Alan co-wrote "My Cross To Bear" with Gregg Allman plus books on the Beastie Boys, Prince, Peter Frampton and Johnny Cash. Alan was a lead writer for Rolling Stone magazine and a consutlant for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
