Let me tell you so good to see you too.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I was actually in Atlanta for a day and there
was a tornado yesterday. There was terrible thunderstorms and the
power went out and I actually flew out there just
to film something. I'll talk about it and about last night,
right when we were about to start camera rolling, all
the power went out and we were off the grid,
and I was like, please don't make me have to
come back again to film.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
But fortunately everything.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
Follow him back on.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Uh yeah, it took about maybe like forty five minutes.
I'm excited.

Speaker 7 (01:04):
Though.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Jordy Door has been here all week. Today is her
last day as.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Old feel like she'll be back there at one point.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
She definitely it's up to her family.

Speaker 8 (01:11):
Now, it's up to her you're a family photo.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
And Uncle Waffos is going to be joining us today.
And you're a DJ to Jordia Dora, so you got
to make sure you ask me your DJ questions. But
let's get the show started with some love and positivity.
Eight hundred two, nine fifty one fifty. Let's shine a light.
It's way up, shine.

Speaker 9 (01:29):
Machine, turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Shine light on. It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
All right, it's way up on a Friday. Jordan's here,
It's Mayo's here, No man, Yeah, and let's shine a
light today on this Friday.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Do y'all know CPR?

Speaker 8 (01:53):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I do?

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Okay, good?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Well, these students sixteen and seventeen years old at Oak
Park High School saved their teacher's life with CPR, and
you know, fortunately they were able to know how to
do that now. Alfri Katola teachers physical education and while
playing a basketball game where students faced off against teachers
for the wind, he started to feel winded before going
into cardiac arrest. So that's when two girls, Israel Dubos

(02:17):
and Corey Coleman ran to his aid to administer they
had only learned CPR a few months prior.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
But immediately knew what needed to be done. Isn't that dope?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Sometimes I just practiced CPR.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Okay, that's not CPR.

Speaker 8 (02:30):
Something else.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
We actually did a CPR lessons at my juice bar
at the nurse but in Brooklyn, yeah, they did some.
So shout out to Dawn for setting that up. And yeah,
that's a dope skill to be able to have. Man, No,
I don't believe that you know CPR.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
How long CPR as a child?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
So it stuck with you absolutely?

Speaker 4 (02:51):
What about you, Jordi, jir? How'd you learn it?

Speaker 10 (02:53):
I think when I was a cocktail waitress.

Speaker 8 (02:58):
Yeah, not too you get that when you're like a waitress.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Okay, Well we have the students speaking on what happened medically.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I was gone.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
I just knew how to do something.

Speaker 8 (03:07):
I began compressions.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
The eighty was brought.

Speaker 8 (03:11):
I was like, if you get tired, you know, let
me take over compressions. My baby brother has seizures, so
I always went to hear CPR.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Oh that is so sweet.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
But I shout out to Izzy and Corey again at
Oak Park High School, and who do you guys want
to spread some love to and shine a light on eight
hundred two nine fifty one fifty came. But who you
want to shine a light on?

Speaker 11 (03:32):
I like you standing light on my mouth?

Speaker 8 (03:34):
Oh okay, Happy Mother's Day.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
M Mother's Day is this weekend?

Speaker 11 (03:38):
Yeah yeah, I mean, you know, shipping all the meat
down when I mean trouble. You know, she always them
up bag. So I want to stay it out loud
in the review, shout.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Out to mommy, Happy Mother's Day. What are you guys
doing this weekend?

Speaker 11 (03:53):
I think I'm going to take the tours. Well, you
know you're my site getting them done and everything.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
That sounds amazing. Well, thank you for coling.

Speaker 11 (04:01):
Yeah, I'm from.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Oh I've been to joe Burgh once. I need to
come back. I need to spend some time there, like
at least a couple of weeks. All right, Well, thank
you for calling. I had a time in Johannesburg.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
All right.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well that was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I wish every day everybody was at beefing.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
But when we come back, we have your e T
and it's all about Shaq versus Shannon's sharp it's way up.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
They say.

Speaker 9 (04:27):
The rooms from industry shade to all of gosp out
angelas speeling that eet.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I see some more disc records coming et time. Natos here,
Jordan Emmanuel is here.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
It's JORDI George all right.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
And for some reason, now well not for some reason,
but Shannon Sharp and Shaq have been having a little
back and forth.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Now.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It all started when Shaquille O'Neill was on TNT talking
to Yokitch about winning his third MPV MVP.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
And here's what he said.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I want to congratulate you, but I want you to
hear from me. First. I thought the SGA should have
been the MVP. That's no disrespect to you, But congratulations Is.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
That an awkward thing to say to somebody.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I congratulate you, but but you shouldn't have got that.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
And Taylor Swift right, let me finish smack well.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Shannon Sharp then went and said that he thinks that
maybe Shaq is a little bit envious.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Here's what he said, Shaq see.

Speaker 12 (05:21):
These guys winning the d MVP, They're a little envious.
I understand that Shaq got four titles, but Shaq, no,
deep down but go shock name has never brought up
in the discussion.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Well, Shack then took to social media and responded, now,
is that a fair thing for Shannon Sharp to say?

Speaker 8 (05:36):
By the way, iscurate?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I don't think nothing's fair.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Here's what I think.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
Right.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
If Shaq said something about somebody and then Shannon Sharp
gave his opinion, everybody's giving their opinion.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yes, well that's the culture now.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah, so Shaq had got to be tapped ten in
your profession before you speak on someone in their profession.
And then he said, you took me sticking up a
shy as as jealousy of Joker shows how smart you
or in how you say anything to get clicks.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Then it goes on to just unload on him.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
He said, I know you're not I know you're trying
to stay relevant by gossiping on your podcast.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
We don't believe you.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
You need more people in any case, you forgot four rings,
three finals, MVP, Tip fifty and top seventy five. Google
me and to be quite frank, all this new success
you got, you still under me. You don't know my
work ethic, but according to I work less than you,
but I'm worth more than you. Make it make sense?
Any boy, just get Bay listen to it. I mean
it got that's a little ugly, it got very personal.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Shut shop Shop just jumped in and didn't mind as.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Bennison, but he commented on something that would say publicly
and that's.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
What that's well, that's that's where we're at now.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yeah, Shannon Sharp did respond to Shaq's message.

Speaker 12 (06:42):
I've never professed that I was his great as shock.
Am I a top one hundred player?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
No?

Speaker 12 (06:46):
Am I the equivalent of a football player as Shaq
was a was a basketball player.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
No, okay, So that's some of yeah accountability, you know. Now,
another person that puts Shack in the hot seat was
too sy to c.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
I don't know why. I can't say his name two
two times, two C two times.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
So he said that Shaq DM his baby mom, his
girl Samaria and said let me have that baby talking
about my son, and then they called him a weird
ass old head. But he did end up and he posted,
you know, the DM so he could prove that can
I have that baby?

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Is what the exact quote.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Was, like, let me have that baby?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
But look tucy though he was talking about his baby, Yeah,
the baby. Here's what he said because he did talk
to Shack and clear things up.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
So apparently I guess what he was saying was he
wanted my girl.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
If I would have ready liked that, I never would
have posted it because he's gone, DMN.

Speaker 9 (07:38):
Your girl, but you don't got no business jown my
girl feel like seven foot mark like five foot two?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Even finish my girl?

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Would he spending all feel like a fidget spinner?

Speaker 3 (07:50):
But I thought he was talking something about my son.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Tuccy got brought into that. Kenchack Lamar and Drake Beefs.

Speaker 8 (07:56):
Everybody's on my energy right now.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah, well that's your yet. And when we come back,
we have about last night. That's where we talked about
what we did last night. Mine is all about traveling
and planes, and let's play planes in honor of that.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Jeremiah J. Cole is way up.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Whoa night night? So about last night?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yes, I went down, all right, it's way up. I'm
angela yee my girl. Jordan Emmanuel Maino's here, good morning
about last night. So I dashed off to Atlanta for
a day. And when I tell you, the weather was crazy.
There was a tornado watch, the winds were crazy. I

(08:35):
was I'm filming for something we were supposed to film outside.
We had to cancel it because the winds were like
forty miles an hour.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
It was crazy. And then the power went out while
we were filming, and so it was a long day.
But shout out to the whole crew and the whole team.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I don't think I'm allowed to talk about it yet,
but pretty soon I'll just say this. I'm narrating a
docu series and so I've been working on that and
it has to do it.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Happen my lifestyle.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Okay, I do it all the time.

Speaker 8 (09:01):
I would love to hear that.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I would love to I'd be like when Anna was young,
that be a problem. What were your guys days like yesterday?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Best friend?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Your best friend Kenya Kenya? Oh, kenya up here? I
was like, all right, that's good. I said, no, you
were up here nice and early today before me. I
liked that for you was an entrepreneur. He's a businessman,
all right, And what about you, Jordie.

Speaker 10 (09:30):
Jor I was a child of God. Last night I
stayed in and watched Severance. Oh I hadn't seen it before. Okay,
how was it? It's very good, but it's stressing me
out a little bit, because I'm like, we're one step
away from that with AI at this point.

Speaker 8 (09:44):
So I'm like, do I have an any I don't know.
I gotta watch Severance.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
It was really good.

Speaker 8 (09:48):
It's on Apple, all right.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I gotta watch it on the plane coming back.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
And by the way, so when I was going to
Atlanta at LaGuardia, somebody got arrested while I was in
the airport.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
It was wild.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
This woman was like screaming and it took a long
time for them to arrest her. But everybody was being
nosy and no, she was there skooming. It took a
long time for them to like this was going on
for like thirty minutes.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
I know. I was like, is something going to happen?

Speaker 8 (10:15):
Escalator wasn't involved with this one?

Speaker 4 (10:17):
No, there was no escalator involved. Jim Jones wasn't there.
And then what's crazy is on the way back.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I was going to come back this morning, but I
knew there was a risk that I wouldn't make it
to work because of traffic on time, and so I
came back last night because all the flights were delayed,
so I was able to catch a flight since everything
was delayed.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
When we finished filming, and.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
While I was in the airport, they shut the airport
down for temporarily. I don't know what happened, but when
I tell you, this was a trip of like what
is going on? But I meant it, Yeah, it's a blessing.
And then I watched on the plane The Beekeeper. Remember
I was saying I didn't I didn't. I didn't know
what the movie was about, and so I started watching
it because like it kept popping up on the screen
every time I've been traveling.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
It was good. Though I like a violent movie sometimes.

Speaker 10 (10:59):
Oh it's violent, very extremely it's a peaceful little like
be keeping moving.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
It's not exactly that's what I thought. When and even
when you see the.

Speaker 13 (11:07):
Picture anytime, you should see Jason Statham just knowed anything
to do, everything to do.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
A hundred of people are getting killed, definitely on Scream.
All right, Well that was about last night. And when
we come back, we have tell us a secret and
I could listen to y'all conversations while we're off the air,
and no, there's a lot of secrets that y'all both
have about different things.

Speaker 14 (11:27):

Speaker 13 (11:28):
But you do know I know a lot of yours,
though okay, Well that's fine, all right, So we got

If it were allays out with my friends and we
are all way in the hotel, and she had told
the joke, and you know when people say they're gonna preself,
it's like something you say, But no, I wet myself
up in front of everybody.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
It was so seriously, and everybody noticed.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
Yes, oh cool.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
I was like, oh my god, she should be a comedian.
Whoever made you laught at?

Speaker 15 (12:28):
Right?

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Is that the only time that's ever happened to you?

Speaker 14 (12:31):
Yes, that's the only time I play play.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Well, at least you didn't shirt that had been worse.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah, I guess that would have been really bad.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
But listen, y'all know sometimes when you going home and
you're trying to put the key in the door and
you got a pee.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Yes, that's the worst.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
You know, a little bit of pea come out bit.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
No.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Yeah, no, I don't know because he knew too much.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
No, I'm just asking you.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Yeah, well, listen, there's nothing to be ashamee of. What
did you do after that? Go upstairs and change or yes?

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I definitely did.

Speaker 14 (13:00):
Definitely did.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
One time I was in Miami and one of my
homegirls she peed all over herself while we were out,
and she was like, she kept going.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
She was like, when I'm drunk, sometimes I pee myself.

Speaker 8 (13:09):
I've been there.

Speaker 10 (13:09):
Yeah, see I've had those moments. No, I was sleeping
over my friend's house. This is when I was in college,
and I wet her bed with.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Her in it with her any Yeah, I can relate
a guy with the.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Bed with you.

Speaker 15 (13:25):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
It was really.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
And he was like, I don't know, And then I said,
did you pee the bed? And he said, that is
not my character.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
He might as well hang up because these stories is better.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
He was so drunk, you might as well hang up,
my guy. Yes, don't these stories is better.

Speaker 7 (13:51):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I'm good? You want to tell me Mana and Jordy
Door's secret on this Friday?

Speaker 7 (13:56):
Yes, okay. So I have five kids and three baby
daddies and when of woman is in prison and he's
basically like my.

Speaker 14 (14:07):
Favorite baby daddy.

Speaker 7 (14:08):
Okay, but I'm in a relationship and living with my
youngest dad and my baby daddy's about to come home
this year, and I don't know how to tell. I
don't know how to tell my other baby daddy.

Speaker 14 (14:21):
He gotta go.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, I will say this. Though your baby daddy was
in jail. He knows you have a kid with somebody else.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
He's been locked up for like three years. So he
was like, I did the mistake. So I don't want
you to stop your life because I made a mistake.
So when we made an agreement that I do what
I want to do basically while he's in jail.

Speaker 13 (14:43):
And you sure did, but you gotta tell him before
he come home that you're living with the other baby daddy.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
He knows I'm living with him.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Say she wanted to break you know that the latest
baby daddy her fast policy.

Speaker 13 (14:55):
Also, so when he come home, give him two more
babies and let him out do that other one.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
Oh yeah, now I can't have no more babies. They
got my team side and he's not about that.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Do you think you're your current guy.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I already knows that you're still in love with your
ex because he probably has some idea.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
Well, I have his name touched on me like three times,
and I don't have his name on me. You know,
he always tells her he's always like you wrote him
more than me. But he got my name across his face,
both of them did.

Speaker 8 (15:27):
Damn girl, I need some advice.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
I need you need some of that.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Tell that if it's that good, I might send you

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Well, thank you for sharing with us. It's no judgment here,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (15:45):

We still want to hear from you, and when we

wife is now suing him for defamation. All right, let's
see if you think that she has a leg to
stand on its way up?

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Don't she about to blow the lid up off this spot?
Let's get it.

Speaker 9 (16:04):
Angelus feeling that yee tea, Come and.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Get your tea.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
It's way up, yea tea time on a Friday.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I got my girl. Jordan Emmanuel here, Maino's here, no man.
All right, well, there's a lot of drama going on
right now. Gary Owen was on the Club Shape Shape podcast.
Now he said he did give his ex wife Kenya
a heads up that it was happening, even though she
hoped that he wouldn't do it, and she didn't like
some of the things that he had to say. First,

(16:31):
we'll tell you what he said, and then we'll tell
you her response. Now, did y'all know that he just
recently welcomed twins?

Speaker 8 (16:36):
No?

Speaker 4 (16:37):
I didn't know that either. But here's what he said.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
There's a report that you just recently welcomed twins.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Damn you know everything.

Speaker 12 (16:44):
Congratulation and one's white ones black stop swear to god,
ones got blue eyes?

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Could you tell about the nipples and one's got blue eyes,
got these pink the pink nipples.

Speaker 10 (16:56):
The other one brown eyes, brown brown Nipples's dang, I
have twins, one black, one's white.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
In addition to that, his children that he has with
his ex Kenya, he's really not able to be active
in their lives.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
According to him, he tries. But here's what he said, what's.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Your relationship with your kids right now? I don't have one.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
It's been three three and a half years. How hard
is that for you?

Speaker 1 (17:17):
It's a nightmare.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
It's like they're my greatest accomplishments and my greatest failure.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
At the same time.

Speaker 14 (17:22):
But to see how it's just crashed and burned since
of divorce, and this is all since of divorce.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Yeah, so you know, he explained what's been going on
and talked about how he's been there for them and
their lives now.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
His ex Kenya, upon hearing this, said.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
My growth is not feeling the need to address mistruths anymore.
The grace and kindness I have shown you is the
space to tell lies and false narratives for sympathy and
attention without correcting. You are a great storyteller. Sometimes I
get caught up in your versions. She said, it's been
three years. I'm always kind of cool. I purposely never
make it awkward. I never bother you. I've given you
my suggestions on the situation, but you don't respect their boundaries,

(17:58):
which is why you discuss this again on social media.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
I don't know what's really going on.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
I just feel like family business should stay off.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Of socials, not nowaday.

Speaker 8 (18:08):
I just feel like it makes it so much more
messy and just.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
The name of the game now.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
And I think it's hard, especially when the kids are involved,
because they have to see that and that's got to
be really traumatic and everybody it's it's a.

Speaker 8 (18:19):
Lot mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
All right, Well, another family situation Tyrese his ex wife
is suing him for defamation and he did post paperwork
of this legal filing and she's now, you know, decided
that she wants to assume.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
You know, their daughter, Sheila is sixteen years old.

Speaker 8 (18:37):
Now that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
I didn't even realize she was, you know, grown like that.
But he said, I've got nothing to lose but my
mind and my reputation, and neither one of these are
no longer up for grabs.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
We are living in the times up in me too era,
and as soon as a man goes public about the
abuse and trauma inflicted on him by a woman, we
are shamed into silence. I'm past that. Be yourself in
my comments. STF you man up, stop putting your no
ish out there on the timeline.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Be more private.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Did you tell my ex to be more private in
twenty seventeen when her accusations rocked my life, my career,
my marriage, and every opportunity imaginable. So now she's doing
him for a defamation.

Speaker 8 (19:14):
She sh a lot.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
This co parenting thing feels like it's hard. May no,
thank God for you. Yeah that you haven't had these issues.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Man, I kept my issues in private.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Mm hm.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Now gee.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Herbo is saying that fans should stop asking him for
photos while he's with his family, and he tells a
crazy story about somebody coming up to him in the airport.

Speaker 16 (19:35):
I appreciate it all the little while get for me
and buddy, but it's just something that bothers me.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Man.

Speaker 16 (19:40):
You shoot me out when Mom's family, especially my kids,
bone asked me for no pictures man.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Right, he said he was holding his son in one arm.
Somebody came up to him, you know, while he's pulling
a bag in the other hand holding the baby, wanting
to get a picture.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
That's disrespectful. A lot, yes, a lot.

Speaker 10 (19:57):
Better relax, I get on getting anast and you don't
get to see this person every day.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
But just giving me like YO, love your stuff, keeping
me you can't.

Speaker 13 (20:05):
You got to understand people don't have the opportunity and
they don't have the mindset to think about those things.
I will take pictures with whoever, because I just know
and understand that the whole name of the game was
we was trying to get people to know us.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Yeah, but if you have a little baby in your.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Arm, I've been there. I've been there every time. Yeah,
baby was it?

Speaker 6 (20:27):
You know?

Speaker 3 (20:28):
I love the kids?

Speaker 14 (20:30):
All right?

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Well, that that is your ut. When we come back,
we have under the radar.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Imagine somebody is living inside of a sign at the supermarket.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
I've never heard of such a thing, but we have
that in under the radar. When we come back. Its
way up the news news.

Speaker 9 (20:45):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Housing is a major issue here in the United States.
I'm angela ye and I got my girl Jordan Emmanuel here,
it's Jord Mao's here and a woman in Michigan.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
They're calling her the rooftop Ninja.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
She spent that last year living inside the signage of
a grocery store. Contracts were hired to work on the
roof at the Family Fair supermarket in Midland, Michigan, and
they found an extension cord that was leading to the
secret living space. And they found a living area with
a mini desk, flooring, a pantry of food. But I
love it so that she had a coffee machine shout
out to coffee.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Up lifts people. And she was living basically in the
sign on the top of the store.

Speaker 10 (21:27):
I think about this often when I go to grocery
stores or department stores. I think about what I would
like where I would live in there.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Right, you do? I do?

Speaker 15 (21:38):
Sign?

Speaker 8 (21:39):
You haven't seen that movie with Natalie Portman.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
What movie was it?

Speaker 8 (21:42):
I don't remember what she was like. She got stuck
in the Walmart.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
I did not seay there overnight, and she was pregnant.
But that's gonna be fun everything.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Being stuck in Walmart is not a bad thing.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Living in a sign is different.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
Yeah, that's different.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
But she got to do that for about a year,
all right.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
And speaking of which, one in twenty four New York
City residents is a millionaire. That's more than any other city,
by the way, So they said nearly three hundred and
fifty thousand, or one and twenty four residents. And according
to a new ranking, it's also home to seven hundred
and forty four centy millionaires. That's people that's worth at
least one hundred million dollars and sixty billionaires.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Welcome to the big city.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
You got to have it club, right, You've got to
have money to really like be comfortable in New York.
And there's a nonprofit group here that is planning to
give students in Harlem ten thousand dollars each to invest.
The Harlem Children's Zone is an anti poverty organization and
they're raising three hundred million dollars. It's an initiative called
Wealth Builds that's going to launch an Upper Manhattan and

(22:44):
expand to ten other cities like Atlanta, Minneapolis. They've already
raised enough money to provide the funds to more than
twenty two hundred kids, which is the entire student body
at two chartered schools called Primise Academy and a lot
of these kids don't even know it yet. But imagine
you get that little head start of ten thousand dollars,
you get to invest that and then watch that money grow.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
All right, well that is you're under the radar.

Speaker 10 (23:04):
You know.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
We got the Way Up mixed. At the top of
the hour plus, we have Uncle.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Waffles joining us and her new single wadibus right, Wadibusa.
She'll be talking about that. That single is out right now,
and you're gonna join us, right, Jeordie Jos, you're a
DJ too. Uncle Waffles is an amazing DJ. I saw
her in Philly at the Roots Picnic. You're gonna love this.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
It's way up, just like the tout.

Speaker 15 (23:27):
Like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jee Man.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
She's spilling it all. This is yet.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Way up, all right, it's way up by Angela Yee.
And of course Jr.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
And Emmanuel is here. It's Jordi George of course.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
And Mano's here, no mana. Well, let's get into this,
yea tea. More dises are coming. Okay, Well, the game
has put out a song and it is called Freeways Revenge.
He's dissing Rick Ross and he had a lot of
things to say about him here is I mean, he
talks about his weight, he talks about him needing on
Zim Big, he talks about allegations of drugging from the

(24:03):
You ain't even know his song, but here's what he
had to say.

Speaker 12 (24:06):
I just vote a hunters foot yet And there was
captive aating congratulations.

Speaker 9 (24:10):
What an imagination from CEO to drug q pen against acting.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
And there's a whole other beat that happens here. It's
interesting because I would think the game would be rocking
with Kendrick, because this whole beef started with Rick Ross
versus you know, versus both of them.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
I know that's why it's a little I.

Speaker 13 (24:27):
Think he felt like Ross was inserting hisself into that,
so he felt like.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Let me insert myself cert myself in it.

Speaker 13 (24:35):
I'm curious to see how I was gonna play out,
because Ross is either gonna respond directly or maybe not
go directly and throw a couple of shots here and there.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Whenever, well, you know, there's a lot of dirt to
dig up, all right. And speaking of inserting yourself, Freddy Gibbs,
apparently he has another baby on your way.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
This woman Jasmine Grenaway said, why are y'all acting so confused?
I said, Freddy Gibs put his hands on me, which
left scars and bruises. Then I found out I was
pregnant and he won't help me get the abortion because
he knows the risk due to my medical history of
having several ovarian tumors and a laparatomy.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
And she said, like, stop being dumb.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
She posted the pictures of these bruises that she alleges
are from Freddy Gibbs, and she also posted the pregnancy test.
And you know, I'm not sure what's going on here,
but Freddy Gibbs definitely said the devil is a lie.
He is six ' nine god. That's what he said.
So well, he just said the devil is a lie.
Somebody else said he's a six nine god. But people

(25:33):
are saying that Freddy gives us a menace. He is
now trending because of this, and we don't know the
full situation, but a lot of people are also like,
she's just Mother's Day.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
We get the timing is I mean nobody's taking a
day off?

Speaker 4 (25:45):
All right?

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Well that is your yet when we come back, it
is a New Music Friday and I mean, did you
just mix it come out yet?

Speaker 4 (25:53):
I was listening on the way to work to see.

Speaker 8 (25:59):
Her give me the lie song?

Speaker 4 (26:01):
All right, Gunna has a new album out, but we'll
talk about all of that.

Speaker 9 (26:03):
It's way up with its relationship or career advice. Angela's
dropping facts.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
This is as GI what's up? His way up at
Angela yee?

Speaker 2 (26:13):
I'm Angela yee and Jordan Emmanuel is here's here? And
if I could ask ye eight hundred two nine fifty
fifty and we have somebody on the line right now?

Speaker 4 (26:22):
What's good?

Speaker 14 (26:23):
What's good?

Speaker 6 (26:24):
What's good?

Speaker 4 (26:25):
What's good?

Speaker 14 (26:25):
Now?

Speaker 4 (26:25):
What is your question for the did you want to
stay anonymous?

Speaker 12 (26:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Okay, what's your question for us?

Speaker 14 (26:31):
If you're in love with a person, how do you
express it instead of being corny and you know, sounding
weird and stuff. How can you express it to a
person to let them know that you know, you really dig.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Is it somebody you're dating or just a friend?

Speaker 7 (26:48):
Oh?

Speaker 14 (26:49):
I would say just a friend?

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Like do you all mess around? Is she interested in you?

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Well?

Speaker 14 (26:56):
Start this person? Maybe a couple of times met this person,
like at work, but never really had the chance to
communicate or talk, you know, to this person.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
So why don't you just tell her how you feel?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Well, they've never even dated. Maybe you need to start
with that and just say I like you da.

Speaker 14 (27:16):
I just know that when I went to try to
respond to the person like, I had every type of
sign or every type of person, even family members throwing
me off left and right.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
I just think sometimes putting too many people in your
business is going to cost issues. And I think you
also need to see before you start telling somebody you
love them, you know, at least like spend some time
with them, go and see if they're interested in you,
so that you don't make them like us it's crazy overwhelmed.

Speaker 10 (27:47):
Yeah, I think a little date would be nice, even
a little coffee, some tea, something chilled, something to eat.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Right right? Does she speak to you when she sees you?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Oh?

Speaker 14 (27:58):
He gave me more than no signs that she acknowledged me,
acknowledge me, but never really communicated.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
You just scared, man, Always that's all.

Speaker 14 (28:10):
That is, always always blocking.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Are you really in love with somebody you've never even
been out with?

Speaker 14 (28:16):
It's kind of crazy, I know, but it's like I
already know that person already had dreams. Why he'ven met
that person.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Okay, so you think it's.

Speaker 14 (28:28):
All that person already in dream I.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Could relate to that. I've been I've been there. I
fell in love with people I never knew.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Okay, So I just want to say, you need to
at least like Jordan and I were saying, date, yeah,
or it.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Don't even you don't even have to call it a date.
So is she? Is she married or in a relationship
or what's going on?

Speaker 14 (28:44):
That's the void, right, That's what I don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Even if you just ask her like, yo, let's grab
something to eat. I heard about this new restaurant, or
ask her what's her favorite food, and then you know,
be like, let's go out to eat at this restaurant.
That's a good way to find out everything you need to.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Know without talking talking.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
Now, women love confidence, right.

Speaker 8 (29:02):
So yeah, I was just saying this.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Well, I'm gonna say one thing, you missed one hundred
percent of the shots that you don't take. And that's
the only advice that we can give you. If you
don't take that shot, you never know what could happen.

Speaker 14 (29:13):
Well, next time I see that person, I'm going to
definitely step out with god man, I'm pretty sure that
person that was my voice and know who I am?

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Okay, yeah, you know she listens. All right, Well, thanks
for calling, good luck?

Speaker 7 (29:27):
All right?

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Well that was ask Ye eight hundred two ninety two fifty.
In case you couldn't get through, you can always leave
a message that will help you out. And when we
come back, Uncle Woffles is going to be joining us
from South Africa. But she has really really blown up.
She's a DJ and so is Jordie Geor, so we're
going to talk to her.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Yeah, it's gonna turn me up.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Here we go up again.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
This is way up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
What's up? It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Ye.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Are my guest co host for the week, Jordan, and
this is your last day guest hosting for the week.
But Jordan Emmanuel is here and we have Uncle Waffles here. Hey,
it's everything when it comes to you because it's you DJ.
But it's not just that you're so interactive, and that's
not something that we normally see. So let's dig into
Uncle Waffles and how we got to where we are today,

(30:14):
because in reading your story, you've really started DJing during COVID.

Speaker 15 (30:18):
Yes I did. I started learning and ten to any
one and then took out my first poster the same year.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Wow, yeah, the first time you dj? What was that
like your first kid?

Speaker 15 (30:28):
I did absolutely horrible, but I told myself it's okay.
So my practice was with like a fifteen year old day.
So when I started playing for clubs, this had so
many things that are different, Like.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
I don't know what that is because you keep saying
what is the deck or the deck?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Yes, okay, okay two year old.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
I was like, no, don't do that. Okay, sorry, yes.

Speaker 15 (30:54):
So when I started playing in the club, I was
very confused. It was a horrible hour. But my friends
came out support me, you know, they were like, it
was pretty good.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
It's something say it was getting hyped to It looked
like you were doing a good job.

Speaker 15 (31:05):
Yes, as long as people are dancing, you're fine.

Speaker 8 (31:06):
Right, just see those head nods and you're like, I've
gotten through it.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
What was your first DJ and gig? Like Jordan, since
we're asking.

Speaker 8 (31:12):
Mine was also a hot mess.

Speaker 10 (31:14):
I was doing All Star Weekend in twenty twenty and
it was Dave East and Sweetie and my flight was
four hours delayed, so I was late for my set.
I could barely even get up there, couldn't connect the
equipment right like.

Speaker 8 (31:28):
It was a hot mess. Yeah, but we got through it.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
I'll go wif us is here joining us today straight
from South Africa. Now, when did you realize, let me
go out in this audience and get hype with everybody,
and that's gonna be a thing.

Speaker 15 (31:40):
So I did it for the first time at a
private party that some kids were throwing because I've always
been able to dance. I always been that kid that
opens the circles, you know. So I just did it
a bit and I was like, okay, people like it.
And then that was my first video to semacoviral. So
I started stepping out here and there, you know, interacting
people a little if they liked it, but not all crops.

(32:01):
So yeah, I just started a bit by bit and
then with the viral video, I told myself that this
is my chance to stand out.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Now both of you are women DJs, so I want
to ask you, guys, do you feel like there's extra
things that you have to prove? Because I know for myself,
doing what I do as a woman, I feel like
I always have to come extra more prepared, and you know,
a lot of times I'll get a lot more criticism
for every little thing. I could say something someone else could,
a man could say it, but they'll be mad that
I said something. So I want to ask you about

(32:31):
what that has been like for you, because there's advantages too,
but there's also obstacles.

Speaker 15 (32:36):
So the biggest thing is people want a question if
you actually play. Yeah, so everyone is always like it's
definitely a premixer's no way you can dance and play.
But they don't say that to males.

Speaker 8 (32:46):
But as a.

Speaker 15 (32:47):
Girl, even though you know your music, you know how
long the music is, you know what you want to mix,
which are all things that happen when we practice, right,
you know, no one just goes and wings it. So
the biggest thing is definitely that people want you to
continue to prove yourself.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
That's a fact, all right.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Uncle Waffles is here joining me and Jordie Door and
when we come back we have more with her.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
It's way up here. It's gonna turn me up here.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
We go up here. This is way up with Angela. Ye.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
What's up is way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
I'm Angela yee, And of course Jordan Emanuel is here
and we have Uncle Waffles in the building. Now, being
that you have so much happening, I know that you
have more things in the works.

Speaker 15 (33:25):
There's no album in the works this year, but there's
a lot more singles okay, and a lot more visuals.
Because visuals getting to a place where I want to
read these visuals that are that much how I feel
I want to be seen because I feel like right
now they see me as an act to can fill
up a space, but they don't see me as a headliner.
And this year I'm trying to show people that be

(33:45):
artists can be headliners. So trying to create visuals that
really show that we can sell a show.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
No, honestly, you love such an impression.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
When I was at the Roos picnic, I was like, okay,
I need to make sure I know what's going on.
I came to work, I was like, yo, this this
Uncle Waffle was in their DJing. First of all, you
hear Uncle Waffles, you think like, god, yes, this is
old man.

Speaker 15 (34:06):
Was uncle like a all the time. It was like
mister Uncle Waffles and he's like, no, this is Uncle
Waffle's here.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
But that's dope.

Speaker 15 (34:19):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
It's super creative.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
And I remember Drake posted you and that was a
big deal for you at that time.

Speaker 15 (34:25):
It really was. That was like two months into my
glow up, So having someone recognized me that early on
was amazing.

Speaker 8 (34:32):
You called Drake.

Speaker 15 (34:33):
There was actually quite a number of people. There was
Jermaine Dupree. There was a lot of people who are like, oh,
you're create and we see something in you.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Uncle Waffles is here joining us today, straight from South
Africa and Waffles that came from a nickname you have
when you were young.

Speaker 15 (34:45):
Also, yes, it came from high school. My friends just
coming Waffles because of teen Titans. It just comes from
the song Waffles Waffles now here.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
I am Melissa.

Speaker 8 (34:55):
Where did uncle come from?

Speaker 15 (34:56):
So when I started playing, I didn't call myself Waffles.
I called myself Waffles And then my beautiful manager over
there decided to put off on every poster instead.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
So how did your mom feel seeing all this?

Speaker 15 (35:08):
She didn't get it at first, Like when everything happened,
she would ask me, when you go to other countries? Okay,
so using your own money to go to other countries
to go plain, why would you do that?

Speaker 8 (35:16):
And I'm like, no, they booked me.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
Yourself out on vacation playing music.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Like they booked me.

Speaker 15 (35:25):
She's like, oh, that means that they're paying you to
go there. I'm like yes, like oh, and then she
started understanding and now she knows that where are you
right now?

Speaker 8 (35:35):
Okay, please bring me this, dip me that.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Okay. She's like, I'm gonna get some of these perks.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yea, the single that you put out most recently. I
don't want to say it wrong. Okay, good, I just
want to make sure now what does that mean?

Speaker 15 (35:51):
Is just vibing and dancing?

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Yes, I got to make sure I learned the lingo
so I could just throw it around sometimes.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 10 (35:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
Well, honestly, I appreciate you for coming through.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
I know you don't always like do a ton of interviews,
