We Sit down and recap with Jeremy Watson OTA's Vice President about the 2025 banquet and how things went as well as get to chatting about Trappers meeting Trappers and a little cowboyin' wrapping up with my recollection of a sheep hunt I had the privilege of going with Dad on.

My Good Friend Zach Hanson, author of Turning Feral, has been on the show several times. Zach just started a new podcast called the OKayest trapper podcast. In an unique turn of events I got to sit in the HOTSEAT and be interviewed. Tune in to listen to another great trapping podcast hosted by Zach and hear myself talk about my experiences trapping.

Garrett weaver from Emmett Idaho go ahold of me a couple months ago about starting a history segment on trapping in the PNW.  Garrett took this task in stride and came up with some great information. Tune in to listen to this hour long history lesson of some well reconized names and places here in Oregon.

Chip and Myself have been working on the NTA podcast trying to bring it too life here and share information for all of the trappers in the country.  So as a bit of fun, and learning how to record over video chat we decided to do a quick show for the OTA page. Tony is an awesome dude. He exemplifies what it means to be a trapper a leader and a true outdoorsmen. I had the pleasure of meeting Tony at the Western states readiness summit in Boise Last Spring, and since then ive been wanting to get him on the show. Tony is packed full of great knowledge and stories, and gives us some great insight into what trapping/ and alligator hunting is like in Louisiana.

The National trappers association has started a podcast! Chip Davis is doing a great job as the main host, as we try to grow the NTA's show as well as OTA's we will be sharing there episodes time to time. Please tune in for the first two NTA podcasts back to back.

Jim and Lori are always a pleasure to talk to, and by far live an exciting life in Alaska. To do so however they must be preparing all year for the coming winter. From gardening and gathering firewood to stocking up on fish and bear meat in the spring, to growing poultry all summer, and harvesting moose in the fall. Its a lot of work but sounds like a lot of fun.
