Ideologica Obscura takes the viewer on a journey into the world of wacky and esoteric political ideologies. This podcast uncovers the multitude of visions for society and the historical context they arose from. We wish to educate through a mix of rigorous research and low-brow humor because many a true word is spoken in jest. Ideologica Obscura is a comedy and education podcast and thus does not encourage or endorse any of the discussed ideologies, persons, or organizations.

We'll be talking about basic Islamic theology and philosophy and how that lead to the pre-modern "anarchist" ideology of the Mutazilite sect while Eren tries avoid burping his guts out onto the computer and Thomas does his best Bri'ish impressions. ...

On this episode, Eren and Thomas conclude the odyssey of the nerdy Jacobin campaign against Christianity. With the final Jacobin cult being the Cult of the Supreme Being, which was a product of none other than Maximilien "I am God" Robespierre. In this episode we talk about how Robespierre tried to make himself a prophet and died trying, while also going on enlightened tangents on religion, the meaning of life, and Game of Thrones.
...Today, Eren and Thomas go back in time to where ideologies began, the French Revolution. A time of political radicalism, extreme violence, and intellectuals with too much power in their hands. Especially when a couple of nerds decide to get rid of Christianity and replace it with logic and reason! This is the Cult of Reason and it only goes down hill from here.
