Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, Morning Breeze on Demand, Human League with
Human it is six oh six, Good Morning. It is
The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's April third,
twenty twenty five. Happy Thursday, Happy Thursday. I found out yesterday.
I'm very excited about this Court that next week on

(00:21):
one of my favorite shows, we're talking Wheel of Fortune.
I watch it every night with Ryan Seacrest and VANAWAYI.
Who doesn't love Will of Fortune. I love that show.
It's gonna be iHeart Radio Week on Wheel of Fortune.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, this is pretty exciting. I guess it's like a
tournament style week where I guess if you win, you
keep moving on to different rounds. Yes, but because it's
iHeart iHeart Radio Week, there's gonna be extra special stuff happening.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah. We're gonna have musical guests that will be playing
alongside the contestants. That's pretty cool. I know. And notice
I say we because we are owned by iHeart Radio.
Here's a breeze, and we are so excited to see
who ends up playing alongside these contestants. I think it's
going to be so fun. You know the power of
Ryan Seacrest, right, Sure, Jane. Ryan Seacrest works here at

(01:11):
iHeart Radio and now of course he is doing a
Wheel of Fortune with Vanna, and so it makes sense
that we're doing an iHeartRadio week.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, I guess as a viewer, you're also going to
have a chance to win some stuff at home, which
include incredible trips to exclusive iHeart Radio events. We're talking
like the iHeart Music Festival and the iHeart Music Awards,
so you'll be able to attend those shows we're always
talking about.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I heard this morning. This just came out this morning
that apparently there is a trip to Las Vegas to
see Janet Jackson in concert in the works, and so
that will be just one of, like Court said, many
prizes that you can win. So all you have to
do watch Wheel of Fortune all next week for your
chance to win. Plus it's just going to be darn
entertaining anyway, Sure we will be watching alongside with you.

(01:53):
It is six oh eight and this morning on the show,
as we've been doing every morning this week, we've got
more chances for you to go see Boz Skags Mountain
Winery October twenty eighth, So be here at seven thirty
five for your chance to win.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
And then again at eight twenty another chance to win
those tickets to see air Supply also at the Mountain Winery.
That show happening August twenty second.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
And we've got the Morning Breeze brain Teas as we
always do. That's coming up at six twenty five.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
All right, So, a recent study found that children who
ate two servings of this every week showed better social behavior.
We're talking about them being more helpful, they were more sharing,
they're more considerate towards their peers.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
And it's something they that they eat.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Two servings of this every week leads to better social
behavior occruting, according to a recent study.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Can't wait for this eight seven seven nine, eight one
oh nine eight one. I think these guesses are going
to be so random, and this is what makes the
brain teas really fun. You can always send us a
message with our iHeartRadio app. Use that talk back Mike,
Morning Breeze Brain Teas. That's at six twenty five. Here
on the Breeze Birthrees. Six twenty four is the time

(02:58):
with Toto. Here on nine eight point one the Breeze.
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and let's
challenge that brain a little bit with the Morning Breeze
brain Tees sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're in clean
hands with Mike Counsel Plumbing. Visit them at mc plumbing
dot com. This is a good one. I really really
like today's brain tease. I do too.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
A recent study found that children who ate two servings
of this each week showed better social behavior.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
All right, eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
That's how you reach us. Liz in Sonoma, you're at first.
What do you think ice cream? Because I think ice
cream makes everybody have That's a great answer. Here's the
answer we were looking for. I mean, is it the
right answer. It's not the right answer, but it's answer.

(03:44):
What's what's your go to ice cream flavor? WHOA? That
was quick man, Liz Court you mint chocolate chip. I
would go vanilla with a caramel ribbon. Okay, I'm writing
this down. I love Carl. Well, all right, enjoy your day.
Thank you so much. I love listening to you guys

(04:05):
who listen to every day on my way to work.
Thank you. Have a good day. Bye. Good morning. Alfonso
in San Jose. What do you think the answer is?
This morning? I'm gonna have to say the vegetables vegetables.
I don't know, vegetable.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I mean, we're always telling our kids to eat your vegetables.
Maybe the reason behind it is it leads to better
social behavior.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I think it's really good. Guess vegetables are just good
for you in general. I think this that should be
like a given with this answer.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Right right, yes, I bet you most people would say
you should be eating multiple servings of vegetables every single day. Okay,
this is just twice week. I love the answer, but
not the correct one.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Oh okay, here's the correct answer. Recent study found that
children who eat two servings of seafood every week show
better social behavior. Seafood seafood? Oh wow, the shocker. Yeah, Alfonso,
did you eat seafood as kid? No, I'm allergic to kifood. Actually,
oh great, court, nice message we're putting out.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
And let me ask you this, Alfonso, how were you
in school? Were you a well behaved little boy?

Speaker 1 (05:09):
He has an allergy? I was asking that, actually was yes,
Actually I was okay to I got it too high school?
And then you know, all right, all right, family show.
That's so interesting because kids in seafood usually don't go
hand in hand. Yeah, no, they don't. They really don't
strict this because there's a lot of kids with seafood

(05:31):
allergies like Alfonso shellfish. Yeah, listen to The Morning Breeze,
but consult with a doctor before playing Morning Breeze Brain Tease.
All right, we disclaimed this. I could go for that
shrip right now, though I know it does sound good
offcorn shrimp. No, poor Alfonso would get no trip, no trip.
All right, thank you for playing. Have a good day, Alfonso,
Thanks for having me. That was great. The Morning Breeze

(05:51):
brain teas. We do it every weekday morning here at
six twenty five.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And coming up this morning at six point forty, it's
once again time for ask us anything, and I believe
this time it's coming from a talkback.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
This is a talkback for you specifically. Okay, so we
will get to that. Ask us anything coming up six
forty on the Breeze. They are the police. It is
six forty two. Good morning. It is the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. Every weekday morning at this time
we play at well, we don't really play. We do
ask us anything. And this is when you write in

(06:23):
and ask us a question about literally anything. It could
be something that you email us. It could be you
call us at eight seven seven nine eight one nine
eight one, or you could send us a talkback. As
a matter of fact, today's ask us, as we mentioned
a couple of minutes ago, comes from a talkback directed
at you, Court, Court, I wanted to ask you a
quick question. You had asked for suggestions for Sloan's campaign?

(06:49):
Which one did she finally pick? I never heard? Let
me know. All right, have a good day, guys. Bye.
I love this question. I remember when we talked about this.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
So if you if you weren't listening that day, my
youngest daughter, Sloan, she's a junior in high school and
has decided to run for senior class president, and so
so we were talking as a family because we loved
we love these things. Yeah, what type of campaign slogan
should she use? And we came up with a bunch.
One was steady Sloan and steady when the when's the race?

(07:21):
It's so cute, go with the floone vote for Sloan.
My favorite was this game on vote Johnson, which is
kind of a stretch. But then we got a bunch
of great suggestions from listeners. Yes, one was don't postpone
vote for Sloan. Yeah, Alyssa wrote in or called in
and said, don't say what this, don't do it on

(07:43):
your own vote for Slow.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I remember that one. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
And then there was also don't be a drone vote
for Slow. Love it all great? So right now we
have three finalists. Okay, Sloan and Steady wins the race. Okay,
go with the floone vote for Sloan, and then Alyssa said,
gestion is in the top three. Really, don't do it
on your own vote for Sloan.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Oh that's so cute. I love it. When is she running?
I feel like this has been going on for a year.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
It's we had they had to get through spring break,
so I think it's going to be ramping up here
in the next couple of weeks and then I think
they do like a month worth of campaigning.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
The timing on this is perfect because we could get
some late entries in here. Sure people are listening, and
you've got a slogan that you think would be great
for Sloan, like let us know because the Johnson household
can enter it into this, you know, Hodgepodge of ideas.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I've even I've I've looked up buying little buttons so
she could take buttons to school.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
And hand them out. That's super.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
I'm not sure if she's gonna allow me to do
that because she gets kind of embarrassed about my excitement
in this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
You don't want to waste all your money and just
have the bag of buttons sitting in her bedroom that's
the rest for life. I feel like you would pass
more of them out to probably bring them here. Bring
them here. Yeah, you're not eligible to vote, but I'll
hand them out. We would love to hear see your suggestions.
If you've got a slogan that you think would help
Court's family eight seven seven and help Sloan specifically eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. Continue

(09:07):
to send us your talkbacks with your suggestions there as well.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Want to remind you that coming up this morning, it's
seven thirty five one skin more chances to win tickets
to see Boz Skags as he comes to the Mountain
Winery October twenty eighth.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
It's going to be a great show in a beautiful venue,
so yes, be here at seven thirty five for your
chance to win on the Breeze. It's seven oh eight.
That is Selena on the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Corn.
It is time for the Brighter Side. Give us a call.
Let us know what's happening in your life that's good,
something you're excited about. Maybe you're celebrating something. Yeah, whatever

(09:41):
the case may be, we want to hear from you.
Brighter Side sponsored by Shreeven Company, Luxury time pieces, find
designers flawless diamonds and our number is eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Today's Brighter Side is definitely the story of somebody who
is celebrating now because Taib Sunami.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I think I'm saying his name correctly. It sounds great. Court.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, it doesn't really matter because this guy is a millionaire.
He's a New Jersey man who was told to go
to the grocery store and return some orange juice that
he had purchased that his wife didn't want because they
had paid too much.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
So they paid. Didn't they pay like two dollars?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
No?

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah, it was like they ended up paying five dollars
and it was supposed to have been on sale. Yes,
and his wife said that's too much. Take it back.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Oh my gosh, so poor guy. You know, the whole
drive to the store. He was so mad that he
had to go return this orange juice.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
So he goes to the grocery store, returns it. But
with that five dollars, what does he do? He buys
two lottery tickets.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah, so he's driving back home from what I understand,
from the store, with these lottery tickets, he stops in
into seven eleven just to check and see if they won.
The first ticket not a winner, the second ticket.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
One wise, I see two dollars. Four dollars that they
I see must be seen by the retailer. Please, can
you check? I think your machine is not working. And
by the time she scanned it and she say, oh
my god, And I say what do you mean by
oh my god? She say to me big. I say big?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
What big?

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Houp? She say to me, very big. It's like you
know when you see Tommy and Jitdy cartoon, the heart
go boom boom, boom boom.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
That's my favorite part, the tom and Jerry cartoon reference.
It's such a great visual. It's such a great visual.
You can picture the heart going boom boom boom on
the Tom and Jerry cartoon.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Can you imagine three hundred and fifteen million dollars is
what he won.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
So at that point does he go home and say
to his wife, I know I was mad at you
when I left the house that I had to go
return this stupid orange juice, But I have to tell
you I'm sorry because we just won three hundred and
fifteen million dollars.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
If that were the case, I would go accidentally buy
the wrong stuff all the time. If that's your luck.
If that's what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
To you, right, and what's going to happen next time
that his wife's like, take this back to the store. Well,
with three hundred and fifteen million dollars, you have somebody
else go pick it up. That's a good point, court man.
Congratulation to congratulations to them. That is quite a story.
If you have a brighter side for us eight seven
seven nine eight one, nine eight one, you can always
send us your brighter side. We've got some brighter sides

(12:18):
that come in on our talkback right on our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
So continue to do that as well, and coming up
this morning at seven twenty five. The way you respond
in texts is an indicator of a personality trait.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yes, if you are somebody who texts a lot, or
you know someone that does, you don't want to miss this.
We'll talk about it. It's seven twenty five on the
Breeze the Eagles at seven twenty five. Good morning. It
is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. I want
to paint a bit of a picture of some things
that may happen outside of the show, and how my

(12:51):
relationship with Court is off the air. Okay, let's use
yesterday as an example. A right, forty seven pm. I
text Court a photo. You did no response. Eight sixteen pm.
I send Court another photo. This is all true. I'm

(13:15):
looking at it right now. No response. Well, first of all,
for the for the eight sixty eight eighteen, I knew
this was coming eight eighteen. You were in our times.
I was in bed, alrighty okay? Were you in bed
at five forty seven pm? Uh? No? Okay? Now when
you text me you reply almost instantly. Thank you. Now.

(13:38):
I bring this up because there was a very insightful
study that just came out about people that respond quickly
to texts versus the courts of the world. Sure, yes, okay,
if you will. According to the study out of Princeton,
people who reply to texts quickly are perceived as more
caring and emotionally available. So for you fast respond I

(14:00):
applaud you. We are caring and we are available.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
No emotional no, no, no, no, you are You are perceived
to be those things you are perceived for. The perception
is that you are more caring.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Slow responders are often seen as distant or positionally are
emotionally unavailable.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Now see that, it's the perception. I have this conversation
with my wife all the time because my wife, in
a lot of ways is very much like you, Carolyn.
We've talked about this, for sure, and she feels awesome.
She feels the need to respond to texts and emails
to clients, friends, whomever, instantly oftentimes, and I have to

(14:42):
tell her, I'm like, you don't need to reply like
you've got You've got other things going on in your life.
Are you texting somebody right now?

Speaker 1 (14:48):
No, I'm looking. You may want to let your wife know. Saturday,
February eighth, at three twenty five, I sent her a
text and no response. That theory is blown.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Well, it's because she's taken my advice clearly, and I
just like the unimportant people in your life don't need a.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Text to reply right away. No, that's not what I said. Well,
that's that's not what I said. But I have said
to her.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I said, if if you replied too quickly, then they
expected And what kind of a life are you living
if you feel the need to have to reply to
people that interesting?

Speaker 1 (15:21):
I feel like it's a respect thing. If you text me,
I'm going to write you back anyway. The point of
this is people who reply to text quickly are perceived
as more caring and emotionally, while slow responders are off
and distant or moost. Not that they really are, it's
just that they are perceived that way. Okay, we have
this question on our Facebook page at ninety eight one
of the Breeze. We invite you to join in on
that conversation. I would say, when we're asking people, are

(15:43):
you slow to respond or do you respond right away?
We're about fifty to fifty. Yeah, it looks that way,
So join that conversation on our Facebook page. You can
call us to eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one. I wonder how bosgags is with texts,
I bet you he's great. I think he wouldn't make
me wait from February. Yeah, but he's coming to town
October twenty eighth, Mountain Winery.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
That's right, and we've got tickets to give away. So
seven thirty five, just minutes from right now your next
chance to win those tickets here on the Morning Breathe.
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. Congratulations to you.
You've just got yourself a pair of Boskags concert tickets.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Yay, thank you. It was a very controlled yay. I
know there. It was pretty great. I feel like you
kind of woke up today and knew you were going
to win. Yeah, I just had a feeling. All right,
very nice. Who are you and where are you calling from?
This is San Ramon. All right, Sandra. We've got a
pair of tickets for you to go see Boskags at
the Mountain Winery October twenty eighth, courtesy of Golden Voice.

(16:40):
Tickets on sale now at Mountainwinery dot com. Good job,
thanks so much. That's so great, And another chance to
win tomorrow morning, same time, seven thirty five Bosgags tickets
on the Breeze. So Court, I have this unbelievable find
that I want to share with you and everybody else.
We actually shared this yesterday on our Facebook page and

(17:01):
so many people are like, this is so cool to
find out about this. You know, when you've got old
tennis shoes, yes, collecting in your garage or your closet,
and you need to get rid of them, but you
don't want to throw them away, but they're too old
to donate, right, and they just stack up.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I don't like for some reason when it comes to
like donating to like the Goodwill or wherever. I don't
like to do shoes same even newer ones. And I
probably should get over that.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
But newer ones A solution for newer ones are okay,
but yeah, if they're if they're pretty used, or if
they're newish. There is this company that I found that
I wanted to share. They're called got Sneakers. Gotsneakers dot
Com is the website and I recently use them, and
I bring it up because I've used them successfully and
that's why I want to share this. So what you

(17:51):
do is you go online, you create an account on
their website, and they send you a bag that you
just put all your shoes into the postages pay already.
All you have to do is load it up, take
it to your local like FedEx whoever, Like mine was
a postal annex and they do FedEx shipping. Yeah, you
drop it off and they send it back. Got Sneakers

(18:13):
gets your package full of shoes and they pay you
for some of the shoes. If your shoes are in
good enough shape, they'll pay them or they'll pay you
for them. But what they do is they recycle them.
So I just think, like, this is a fantastic organization,
and I think a lot of us are in the
same boat where we have these shoes laying around. You're like,
what do I do? So I have found this and

(18:34):
wanted to share it with people listening because based on
the reaction yesterday on our social media, people are very
interested in this. Make a few bucks just for getting
rid of those shoes that you're not wearing anymore and
you don't know what to do with. Yeah. And when
I went back out into my garage after loading up
the bag full of shoes, I think I sent them
like fifteen pair or something. It was so nice to
not have that clutter in my garage anymore. They literally

(18:54):
been sitting there forever. So so what's the website again?
It is gotsneakers dot com. And I've got a video
kind of showing you if you want to see my
old shoes, but showing you the process. I kind of
documented it, and that is on our Facebook page and
our Instagram at ninety eight one of the Breeze.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Nice it's a little step by step tutorial of how
easy it is to do exactly.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
So check that out. And as Court mentioned, yes, Air
Supply Mountain Winery they're going to be there in August,
and so will you if you're the right caller. Your
chance to win tickets coming up eight twenty on the Breeze.
It's Carolyn and Cord here around the morning Breeze. Congratulations
your collar ten and that means, of course you are
going to see air Supply. Oh thank you.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
This is great. Yay.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Who are you, b b Where you listening to us?
You sound very busy right now. You're a busy bee.
You see what I did. I'm sure she's never heard
that before. She's laughing like she's never heard it before.
All right, but the jokes can go on. The days
go ahead. Let Court tell you what be.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
What we have for you, or two tickets to see
air supply at the Mountain Winery on August twenty second.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
You're not busy on August twenty second?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Are you at the winery?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
I will be nice answer.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
It's all courtesy of Golden Voice. Tickets on sale now
at Mountainwinery dot com.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Good job, bet Oh, thank you, thank you so much.
You're all welcome, and another chance to win tomorrow morning,
