That is Sophie B. Hawkins six oh six, Good morning,
It is The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's
March nineteenth, twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Carolyn. If this is any indication of how today is
gonna go? What happened? I struggled to spell the word
ci this morning. I was writing down the word sigh.
I couldn't remember how to spell it. So what I
typically do when I can't remember how to spell word
is I go to Google me too to learn how
to spell word. But if you don't how to spell word,
how do you ask Google how to spell it? That's

(00:43):
actually really funny. And I sat there. I just stared
at my computer for probably a good five minutes.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I'm like, s what did you think? How were you
trying to spell it?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I like, I think I've started to think is it
one of those words that starts with a psy?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Way off?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
My brain was not working correctly because you know psychology,
psychic sigh.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Makes sense, it is not. It's s I g h. Yes, yes,
I should have just asked you, Well, no, I wasn't here.
Didn't want to embarrass myself. And it's okay. But I
have lost count of how many times I've done that
where you go to Google and you type in the
first couple of letters and you're thinking, please populate, please populate.
Just read my mind, Google. This is the one time

(01:29):
I want you to just get into my brain, get
ahead of know what I'm thinking. Oh, that's funny. Well,
I'm here now, and anything you need, I am your dictionarysaurus,
good to whatever you need.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Court, We got you. I hadn't had any coffee at
that point, so I'm half a cup in. I think
I'm better now.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
You're firing on all cylinders.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Your fingers crossed.

Speaker 2 (01:49):

polled said it's weird to have a picture of this
on your phone's lock screen.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Weird to have a picture of this.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, this would be weird if you had this as
your phone's lock screen picture.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Okay, eight seven, seven, nine, eight one oh nine eight one.
We've got the brain teas coming up six twenty five.
I can't believe I'll spotless man for Louise. It's six

have a picture of this on your phone's lock screen.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Okay. Our first guest this morning comes from our iHeartRadio app,
It's Talkback.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Hey, It's Jenna from Walnut Creek and I think the
answer to today's brain tease is your mother or father
in law one of your in laws love listening to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I don't know what would possess somebody to have their
in laws unless.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
They like, love, absolutely adore them.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And they've become like parents to you. Sure, I guess maybe,
but I feel like there would be other choices, better choices,
more than that is a weird.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
It would be weird. I love my in laws, but
it would be very strange for me to have a
picture of them on my lock screen.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I was thinking about my ex in laws, who I adore.
I don't think I could do it, especially it'd be
so weird, an extra extra weird.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
It would be.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
So if it was the AX. Yeah, thanks for your guests, Jane,
we appreciate it. Margana in San Francisco, Good morning. You've
got a guess.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
I think it would be super odd to have a
photo of yourself as your wallpaper or your background on
your phone.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Go ahead, Corey, Wow, you got it right.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
So cool.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
So how did you come to that conclusion? Have you
seen other people that do that? Or Heaven forbid to
you do that?

Speaker 5 (04:04):
You know, I have not been the type of person
who put myself as my own screenshot as my wallpaper,
But I have no idea. I just kind of thought,
what would I react to if I saw something on
my friend's phone.

Speaker 6 (04:14):
What would I think is weird?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yes, that would be super weird.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
And what a good guess on that?

Speaker 7 (04:19):
Just you is just a little odd.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Maybe you love yourself a lot positive affirmations?

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Right?

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Well in that.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Direction, I'm with you guys on the lock screen. I'm
in the sixty eight percent. That would be very bizarre
to see. Good job, Thank you.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
I hope you all have a good morning.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
You too.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Thank you for listening. We appreciate it and have a
great day.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I'm Marganna right.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Always love it when people get it right.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I know I had a feeling when we first gave
those stone out this morning. Yeah, when you first asked this,
I thought people would get this one so well.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
And when it's a sixty eight percent of people pulled
saying the same thing, sure chances.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Are no, but that was fun. All great morning. Breeze
brain teas every weekday morning we play at six twenty five.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Coming up this morning at six forty, it's your chance
to ask us anything. And I'm loving today's question me too.
It's something I'm really passionate about.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I know you are, and I am too about my
answer to this question. Okay, this one coming from Jordan
and Pataluma, so we will hear from Jordan. Come out
up at six forty and ask us anything on the Breeze.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Music from Ben e King here on ninety eight point one.
The Breeze. It's the morning Breeze with Carolyn in court
at six forty, and it is time to ask us anything.
This is where you can send us a question about anything.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yes. Today it comes from Jordan and Pataluma, who sent
us a message and says, I had the new KFC
mashed potato poppers the other day. They are so good.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Sounds good.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
That sounds good. I have not heard of that item yet.
Jordan asked, you have a favorite fast food item easy,
Jack in the box, tacos, Jack.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
In the box tacos. We were just talking about those
the other day.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
I love those. What is it for you?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
So?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
For me?

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I probably have pizza the most. Oh oh okay. But
my secret indulgence is I love chicken nugget nuggets from McDonald's.
Oh mustard, Oh that mustard sauce. So good.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
That mustard sauce to me at McDonald's tastes like it
did in nineteen eighty seven. It has not changed. It
has been a staple. I love it.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I don't know if you remember this. A few years
ago they got rid of it and people rebuilt.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Up in arms.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
It came back.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Do you remember when McDonald's. I don't even know if
they still do this. They had first they started when
they introduced the Nuggies back in the eighties. Yeah, they
had like just the mustard sauce. Then came other options.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Barbecue, honey, mustard, sweet and sour.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
We love what we love the mustard sauce is kid
Michael is listening to us on our iHeartRadio app. So
what is it for you? Your favorite go to fast food?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Even in the South, it's going to be water Burger.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
I have yet to partake of what a Burger? How
about you? Carolin?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Never had it? No, what is your face item?

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Of course we're in the South. We don't care about
our weight. It's double cheeseburger.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Oh yes, my man, I love that. So what a burger?
What's on it that makes it so special? Is there
a secret success?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
What's the difference between like what a Burger and just
your run of the mill fast food? What what makes
what a Burger? Better?

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Well, first of all, it's a new chain that opened
up to the Memphis area. You know, of course it's
out west, out of San Antonio. Everybody gets excited about
what they normally can't have. But it's a good burger,
just different.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I just love that San Antonio is out west for you.
When we're here in San Francisco about as west as
you can go.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
When I travel out far west, I always indulge in
in and out, in.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
And out Burger, I know, I do. I love Your
accent is so adorable.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Really, what accient do you?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Well, here's a question. Do you think we have accents?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
No, not at all? Don't. I don't notice an eggcent?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
That is so funny to me.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Michael, you have a good day.

Speaker 4 (08:10):

Casper's hot Dogs in Portland when you still live there?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
I'm actually went into a sober living program and I
have been sober from alcohol five months now.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Good, very nice.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
Oh, it's a very it's a very good thing.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
How do you feel after five months of sobriety?

Speaker 6 (09:39):
I feel great, it feels really good.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
I've had a lot of project tragedy in my life.
I lost my son and he was nineteen and after
that dis verything, this went downhill. So wow, I'm starting
to live again. So it feels really good.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Oh my gosh. Well, we're sorry to hear about your son.
For sure. I can't even imagine being in that situation.
But it's almost like you have to hit the bottom
to come back up right, So you're on your way.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
Yeah, for sure, for sure.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, yeah, we are sending you all the love in

I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Have a great day. Thank you for listening.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
All right, you guys too.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Okay, and to keep going, Samantha, I will thank you
so happy for her and if you have a brighter
side for us. We're at eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Coming up this morning at seven twenty five, Carolyn, I
did something the other day, a very simple task that
felt super strange, and I want to know if I'm
the only one who would feel this way. I'm going
to say, yes, let me tell you about it, and
then you can decide what is weird the incident or me.
That's seven seven twenty five. I'll tell you what it was.

(10:52):
Here on the breeze, love it.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Michael Jackson, seven twenty four good morning. It is the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
And all right, Carolyn. So the other day I ate
sushi from the grocery store. I don't know if you
ever bought sushi from the grocery store.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Absolutely I have and enjoyed it, and I neglected to
grab chopsticks.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
They have a little bin of chopsticks. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I got home, look for my chopsticks, realized I
didn't grab any. So I ate the sushi with a
fork and it felt wrong. That's a game changer.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
There is something about sushi has to be eaten with
chopsticks or it's just not the sticky stick, the cold
metal in your mouth with a no.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
No.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
It just felt very, very wrong and strange.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Do you not have a backup pair of chopsticks at home?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Thought I did? I thought I did, and I couldn't
find it. Here's where we differ, Court, Yeah, you've you
have an assortment of chopsticks.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I have an assortment. And here's why I have an assortment.
Every time I order sushi, I order so much that
they must think that four people are eating, so I
get four sticks. So I have a backup. So I
will bring you some of my backup. I get it.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
I appreciate, I can take care, I can take the hair.
I'll just make sure next time I grab chopsticks. But
it got me thinking, is there any other food that
where there's the equivalent if you don't eat it with
the proper utensil, it's just wrong. Now, I'm not talking
about soup, because obviously you can't eat soup with a fork.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Do you want me to bring up something controversial, because
I will, all right, how about the people that eat
pizza with a fork?

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Well, you know, sometimes I do if that pizza is
loaded up and you can't really take the triangle and
kind of squeeze it in half so that it's you
can just shovel it into your mouth.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I wish we had a camera, and here's so people
see the demonstration I'm getting while watching it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
While watch this, I'm okay with pizza, especially if it's
loaded up with toppings. Sometimes you gotta do it that way.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
If I'm at home alone and I have that sort
of pizza, yeah, no silverware necessary. If I'm out with anybody,
even if it's you, like we're friends, we're tight, I'm
still going to use a fork and knife. Really if
you're eating in front of somebody, you don't Most of
us Court don't want food on our face.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
You don't want the cheese, your finger foods interesting? Yeah, yeah,
like wings or ribs gets kind of difficult. Forget about it.
You can't you can't eat a rib with a fork
and knife. I guess you can't. Just yeah it should you.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
We're getting into murky waters. But yeah, there are other foods.
I think that people would say, you have to eat
it a certain way, you can't use a fork and
a knife, or you can't whatever. Yeah, what are those
foods that we're not thinking of? Because we've listed a
bunch eight seven seven nine eight one. Or send us

(13:49):
a message with our iHeartRadio app. You can use that
talkback microphone.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Great way for you to get a hold of this.
You just leave your message and it comes to us
right here in the studio. That's right courtep coming up
later the show eight fifty. As you begin your workday,
we're gonna help out with ninety eight minutes of non
stop commercial, free relaxing favorites.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Oh my gosh, so much good music on the way.
Definitely be here at eight point fifty as we go
commercial free on the Breeze.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. The other
day I ate sushi with a fork, Carolyn, and it
felt wrong.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Because it is weird to eat sushi with a fork.
And there are all kinds of foods like pizza for example. Yeah, controversial.
Some use a fork, some don't. Marry in Green Valley High,
I have the opposite.

Speaker 7 (14:33):
My cousin doesn't eat anything without a fork, any.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
Potato, chip, nuts, candy. She won't touch anything.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
With her hands.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
What is going on within that?

Speaker 6 (14:45):
She's a scientist and a germophobe.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Do you ever get used to going out to eat
with her?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
No?

Speaker 2 (14:54):
DLC and waterfalls on the base Number one for relaxing
favorites at work ninety eight point one. He's eight ten.
It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Last hour I told everybody that I ate sushi with
a fork and it felt wrong.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
It should feel wrong. It's just a fork and sushi,
just the cold metal.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Yeah, that got us thinking about other foods that are
strange to eat if you're not using the proper utensils.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yes, we were talking about pizza, where some people do
a knife and fork right. Others say that is not
how you eat pizza. That's a handheld you brought up ribs.
Ribs are yeah, ribs with a knife and fork?

Speaker 3 (15:32):
No thanks?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Yeah eight seven seven nine O nine eight one. Donna
in Fremont, Hi, good morning.

Speaker 7 (15:39):
My husband and I in the afternoons will share a
cup of noodles or rawmens. He'll always bring to the
table a spoon for him and a fork for me.
And he cannot see how I can eat the noodles
with a fork, because she says he likes to get
the broth and the noodle all in one bite.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
How does he do that with a spoon?

Speaker 7 (16:05):
I watch him and he fights and fights to get
the noodles on the spoon, but they slip off.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
A poor guy.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
His life could be so much easier if you would
just get fight or chopsticks or chopsticks or chopsticks.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
You're right?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Does this happen every day for you guys?

Speaker 7 (16:23):
We have a cup of noodles. We'll you know, once
or twice a week, you know, we'll have noodles for lunch,
and I'll sit there with my fork and I'll get
a nice big bite of noodles and then I'll put
the cup to my mouth and drink some bra But no,
he has to have the boss in the noodles all
in one bite. So he fights off with the spoon

(16:43):
and I'm comfortable with my fork.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Okay, I have to ask you this question. Does it
irritate you a little bit? Are you getting the cup
of noodles out? And you're like, here we go again.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (16:55):
Well I just kind of shake my head and think,
why why are you do?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
You're making life so difficult for yourself. It's just it
could be so much easier. Just get the fork.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
Get the fork, then get a lot of noodles.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
All right, Donna, thanks for calling in this morning.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
That was really funny. Have a good day, and thank
you for listening by.

Speaker 7 (17:17):
Listen to you every morning, and I love you guys,
I love the breeze.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Well, thank you, we appreciate that, and enjoy the rest
of your day. And we're at eight seven seven nine
eight one oh nine eight one, or you can always
send us a message with our iHeartRadio app. Just talk
into that talkback Mike.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
And on the way later this hour eight point fifty,
we're going to be commercial free as you begin your workday.
We're giving you ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free,
relaxing favorites.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah, you definitely want to be here for that. It
is very enjoyable to say the least. Right, be here
at eight to fifty on the Breeze. It's the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court. This morning, we're talking about
foods that you may eat in sort of an odd
or peculiar way, right, Laurie and Nevado Hi.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
I remember eating olives off of my fingers when I.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Was a little girl.

Speaker 7 (18:05):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Cannot eat an olive.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
You remember eating ali us off of your fingers as
a child. I remember eating them off of my fingers
from about two weeks ago.
