Are we sure The Wall is a masterpiece? Can Dylan legit sing well? Is McCartney actually a lazy songwriter? And what exactly is “Nixon-rock”…? These are just some of the hard-hitting questions two indie musician pals, Thin Lear (Matt) and Niagara Moon (Thomas), come in with every week, surprising each other with strange fixations, controversial opinions, and of course - songs to listen to together. Join them as they eloquently bicker over the last 90 years of recorded music history, finding the overrated, underrated, and everything weird in-between.
Matt rings in the holiday cheer with a slew of Christmas songs he's never heard from classic rock & pop artists. Thomas imagines an alternate reality where the Beatles got back together in 1971 and improved on some of the material that came out on their respective solo albums.
New Hampshire DIY indie-folkster Geoff Himsel joins the show today! After reminiscing about their time playing Portsmouth together, Thomas shares songs from artists at their various ...low points. Geoff then asks the group to really examine the three "Christian" albums from ol' Bob Dylan.

Songwriter Drew Danburry of Icarus Phoenix joins the show today! Matt sings the praises of the first two (legitimate..) albums of David Bowie, noting how they set the course for his subsequent creative output. Thomas explores the niche topic of songs from fictional bands in movies.

Music critic, historian, and fashionista Abby Devoe is back on the show! Thomas opens with an ode to perhaps classic rock's most "liminal" figure, Doug Yule of the Velvet Underground. Abby then delights and frightens the group with a selection of tunes ideal for blasting on a surround sound system - and confusing everyone else around...
Thin Lear's got a segment this week! Just in time for his microphone to break down... He opens with a list of songs written with Elvis Presley in mind, that ended up going to other cover artists or performed by their composer. Thomas then follows with some beloved indie songs he thinks should become karaoke staples.

LMO all-star (and former bandmate of Thin Lear) Nate Safren returns to the show! Thomas opens with a question - in terms of its influence on a pop, how much jazz is too much jazz? Nate then opens the group's minds over the bizarre sound of unlikely spoken word mashups.
The hardest working man in show business is back! Songwriter/performer/filmmaker Matt Farley of Motern Media joins the show, just in time to hear Thomas's idea of which songs received the definitive cover version treatment. Mr. Motern then leads his own segment, an ode to the many hidden and not-so-hidden pop gems from genius Gregg Alexander of New Radicals.

Pianist/songwriter Damon Smith joins the show today! Thomas opens with an exhibit of the world's "bounciest" rock songs (in his mind). Damon then showcases some of the juiciest baroque chord progressions both Radiohead and The Beatles had to offer. https://www.damonisaacsmith.com/
