The Wheel of Time, based on the beloved series of books, tells the story of a society broken by male magic users, driven mad by the One Power, and the foretold return of their leader, to either save or doom the world. Beautiful landscapes, complex political intrigue, and intense battle sequences stand out in the fight between an unlikely group of heroes and the overwhelming forces of the Shadow. Let the Dragon ride again on the Winds of Time!
Man, what a season finale! From Pennywise the Dancing Fox to the destructive force of balefire, from Nynaeve's Moana moment to the creepiest corpse I've seen, from Rand dancing on a knife's edge of egomania & madness to the end of two separate years-long relationships of Power-crossed lovers, this was a huge episode.
Join Greg and Veronica as they EXTENSIVELY talk about all things "He Who Comes With the Dawn"...
With what seems like a closeout of the Two Rivers this season, we got a pretty intense battle scene, some pretty badass weather manipulation, some sweet, sweet revenge, and a goodbye that shocked us pretty good.
Join Veronica and Greg as they delve into the episode and explore the emotional moments, badass or otherwise, in the episode.
ONE EPISODE LEFT THIS SEASON!!!
Thanks for all of the feedback, everybody! It's great to hear yo...
The Hills of Tanchico are alive!!! From the newest catchy TV show song to everyone speaking WAY LOUDER THAN THEY SHOULD, from the Forsaken being disgustingly petty to kinda of, well, easy to take out, to a heartrending scene of power and helplessness, there was a lot to talk about here! And talk we did.
Hear Veronica and Greg as they are joined by Cristin's unique perspective as they discuss why some shows deserve (or need) a ...
We knew there would be a dropoff, but this episode still had some good stuff! From MORE POWER THAN MOIRAINE EVER DREAMED to Dreamwalking, From Sea Folk to Seasickness, from a bad breakup to being a bad bitch, this episode had quite a bit to talk about.
Join Veronica and Greg as they break it down, discussing what they liked, what they didn't, what made sense, and where logic completely broke down.
Thanks for all of the feedb...
Deep breath...WHEW!!! THAT was a landmark episode. From discovering Rand's ancestors knew and remembered "the Song", to delving deep into the history and lore of the Aiel's beginnings, to watching Moiraine be brutally *spoiler deleted* over and over again, this was a wicked emotional rollercoaster.
SPOILER ALERT: We loved it!!!
Join Veronica and Greg as they dig deeper into the lore of this world than Mierin punched...
Pretty solid end to an entertaining beginning of the season! From sympathy for Liandrin (WHAAAT?!?!) to Mat embracing his fortune, from Perrin "doing what he has to" to Lan not forgetting his father battle, this episode was just as dense with payoffs and lore as the first 3 this season. Join Greg and Veronica as they break it down, answer some questions, posthumously realize their idiocy, and generally enjoy geeking out on ...
Well...THAT escalated quickly. From that brutal opening inauguration, to meeting the Andoran royal family, to Perrin's unwelcoming homecoming, to Egwene finding out she may NOT want her dreams to come true, Veronica and Greg break down this middle opening episode. We had some nitpicks, for sure, but we enjoyed it and couldn't wait to get to the last of the opening three. Hope you enjoy!
Boy, it's great to be back in this world! From the opening confrontation to what has to be the worst inn customer service, this episode really delivered on re-establishing the world and our characters place in it. In the White Tower, in the city of Tar Valon, it seems like our heroes will be going their separate ways again.
Join Greg and Veronica as they both gush and condemn the season premiere!
The Wheel of Time turns, and podcasts come and go. A podcast is released on Podcastica. It is neither the beginning or the end, but it is A beginning.
Join Greg as he recaps seasons 1 and 2 in case you didn't have time to rewatch all 16 hours of the show in preps for Season 3. And if you did, maybe give it a listen anyway. Coverage of Season 3 coming VERY SOON!!!
The end of the first season is here, and reviews are...mixed. Some great heavy acting from mainstays and favorite characters, mingled with some pretty confusing lingo and concepts led to some disagreements on the episode, but we had a great time breaking this one down. From a pretty intriguing (although subtitled) flashback to a showdown at the Eye of the World (or in Rand's mind) to a full blown massacre of Trollocs via the On...
The Dragon Reborn is finally revealed!! Ben returns with Wendy and Greg to discuss an amazing opening sequence and their take on the the penultimate episode of this season. From a battle in the Ways to the fortress of Fal Dara to the return of our favorite peddler, we break down our favorite (or less favorite) parts of this episode. While we may not agree on all aspects of the show, we are really invested in the characters and can&...
From learning the White Tower power structure and politics, to sucking the Dark out of Mat and kicking Moiraine out of the Tower, to the Aes Sedai Boss Bitch and a giant stone Portal in the middle of a random field, we got a really full episode finally developing Moiraine as a character. Greg, Wendy and WoT super-fan guest host Eric break down their favorite and notable scenes from a powerhouse group of actors absolutely killing it...
