(00:22):
of calls from people from all walks of life, and
today I want to share some of those wonderful calls
with you. Hi, good evening, Welcome to the Delilah Show.

My name is Betty.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I would like you to dedicate a song to my
friend that I'm extremely, extremely fond of. My husband passed
away three years ago and his wife passed away about
six years ago, and we kind of got together and

(01:09):
I didn't want to be in any type of relationship
because I really wasn't over my husband and he did.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I do.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Now. I'm very fond of him, and I would just
like you to dedicate something special.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
What's his name, Bettie?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Steve?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
So are you and Steve dating? Are you talking? Are
you texting? Where are you at in your relationship?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
We're kind of like, that's the best friend.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
We're in the friend zone. But has there been any
kissing going on? Lately, like is he attracted to you
to have an affectionate relationship or are we just best friends?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
We're best friends, but we're slowly getting to a better relationship.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
All Right, I will find a song that says I
think I'm ready to take a chance on love.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yes, I think I am.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Let me see if I can't help you out.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Oh, thank you so much, Delilah.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Thank you, Betty. You have a great night. You sound
like you have a lot of life, a lot of
love to give. And I'm hoping if this is the
person that God has chosen for you to share these
coming years with, that he will realize just how sweet
you are.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I hope so too.

What is her name?

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Catherine.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Back in the day, if she was in Venezuela and
you were here, you would just have to, you know,
hear each other's voice on the phone. But now you
can look her in the eyes on FaceTime exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
And even back in the day when I came here
to America, my father sent me a letter. So I'm
that kind of that kind of old.

Speaker 5 (03:44):

for my girlfriend.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Dad about nineteen years ago the day. And there's a
certain song that he liked that she was one, or
if you could play for her?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
So she's hit with the anniversary blues. Yeah, it's so weird, how,
even after all these years, when an anniversary like that hits,
At least for me. I can't speak for your girlfriend,
but for me, it feels like it's happening all over again,

(05:10):
and your brain goes into that how do I stop it?
How do I fix it? What do I do? There's
got to be something I can say or do. It's
it's weird.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, But there's a certain song she was wondering if
you could play for her that he loved hearing?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Which song is that?

Speaker 6 (05:26):
It's freed with Arms Wide Open?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh, such a beautiful song. Was he the kind of
daddy that loved with Arms Wide Open?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah, all right, tell me how much you love this?
Woman that's that's riding with you tonight more than anything,

and I'm one semester away from graduating with my second
college degree. I have two beautiful daughters, two wonderful grandchildren,

(06:32):
and my life I don't have a husband. I haven't
had a man in my life in over twenty years.
And it's okay because I am pursuing everything that I
want to do, and I am satisfied with who I
am and where I am in life. I just don't
understand how people can feel that they're not enough.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
You know who feels like they're not enough?

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Well, you were talking about that woman who is who
you had spoken with or had gotten an email from
a little while ago on the Stay on the Air,
you were talking about a though she would never be
able to fulfill her dreams and with somebody else was
the reason for it.
