How’s the Bite?

The Mississippi at Guttenberg is rising from heavy rains.  Roller Dam is open to allow trash and trees to float on by.  Jamie's Landing 615 Barge is out but water is swift.

The Mississippi River at Guttenberg is great for mid April with water in the mid 50 degree range.  Fishing may take some work but we've got the information on what is biting and what may come as we get warmer spring weather.  

The river is predicted to rise slightly with recent rains.

We survived Christmas.  The ice fishing is a bit unsettled but strong ice in Guttenberg Area.  Small fish are hugging the bottom while predator bass and Northern Pike cruise looking for a meal.
