God's ultimate and final victory.  The monsters have been destroyed and thrown in the lake of fire, the second the death. And with them go those who are not listed in the book of life, as well as death itself.  The death of death! God is the final judge, but also the Re-Creator. "Look!" All things are made new!

Faithful in the Fire.  A sermon I recently preached as a guest at another church. I had the honor of being invited to speak. Now sharing the message of Daniel 3 with the podcast audience.

Leadership. Following Jesus while leading others. We look to His role model. We follow His teachings on how to lead. We will learn from Paul in Ephesians 4 with the "Five-Fold Ministry." Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38-39 all over again. The cycle and pattern once again repeated. The dragon is now also thrown in the fire, where the beast-monster and the false prophet had been thrown. God sits in judgment. The scrolls are opened. And the scroll of life is opened.

A thousand years. One of the most hotly debated references in Christian eschatology. Lots to unpack. And also the dragon is locked away in an abyss, there's the first resurrection of the dead, and we see the eternal priesthood of God's holy ones. A jam-packed eschatological snapshot.

The bride (the church) and the groom (Jesus) are reunited. The wedding feast celebrates God's victory. The beast monster and the false prophet are thrown into the fire. God has the final triumph!

The Bride of Christ (The Church) and the marriage of the Lamb are introduced. Jesus, the one with many names, comes on to the scene. He rules with a rod of iron (Psalm 2). God is victorious over the powers!

Mystery Babylon (Rome) is destroyed. God has the ultimate victory.  And people who were in love with the world and all the world could offer through that beast will wail and weep and mourn. Their idols were destroyed. But the church remains.  God is victorious. So where does ultimate hope and purpose in life reside?!

God brings judgment on the sinful city and empire. Rome's pride is brought low. Empires come and empires go.  But our loyalty is to Jesus alone.

John continues to drop hint after hint that this is Rome. Some of the powerful elites of the world are utterly dependent on Rome. Others are rivals that betray Rome and seek Rome's demise.  Ultimately European nations will succeed in bringing down the western Roman empire. God's people are urged not to participate in the sins of Rome and to flee when judgment is coming.

"Mystery Babylon" is totally revealed!  All the clues point to Rome. Drunk with what the empire can provide, the nations and rulers are intoxicated by Rome. They do not love the Lamb of God and instead are in love with the monster beast.  Rome is simply the resurrected Babylon.  The story that keeps repeating itself.

The plagues of judgment are concluded.  "It is finished." With Armageddon and the destruction of "Babylon."  Following up on the previous episode we take a look at the cycles of "seventh."

The plagues of judgment continue. And once again we see a massive army from the east.  In this episode we also take a look at the cycles of "sixth."

God reigns. And from God's temple God decrees judgment.  Justice and vengeance are coming.  Plagues that demonstrate God's sovereignty.

The song of the Lamb.  The song of Moses.  God's victory over the beast-monster.  The Lamb is triumphant!

The contrasts are stark.  The way of the Lamb/Christ or the way of the beast/world.  Two reapings will take place.  One is a harvest for eternal life. The other is a trampling of destruction like in a wine press.
