on the show today are two brilliant individuals. They seem
like it anybody's. I don't know them too well, but
I do like to drip on Aaron's hair, that's for sure.
And they are definitely revolutionizing the cultivation space as a whole,
one invention at a time, and we're gonna break these down.
And besides us today, you guys is renowned cannabis photographer,
which is dope that you're in the game doing this

(01:08):
because you've kind of tapped in the game on that
other side of it by taking pictures. We have Aaron
Washington who's been known for taking pictures for High Times
and all the biggest buds you've ever seen on the
biggest platforms. Aaron Washington is, like I said, the chief
marketing officer now for this company Aeron. Thank you for
joining us today. Brother, It's good to see you. Like
I said, I like the hair as we were brought
the same age. You bringing that old school flavor. Who hey, hey,

(01:33):
it makes me think of you, Daniel.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
That's the type of homie we'd have right here, right
and Daniel's got that old soul exactly. I could see
Daniel getting one of the hairstyles just like you, just
because Daniel would do some shit like that and then
joining us via zoom is the man that met the
legend mister Ah himself, Alan Hoffman, the inventor, the founder,
and he's so incredible that he couldn't even join us
today because he's that electric, you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
He's the CEO of Rooted Inelect and he couldn't even
be with us live in studio because he's that fucking creative.
He's coming from a company that provides curated and engineered
products for the home growers as well as the professional cultivators.
We're gonna get all into this, you guys. Rooted in
a lict is changing the game for cultivators. And I

(02:18):
was kidding about Alan being that electric. He just couldn't
join us today. But they're affecting people worldwide, you guys,
with the bloom carousel, which when I heard about this
and Daniel told me all about this rotating thing that
gives you a three hundred and sixty access of your
plant and you could trim it, you can touch it,
you can see it, you can look at the borderline

(02:39):
horder culture AI which you say the word is pronounced
how forrisis crisis what hell is for isis that is
going to be one of the best words. We figure
out what that is from you, Alan in a minute,
which we know we will get to try out live
on air. Here we're gonna see how this thing works
and every anything else. You guys. If you're listening to

(03:01):
it and you haven't seen it on the YouTube, go
to Rooted Intellect dot com r O O T E
D I N T E L L E c T

Intellectual more information on they on how they can help
you be a better grower and a better shower. That
is you, guys, because you'll get some nice buds right there.

(03:23):
Without further Ado, joining us via zoom, Alan and Erin
in studio. Thank you guys for joining us from Rooted
Intelligence Intellect.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Thank you for having Man for having us.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
No, thank you guys, and I mean you guys are
both here. Erin, thank you for joining us live. Alan,
you're joining us via zoom. I don't know exactly where
you're located at, but you have something massive behind you.
What are you in right now? What is this that
you have behind you?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
So I'm in my basement here in Colorado, where we
have what we're calling the grow Talk Lab. We post
twice a day to TikTok. This is my R and
D space. I've gotten a four tent for doing flowering
where we're qualifying bloom carousels and some other pool technology
we have. I got a couple of veget tents up
in front.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh, your carousel's in there, I see, huhh yeah, Oh
how many is in there?

Speaker 5 (04:11):
This one there's actually let me disconnect my laptop here,
y'all come in with me for a little ride.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Oh nice.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
So we actually have six of them in here. So
you see as I'm been around how they get smaller?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Oh okay, yes, they're like, uh yeah, like jars, dorm
damn near adjust.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
That's to show you that they're adjustable. So as I
was designing it, I made sure that it could get
into the tightest grow tents, but also expand up if
you're doing like a whole room grow or like you're
doing in a greenhouse you've got taller plants. It's designed
to be as flexible to as many different plants and
grown conditions as possible.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
And does it just spin like you turn it by
your hand, or is it done electronically. How does this
device work?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
So it sits on foe locking casters. Okay, so you
can move it around laterally if you want to move
it from like a vegroom to a flowering room, and
then those lock in place, and it's sitting on a
rotational bearing. So the entire turntable then spins. And since
you're mounting your nets on the inside of the cage,

(05:16):
that allows you to put this thing in a two
x two tent or like in mind, like six to
eight of them, and to be able to get to
each one of them independently and have three hundred and
sixty degree access to every single plant as you work
through all the issues that you have to deal with.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
It's so funny because this sounds so simple and so
genius that it's like, how come this hasn't been around forever?
I Mean, what you're describing is something that I feel
that most growers would have needed and wanted right.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Right particular the motility challenger. Man say that again, in
particular the mobility challenged. I have psiatica on my right leg.
I've been a medical cannabis consumer for ten plus years now,
and when I started growing in twenty twenty three. The
problem I ran into is how do you get to
the back of the tent when it's fully trellised.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
That's had such a great old Wow, this is how
you came up with it? Huh?

Speaker 5 (06:13):
And you know, like Russmuld was a real problem, and
when your mobility challenged, you're going to struggle to deal
with that stuff. I actually broke a branch with ten
grams on it trying to deal with this this mold problem,
and I realized I had to invent a solution to
this for myself and for everyone else, because if you're homegrowing,
you're already in a position where you need this, and

(06:36):
people like us need all the help they can get.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
So, as you say that, Alan, I want to pry
a little bit. As you're a medical user, what did
you have that you found cannabis to use for you medically?

Speaker 5 (06:46):
So cannabis replaced my use of opiates and muscle relaxers entirely.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
How and why were you taking muscle relaxes? What was
the how did you identify this? And then how did
you find cannabis to relieve that?

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Like fifteen plus years ago, I got sciatica in my
right leg, from an occupational injury, and I did the
traditional medicine. I took the pills, I took, I took
more pills, I took more shots. It wasn't effective. And
when I was younger, I did Prop two fifteen help
do the campaigning for that, and so I turned to

(07:23):
medical cannabis. I was like, all right, I'll give this
a shot, and discovered that it did a lot more
for my discomfort than any opiates or any drugs they
were giving me, and did more for my quality of
life than what they were offering me. And so over
time that became a natural solution for me.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
And were you a cannabis user before this or was
this something that when you were realizing the sciatic pain
in your legs? And who identified cannabis as something else
besides the opioids.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
So it's two questions there. I did a little bit
of recreational use when I was younger. I think my
first exposure to cannabis when I was like seventeen, but
didn't do it all in my twenties until I got hurt, right,
And it was a friend of mine who suggested that
I go see one of the doctors in California check

(08:17):
me out. He's like, oh, yeah, there you go, medical card, paperwork,
all the things, right, And that has been the case
all the way to this day. I still have medical paperwork.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I find that so intriguing Allan because for me in
Blue here at Cannabis Talk one oh one, we really
look at cannabis as the medical aspect of it, right,
and that's what we advocate for. Like I'm all about
can't wait for me to look up how much for
a two hundred and fifty pound mail to take from
my hit pain? And I can use cannabis in a

(08:49):
pill form, liquid form, and that's what I really want.
If somebody wants to smoke a joint, Tuesday's fuck it
any David week smoke for those who want to use
weeds cannabis that way do But as you reference Alan
your pain, I too have had a lot of pain.
I've had two hip surgeries, ankle surgery two. MEO, that
is so crazy erin because for me, I started using

(09:11):
cannabis for medical reasons as well. So I've been cleaning
sober over twenty five plus years, no alcohol, no drugs,
and no smoking weed. And I don't smoke weed, but
I use oils and I use pins, and I'll use
the rubs and the saves and all this stuff. But
I am a huge advocate, Alan, of everything that you

(09:31):
are describing that you use it for right. And so
that's why I love the fact that you come up
with an ancillary product that you can create that rooted
intellect is only one aspect that we're touching now. I
can't wait to get to the other things. But to
hear folks that this is the CEO and Alan man
who reasons why he's creating what he's creating. And that's

(09:54):
the story that I love about rooted intellect because you're
a man that's created something from your experiences as a
normal grower and seeing what your problems are. If you're
maybe impaired or not, you want to get to that
back plant. You want to get to that back plan.
I don't care if you're Daniel and you're young and
strong and you can move around in your skinny light connor,

(10:15):
you still want to be able to spin it, yeah,
Or if you're a female and you don't want to
lift it and turn it. Everybody's a grower, it's not
so I think what you're creating and why you created
Alan is beautiful. I love the how you figured out
what you wanted to make, and this sounds like every
grow should have these type of components in there because

(10:39):
you're able to get to all aspects of the plant.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Say that again, Joe.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
It feels like by hearing what you have that you've
created Alan with rooted intellect, everybody should be talking to
Aaron Washington and saying, how can I get a hold
of one of these? Are hundreds of these for.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
My growth our Amazon store? That's how and what we
will it's gonna tell.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
And what do we do Aeron, How do you get
this word of this product to the people when we
come back. Aaron's gonna tell you, because we're gonna take
a break real quick, folks, root an intellect. You just
heard Alan tell you. The man had pain, he couldn't
fill his leg, and he started growing cannabis. He was
your normal workingman and realized I don't need to take

(11:25):
oa fields and I'm gonna grow cannabis and then I'm
gonna create something for everyone that can benefit then and
then Aaron's gonna go out there and market it, because
not only can the man take a fucking beautiful picture,
but he can talk about a product and let you
know about it when we come back. Hey, he's gonna
let us know a little bit more about this wonderful product.
It's rooted intellect. On Cannabis Talk one on one when

(11:46):
we write back after this break.

three one zero two, we were hanging out with the
gentleman from Rooted Intellect and Alan hearing what you invented
sounds amazing. Aaron Washington? Do you have a picture of

(12:58):
what Aaron's done? I just want to see something random?
Do you have anything up that we could see a
picture of? Nobody has that locked anything?

Speaker 4 (13:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Do you have a picture that's that you've created? Is
that one of them right there on number.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
Seven miracles of modern technology?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
We don't have it. Thanks for being locked and loaded
in the product. I thought we had a picture of
Aaron that he's taken of a bud as a photographer.
Remember that we talked about, Oh yeah, that part of
the show.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
So how about I jump right in and I'm glad that.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
What we're doing. I thought I made it clear at
the time. Did you understand what I was saying?

Speaker 4 (13:34):
I did? But you did?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Okay, cool, I'm glad you Can you join the production
team then maybe because if you understood, I don't know
how they didn't. So you know, that makes it even
more interesting.

Speaker 6 (13:42):
I was going to say, you're working with a professional bolt.
From what I've seen, these guys are the best. So
I'm not going to say that.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Well, they are pretty good, but right there they dropped
the ball. But tell me a little bit about you, Aaron,
and which is going on?

Speaker 4 (13:52):
You know which is interesting? You know, I have my.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Own there is a picture of it. Thank you for
the YouTubers, Thank you Dan. All right, and by the
look at you taking this fucking it's like exactly, it's
like cannabis porn.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
Imagine working with them to open up a big like
gallon and.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Everybody wants your scratches sniff pictures, and you're just like, oh,
I got this.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
I got to figure you know what, that's good weed marketing.
We need to you and I will figure out how
to do that. A sniff you can.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Get the turps and everything else. Right, So tell me
what you got going on?

Speaker 6 (14:22):
All so my I have my own journey with cannabis
and how I got introduced this in terms of as
a release. Now for me, I was a crazy kid
in my twenties and didn't believe in seatbelts. So I
was driving in Boston flipped the car crushed down on
the roof, I ping ponged around, so my back was
was jacked up for years, like lugging equipment for photography.

(14:46):
It was so in the morning, I would get up
and I would literally have to sit on the floor,
cross leg just to put my socks on. So I was,
you know, trying to do research on uh can babis
alleviation from pain. But other than that, one of the
many things that I was using to deal with that

(15:07):
pain and some other stuff was alcohol. Now I'm five
years sober, congrats, thank you. But I did way back
in the day I was I was doing you know,
my research on you know, cali sober and all that,
and try to figure out ways to so I literally,
you know, hadn't smoked in years. Had that one you
know experience literally changed my life. Never touched another drop.

(15:29):
But through that use of cannabis, my back pain has disappeared.
Like I have my medical cards still to this day
as well. I got it in Massachusetts, and back then
it was hard to get.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Them, like they didn't get like when the pandemic came,
they just gave them out.

Speaker 6 (15:43):
I actually had to sit down and do them so well,
a real thing.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
So with me.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
I took it seriously because they made me so I
really you know, I kind of have this belief it's
like the right medication for the right situation, for the
right duration. So with that, I know, like a sativa
like a durban poison or something like that is going
to help me in the morning with my routine.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
But I know, and I need to calm down at night.
Northern Lights is so for me.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
That's amazing. Err And then I love that because I'm
learning that now too. And it's funny, Daniel, you gave
me which I haven't even talked to you about, three things,
and one of them, which I wanted to talk to
you about, was really good that you gave me. And
I'm learning too as a sativa that he gave me
that I wanted to talk to him about because I'm
learning now to how they work because very similar stories.

(16:29):
I'm sure being sober air and me too. To congest
and ingest anything with TC is a situation that we
have to medically choose to do. That's a bigger step
for us as individuals who went in the program. If
you've done a program, then it's a different situation because
then you could use the term California sober, but I'm
not using flower. But if you are so be it.

(16:49):
I love the terms. I could relate. And I'm here
to say I don't judge anybody's program first off, for
me personally, especially for another program man. And I've crossed
that area of doing the different program. Why because I'm
using it. But I told my sponsor and I talk
about it openly and freely, so therefore I'm not hiding
it and I'm not using this for those who have
addictions in the closet and not talking about my usage.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
And you know what the amazing takeaway is is that,
like you know, cannabis allows for another it gives it
allows another way. Like Alan was talking about, you don't
need you know, opioids, I didn't need alcohol. It shows you,
you know, it allows you to be able to deal
with life, and it gives you an option. So that's
why you know, I believe in this mission because there
were so many things, so many people could be helped

(17:35):
if they smoke. I mean it just I mean it
would give them an option to really.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Or even just use any you know what I mean, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
Any kind of if they have just another option than
what they've been using currently, like come home and.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Use an edibles instead of a glass of wine. Right,
why wouldn't you just try to eat one of these?

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Right?

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I even say that, I'm talking to my wife, Well
why did you try what? You won't do that, but
try and eat this fifty milligram and ringing that like
see if you drop your shoulders a little bit.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
So wet. So we believe in this mission.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
So that's why you know with for isis and and
and the carousel, and the carousel is just our very
first product.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You know, we're gonna have to bring the carousel out here. Daniel,
can you bring that out here and talk to me
about this. I know he showed it, and I know
Allen has a bunch of them back there, but show
me how I'll bring it next to we're the adjustable,
and how we did that and do that put it
on top. Thank you, Daniel. Oh the wheels. This is
so easy to use. It looks like look at that spin. Oh,
let me play with that real quick. So first off, okay,

(18:34):
it soft metal, look light that you picked it. Oh
it's very light okay, but still feels durable. It spins
so easy. This is generation. This is more one. This
is bloom Carousel one point. Oh sorry, what are you saying? Ellen?

Speaker 5 (18:48):
It's made of steel, so that lets it be durable
without being super heavy.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Feel strong like wow, yeah it's it feels durable but
yet light, but it doesn't feel like when I grab
it right here, like I can break it.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
I think it's twenty two pounds and again just really
quickly now. And this is the first generation. So I
got the very first one, Alan, Do you want to
talk about some of the upgrades for.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
The Yeah, your model.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Absolutely so he's starting as a like put it here
when it's barely developing.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
That's actually the first prototype. We got five into the
first wave, and I sent one to Aaron for photography
and some out to some other folks to test. The
ones behind me are the Mark twos that have improvements
based on things we learned in that one. Okay, like
you'll notice, is a little bit of a wobble, so
I improve the bearing to tighten that up. We did

(19:49):
some improvements the engineering of the cage itself to improve
its durability, and then that led to the changes that
are going to lead into.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
The final product, which is always great right as you're
building this and this whole developments coming. You're learning as
you spend the time, Alan, do okay, I can do this.
You get a couple of feedbacks, I see what can
make that better? Make this better. It's part of the
evolution of coming up with something.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Can I just say and I'll hand it off to Allan.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
Allan cares about the user experience, and that's what if
it's not. We're trying to put this thing together and
throw it out exact. Literally, we have our testers that
that are growers that are testing, and he wants to
know what their feedback is, what points that wee get,
how we can improve it. Literally those go to so
when it comes it's going to be completely dialed in
one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
That's awesome. So as you do this, Alan, how many
people then are you using the R and D this.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
It's a pretty tight group. Prototyping with tree is a
fairly involved process, and so even getting waves of like
five six samples at a time is fairly involved. So
I sent the first wave out to Aaron and to
some people Trek a Zeus. He posts suddenly in almost
every day with his grow he's out in Arizona. He

(21:05):
has back issues, and he said it's totally alleviated the
concerns and the stress. You know, it makes it a
lot easier for him to deal with his bro I'm
gonna be sending in a whole bunch of them and
then your future to pimp out his whole grow Like.
I've got this tent right here. As Aaron mentioned, this
is the prototype. The final product actually comes to some

(21:26):
things you don't see here. There's a water retention tray.
Oh really, and that here I will grab those, y'all.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Just hang out there, we go. We see it on
the screen right now, way to go.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
I have one, but it's not current. We've already upgraded the.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Is that the one that we're looking at on the screen.
Is that the new one?

Speaker 7 (21:43):
No?

Speaker 4 (21:43):
That is the first generation?

Speaker 5 (21:44):
Go ahead, Ellen, here's the Okay, pulls a gallon plus
of water. It's gonna come with three cloth pots, A one, three,
and five so you can up pot as you need to. Yeah,
And it's gonna come with two nets and they're gonna
be better than the ones you saw there. That's one

(22:04):
of the improvements we made was to increase the and
the tightness of the nets.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Right there, they're not supposed to say.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
I like the nets so too. It's it's a cool
feature as far as you know. Reminds me of just
holding things in place and letting it grow and then
you just kind of grow through that and hold it
and then grow up higher.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
And on the new nets.

Speaker 6 (22:22):
So this I actually put it here because they actually fit.
Excuse me, but they'll be able to clip this net
onto anywhere on the adjust the height. This is just
kind of where they are at the top and bottom,
but you'll be able to adjust them anywhere as you're
the height changes.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
On the That's great. You could just keep growing them
straight up like that.

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Oh this yeah, and it keeps each plant contained. You
can do a scrug and do a sixteen branch grow
and put one branch up through each well and keep
that really tight and still get sixteen really solid colas
out of that.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
And how much weight do you think you're growing? What's
the do you guys have that down of how much Wait,
this thing's performing yet.

Speaker 5 (23:04):
I'm setting up my grow now. I popped a couple
of seeds on Sunday, so they'll be going into smaller
pots probably this weekend, maybe next week and I'm setting
up for a continuous grow where I pop two seeds
every three weeks or so oh, so that I can
harvest two plants every three weeks down the road.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
I think this is phenomenal and I just want to
give a shout out, So please follow Alan nerdy Berner
on TikTok. So literally what he's doing is walking the
average viewer through how to pop seeds, ten to do
everything from the beginning everything, because literally what we want
to do, it's not just solely for individuals who are

(23:48):
mobility challenge. We want to literally help everybody grow better weed.
So whether it's to be able to access the back
of your plant in a small grow tet. You know,
Alan had on one of its grows, he had an
issue with russmold and you can't identify it or treat it.
If it's in the back of your plant, you can't
see it. So basically every offering that we want to

(24:08):
put out is to help people grow better weed and
grow more without and just the fact that you're able
to spin it, you're never actually reaching through the plant,
so you have to cut down on contamination. Like Alan said,
he broke one branch that was ten grands. You don't
have to deal with breaking, so you're able to just
do what you need and leave it alone. So that

(24:31):
yield is going to grow, you know.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
And it seems and it's light. It's convenient. It's able
to grow your plants all up in one. You can
treat them so naturally and talk to them and love
them and play with them and talk to them so easily.
I think this is brilliant. Not only that, I really
like this for your home grower, which I think is
the most important part in my opinion, because you could

(24:53):
put this in your grib me, your closet, Like I
look at this and I think of my.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Boy under the stairs.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
This is the old school. And not only that, start
growing this at home, folks, and watch his tiktoks because
Alan's gonna teach you how to do it. And you
could use this and do it all from home. Just
follow Alan on TikTok Nerdy burner nerdy And where do
they go and get this? What are we looking at
right here? What is this right here that we're looking
at on the screen? Is it TikTok r oh? That's

(25:21):
his TikTok page right there. So if you're watching on YouTube.
He's very basically describing everything on the TikTok page. So
go there and check that out. That's really cool, Daniel.
I like that. As the water comes from the roof
right here. Yeah, I'm getting leaked on right here? Is

(25:42):
it rained? Upside? Is it rain? Well it shouldn't, it
shouldn't be. Just this guy is falling over here.

Speaker 6 (25:49):
Oh boy, I heard things go crazy in California when
it rained, So I don't.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Know, you know, it's really funny yesterday rain cli. How
is this just leaking out of nowhere? To put a
copy cup right here and just like start thattting to
feel I feel like it's gonna all fall on me
in any second. Now, at least we have the trust.
It's a little like catch a little bit. I just
really hope that if it does happen, we're rolling so
that we can catch one disaster, you know what I mean? Like, oh,

(26:17):
let's see that. Well, you gots take a break real quick.
We're to come back. We're gonna find out what the
hell that word meant. At the beginning of the show,
all right, Parsis when we come back break, what is parisis?
It's cannabis talk one on one. We'll be wright back
down this with do you want to hear your name
counted out? Live on the Hill? Come on Penny Times.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Nineteen eighty.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Can't leave on the point mail.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Make sure you like, follow and subscribe to Cannabis Talk

cannabis show on the planet.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
You know what get Now back to.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
The number one cannabis show in the universe, Cannabis Talk

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Kelly of Texas, Fool of Rock, Spectrum epic structive products
containing CBD and CBG. It's a thirteen hundred other elementary
guys or naturally derive substances from the hamp of the planet.
Go check them out online Kelly Effects dot com. Varysis,
good Jack. Let's say rash on my skin. I don't
know if it's something my son has that I have
to go to the doctor for. But Alan and Aaron,

(27:21):
what the hell is this word? And what does it mean?
Before I look it up?

Speaker 5 (27:25):
So foristis is derived from Theophastus, the father of botany, And.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
The father of botany?

Speaker 5 (27:36):
He invented the science of horticulture.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Ah, so everything that okay, I named it foriystis because
that is derivative of its purpose.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
It exists to answer every question homegrowers and professional cultivators have.
It has been trained to take in any question from
a legal growth and process it. And that's anything you've
got an issue with, whether you need help setting up

(28:09):
a water system, nutrients system, soil chemistry. It can help
you with feeding programs. We partnered with King Solomon Nutrients
because they gave us total chemical transparency, and so we
fed that data into thiistis. So if you're using King
Solomon Newts internationally and in twenty two states medically, then

(28:30):
you can communicate with our AI and get information down
to the parts per million you can get it. It
does image recognition. It can take pictures of cannabis plants
and diagnose issues like help your underground, what kind of
mold you're dealing with, what kind of bugs you're dealing with,
is it ready to harvest? Do you have a nutrient deficiency?
How do you distinguish between a nutrient deficiency and a

(28:52):
fungal infection. It's answered thousands of users questions successfully. I've
had professional cultivators come in and try to like and
they've walked away satisfied.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
And how does one use this? Do they use?

Speaker 7 (29:09):
You?

Speaker 5 (29:09):
Come on our discord and for orisis will greet you
as a new user, and there's a free test interactions
channel where you can just ask it questions. We have
a subscription tier for folks who want to support what
we're doing at Rooted in Life that gets you a
private channel with additional perks and expanding context. I'm really

(29:30):
allowed to able to blow out what it does. One
of the cool things about the program, I'll mention our
silent partner, dark Angel, is the architect of the software.
It lives on my computer at home, and it allows
me to adjust the AIS response by your role in discord.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
What does that so?

Speaker 5 (29:52):
It means like the everyday users that come in have
a certain level of access, but my moderators and subscribers
and testers have a higher level of access, and then
my staff and incluting Arran here have a higher level
of access that can do all kinds of wonderful things
for the company.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
And so when we use this, I believe Daniel has
it pulled up right now, Like if we ask a question,
what physical attributes will my cannabis plant display when ready
to harvest. Is that something we can just ask it
and we punch it in there.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Yeah, she just did. And so that's one of the
cool things. Is I get to see in real time?

Speaker 2 (30:30):
And are we doing that right now? Question?

Speaker 5 (30:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:34):
And it's answering right now as we're speaking. What is it?
Can you you're pulling it out other Connor read it
on the mic because I can't see it from my eyes.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
So please right now it says it's typing because it's
composing its answer.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah, we gotta wait for it to get back to us. Okay,
So explain to me then what Daniel did, because Daniel,
did you do that from your end? Or did he
do it from his end? Like, explain to the listener
how they can utilize us. Okay, So o, Daniel, do
you know our connor? Do you understand what he did?

(31:06):
You don't know?

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Not I do, Daniel, tell me and what you did?
Bring up his micro quickly so we can tell the
listeners exactly how they can utilize us.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
So essentially, if everybody's.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Ever used an AI platform like chat, g T or
anything like that, you would have essentially asked ask your
question in the format. So this is obviously it's like growing.
So what we did right now was.

Speaker 4 (31:34):
Just ask what physical attributes this planet.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Display, so right now that AI is generating usually and
it got us a response, and it does and what
does it say then can.

Speaker 8 (31:51):
So it came up with a whole bunch of bullet
points like subjects and the topics and then sub points
uh after that, and so yeah, tri cooma color and
clarity as a bullet point. Pistol changes, I'm pronouncing that correctly,

(32:14):
flower structure.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Leaf changes. So it breaks it down for you basically
health and vigor. So it just gives you the answers
to growing cannabis and helping with the quart culture because
this is the stuff that should be sold and not told.
This is the game. This is what you're paying people for,
right So now, Alan, exactly, Let's try another one. How

(32:41):
could I balance the red oxygen levels within my cannabis grow?
Let's ask a question like that that some people may
be having to deal with, especially if somebody has something
in their closet like I grew up. I remember my
boy little Rich had it in his closet. And that's
what makes me think about like a home grow where
if you're looking at the home. How do we know

(33:01):
that we used to be a big thing the oxygen
coming in there. So I believe you typed it in
and sent it in there. Daniel thumbs up. You just
are she doing it right now, typing it in right
now when you press in so.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Just really quickly, but while he's doing that.

Speaker 6 (33:15):
But one of the reasons why is that, you know,
Alan wanted to ask grow questions and you know, at
points people deem them not important enough to answer. And
our vision with and our mission with fortis is that
every question deserves an answer, whether it's basic, whether it's advanced.

(33:35):
Because if you go on to grow for them and
ask something really basic, they're gonna laugh at you or
not just answer it at all. But you can literally,
so I could take a photograph and upload it to
fristis and it will say how is my plant doing?
And it will tell you, oh, just healthy, just by
the picture, oh it's healthy. It will identify pests. I

(33:56):
don't know if you heard Alan say that, so it
can identify you have whatever aphids or whatever.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
But you literally equill.

Speaker 6 (34:02):
Tell you, okay, well, I'm noticing by the curling of
the leaves that it could be x y and Z
and to remediate that problem, you can try these.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
So that's why you guys are eliminating the fact that
your grow could mess up. This is basically putting insurance
on your grow. If you want to make sure you
grow a grow and all the money that you're putting
into it, you might as well use this type of
program that rooted intellectus.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Doah, And that's that's forristis right there?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
And what did we get when you say, how can
I balance the red oxygen levels within MicroC cannabis grow?
What kind of answer do we have? Connor?

Speaker 8 (34:38):
All right, we have adjusting the red light spectrum?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Oh my answer went away. Hold on there it is.

Speaker 8 (34:46):
Lighting systems use grow lights that have adjustable spectrums or specifically.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
And this is well described. Daniel, there is You're right.
This is the you know, chat GP T whatever for cannabis.
This is awesome and it's the first of its kind.
This is really cool that you come up with this,
Alan and Aaron, I love what you guys are doing.
Let's do the next one, which is can my cannabis
plant be refeminized after turning into a hermurphadite? Hermaphrodite, which

(35:20):
is making me feel like a hervert.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
How to pronounce that, Aaron.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Donut guy, I didn't see you cruising the fucking streets.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
I've seen you on a fucking Hollywood boulevard. I'm ripping
down the street. I still remember Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I'm not giving nobody ride. No magazine. I was up
getting magazine.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
What dog, That's exactly what I was thinking about. And
even when I read that, I thought, that's so funny.
You could tell her the same age, because that's exactly
what I was thinking about.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
I wanted to read some magazine, I know what, And
everybody forgot about all that.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
You know, it just gets under the rug like, oh
we forgot? What does it say? You guys? That's a
side note of humor or humor? But what do we
have as an answer? Connor h We got the key point,
Leddy Murphy, key points regarding.

Speaker 8 (36:16):
Its own touch to it, key points regarding uh, it's
small for me.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Too, hermaphrodite, Oh small for you?

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (36:28):
Uh, Stress inducers genetic factors, and then there's management strategies
remove male flowers.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
So bottom line, you got to just give it information
that should be sold and not told. And you guys
really helping out the community and the cannabis world to
really help make people create and bring good cannabis to
their life. Are any who's growing it professionally? But this
is great from your home grower to your professional growers

(36:59):
because it helps you from beginning to end.

Speaker 6 (37:01):
It will walk you along the process. So you literally
upload your photos how's it going? And you keep yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Are you guys storing all this information? Ellen? How is that?
What are you guys doing?

Speaker 7 (37:12):
Tully?

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Dark Angel's really big on privacy. So while the stuff
that's chattered on discord is there because it's for reference
for people, you know, what runs through my server is not.
I don't store any images. I don't store any of
the chatter, and that's to protect everybody's privacy.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
I like that. Yeah, but let me ask you this.
Are you gathering the information though, so that you could
use anecdotal evidence of what those plants look like, and
then storing this compared to how somebody else plant look
like and the turnaround of look what this did, Look
what our advice did, and then being able to show
somebody the differences.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
Oh, of course, But I actually reach out to the
users themselves and ask them first if they're comfortable with
their discord handle being in the screen.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Thought that I use, yeah, because I think that'd be
so cruel. That'd be so key to show people like,
look how we've helped people, because I could see you
guys being such an asset and helping so many people
out there that I would love to see testimonials.

Speaker 6 (38:15):
A professional grower, so they'll be able to have their
own like once they get access to But it's basically
just to to provide thoughtfully designed products to help everyone,
and you're catching.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
It earlier, hopefully before it ruins your prop. Is there
anything that you guys are noticing that is a common
thread that you guys have seen so far from pictures
or questions that since we've done this, we've known this
to be the more common problem.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
Yes, actually, and it resulted into partnership. So one thing
I noticed is that people get these liquid nutrients and
there isn't a lot of information about what's in them.
Tells you how much nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, etcetera. But do
you really know what's in that liquid? And the problem

(39:08):
is that your feeding your plant this and forisis is
trying to figure it out and it's like, okay, but
there's some ambiguity here, right, And so started looking for
partners and this is how we found King Solomon Nutrients
because he was willing to provide one hundred percent of
the chemical data. Total transparency then fed right into the AI, right,

(39:31):
so that if you're using those nudes, it doesn't have
that problem. It knows exactly what you fed it. And
I'm designing a grow lug so fisis can take images,
but it can also take text files and spreadsheet files.
So if you're keeping like a detailed data driven grow,
you can feed that information to it so that if

(39:52):
something crops up, you can provide it with all of
that information. We have a prompt guide that it links
you to when you orient going to the orientation channel,
there's a link there because there's a difference between an
OK prompt and an amazing prompt.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Right.

Speaker 5 (40:08):
An OK prompt is like when you guys asked about
the red oxygen, there isn't anything called red oxygen, right,
and it was very quick to say, hey, there's nothing
like that, right, because it didn't recognize the information.

Speaker 7 (40:18):
Right.

Speaker 5 (40:19):
A better prompt is like, here's a picture of my plant,
what do you think is going on with it. That's
a pretty good one, right. A great prompt is here's
a picture of my plant where I circled this beef
because I'm concerned about these yellow spots that I see.
Here's my feeding schedule, here's the runoff pH, here's the
ec I conducted a soil slurry test based on the

(40:41):
protocol you gave me. Here's the data from that. Based
on all of this, what do you think is going on?

Speaker 2 (40:46):
So the more accurate question you ask it, the better
advice you'll get in return.

Speaker 5 (40:52):
Yeah, And it's designed to scale the response by the
sophistication of the questions, so that to the layperson will
sound like a college professor, because I deem not to
be about the limited complexity before it starts to get
to be too much for people. But if you're like
a plant geneticist or a botanist, it'll I don't know
where the limit is to be honest.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Yeah, Well, I always think Alan and Aaron, I think
it's fair to say to the listener and even everyone
in general. I like to preach to a lot of
my staff that as long as you give me the who, how,
what's and whens, we should be able to figure things out.
And I think that goes to even what your guys
are doing. Give me the who, how, what's when? And

(41:32):
what you're looking at and these are the facts, and
then we might be able to give you the answer
in return, because if you can give me that in
a articulate way, I would think your AI should be
able to articulate the answer. So as the user using anything,
even speaking to your spouse, give the who, how, what when,

(41:53):
so that person can give you the answer back. And
that's what I feel like, is what's going on here?
Is that fair to say?

Speaker 5 (42:00):
Absolutely? What Aaron hinted at about the gateke can gate
keeping of information is a very real phenomenon. Like you said,
you'll have to pay for this information. No, they don't.
I mean, if you want to subscribe to a service
it's ten bucks a month, you can ping it an
unlimited number of times. Nobody should have to pay more
than that for this information period. It's all well established

(42:24):
agricultural practices.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Well, I love it, Alan and Aaron, you guys are
doing a whole bunch for this community and I appreciate it.
We'd like to do the high five with all the
guests that come on the show. As we do the guests,
we'll ask the question. It'll be the same question for
both of you. Alan you'll answer first, and then Aaron
you'll answer the same question right after. Question number one,
How old are you the first time you smoked cannabis

(42:47):
and where'd you get it from?

Speaker 5 (42:49):
Seventeen? Got it from a friend.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
So were you at school? Were you seventeen? A young graduate?
Senior year? Seventeen? Nice junior year? Oh j okay, I
like that. What about you.

Speaker 6 (43:04):
Minus complicated? Well, I used to be a straight edge
kid in seventh grade and I would stand with all
the smokers, So I would stand while they I wouldn't
take any rips, but I would stand there all morning
and we'd be like blowing it in my face. So
I guess that doesn't count. So the time I actually
really did it would be I guess probably like fifteen

(43:27):
for real, fourteen fourteen.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Fourteen for real? Like okay, let me Hearah like, yeah, purposeful,
I'm gonnaing there and having people blow in my mind. Well,
I just want to drill. It's so it's always fun.
Question number two of the High five, what is your
favorite way to use cannabis? Selling?

Speaker 5 (43:45):
Freshly ground flower through absolutely clean glass for maximum filtration.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
That just sounded so clean and good and I borderline
tasted that right there, and I just looked at Connor
as Connor as a glass man himself. He has his
bong probably right under him right now as we speak.
I wish, oh, it's not under you. I think you're
pulling it out.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
You're reaching for it right now.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
I don't have it.

Speaker 4 (44:07):
I sy.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Oh what about you?

Speaker 7 (44:11):
Erin?

Speaker 4 (44:12):
All right? See now I feel like little class mine is.

Speaker 6 (44:14):
I just love to grind up buds and stuff them
in a cone and just a couple of king sized cones.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
There it is, sit out and just bang it out there.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
It is.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
It's just simple.

Speaker 6 (44:22):
It's good when it's winter time in the Northeast, I
rush throughom and when it's summer then I get to
feel it and take my time and nice ritual and
just yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Fill up the cone and enjoy it.

Speaker 6 (44:33):
But it's just literally the act of taking that time
to sit and smoke it, the ritual music and just yeah,
because it forces me to unplug.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
I just got a new grinder. I gotta give it
to him. Where's that grinder that I have? Give him
a new grinder that I just got my grinder. Aaron
needs a new one. Question number three of the high
five craziest place you ever used cannabis or smoked.

Speaker 7 (44:52):
Allen, I can't get into that online because I like
my passport.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Ah, Okay, well, let's just say it was a long
time ago legend.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Yeah, let's just say I had some California blue dream
in a place you're not really supposed to be able
to get it or have it.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Okay, things like that happen fair enough, you know. I
like that. What about you erin?

Speaker 6 (45:21):
Uh well, see, I'm a microdos sir, So I smoke
all the time, so it could be anywhere.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Just anywhere, like whatever. I just take a little bit
here in there, eat a little bit here or whatever.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
You know.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
Yeah, but I guess the right medication situation duration.

Speaker 6 (45:38):
I might need a little pick me up during this
time when I need to just you know, be up.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
So yeah, I agree. There's nothing like a good edible
in the morning, afternoon, and night. In my opinion, it
keeps your body right, just keep it in system. You
don't need to be high, Nope, you just need to
be medicating. You're just like looser everything exactly. Question number
four of the high five with rooted intellect, what is
your go too munchies? After you got a little too high, Alan,

(46:05):
You're like, I want to put this in my tummy.

Speaker 5 (46:09):
Oh, definitely a cold bowl cereal?

Speaker 2 (46:11):
What kind of cereal? Cereal?

Speaker 4 (46:14):
I hit the.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
Variety pack man. We probably have ten different boxes up.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
So the little ones, the little bucks, and you like
go through three of them when you're nice and ripped, Like,
oh yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
Can go through some of those good ones.

Speaker 5 (46:24):
Sends on the mood man.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
Cereal is always a good time though. What about you?

Speaker 6 (46:28):
I like anything sweet, so sweet and salty, so anything
sweet so glazed, doughnuts like Parisians, barbecue chips, doritos, anything any.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Big o' snack bunch. But let's go to seven eleven.
Question number five with a high five. You guys, if
you can smoke cannabis with anyone dead or alive, who
would it be? And why?

Speaker 5 (46:53):
Allen snoop dog? Because on the plastic beach, push Keith,
push peace and keep it in motion.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
Push piece and keep it in motion.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Wow, how come you remember that line that he said?
That's a nice line.

Speaker 5 (47:12):
It just stuck with me. Man An need Moore of
that in the world.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Isn't that funny when a guy like Snoop can say
something like that and you remember it for the ever
and like and that's the reason why you want to
smoke with him, because he said something like that random
and you know, Alan remembers that and probably where he
was when he remembers it. I love that. That's like
a cool Alan's story of your reason why I loved
hearing that because, like so many people, hear things from
people and how they hear it is how they hear it, right,

(47:36):
Like Gretchen Wilson redneck woman. I love that lady because
she's representing these white women who are redneck women, you know,
And for that reason, I love her, just like he
said he loves Snoop because of setting the piece for
that reason, because I'm a red woman. I ain't no
hot class broad. It's so queer. But I love it

(47:58):
when somebody says something that's say to you, and that's
what she did and stuff with me. It's Snoop said
some that's stuck with Alan, So I appreciate it. Alan
erin what about you?

Speaker 6 (48:08):
Mine would be probably uh see, I'm gonna go like
brainy mine would be the writer James Baldwin, and I
would like to get in a room with him. I'd
like to get in a room with Bob Marley and
God and the four of us just have like a
hot box session.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Oh can you imagine just singing a redemption song to
that little group right there? Oh pirates, Yes they Rabbi
