Mike & Armin talk about a recent medical journal article discussing a new treatment for PTSD.  Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is one of the most common psychiatric problems after trauma and often a medical damage in injury cases.  They discuss a high success rate/low side effect treatment called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

Based on positive feedback to a past episode, Armin discusses two more very unusual cases. Both cases fall way out of range of our typical Medical/Legal consultations. One case is a post-mortem psychological autopsy and the other case involves answering an attorney question about possible poor credentialing of a medical professional by a healthcare institution.

Mike & Armin discuss an interesting Workers Compensation case on which Mike consulted.  Our attorney client called Mike to say he was “stuck” regarding one of the injuries in the case.  After Mike reviewed the IME report in question, he let our attorney client know he disagreed with the medical opinions in the report and helped the attorney find a solution to this issue.
