Words from the Wild with Willem Lange

Join Willem and the Windows to the Wild crew as they traverse the Presidential Range. Staying first in the Lakes of the Clouds Hut, Willem then teeters gingerly from boulder to boulder as he picks his way for an overnight at Madison Hut.

Take a wild dogsled ride through the deep woods of Maine. Led by Roy, Stanzi, Jackson and Ripley, Willem and his canine companions make their way into the AMC sporting camp, Medawisla.

Gaps, Passes and Notches. Hiking the rough Nineteen-Mile Brook Trail, Willem and his crew slog their way to The Carter Notch hut. Greeted by Sally the caretaker, a bunch of young kids and a spectacular view of the Ramparts, Willem shares the history of this hard to get to place.

On a cool clear August day, Willem hikes up to Lonesome Lake and give fly-fishing a whirl, with no luck. Then retreats to the AMC family hut and hunkers down for the night in a full cabin.
