Speaker 1 (00:00):
The La Clippers.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
The game is ended, gather round boys, time to recap, but.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
The post game coverage is just getting started.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
The successes the failure.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Let's discuss this is Clippers locker Road breaking down today's
action with the pre and post game voice of the Clippers.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Here's Ada Moss.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Lad Christmas came early like it's twenty twenty all over again.
For the first time since December twenty fifth of twenty twenty,
the Clippers are winners in Denver. They come through with
a final score of one o nine to one oh four.
Welcome into your postgame show. I'm at a Moslin coming
(00:40):
up second half, highlight your postgame box score and more
on Clippers Talk. But first we head back to Ball
Arena with their radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Well, Carlo,
you gave me a text yesterday you said you got
a good feeling about the Clippers winning in Denver. I
gotta give you credit, my friend. I wasn't so sure,
but I was sure about Normal twenty two of his
(01:01):
thirty seven points in the fourth quarter in unbelievable performance
by a guy who said it was auditioned by subtraction
with some of the offseason moves going on. He showed
out in this one.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
He was so good at him eight for nine from
the field, four for four from three in that fourth quarter,
and they're ridiculous, as you mentioned, twenty two points, flame
thrower type stuff from Norman Powell, who we talked about
all last year being mister fourth quarter and he has
not skipped a beat this season at him. I thought
(01:33):
it was an impressive, impressive game from all parts. I mean,
if eats the Zuba's second straight twenty point game, first
time he does that in his Clipper career. But Norman Powell,
let's be honest, when the Clippers were pushed to the brinks,
when their backs were against the wall, Norman Powell was
the guy they called on late and he delivered in
the clutch shot what was it out of fifty percent
(01:54):
from three in the clutch last in the fourth quarter
last year and he goes four for four in the
fourth quarter in game two of this year.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Not a bad start for Norman pal I couldn't be
more proud of him. He just went iso against Jamal
Murray who had no business guarding him. But the Clippers
kept spamming that kept looking for the mismatch and Norman
Poule took advantage of it. And then what didn't happen
Wednesday night, James Harden knocking down clutch free throws late
(02:21):
to help steal this win. And what a great defensive
possession with Derrick Jones Junior out there, because if Ittazubas
was on the bench and they found something with Derek
Jones Junior guarding Nikola Jokic forced him into that double plump,
double clutch three pointer, couldn't get to go. Clippers won
the ball game. An amazing victory for this crew.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Yeah, you just see the versatility of somebody like Dereck
Jones Junior because of that wingspan at him at seven
to two, he can be in the face of big
guys like Nikol Jokic on the outside, able to stay
with him. I thought his defense is rebounding in this
one was huge for the Clippers. Once again, the Clippers
out rebound their opponent forty four to thirty seven. He
(03:00):
was so fun to watch Derreck Jones Junior excel on
that end once again. He's able to knock down a three.
But Adam, I think we were miss James Harden sixteen assists.
Are you kidding me? He only shoots it eleven times,
but that's because his impact passing the ball was so
so big. Denver wanted to take away Harden's offense. Well,
you can't take away the ball movement, and the Clippers
(03:21):
capitalize almost every time he moved the rock. So fun
to watch him distribute and run this offense. He is
just second to none when it comes to initiating offense.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
And Clipper Nation. Mind you, this Denver Nuggets team was
looking to bounce back. They had this one circled after
a fifteen point loss opening night at home to the
OKC thunder. You got their best shot. You got a
game where Nikolo Jokich dropped forty one on them, but
only for assists. We talked about in the pregame, We
talked about it late in the ball game. They held
(03:53):
him to being a one dimensional player. Was his greatness there, yes,
but they didn't let him get everybody else going as
well as the second leading scorer for them was Jamal Murray.
And outside of that, they just didn't have that many
contributors and guys who found a rhythm. And the Clippers
holding them to one hundred and four points total, just
flexing their defense. It really showed against a quality basketball team,
(04:17):
yet in their house in Denver, couldn't be more oppressed
by this group.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
It is such an impressive win, Adam, because I don't
think we expected this team to be looking this fluid,
this connected, this early in the season, and I think
a lot of that credit has to go to James Harden.
He said he was in the facility a month and
a half before training camp started. Jeff angunny also when
they're working on the defensive tendencies, working on their skills
on the offensive and how he's gonna run pick and
(04:41):
roll with somebody like Aviats' Zubot who finishes with twenty
four fifteen and four assists. The Clippers looked like a
team that had been playing two to three years together today,
but the impressiveness of them to connect and Joe quickly obviously,
so many positives to take away from this game. And
you got another one on tomorrow at five o'clock against
(05:02):
Golden State to try to keep it going. But a
fun one, no doubt, a gritty Clippers win. And Adam,
if there's one thing I've noticed about this Clipper team
through two games, they fight. They fight on every single
possession and anytime he got a team that is going
to fight for every single possession, that's a fun team
to root for.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
And you talked about it late in the ballgame. Who
had the white board in his hands, It was Jeff
Van Gundy to formulate that final defensive possession. There guys
were in position. They made the right call. They didn't
want to foul, they didn't want to extend the game.
They knew they could lock down on the Denver Nuggets late.
They did so. And how about Big Zoo. Congratulations to
the big man who has taken a lot of heat
(05:39):
from a faction of Clipper Nation over the years. Well,
he has been unleash. Now he's getting his big opportunity.
For the first time in his career. He has had
back to back twenty point games. He just needed the opportunity.
He finally got it. He showed what he could do
against Jokich once again. Twenty four and fifteen total. Couldn't
be happier for he and Norman Powell in this one.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Those two guys who have been fighting in klawn to
be a bigger part of this offense at him and
because of last year's group. When you think about the
four Hall of Famers, didn't really get the same opportunity
that they're getting this year. And you mentioned it, and
I thought it was really poetic. But Norman pal said,
addition by subtraction. And there were a lot of people
in the media who scratched their heads, shook their head,
didn't agree. But one a performance today thirty seven points,
(06:24):
three rebounds, seven for eleven from downtown. It might not
be this every game, but you're starting to see at him.
Norman Palell is coming out of the gates and he's
trying to get the offense going, almost like the quickstarter
for this team. He is making sure they get off
to a good start on the offensive end. We talked
about it right at the first minute of the ballgame.
You have any problem with Norman Pal's shooting five shots
in the first three minutes, Both of us said, absolutely not.
(06:46):
He needs to be aggressive for them to be successful.
He was so aggressive and quite the storm he caused
here today. Storman Norman brought the rain to ball arena.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Good start, great finish. Eight points in the first quarter,
twenty two in the fourth quarter for Norman Powell and
the Clippers. Go on to win in Denver for the
first time in almost four years with a final of
one o nine to one oh four over the Denver Nuggets.
Carlo Jimenez will see it in San Francisco tomorrow night.
No rest for the weary Clippers. Take it out of
the Golden State Warriors. This was the front end of
(07:19):
a back to back, their first back to back of
the season, and the Clippers were victorious. Great call by you,
Carlo Jmenez. Talk with you tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Talk with you, Adam. We got a game tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Let's go coming up next. Second half highlights. Clippers pull
through late against Nikolajokisch and the Denver Nuggets. They win
one O nine to one O four in Denver, and
you're listening to the Los Angeles Clippers audio network throws.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
It off the window finishes in the foul Los Angeles
Clipper Nation.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
This is your home for the LA Clippers. LA Clippers.
Take us with you on the Ihearts radio app.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Clippers win in Denver, get their first victory of the
twenty twenty four twenty twenty five campaign. They take down
the Nugget. It's Nikola Jokis one oh nine to one
oh four thanks to thirty seven from Norman Powell, A
player to watch. Welcome back into your post game show.
I'm Adam Moslin. More from Norman Powell coming up. Plus
we'll get to your postgame box score. Coming up, we'll
(08:13):
have Clippers talk on the Patriot AM eleven fifty eight
seven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight seven seven
five two zero eleven fifty is the phone number. But
right now. Second half highlights. The Clippers had an eighteen
point lead at one point in the first half, but
Danver made a big push towards the end of the
second quarter. Clippers led by just six at forty eight
(08:35):
to forty two. Then in that third quarter they scrapped.
And when I mean scrap, I'm talking about Chris Dunn smoke.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
Back to done left corner in front of his bench.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
A three yes, sir, Chris Dunn from.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
Downtown Coffee, right corner, done times the baseline with seven
to shoot, spins on sarch or right block lamp off
the window, and then Chris Doun a double bi sept flex.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Chris Dune was doing the little things out there and
getting some buckets. I was impressed by him looking for
his offense, calling for the basketball, asking for it when
he was open for a far side corner three. That's
what they need from him. Stay aggressive offensively right now,
And in that third quarter, Chris Dunn ended up coming
(09:21):
through with five points. They were big ones. As the
Clippers were reeling a little bit, the Denver Nuggets had
them on their heels. Nikola Jokich started to get it
going and the Clippers were down seventy one to seventy
heading into the fourth quarter. But in the fourth, mister
fourth quarter, the leader of the Powell Rangers last season,
(09:42):
Norman Powell, was back at it. In clutch time.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
Finds Norman Powell curling around the screen, shovels to Zoo
right back to Norm, dribbles the left and the tax
the baseline gets fouled, banks it in.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
They're gonna count it. Plus the contact.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Norman Powell was seventeen and the chance were one more
Gophers out rebound Norm into the left corner. He's a
wide open triple. Yes, Norman pal rattles it in due
wats has got it right wing over to Harden on
the left, angle back to Norm straightaway, pump fakes flies
by Gordon hen lays it up with the right hand.
Norman Powell with twenty two finds Batoom right back to
(10:17):
James down the left, Dowey right corner, Norm on three
got it. Norman Powell all cords a team high twenty
five to Batoom, swings at Norm right wing three.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Norman Pale and Fuigo Harden left angle double team swings
right corner Norm's open drives by Murray into the paint,
burrowing ready floor, got the finished. Norman pal crossing over
on Murray which ten gets to the rim, floats it
up off.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
The window and in.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Norman Pale is stuck on automatic looking for a slither
of space, throws at the coffee, finds Norm right angle
a three yees Snorman Pale, can.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
You believe it?
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Storman Norman ask for the opportunity, wanted to be in
the starting lineup. This is something he has been waiting
for since he got to the Clippers, and he got
right back to being able to do what he does best,
which is closing out ball games. After struggling on Wednesday,
going one of seven from three, he hit seven threes,
(11:21):
go seven of eleven from distance fourteen of twenty one
from the field and had twenty two of his thirty
seven points to lead everyone, or at least on the Clippers,
and to lead them to victory. One nine to one
oh four was your final storm and Norman pallin Big
Zoo come through and the Clippers win for the first
(11:42):
time in almost four years in Denver. I remember that game.
Niko Batoum came through late. I was calling him Saint Nick.
It was a different time, same result. Clippers winn in
Denver for the first time since December twenty fifth of
twenty twenty. More Clippers postgame coming up next right here
(12:03):
on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network. I love this team.
I never miss a game.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
You're listening to LA Clippers basketball free ball, Yes, sir,

Speaker 2 (12:15):

They're taking on the Golden sat Warriors tomorrow night as
they fly in victorious from Denver. As the Clippers win
one o nine to one oh four over the Denver
Nuggets and Nikola Jokis thanks to thirty seven from Norman Pale.

Tiptime tomorrow from Chase Center is at five thirty. Pregame
right back here at four thirty. Quickly final box score.
Clippers ended up shooting forty nine percent from the floor,
Denver just forty percent. Clippers go twelve of thirty three.
That's thirty six percent from the outside. Denver shot forty
percent from three and made some huge ones, but they
got the double clutch on the three pointer from Nikolajokich
(13:14):
late to miss. The Clippers would head to the charity stripe.
Norman pal sunk a couple a couple more free throws,
as he had twenty two points twenty two of his
thirty seven in the fourth quarter. Unreal performance, gritty, gutty,
all heart win by the Clippers. We'll talk about it
(13:34):

coming up on the show. We'll take you to the
bottom of the hour. We'll Updyke from CND will be here.
We'll get your phone calls and more. What a performance,
What an incredible performance by your Los Angeles Clippers late,
and what a way to turn around after a brutal,
deflating loss opening nine into a dome and execute down
(15:18):
the stretch and do what they weren't able to against
the Phoenix Suns, against Denver in their house after they
had just lost to the OKC thunder. You had their
full attention. Nikola Jokic had forty and the Clippers still
pull through as Norman Powell give them the game ball
(15:44):
and give them those starters minutes in his thirty three
he had thirty seven. He went fourteen of twenty one
from the floor, in seven of eleven from distance, and
had twenty two twenty two of his thirty seven points
in the fourth quarter. Twenty two points in a game
from him would have been nice. He had that in
the fourth quarter. Bucket after bucket, Can anybody on the
(16:09):
YouTube side at Clippers Talk tell me what Norman Powell
shot from the floor in the fourth quarter. I need
to know. Did he miss a shot? Was he perfect?
I just talked about this the other day on Clippers talk.
As poorly as he played against Phoenix, especially late, being
(16:30):
short up some shots, and I thought maybe it was
his defense hurting his offense. This is somebody who was
extremely clutched all of last season, one of the most
clutch players in the league. Shooting over fifty percent from
the floor in the fourth quarter, fifty percent from three.
The efficiency is insane. Jay in the live chat on
(16:51):
YouTube says, Powell for All Star. He's coming for it.
This is his big opportunity. This is what we've been
waiting for. What can happen if you give Norman Powell
all those minutes? He said he thought Paul George Leavin
opened up an opportunity for everyone else audition by subtraction. Well,
(17:14):
he lived up to that, saying today absolutely norm was
playing with something to prove out there and was a
sniper and won this game for the Clippers. Now nobody
does it alone, but he was matching bucket for bucket
(17:35):
with Nikola Jokic in the fourth quarter, who I want
to say had sixteen but missed that three pointer late. Ooh,
believe he had more than that. I believe Nikola Jokicic
is this right. He had twenty four heading in to
the fourth quarter. Did Jokis just have let me get
(17:59):
this straight? Seventeen in the fourth Katie Newton's telling me
nor miss one layup in one free throw in the
fourth quarter. She just checked the game log for me.
Thank you, producer, Katie Kay Newton here doing work. If
you want to see her station, I'll flip the computer around.
If you're watching on the YouTube live side. If you're
listening to us on the Patriot A eleven fifty and
(18:21):
get to us at eight seven seven five two zero
eleven fifty. If you enjoy watching, check it out on
the YouTube side. What Katie didn't mean to say it
like that. Yeah, Russell Westbrook took a bad three late.
I'm telling you though, It's not as if the Denver
(18:45):
Nuggets played poorly. The Clippers were just better. They out
executed them. Denver scored thirty three in the fourth quarter,
but the Clippers got that final stop and we talked
about it during the broadcast. They were switching the pick
and roll with Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, with Jokic
and Derek Jones Junior playing the role of Kawhi Leonard
(19:08):
typically late in the ball game like that, and they saw,
I don't know if it was Jef van Gundy or
coach Luke Is JVG was drawn up a play on
the whiteboard late in the ball game to get that
final stop. They saw the effectiveness of Derrick Jones Jr.
(19:28):
On Nikola Jokic and they wrote it out with more
switchability by taking a beats Zubas out of the game late.
It worked. Brilliant, brilliant coaching. And that just shows you
if Derek Jones Junior can guard Jokic some I think
(19:54):
he can play the four guys. Does that mean when
Kawhi comes back you can get him to the three
off you want? Just wondering people are talking about Jef
van Gundy for MVP. Frankie Boy nine says that others
are talking about Norman Powell and him going eight of
(20:16):
nine from the field in the fourth quarters. Katie pointed out,
you missed one shot. Lee Vibin had it eight for nine. Ridiculous.
Now can you get me what Yokid shot and what
his points total was in the fourth I believe it
was seventeen because he had twenty four ended up with
forty one by the end of the game, twenty four
points heading in to the fourth. Not only were the
(20:38):
Clippers down by one heading into the fourth quarter, they
got down by I believe for late. We'll hear from
Norman Powell coming up. By the way, we got postgame
audio for you. Let's get to the phones. Man Todd
and East Tustin. You're on Clippers stuff without a Muslim.
(20:59):
What's the Todd?
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 7 (21:04):
Adam?
Speaker 6 (21:04):
I'm in Houston, Texas. I'm in Houston, Texas. What's going on?
Speaker 2 (21:08):
No words? What did you think of the ball game?
Speaker 6 (21:10):
I love the game. I loved the game. I love
how they played. I watched it on my phone.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
At the job, everything's bigger in Texas, including Clippers wins.
Is that right?
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yes? Indeed, yes, I'm a retire so I moved out here.
But I just want to say that I enjoyed the
game tremendously and the only negative thing I have to
say is that T Man and our six man KPJ
between them only gave us four points. You can't really
take t Man out to put in to put in
(21:44):
KPg because he's not giving us anything. I think it's
trying to put in Jordan Miller, give him a little
little playing time to see what he does, because we're
not getting nothing from t Man.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Hey, have you been listening to me, Todd? I've wonted
Jordan Millerson's game one, like I think he should play.
But it is a very difficult decision to make. First
of all, who you take out? Are you really going
to bench a guy that you brought in that's on
a two year contract after two games in KPJ who
was averaged nineteen points per game, granted for a bad
team in the league before. Yeah, he didn't play at
(22:17):
all last season. He may be suspended soon. That could happen.
Who knows. I don't have any intel on that, but
it's hard to pull the trigger on benching guys early
in the season for young players. And then if the
young guy struggles in Jordan Miller, I don't think he will,
but if he does, then that kills his confidence and
(22:38):
then you gotta go back to the vet and be like, oh,
my mistake, please buy in play for me. Still, that's
kind of the conundrum that you're in as a head
coach in this situation.
Speaker 6 (22:51):
Yeah, I get what you're saying, but if you look
how he's playing KPJ. He's just looking to shoot. He
threw a bad passed it to the paint the zoo
to throw it over his head out of bounds. I
don't think he's really looking the pass or do anything.
I think he's looking to score and.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
He's well, I'll say this, he's missing shots that he
typically makes. He is a tough shot taker and maker. Now,
he did have a beautiful kickout to a mere coffee
in the near side corner who wasn't able to get
it to go. He did have a couple of nice passes,
but he is shot hunting a little bit too much
(23:29):
for my liking. Even though when you're out there in
that first lineup that he was in and they actually
went plus twelve initially and they increased the lead from seven,
I want to say, to fourteen before the starters came
in got it up to eighteen. In the first half.
KPJ had some moments there where he had that big
(23:49):
dunk on Nikola Jokic in transition that led to a
timeout where Yokicic won no part of it. I see
what you're saying, Todd, and I appreciate the phone call.
I think it is a smart one, so callback I
gotta take a quick time out. Clippers win big, big
victory in Denver, one O nine to one oh four.
Not everything was perfect, It's not gonna be. But you
(24:12):
gotta be at your best when your best is required.
And the Clippers were late. They were down by four
with under five minutes left in the lines. Then in
Denver with Jokic and Jamal Murray out there and they
found away play through Norman Powell. When a guy is
that hot, match up hunt and let him cook Jamal Murray.
(24:35):
That's what you saw. Clippers win by five in Denver,
their first victory of the season. Tomorrow they're in San Francisco.
Take it on Golden State. More on that will Updikel
joined the show. Next. You're listening to the Los Angeles
Clippers Audio Network in the Patriot AMLM fifty throws it up.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
The wind now finishes in the foul Los Angeles Slipper Nation.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
This is your home for the LA Clippers. LA Clippers.
Take us with you on the Ihearts Radio AP.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Clippers win one O nine to one O four in
Denver over the Nuggets. Even with Nikola Jokis going for
a career high seven made three pointers even with him
dropping forty one. But Norman Powell. Norman Powell had twenty
two of his thirty seven points in the fourth quarter
(25:21):
and the Clippers come through with their first victory of
the season. Join the show now you hear the music,
you know it from Clips and Dip. We got will
Updyke joining me here on the Patriot AM eleven fifty
and on the YouTube live side at Clippers talk, Well,
how are you feeling after this one? Is it still
our year?
Speaker 8 (25:40):
It is definitely our year? Man? How could it not be?
How could it not be? With the win like that?
You got Jokic with a career high and three pointers
and the Clippers are still taking it home. How about
Norm Powell? James Hard and this thing is looking good?
And this is just the beginning. We talked about it
a little bit on Clips and Dip the stream with Charles,
but you gotta love the improvement from the from the
(26:05):
late game execution from Game one to game two. I
thought it was a night and day different. And like
we talked about, the Clippers team does not have margins
to operate on. They need to be building upon these
things every single game and we saw that, and we
saw that in Game two. I mean, they can't ask
for much more.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Now. I don't know if norm can drop thirty seven
and twenty two in the fourth every game, but I
know he can look for a shot more. I know
he can stay confident, and I know he was one
of the best fourth quarter shooters all of last season,
not just on the Clippers but in the league. He
has been clutched for this team, so I'm not overly
surprised he's had a twenty point fourth quarter for the
(26:41):
Clippers before. I think he's had an eighteen point quarter
with them in the final period before too. This is
what he does. I'm just happy for him right now.
He and Big Zoo. Big Zoo especially, who has been
at times derided by a faction of Clipper Nation, and
he just had his first two games straight with twenty
plus points, and he was also doing work against Jokic.
(27:04):
I mean, that's how you wear a guy out a
little bit, that's what you do. I know Jokic still
had forty one, but Zoo was a president.
Speaker 8 (27:11):
He's gonna do though like that. That's what That's what
he's absolutely gonna do. So I actually you know, I
love Norm Powell, the big Norm Powell supporter. I got
to eat a little crow. I had some I had
some skepticism about him in the starting lineup, mainly due
to some of the defensive concerns. We've seen a renewed
effort from him on that and at the same like
(27:31):
at the same time, he's able to get it done
on both ends of the floor. We'll see how the
conditioning kind of carries out through the rest of the season,
but it did not seem to be a problem at
all today.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Aviza Zubotch ended up finishing with twenty four and fifteen
to Nikola Jokicic's twenty six shots to get forty one
points but just nine boards, and the Clippers once again
out rebound of their opponent forty four to thirty seven,
eleven to ten on the offensive rebounds, even though Denver
had a couple backbreaking ones. At least I thought at
(28:03):
one point in the fourth quarter where they got some
easy put backs, including Jokics, where the Clippers just didn't
you know, box out. There's gonna be mistakes, it's not
gonna be perfect. We thought their margin for error was
so small they probably couldn't win a game like this
with Jokics going for forty one, but a big Zoo
is all of a sudden not getting fifteen and ten
every night, Like we said, he has to get bare minimum.
(28:24):
What if he's at eighteen eleven. What if he does
that for the season, Because right now I'm telling you people,
I think he's a top twenty center. No, no, no, no, no,
this guy looks to be a top ten center if
he can play more like this.
Speaker 8 (28:38):
Yeah, yeah, I think the top ten potential is there.
I mean, I know that you've been skeptical of Zoo's
his conditioning, his cardio. Can he actually keep this up?
A lot of doubts from Adam Oslin over there, But no,
I think this is great. I think that he has
the potential and not only have his first back to
that twenty or but going going against Golden State, I
(29:00):
think he could do three in a row. I think
he could do three in a row. I don't think
it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Yeah, he's often the biggest guy out there on the floor.
This has been a long time coming. I've been saying
it forever. While I have brought up the only reason
that maybe you can make the argument he shouldn't get
thirty minutes or more is because of his cardio in
the past it seems to dip, but also of Vista Zoobots,
like at seventy percent is still better than your backup option,
(29:24):
and he ended up playing thirty nine minutes in this one.
Basically they matched whenever Nikola Jokic was out there, Big
Zoo was out there. But this is what happens when
a guy who's put in the work finally gets his opportunity. Now,
there were some negatives from people, of course in the
comments section, already crying that, you know, Terrence Man should
be taken out of the starting lineup. I think it's
(29:46):
far too soon for that.
Speaker 8 (29:47):
Two games. It's been two games, you guys, and everything
else is going so well. In the starting lineup. DJJ
looks like a great fix. He had some huge plays.
We've already talked about Avista' zoobots, We Powell, James Harden
is a given in the starting lineup. So one piece
has you know, had a couple of has had a
rough couple of games. I just think even with the
(30:08):
margins being as narrow as they are, I just I
still think for me it's way too early to make
that rash of a decision on Terrence Mann. We know
historically what he does in this starting laneup, we know
historically what his flaws are, and yes, we have seen
those flaws. We have seen some bad habits so far.
The hesitancy to shoot, the lack of aggression. It yeah,
(30:30):
it reareds ugly head today. But I'm just not ready.
I'm not ready to I'm not there after two games.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Personally, I'm not there with this common As much as
we just praised the beatsa zubats, only a d is
a better two way player than big Zoos said MEO, uh,
there's this.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Guy name Let's go.
Speaker 8 (30:45):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Look, there is a guy out there named Joel Embiid.
I know he's not able to play right now, but
he's an MVP. I think he's a better two way
player as a big All right, I gotta go because
I gotta get out at the end of the hour
and we still have like two commercial breaks left. I'm sorry, Will,
I love you. I know we'll have a Clips and
Dip soon.
Speaker 8 (31:03):
Yes, absolutely, thanks for having me on. Let's go.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Clip Clippers win in Denver one oh nine to one
oh four more Clippers Stock coming up here on the
Patriot abeleven fifty.
Speaker 8 (31:15):
I love this team.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
I never miss a game.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
You're listening to LA Clippers Basketball free ball, Yes, sir,
right here on the La Clippers Audio Network.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Back to Beck, Back to Beck. Clippers in San Francisco
tomorrow taking on the Golden State Warriors, riding high airplane mode,
big defensive stop late against Nikola Jokicic, he missed the
three pointer. normOn Powell hit the three point, hit the
(31:46):
free throws, and everything else basically in the fourth quarters.
He went eight for nine, with twenty two of his
thirty seven points in the final period, and the Clippers
would win in Denver one o nine to one oh four.
Let's hear from Norm Powell postgame, clear.
Speaker 7 (32:00):
Stock, Norman Powell, the first regular season win for this
team tonight comes in dramatic fashion. You're thirty seven points
mark a regular season career high for you with the Clippers.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
How good did that one feel? Down the stretch?
Speaker 9 (32:12):
Well, good man, I think all of us, you know,
not just myself. Everybody tied in offensively, defensively, following the
game plan, executing at a high level, talking, communicating, and
getting the stops and we needed it. We needed this
when we wanted to get it, and we got it.
Speaker 7 (32:24):
James Harden a distribution wizard, sixteen assists tonight alone. What's
it like to share the floor with him?
Speaker 9 (32:30):
It's amazing, man. He sees passes, he sees plays ahead
of ahead of them happening, you know. So it's all
about finding an opening, finding a space for him against
the ball. We were able to do that tonight. Make sures.
He made it easy for all of us tonight. So
you props to him is what he does, and we're
gonna need.
Speaker 8 (32:43):
More out of him.
Speaker 7 (32:44):
Two games and two opportunities to demonstrate late game execution
this early in the season kind of rare.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
What can you take.
Speaker 7 (32:50):
From these first two games into the road ahead?
Speaker 9 (32:53):
Continuing to bill, continue to stay together, no matter what
the ups and downs is, no matter what the run is,
being tied in, not getting discouraged, staying after it. I'm
composed and I'm fighting, scratching the claw and to get
the win. And that's what we did.
Speaker 7 (33:03):
Norman Powell, congratulations, thanks so much.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Norman Palell post came there. We'll take a quick time out,
we'll come back we'll wrap things up. Clippers win one
o nine to one oh four in Denver over the Nuggets.
What a performance, thirty seven on seven of eleven, shooting
from three and just roasted Jamal Murray who was trying
to guard him in the fourth quarter. As the narrator
(33:29):
would say, he could not more. Clippers start coming up
next right here on the Patriot Amlem fifty throws.
Speaker 5 (33:36):

Clippers went in Denver one O nine to one o four.
They get thirty seven from storm and Norman Palell big
Zoo comes through. He had twenty four and fifteen. And
how about James Harden clutch free rose late knocked him
down this time. James Harden had seven assists in the
first quarter. Guys, the most assists he's ever had in
(34:07):
a quarter is nine. He almost tied his career high.
He finished with twenty three and sixteen assists. Also had
six boards contributing there always and the Clippers won the
Battle of the Boards once again by seven. Clippers win
the ballgame. They will be in San Francisco tomorrow. Tip
