Es una ciudad ubicada en la región de Los Tuxtlas del estado de Veracruz, donde convergen experiencias con gran misticismo, tradición y purificación, conocida por sus múltiples leyendas, pero, sobre todo, por la presencia explícita de brujería y hechicería. Según la tradición, Catemaco fue fundada por un brujo llamado Don Celestino. Actualmente, la región es famosa por ser “tierra de brujos”. La herencia de ritos y tradiciones Prehispánicas esotéricas, desarrolló la presencia de la medicina natural y los rituales en diversas formas. Catemaco también es conocido por sus leyendas, como la leyenda del lago de los monstruos. Se dice que en este lago habitan unos seres misteriosos y peligrosos, y que, si alguien se cae al agua, es arrastrado a las profundidades y nunca más vuelve a salir.
