A Christian podcast hosted by a follower of Jesus. Striving to learn the word of God and seek the Lord’s teachings not commonly taught to share with others.
We have learned of so much in recent months and we are wrapping up our teaching on the marriage supper of the lamb. This episode will also answer the pending questions regarding the parable of the 10 virgins discussed previously. Spoiler Alert: The oil in the parable is NOT representing the Holy Spirit and we will discuss why. Tune into Take It or Leave It!
This episode will supplement the 'Grace and Truth' episode. We know that Christ is Light but did you know that you are also to be light? Tune into Take It or Leave It to review this deeper so we can all further examine ourselves to determine if we fit this teaching and line up with scripture. Do you walk as a child of light? Do you light up/expose the darkness?
Are you certain you apply this parable correctly? Tune into Take it or Leave It as we seek to confirm when the parable actually occurs. Is it before the rapture or before the second coming of Christ. Who is the audience here? What were the Jews really asking? What does the oil represent? This episode serves as an introduction. Enjoy this fresh revelation.
He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. This is what the word of God teaches us in Proverbs 28. We live in a world today where almost all are exercising hyper grace or hyper truth rather than looking to Jesus to mirror how we should respond to all others. Are you turning a blind eye? Are you condemning? Are you clear of your role in the church as a follower of Christ? Are yo...
This is for the church and a continuation of the Blasphemy series. Are you really involved, attached, and committed to the church? If not, you may not be a 'real' member, but just a number in the building. To be included in the rapture, you must ensure you are part of the body. Tune into Take It or Leave It to look deeper into this today!
We should strive to ensure we qualify for the rapture by being certain our service if efficient. When we receive an input of ability, we must have an equal output. We are to assemble together so we can work in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. How else can we pass on our knowledge? Every part, or member, is to do their share. Are you efficient? Listen here to Take It or Leave it!
We are to be true to one another and the bible emphasizes the importance of telling the truth. Tune into Take It or Leave It to identify if you are one who does the work or if you are one who pushed work onto others. Identify if you are the one who seeks to be seen by man or by God. You can't guess. We are living in more strict times to serve Jesus with truth and to spread His word with love.
Do you find yourself failing over and over again? Maybe you are a branch that will not be pruned due to no fruit. Ask yourself, "Am I urgently serving Christ Jesus?" The word is clear that when the antichrist is revealed, many will be deceived and God Himself sends strong delusions to those who refused to love the truth so they could be saved. Let's discuss this more on Take It or Leave It.
Jesus is our standard and He desires for us to no longer be tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine. There is work to do and we can expect to be opposed by the trickery of men and deceitful plotting of the enemy. Are you perfect? Are you equipped for the work? Are you working? We are to be united in our faith and the knowledge of the Son of God. Tune in now on Take It or Leave It.
Do you still lie? Did you know that is the language of Satan? Additionally, have you ever promised God something then fail to do it with urgency or do it at all? Be reminded we are dealing with a Holy God- not a buddy or friend. Join Maddison on Take It or Leave It to learn more about what the bible says about these things. Let's scrutinize ourselves to make sure we are not operating with error for Christ!
Many today use the excuse that 'no one is perfect' to reason out why they are disobedient to Jesus. This is very dangerous for your soul. Tune into Take It or Leave It to understand exactly what Jesus says to His followers. Spoiler Alert: They must be blemish and wrinkle free. Are you aware of the standard of perfection laid upon us from the Lord? There is a level of righteous we must achieve. You will not want to miss this.
Do you know that lying to the Holy Spirit is blasphemy? Too many today are claiming the Lord speaks to them yet they have not 'acts' to show for it. Join Maddison on Take It or Leave It to discuss how critical it is that we do not reject the truth.
Jesus is looking for purity. Will you qualify for when He returns? This is an important question we all should ask self. We will discuss the marriage supper of the lamb and also help us determine if we are in the process of sanctification which is mandatory. It's clear Jesus is returning for His bride (the true members of the church who obey His words) so we want to make sure we love the truth! Join Maddison here on Take It or Leav...
Join Maddison on Take It or Leave It to be reminded of who the Holy Spirit is and His role in our lives today. This is an intro to a deeper study of what blasphemy is. We ought to know what this is to ensure we do not do it because it is an unforgivable sin. Grab your pen and notebook and listen in here!
Did you know that Jesus is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit? This person is like the olive we have been discussing-the person who is pressed or restrained. Let's discuss this more. Remember, we will not have a resurrection Sunday life if we do not go through the good Friday life. Tune in now with Maddison on Take It or Leave It!
Join Maddison on Take It or Leave It to discuss more of the oil Jesus expects us to produce. Many today will share that following Jesus is easy, but Jesus taught us the difficult in the way. Did you know the holy and powerful word of God liken Jesus to a stone that will break all who fall onto Him? This is critical as Jesus will only use broken people. What happens if you choose not to fall onto Jesus? You will be crushed per the s...
Jesus is coming back to reunite with His true followers! Amen! Did you know Jesus was in a teaching ministry when He was on earth? Shouldn't we be the same? Jesus left earth but will later return- He promised! Before His return on earth a second time, the marriage supper of the lamb will occur. Will you be ready? What sort of oil are you producing? The Lord if specific in the oil He expects. Let's discuss more on Take It or Leave I...
Too many today are waiting for something bad in their life to happen to get closer to God. After the 12 spies were killed, it was only then that others decided to be obedient to the Lord. Delayed obedience is a sin. Romans 2: 4 says, " Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?" Do you recognize this? Or do you let the troubles in your ...
Today, there are many who encounter situations and response with positivity or negativity. A person can see a problem as a mountain or an ant hill. In the bible, these people also existed. Join Maddison as she shares of the spies Moses sent to the promise land. If the Lord promises a favorable outcome yet you encounter mountains along the way, how would you respond? How do you think God will respond to your response? Tune in now on...
Paul and Silas worshiped the Lord after being beaten and thrown into prison. Many today would struggle to do that. This episode of Take It or Leave It reminds us of a powerful example of God's power. Join Maddison for this short encouragement and reminder. When we worship God with our lives, not just in song alone, He will meet us where we are. Don't you want that? Listen in here.

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
