Tales from the 72: Making Movies in a Weekend
Every year filmmaking teams from across the country compete in timed film competitions like the 72 Film Fest. On each episode of Tales from the 72, we pair up two teams to chat about the fun and challenges of making a movie in a weekend. War Stories will be shared, advice will be given, and with any luck lifetime friendships will be made.

On this episode is two relatively young teams, both having competed less than 5 years. One took home "Best Student" and "Best Amateur", and the other took home a new award just after recording this called "Best Film Under 5 Minutes". They discuss everything from using kids and animals in their films, the challenges shooting during Covid Restrictions, and some fun and crazy on-set stories. Skinhunger meet Screenburn.
On this Episode, the creator of the longest running short film series of the Festival (and one of the few animators), chats with team leader of a team that has won just about every film at the 72 over the years.
