. You know, I can't
leave them no space at chilling or nothing, no relax,
no nothing, coach straight in. And I think that's what
music is missing. I think we missing the funding in it.
Like you said, and the energetic like you know, happy
happy again, Like I want when you heard my music,

(01:55):
I want you to feel like you ride down sun
said boulevard, palm trees and sunshine. And that's that's how
I feel about it.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
No, it's great, man.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
And as a DJ who rocks, that's a fun record because,
like I said, that down type of records, it makes
it a little tough sometimes to make the room turn up,
you know what I meant? All right, So talk about
your music career. Man, how long you been doing this?
I know you got family members that are in the
music business. How long have you been doing it on
your own?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Now? Like making this happen on my own.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Really, I've been doing it for over ten years. It's
been a long time. So, yeah, this ain't luck.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
You know. I feel like this was destined. Yeah, you
feel me. I grind it. I never stopped.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I never gave up when people told me no, I
just I had okay cool and I just kept going.
I believe in myself. You know, I got a passion
for music. I got a passion for my music and
the people around me that believe in me.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
So, you know, I just want to make my mama.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Proud, nice, and how is she liking everything? Obviously the
first ten years or even now. I mean, it's just
another level of where you're going right now. But we
also know there's a lot of heartache that comes with it,
a lot of nose, a lot of brick walls in
front of you.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
You got to break those down, you know, And that's
as a parent.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I'm not a parent, but I know parents don't want
to see their kids hurting or struggling. That's why a
lot of times music and athletes is like, why.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Don't you go to school? And you know, so, how
was it with that with your family?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Well, well, my mom actually passed when I was younger,
so you know, but she actually supported when I was
really young and wanted to be a rapper, you know,
and she was like, okay, cool. She actually got me
like my first show, you know, and she did that.
But once she passed and everything, you know, I took it.
I took it really serious, you know. But as far
as my family, they support of But you got to

(03:32):
show people that you really want to do this, you know,
because when you tell somebody, man, I want to be
a rap I want to be a basketball player, they
just sound like, oh man, you can't really do that,
but like, no, I'm gonna show you.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I'm gonna show you. This is one I'm gonna do.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So that's that's how my family is, like I will
support it, but go to school, you know what.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
That's that's how they feel about it. Nice.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
I when I was younger, when I was the same thing,
like people were like, oh, you were gonna be a DJ,
and I use that as motivation to show them that
I'm actually gonna gonna be running.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, exactly. Nice. Nice. That's what's something that's okay.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
You're on the road now, You're enjoying life, even getting
free tickets.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Bro, you're an artist. I saw what your post.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
You're like, yo, looking down on the free tickets bro,
Like you're so saying to get that.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I got yeah, because I just genuinely love music and
I love concerts. Like my favorite part of a concert
is when they first come on stage because I'm watching
the reaction to everybody. I'm watching how they walk on stage.
I just watch, like you know, the production and things
like that, just how you how you do your thing
when you come out on stage. So I always love
to go to a concert, especially from my favorite.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Artists, and you're probably like observing how I mean, you're
also kind of work mode like that.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
So when I when I'm looking at how they coming
on stay, what they doing? You know, just everything how
the crowd react, Like what gets the crowd reaction? Like
do you just walk on stage? Do you pop on stage?
I tell my manager all the time. Listen, I need
what is called a pop tart? What it is when
you Yeah, I want to pop out like Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
That's what I want to do. It's a toaster.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I know.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
It's something like.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
That pop tart toast, one of them. I tell I'm
popping out. I don't curt. Okay, you're knees and everything.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Okay, Hey listen, I'm gonna make sure.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
If it ain't, we gonna we're gonna follow on stage
to keep going.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Little shouts in here right now. Leave is the song
that has been taking off. Let's get into the record
and we'll come back to tomorrow. Little Sean going in and

Speaker 2 (05:26):
And a shine. That's a shank.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Let me tell you shout when you at l brung
up up to my hotel, set up what she wanted
to heir?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Now she put it on my field. Head up.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I got that valet so that I pay up bill.
She wanted to do it smash and then lest she
want to chill? I cat shall she arrogant?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Go to school? That spelled? Man? How her friends got
shelter dropped out for failing? Why she telling me this?
Why why she telling me that? I tell her what
he leave right the little seanes of the building. Fun
record man, great job man, Yeah, thank you. Won't motivation
on that record. Man, you've been caught up in a
lot of spots that you don't want to be in.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Oh no, it's just like storytelling that I feel like,
you know, like doctor Susan somebody, I'm just writing a book.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I'm just writing a book.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
How about you got in there in the can now
that you're this record is really starting to connect.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Like I said, I've been doing music for a long time.
I got a lot of music, A whole lot were
gonna have to go, you know, check something out one day,
you know, sit you in the studio and that you listen.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Oh, I'm down. We got we got we got oxes,
cables and everything. Yeah. No, I got a lot of
music though, a lot. All right.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
So now you're here doing the promo run and I
want to get you ready for when you come back
to Boston to do your shows.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Okay, So this is what we're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
You know, You're you're gonna pretend that Mike is You're
you're on stage, okay, and you're getting the crowd ready.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
All right, I'm getting the crowd ready. Yeah. So there's
a lot of cities in Boston. Where are you from?
I'm from Saint Louis, Okay, Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
There's a lot of little suburbs that you got to
shout out when you're in Saint Louis, right, because not
everyone's not from Saint Louis. Saint Louis, right, Yeah, I
get that, you know. So now I want to you know,

crib called Peabody. Oh you do, okay, it spelled just
like this body. What you say, Peabody. He's got me confused.

(09:47):

But see that's why when you come out here. See now,
I got your back. Yeah, that's how you get through
the crowd lit up here by saying it right. I
gotta say you do that now. I feel that everybody
is special. Everybody is special. There it is, man.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
I love that little Sean's in here right now. Thank
you so much for popping by. Man, what do you
want to tell Boston? I know you listened your first time.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Out here, y'all.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Check me out on all social media's l I L
S H X w N it's shine with an X.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Which one do you use the most? I heard you
say something by twitch too.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
I stream on Twitch and I use Instagram a lot too,
so Twitch is Instagram is my too? Two things I
stream on Twitch and uploaw picks on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
So when it comes to twitch, what are you? What
are you doing on Twitch? Like you got to be
doing something special. I'm not really well what I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
I'm kind of like showing the fast that's growing with me,
you know, just the behind the scenes of what's going on,
you know, of an up and coming artist.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Like usually I would take them to the radio station.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I was showing when I'm getting ready my clothes, phoneo
shoots everything.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
So you know, I'm just letting them become one with me. Okay,
and now I know you've been doing this for a
little bit. What's the end goal? When?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
When does little Sean say? Okay, I've met Jay Cole
said this perfectly. He said when I was He's like,
you're always in a hamster whel trying to chase Chase.
Is there a place that you would want to be
where you're like, Okay, I am good. Now this is
what my goal was?

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Or is there no end goal?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
I mean, I love music so much, I don't think
I would ever stop doing music. But just to answer
the question, I feel like my end goal when I
feel I don't think I ever be comfortable because I
just don't want that mentality, right, But when I think
I'm comfortable is when the machine is working itself, when
I can just sit back and sleep when I want
to sleep. I don't have to go on tour every day.

(11:58):
I don't gotta do shows every day, wake up and
do what I want to do. That's when I feel like, you.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Know, I succeeded nice And I always ask the new
young artist, you heard yourself on the radio.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
You got super excited, super excited.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Okay, So talk to me about the difference between the
streaming world and the radio world.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
The radio wors like a it's a major stamp because
the radio been around forever. And you know, back in
the day when you used to hear bow Wild and
all of them on the radio, you're like, yo, that's somebody.
It don't matter nowhere else you heard that, or you
heard on the radio like he made it or he's
making or one of the others.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
So that's that's how I feel about the big, big difference.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
When it comes to someone adding it onto a playlist
on anything, yes, yes.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yes, yes, not down playing playlist. Radio add me to
the playlist, but no, the radio.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
I love the radio. It feels it feels really good. Nice,
and this is one of the first times you caught
yourself actually in the car. Yes, yes it is. It
actually is my first time actually catching it on the
radio in the car like live. See. That's the element
of surprise of radio too. That's the key of the
like oh yeah, like oh my song is on and
you shot yo shot. Yeah. No, it's crazy though, I

(13:08):
love it.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Well, congratulations, you got a great team around you.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
I know you've been posting up like all these stations
that are playing it, but you really do feel like
you like are enjoying that moment too.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Man, I'm definitely soaking it all up right now, like
I'm really appreciating it. Yeah, and it haven't really just
hit me yet, Like they're like, man, you just got
edited this many stations and all this.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I'm like cool, Like I'm ready to have more stage.
So I'm gonna put game real quick.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
The reason the streaming world and the radio radio is
concentrated when you're when Boston plays it, I have I
have a chance of two million people in Boston alone
that could hear your record, whereas social media it's a
worldwide number. So yeah, your two million streams are great,
but you're going up against a worldwide number, so you
don't know where that number is coming from. I mean,
you know, I know you do your analytics and stuff

(13:57):
like that, but when Boston or any city play, it's
only in that and that those eyes and ears are
in Boston at that moment.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
You know.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, No, that's what That's what I love about it
right now, just like you say, looking at all the
analytics and having my manager tell me, like, yo, this
city planning it the most.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
This city plan. So I'm kind of like learning.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Where the support is strong at right now, and then
I'm learning also where I need to, like, oh, you
know what we need to work this area, Like I
want to take over.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Man, I'm trying. I'm trying to be the best.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
And then doing this promo stuff. This is also new
for your young The young ones don't want to do
this promo stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
See, but talk to me. I'm a fan of the game.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
I want to go back to real billboards, cups on
the highway and post us on the side of a building.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
That's what I want to do.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
That's exactly what I want to put flowers on cars
at the club, That's what I want to do. So
I want to come, you know, talk to the DJs
like I want to make everybody feel appreciated because, like
like I said before, plenty of times, y'all don't have
to do this.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
You know what I'm saying. So I want to show
y'all that I appreciate child. You know what I'm saying.
And I'm just that kind of person. And you've got
a great personality too, So thank you.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Work.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
A lot of kids want to come in here and
they're like, what's up. I ain't too cool man, I
ain't too cool man. I'm trying to be a star.
I love it, man, Let's do it one more time?
Leave right now. I go ahead and tell everybody, let's
rocky one more time. Y'all. It's your boy.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
It's a Shine with the X and this is my
song lead featuring my dog youngin n Shine.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
That's a shine with that shot.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
When Yellow t L broke up, unto my hotel, tell
her what she wanted to heir now she put it
on my.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Fill head up. I got that bad so that I
pay a bill. She wanted to do a smashed and
unless she want to chill, I can't sell. She arrogant,
go to the school that spelled man. Her friends got shelter.
Your dropped out for failing.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Why she telling me this? Why she telling me that
I tell her leave
