You got to that we including the kids and you
know what I mean, we letting them get get it early.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
I think that I think that you know, those handouts,
you know, I think we come from a long line
of you know, well I had to do it the
hard way. You gotta do it the hard way, right.
We come from a long line of that, as opposed
to Okay, I did that, so you don't have to
do that, but you are going to have to do this. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Now we have to start creating a different type of
generational wealth.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
A different type of generational.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Wealth, right because we've had we've had a wealth of
a lot of things that aren't lucrative in the positive way.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Talk about it, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
We have a lot of wealth of violence, a lot
of wealth of trauma, a lot of wealth of a
lot of foolishness. Let's now create the wealth of success,
you know what I mean, as we continue to pass
that on to our kids.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
And I love that.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I love the fact that Blue Ivy has a Grammy
love that, you know what I'm saying, And that that
that Hazel Monette has a nomination. It's what it should
be though, you know what I mean? That that was
Stevie Wonder's daughter on Isn't she lovely?

Speaker 1 (07:47):
You know what I mean? So it's like, you know,
I'm glad that's something that's you know who the winner
on this one was the winner on PJ Morton features
Good Morning, Yes, Yes, Shout out to our brother peach Fire,
super Fire Record Best R and B Album, Babyface Girls,

(08:08):
night Out. I love that album. Coco Jones. What I
didn't tell you? Deluxe del you know Deluxe is there,
Emily King, Special Occasion, Summer Walker, Clear Too, Soft Life EP.
Soft Life is kind of a bar. That's where the
girls are now. Victoria Money Jaguar two, which was the winner.

(08:35):
Shout out to Victoria Money. Put in the work. She
put in the work, in work. They understand how long
how long it took for her to get here. Yeah,
that was a real process. Like, this is not overnight.
A lot of you that are new to the Discovery
is just dancing now to own my mama. You have

(08:58):
no idea, you know what I mean? And so this
is like, this is real. This is rooted in the
real foundation of you know, blood, sweat and tears, real foundation. Nothing.
This isn't a TikTok. You know, I've overnight sensation. This
is I.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Met Victoria at least fifteen years ago for the first time.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Bro, we we used to be. I'm talking about yeah,
one bedroom apartment, one bedroom. Yeah, it might have been
a loft in there, but the folks show just one bedroom. Yeah.
I was like, okay, all right, you're gonna you're gonna
you're gonna get somewhere. I'm telling you. She got a
lot of bedrooms. Now, yeah, she got the big house.

(09:42):
Yeah yeah, I've seen it on the Instagram, so I
seen it. You know, you know, you know the sound travels. Yeah,
you know. Shout out to big Man. So awesome, so awesome.
Let's go the best new artists. Okay, because that was

(10:03):
that was a dope one. Coco Jones, Gracie Abrams, Yes, yes, yes,
Fred again Ice Spice, Jelly Row, Jelly Row. Noah, I
don't want to say that wrong. I'm gonna say Noah, Kahan.
I'm gonna it could be ka Han k Han, just
con or just Khan ship. Take a look.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
It's in up book reading Boo, I can do anything. Uh,
Victoria Mone the War and treaty.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
The war entreaty. I'm not sure if you're tapped into
them yet. I am not.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
They are so cold. I gotta get they are so cold.
It's a husband and wife team. And the husband, from
my understanding, was like a war vet. I want to
say he was in the military, and they're special.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
They're special. M I gotta give real talk special. Yeah. Well,
the winner was Victoria Money. We talked about it. Yeah,
large hallways, many bedrooms sound and this is what I'll
say about that too.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I don't know anybody else's path, all of the other
artists that are in it, for sure, I can only
attest to her of me seeing it, you know, as
a first look direct to her, and I just I
commend her for not giving up because you know, I say,
I've said it multiple times. I think that the difference
between being successful and not being successful and whatever you do,

(11:47):
it's just not giving up. And she is literally the
proto type of not giving up.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Like she did not give up.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
I've seen her go through all fase is of the
music business and it never knocked her down or never
was like you know what, this ain't it for me?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
And she had a great album on on the original Jaguar, Yeah,
and COVID happened, all these things been cooking. Can just
can hear that?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
And I don't you know, And this is another thing.
I don't know the criteria of when you can't be
considered a new artist, but I do know this is
her first.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Major label album.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
I don't know how that goes because you know, I
saw some of the people in the chatter of Oh, well,
how is she best new artists?

Speaker 1 (12:41):
She been out? Well, I don't know how that goes
m personally because are the other ones albums that has
to be considered an album in order for you to
be our mixtapes, right, So that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
I don't know how that goes, but looked at it,
she's very deserving in my opinion, love that award.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
We also got some R and B in uh in
the Song of the Year. I believe with all these
you know, Billy Eilish, what was I made for Monster record?
Dua Lipa Dance to Night? John Baptiste Butterfly, He's just

(13:22):
dumb talent. He just like him like a w mighty
Cyrus Flowers loved that song. Incredible. Olivia Rodrigo Vampire. He
always gonna act like he knows man to say it
the right way. Baby, definitely just I don't know Bill

(13:50):
and Taylor's with Anti Hero And that winner was Billie Eilish.
Great record, great record, It's an R and B record.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
I'm still fighting and this is why in this category
I'll say this kill Bill in my opinion, is one
of the best written songs I've heard in my life,
in my life, it scares me. No, no, listen as
a man, it scares me because I believe this is

(14:28):
my thing of how you should to me.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Once again, subjective opinion.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
All these things are the way I rate music is
how it makes me feel, of course, not how it
makes nobody else feel.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
How it makes me feel.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
And like I said, this record feels like a thriller
to me because of what she's saying and how it
all ties in and the emotion she evokes from what
she's going through. And truth for the matter is think
about really what she's saying. It should not be a

(15:07):
pop hit. You don't think that it would be a
pop hit. She's talking about killing something, she's about double murder.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
You gotta put them down sometimes.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
No, you don't. Don't kill the X and his new girl.
Like just I would say get over it, but that
that song just holds a different a different type of
space for me because I just know how I felt
when I hear it, or how I feel when I

(15:37):
hear it, And to me, that makes it where I
don't think nothing should be a record like that to me.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
To me, you know when I'm with you and when
I heard it, I thought it was. I thought it
was of course creative genius. I thought the way it
was written was just amazingly done. It still felt like
it still felt cute to me, though, cute because it's
still felt because it's still a bright it's kind of dark.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
I get it, and that's probably why it's worked so well.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
It has the dark under disguised, yes, under the under
the sesame streets, like we're just like, I'm gonna kill Mack,
But what did you say? That's why it's so fucking
great to me, I think. But when I heard that,
when I heard that what was I Made for? I was,
I was. I was moved like I was like I was,

(16:35):
I was stuck listening to the record. I was stuck
and I was like this tone, of course melody and
of course the words like it's just it's it's like,
I mean, especially no, you can't, you can't.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
I'm just saying my personally, my personal pick would have
been killed Bill, because I just I feel that, you
know that record is level for me.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Album of the Year. Mm hmm mm hmm. There was
there was you know, there's people in there. We're gonna
go straight there, we'll go out let's go. Let's no, No,
let's go, let's go. Let's have it, Let's have it,
get it, let's get to it. Let's get to year.
Uh Boy, Genius the Record, Janelle Monet, Age of Pleasure,
John Baptiste, World Music Radio, Lina del Ray. Did you

(17:25):
know that there's a there's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard
that's fire? Uh Manley Cyrus, Endless Summer Vacation, Olivia Rodrigo, Guts,
sizz A s o S. Taylor Swift, Midnights Winter Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
I don't agree, not for me, for me once again,
for me, Yeah, you know what I mean. I think
it was a great album. Did I feel like it
was album of the year. No, because once again I
felt like Sis had album of the Year.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
To me, I felt like Sissa had so many standouts, right,
that has to ultimately lead to the best body of
work if you have that many call out records from
an album like my kid, my daughter is Siss a

(18:25):
fan club times a thousand from this this this album.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah gone, yeah, no, she she she did something, She
did something amazing with this with this project. It's a
full project and she really like you could you could
feel what she was going through this whole album and
just the way it's written and it's not and you know,

(18:51):
you know me, I'm I'm an advocate for all things
R and B, but it's not fully just an R
and B not at all.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
It's hip pop, R and B pop. It's everywhere it has,
but it's cohesive.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
It's like she doesn't lose herself within this album where
it's like, oh, I'm just trying to make all these
people happy.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
I'm just like, no, this is just who I am.
They don't even think this conversation is even against Taylor.
I think Taylor made a grill. She makes great music.
But I think what this album did for Sissa and
where it placed Sissa in the conversation overall as a
world superstar speaks to the weight that that album holds,

(19:33):
you know what I mean? Like, I think we've we've
we've seen we've seen Taylor in stadiums for good a
little while now, we've seen at the top of the
charts for quite some time now. She's been in the
world music dominance conversation for for quite a while. But this,
the weight of this Scissor album propelled her into a
whole other world, the three of that conversation.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
No, she up there, she's when you mentioned now from
this and listen, people can say what they want, but
now when you mention the top women in music, because yeah,
she's absolutely in the top artist too, for sure, but
women have been kicking everybody's ass. And when you women,
I mean when you when you mentioned women, she's in there,

(20:17):
when you mentioned Rihanna, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Sizza has now
entered that conversational. And that's tough. That's it's really hard
to get into that space. The weight of that album
and that's what that album that album, and that's why
for me, it's like, yeah, the power of that album
can thrust you into that right. Shout out the top

(20:38):
dog entertain Shout out to that, Shout out to top dog,
Shout out to Punch, Shout out to those amazing young
black men.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Huh doing the thing? I want to say, those two
artists out there, and songwriters and producers and an rs

(21:08):
and labels, it's a testament to taking your time in
doing something.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yes, yes, they be attacking my dog punch on Twitter.
They be attacking punch because they say punch. It be
holding up the albums. But that's great an RN. You
will get it when it's right. I forgot shout out
to Mixed by Ali too, because that that man is
amazing as an engineer in the mixer.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
You will get it when it's right. Yeah, yeah, and
the results are.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
I have to say, yeah, now you're in that space.
But while we're here, right, like, let's have a real
conversation about how these awards are won though, right because
we're going to talk about Album of the Year while
we're still at Album of the Year. And you know,
there was there was also the moment in the awards
where jay Z spoke on the fact that Beyonce don't

(22:01):
have no Album of the Years. And in my opinion,
the reason that that happens that a lot less urban
artists black yep don't have Album of the Years is
because everyone can vote on Album of the Year. And
what happens is now the disparity in how many voters

(22:25):
are black, are Spanish, are of color that really really
listened to urban music.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
It's an imbalance. It's an imbalance. Well, there was a
greater imbalance, it was absolute greater in balance before Harvey
came in.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yes, yeah, I want to say it went from like
eight percent, yeah, to twenty eight percent. And he's come
in and tried to since he's been the chairman chairman
to encourage more of us. Hey, man, get involved because
this is a voting process.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
No, I mean, I listen. I had to conversations with
Harvey and.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
With Alicia when Melisia was still at the Grammys, and
how adamant they were about more urban membership, you know
what I mean, and really going out there and advocating
for it and just even calling me like Jay. You know,
since you're a member, you can get to people, you
can give invitations and the members and you know what
I mean, And if you have enough, I don't know.

(23:24):
The exact thing is, you have to have certain a
certain criteria to be It's either be on an album
or it's not. Only even think it has to be
a Grammy nominated album, but I think you just have
to prove that you actually work in the music business
and can join theirs, be a and be a voting member.

(23:46):
And even for me, I've I've been an advocate over
the last few years of just telling people like yo, bro,
you got to join, you got to find out you
got to, you know, go go to the website, go,
you know, go to the Recording that academ your website
and try to figure out how to become a voting member,
because obviously, when you're voting on these type of awards,

(24:09):
if the numbers are like this, it's less.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Like that we really have a real chance.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Even when we have albums that should be listen that
should be album of the Year.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
I will say this, Beyonce should have at least two
albums of the Year.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
I agree dangerously in Love and Lemonade at least at
least at the least at the least.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
And I understand I understand jay Z's pain in his speech,
but I also felt like, if I'm being honest, you know,
I guess you're gonna articulate it however you feel. You know,
what's on your heart is, You're gonna drop it how
you feel it is what it is. But it was

(24:57):
I felt like Doctor Dre is standing there. This is
a Black Grammy, and we are giving you the Doctor
Dre Award for all the work that you've done, you know,
to speak everything that goes along with that, I don't
I don't know if if within that within the speech

(25:19):
or you know, with within him advocating, uh for the wife.
I don't know if I ever heard the thank you
in a sense for getting that type of award, a
doctor Dre award. I feel like him, him feeling that
the wife had been slighted kind of kind of stole

(25:41):
the moment of what that award was about.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
You heard Frank Lucas, you know you heard Frank Lucas.
You heard Denzel Washington. What does Zel Washington say?

Speaker 1 (25:50):
What do you say? What does it Washington say? Come on,
come on, come on, come on. De Zel Junior Jr.
What do you say he said a bunch of stuff
you got about his wife? What did Denzel say about
his wife in that movie? What you say they tried
to kill my wife when it's about your wife? Listen, listen,
the gloves are off. I understand, I understand. I'm not

(26:11):
saying I don't understand. We gotta protect our women. We
gotta protect our women. But it also had a double effect.
Right as he was as he's protecting her, he's it
felt like he was also killing the the weight of
everybody else's award, because it's almost like these awards ain't
ship kind of vibe, okay, which is what I kind

(26:36):
of got. So we also go back to a man
who you know, had to watch his genre of music
not get televised Grammys. I'm so in his wet.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
We gotta take we gotta take into account the lead
up of all these things. Like you said, I boycotted,
but I still watched it. It wasn't a great boycott, right,
but yeah, yeah, right, Like so this is a build up,
This is a This isn't just I made this decision tonight.
This is hey, man, this happened. Look what happened with

(27:11):
Will Smith? Look what happened? You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Like, and my question to you is this killing Mike
his award? We had to find out through texts. I
agree with you still, So my my question to you
is this, is that a conversation that should be had
with the the governing body of the Grammys. Is that
a conversation where you say, hey, I like to sit

(27:36):
down with you guys and try to understand X, Y
and Z and and and really you know, and get
to the bottom of what I feel is wrong with
this system, Right, I mean that that's definitely a way
to go about it, or is it? You know, I'm
just looking at the weight of the award. I'm such

(27:59):
a big Doctor Dre fan that if anybody's giving me
Doctor Dre anything, right, like, I thank you to doctor
Dre and for the for what the weight of this weight,
the weight of this award means to have this given
to me based on.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
He didn't say it the way you just said it,
but he did shout him out. He did shout out
Dre snoop. And you know what I'm saying, like he
did he did. He just said the way you just
said it.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Did you did you feel it? Though? Because what do
we you know me? I'm like, listen.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
If I'm jay Z, I'm a billion strong and I
got forty seven thousand grammys at the house. I want
to know why there's not an hour of a year
one up on the map.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
But think about where you're able to speak from at
a billion dollars forty eight grammys at the house, right right,
right right. But it's nothing more powerful to getting upon
that you put in front of all the people and
saying it, I get it, I get it. That's what
I'm say. It's two parts. It's it is you gotta
protect your speak up for you, There's no doubt about that.

(29:06):
But it's also it's also it's also going to come
at the expense of a few things. And I think
it was maybe at the expense of the weight of
the type of award he was receiving from doctor Dre
and at the expense like even I'll even throw I'll
even throw Miley Cyrus in there where it felt like
a piece of her. Was like, I mean, it's just
a grammy, and you know whatever. You guys are excited, Okay, good, fine,

(29:27):
And I'm like, we have Victoria Monet winning three. She
worked for that, and she Victorian one worked for that,
like hard, So it's just it's just a grammy. You
guys can be excited. I'm not. And I get that
some people may feel that way. But when you blanket

(29:49):
it like that in front of everybody, now it starts
to you know, matriculate down to everybody. Should I not
be excited, but.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Think that some people are just disruptors too. Drake is
a disruptor because Drake pretty much not even pretty much.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
He said he uses his as a doorstop. He did
you know what.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
I'm saying on record on Big Records you know what
I'm saying. So it's like and I'm just like, do
you do both? Do you accept the award and say yeah?

Speaker 1 (30:20):
And here's another doorstopper, God bless you what you show up?
If you fly, you pay a lot of money to
get here. If that's how you feel to come on
the award show to get the award that the voter,
that these people everybody stands is different and just to
say yeah, another door, another sippy cup, another yeah. And
the other part is or if it's that to you,

(30:42):
why show up?

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Because sometime you want to slap people with it, and
sometimes you know what I mean, sometime you want to
go and drink your Hennessy out of it, or you'll
do say because you have your own liquor, and you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Sometimes you listen on the other side of that, What
does that mean to those young those young producers, as songwriters,
singers and everybody else coming up? Who are here's a question, right,
if you don't believe in Santa Claus, right, I don't,

(31:13):
you're gonna be over somebody house that's celebrating Christmas and
getting their kids, helping their kids baked cookies for Santa
coming and the reindeer and leaving milk out and all
that stuff, and say, man, what the fuck y'all doing
the No goddamn Santa Claus and this motherfucker man they
bought all that motherfucking toys. Peel that shit off, man,
Ain't nobody are you gonna do that? Because I've definitely

(31:39):
done some wild ship when it comes to Santa in
my black household. These gets us from Daddy Nigga bought this,
surely me, that's who who?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
So yes, I felt like it had, But I also
do I also don't think which I haven't won a
Grammy and I want to. I I also don't think
it cheapens when I win. Mind, well, I know the
work I gotta do, and I feel like at one
point I'm gonna have my speech. Right, it doesn't cheapen

(32:12):
my Grammy at all. That one man drinks whatever he
drinks out of it, and another man used it as
a doorstop, and another young lady says, hey, I only
came here to see Mariah like that don't mean nothing
to me about that Grammy that I'm going to win, right.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
It's just is what it is, you know, And is
it a flawed system. It is. I believe that it's
a flaw system.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
But I also believe that's a part of why our
community has to get more involved.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Absolutely in the system, so we have somebody in the
system who's from our community trying to get us in
so we can balance it out.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I'm not even telling it that we need to get
in so we can be you know, seventy two percent
to their twenty eight. No, I'm saying, let's figure even
if it's fifty to fifty and its scales or even which.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Just life ain't like that, but let's just get in.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Let's get in so then you can really have an
opinion on it and say how you feel. Because I'm
a voting member, so I say how I feel, I
say what I voted for. I say what I would
have voted for if I could have gotten into multiple categories.
But you know, the whole thing now is you get
your categories that you can vote into the but the big.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Categories everybody can weigh in on.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Everybody can weigh in on that. And as another big
category that I want to shout out and I cannot
forget song Writer of the Year, my god t Ron.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
My brother, I just talked to him too. I said, man,
where's my records at? We was down in Jacksonville. Yeah,
I said, what are my songs at? He said, yeah,
we gotta get in there and just you know, we
do something together. I said, no, I just want songs.
I want your song. Your songs, man, man, and I'm
gonna tell you what I did, your song I did. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
First, I congratulated him, put him you know, on the story.
I called that man multiple times. He hit me, bro,
thank you Broever, no, no, no, no, no. I'm gonna call
you again because I need you to hear my voice
telling you congratulations.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
You did it. I love you, brother, I'm proud of you.
Give mm hmmm. I had to though.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
It was like Nigga, me and him play phone tag
for about a day and a half and we finally
got on the line.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
He sent me a voice no further cool, cool, cool, cool.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
I'm going to call you again because I know you're busy,
because Nigga, for this, you got to get that full congratulations. Bro,
you got to hear me tell it to you and
don't disappear. You know what, he ain't gonna different, He different,
He different. So that's why even him winning.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
He no, exactly, exactly, one of everybody proud. It's one
of us up there. I don't know what nigga I
was mad about. T Ron was all. We all took
a shot to that one. Yeah, yeah, one of our guys.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
And then we'll get to best Rap Album. You want
to go to rap album, Let's let me because because
that was a thing. That was a thing, killing Mike
winning and killing Mike being mid to late forties winning
Best Rap Album, which is considered you know, a young
man sport.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
If you listen to that album, that man is wrapping
his ass off. If you didn't understand it when he
got the award, I pray you win and did your research,
research to your research. I pray you went and listened
to that body of work. You know her Lily won

(35:48):
another Grammy being on that album. Right. I don't like Carolin.
It's the greatest bro. He's the great always somewhere, so
you just get always some we're doing something killer Mike
his album. Mm hmm. When I lift weights, killing Mike's album,

(36:12):
I break my gym. Mhmm, my gym breaks because he
put me in a mold. What what? And when I
say he he say, he say, because I was rapping
my ass off. He on there wrapping his ass off.
I don't know what y'all thought. This ain't no rapid rap.

(36:35):
Nigga say, this ain't no rapit rap that nigga spitting.
This ain't no rapidy rap. This ain't no vibe, This
ain't no way.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
He took his time. He took his time, real songwriting,
real songwriting.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
This is art. Yeah, this is a student of the game. Yeah, graduating.
Thing is bachelor's, that is masters, and then it's PhD.
This is that certified monster. If you you don't get that, man,

(37:14):
sp it's another rap Grammy. I want to.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
I want to shout out best melodic rap performance.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Who got that? Won by Little Dirk and j Cole
all my life? You know why I like that? You
know why I like that because I like that for Dirk.
I love that for Dirk. I like that for him
because of the message in that record. Yes, I like

(37:44):
him for winning for that that record, for that record, Yes,
for wanting to be something different, something wanting to be better,
to want to better himself.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
And so I spoke about this and in my in
my episode. Obviously you know it was a moment where
I spoke about me helping to discover Chief Keef. Little
Dirk was signed after that discovery to dev jam no

(38:17):
Id signed him right and he had his major record deal.
Nothing really came of it. They you know, however it
works out at labels. Little Dirt could have went away,
stayed at it, stayed at it when Independent stayed on
his grind, the mixtapes went crazy. Built all that up

(38:41):
ends up doing the deal with Alamo with Todd, and
then Juliet came over talk to talk and what they've
built and going after it and even just even being
in a situation where somebody will submit the label will
submit a record for because we didn't talk about that part,

(39:02):
like the submission of records labels have to your label
has to submit your records too, or you have to
see somebody in your team that's to submit your records.
And there's a campaign that's involved with people, the voting
members knowing you have this music out so that you
even get the nomination. So shout out to Alamo Records,
Shout out to Juliet for having you know, the the

(39:25):
for foreseeing it and having a you know what I mean,
her mind and in that place to say.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
You know what, this should be submitted, this should.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Be we should go after this Grammy Award winning record,
you know what I mean. And and hey, derk, it's
gonna be some some work that gotta get done because
everybody don't just know you.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Because that's the other space too.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Let's talk about that where bro, you have to it's
like anything, it's like running for office.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
No, it's not like running right, Like, you gotta go
campaign your records just to get the nomination because there
are there are there are divisions, you know what I mean.
There are territories. You know what I'm saying. It's East Coast,
there's West Coast, it's down south. And there are different
people that are running these different sector sections and sectors

(40:10):
of the different R and B I mean the different
Grammy regions. Yeah, that's the word. And so it would
behoove you, yes to go in campaign and campaign and
see all those people just to raise your hand say
hey guys, I got some cool stuff out managed want
to make sure it's on your radar. That's simple. And

(40:31):
then another another recipe that is too. When you're making
these albums, sit with all the people you're making the
album with, and make.

Speaker 2 (40:40):
Sure they're voting members voting, because you can vote for
yourself and if you know, especially in urban music, is
a reason why they've been on this whole thing where
they don't want to give out all those multiple Grammys
to all these you know, writers and producers that are
on R and B Album of the Year or which

(41:01):
everyone that plays a part should get her damn grand
Everybody should get a Grammy. If you're if you win,
you should get a Grammy. You should actually get the hardware, right,
So get everybody that's it. If it's thirty people on
this album, sit them down. That's thirty votes.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
It's thirty votes every single person. Hope y'all listening, because
this is not rocket science.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
No, no, y'all all went to school, you remember running
for class president.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Get some candy, niggas. Tell him you're going to try
to figure out how to extend recess longer. Lunch longer,
lunch with the people. That's really what that shit is, though,
Like you gotta get to it. Yeah, you gotta get
to it.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
The marketing doesn't stop, the promotion doesn't stop. It's the
same thing. We've said this before when Tyler Creator. He
has the viral clip that talks about how you gonna
put out an album and only promoted for the first week,
talk about it. I've been promoting this album for the
last two.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Years, and I'm not gonna stop keep promoting.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
I mean, I got three songs out right now, you
know what I'm saying. Thank me for that before the
streets the day after. I'm gonna keep promoting them songs,
and I'm gonna put out some more songs and I'm
gonna keep promoting those for the album that's coming.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
Conversations with women and this candle conversation is available. Who
you're talking to? Contrast what women with the women because
you know what I mean, because the man you talk
one woman the women. Conversations with women, you know what
I mean. Okay, it's a round table. You want your
house to smell like the Valentine. Talk to him. Get
the candle. You know this is this is one hundred
percent marble. Yeah not not you know not not. This

(42:44):
ain't no hotel smell you hear this? That mean it's strong. Listen,
that's what go down with this candle. You should hear
that comes with the grammy. You know what I mean

(43:06):
and play and play slow play whim we yeah, you
know we play play before the streets and after you
finished play. Thank me for that. Thank me for that.

Speaker 4 (43:19):
On the day after because I I taught the patience
totally went and say ship, turn it up.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
I'm trying to just be still. So yeah, that's that's
the Grammys. Shout out to uh Tyler one for Water too.
You know, I love that record. I love that record.
I was with Shaka last night was the last night, yeah,
and we were at the club at this week. We're
at this dinner spot. I can't call it by name,

(43:51):
and then he said, you need to come upstairs and
hear this. And it's the style of music that water
Water is. I'm thinking Water is Afrobeat. It is not.
I'm a piano. That's the sound A M A p
I n O. I'm a I'm a piano, like I
am a piano, I'm a A I am a well

(44:13):
you know the kids, now that's how they say like
I'm a piano. That's that's the style of the music.
That's the style of music. It's a whole different thing, right,
It's it's the nuance is slightly different, right, and we're upstairs.
We go upstairs. It's a Tuesday. It's water wall mm hmm,
it's dark, and this music is playing and they are

(44:37):
going crazy and I'm like, he looking at this, I said,
I need to know who's doing it. I need to
know who's doing it, and I need it now because
it's the it's it's now the new thing, it's now

(44:58):
the next thing. And I never I didn't understand what
he was saying until he took until he said, come
upstairs and hear this. I was like, I need it.
It's incredible. It is incredible, man. And her song is
That's why her song is what it is to me.
That's why it feels like that to me, because you
know it's it's, it's it's it falls in line with that.

(45:20):
I'm a piano whatever that thing is, I need it.
I gotta be involved. Let's so, let's let's touch on
whenever you're going, bro, Bro, we gotta go to super Bowl. Bro.

(45:42):
You're going, Bro, we gotta go to Super Bowl Bro.
R and B. It was an R and B halftime show.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Before we get to the halftime show, before we get
to the have time show, Let's start with to do
our first. Let's let's let's let's go in in order.
All right, let's go in order to come on baby,
because it was a big night. It was a you
know what I mean, it.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Was a du walk the night before. Shout out my garden.
Yeah yeah, it was a you feel me, you know
what I'm saying. Oh ag entertainment. Yeah yeah. Shout out
to my brothers, Neo Mario, Yeah, myself myself. Shout out
to me. Shout out to me. Uh, your niggas had

(46:27):
a code event. We were in the theater at the Saharah.
Wall to wall, wall to wall.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
Yeah, y'all look like zoo animals up there. I had
to walk to the back couple of times.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
I'm like, you know what, this feels a little weird,
but you know, suggressive people were saying in the comments,
all these niggas, don't say, as a guy, it's our tables.
It wasn't just random people. Our tables were on stage.
That's what the people were on stage behind me. I
was trying to figure out a way to pick my
my couch up and put it behind the curtain so
I could really just have me a good time back there.

(46:59):
I know you were I was like, you can't leave
it like this, man, I'll be back. Let's say what
you do man, Just you know, it's such a dope moment.
And I think, you know, the beauty of that moment
to me was, you know, shout out to DJ Infamous,

(47:24):
my guy, and shout out to DJ A Fly guy,
and everybody was just trying to figure out how it
was going to go down. And I was like, bro,
we just go. We just go song for song, everybody
just do a song, man, let's just kill who go first,

(47:46):
who last? That's just And everybody looked at me was
like hell yeah that was and then Infamous was like,
but do this though, what's it? I like your style?
I like your style and and it just turned in too.
It turned into a cool, really cool R and B celebration. Yeah,
and the.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
People on the internet wanted to know why you were
looking at Neo while he was singing like that while he.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Was like he was cooking.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
And that's why I say that to you, because what
people don't realize about this man is that he is
a celebrator of talent. Yes, all things, like you said,
all things. So if you get busy that nigga t
ain't gonna down in and it may look funny to
you on the internet because you're not there, and that

(48:33):
whole thing.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
I've seen it.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
You know, you don't mean I be reading the comments.
I'm like, they really don't get it.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
That's people who ain't who've never been looked at like
that before. Because when when if you've ever done something great,
somebody's looked at you like nigga, nigga. They didn't say
the face said it right right, you know. To see
Usher sing R and B music at the halftime of

(49:00):
the Super Bowl, Yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
Really it was an Usher concert and a football game
was going on.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Let's keep it a buck, Let's keep it a thousand.
Usher was having a show and they don't play some football,
and they let him play some football. Yeah, hm hmm, yeah. Yeah.
Let's get into it. Let's get into it. Let's get
into it. Let's get into it. Like here's what I'll say.
I have wishes when it's after the fact. Everybody always

(49:30):
has after the fact brilliance. Right, I would have. But
he didn't miss in in his execution of that show
from top to bottom something you pointed out earlier. He
sang the whole thing live live. Let's start that.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
And I don't know about nobody else, right, And I'm
not gonna claim to know every single Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Show, halftime show. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
I don't know, but I know singing at the super
Bowl live live TV and singing, singing cut up pieces
of your songs. You're not even going with muscle memory.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
You're not even in United You can't control rhythm, you
can't go on cruise control, you can't jump into a rhythm.
Especially now think about this. He has a residency, yes,
where he gets into a rhythm with all of these songs,
takes a minute to minute and a half, two minutes
in we cruising. Now, now I'm into none of that.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
These because he's doing twenty thirty years of music in
twelve and a half thirteen minutes.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Fifteen, you get fifteen, Yes, you can get fifteen, You
get fifteen. No, Usher got fifty, you got fifteen, Okay,
you get twelve. Oh, Usher got fifteen. Okay, he came
up with the extent. Okay, come all right, fifteen minutes,
all those hits and he's and listen and he's still
missed some Yeah, yeah, he didn't sing climax, right, Yeah,

(51:07):
I didn't think about that. I needed that. Wow, I
didn't even think about that. That's my only wish I want.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
I just want to climax, you know me, I won't
can handle it at the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Some seduction siculous you know what I'm saying there All
it's all magic, yes, magic, but you know it gives people. Now.
For me, it's like that was just a preview if
you never made it to Vegas, right, that's just that's
just a preview of what this world tour is going

(51:44):
to be.

Speaker 5 (51:44):
Like.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
That's just a small crazy crazy already sold out. You know.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
The fact that the fact that he's saying live it
was I felt like it was a statement for sure,
you know what I mean? Because and and in the
age of everybody attempting to sound perfect through all of
the studio ship. Now, the other thing that happens when
you when your attempt to sound perfect, is that you

(52:10):
lose feeling. You lose feeling. You need the crack every
now and then you need you know what I'm saying, like,
you need to note that's off for people to really
feel what you're doing. And that's why you know, to me,
I think that when people talk about why music isn't
the same anymore.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
A big part of that.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
Is all of the things in the in the computer
that make you sound so much better. You know what
I mean, everybody wants to sound like a computer. Usher
was like, no, no, no, no, no, I'm human. I'm human,
Alicia Keys, I'm human. I'm human, Like these vocals are
human vocals.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
Listen, we heard Keys crack at the beginning. So what
that's called singing? That's singing live, That's what that's called.
So what it's fucking Alicia Keys? Talk to some respect
on her. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
You get up in front of millions and two.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
Hundred million people, they say all together, watch it.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
If they call you, they probably won't.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
But and I'm not and I'm not saying that on
some inner defense of No.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
This is what singing is. Live.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Singing is about emotion, and sometimes it's about mistakes.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
Imperfections, the beauty and those imperfections. I watched listen, I
watched Mary J. Blige were going online. Not a perfect singer.
But I dare you to follow it. You can't.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
I dare you to try one of the greatest singers
of all times, Stevie Wonder, he don't hit every single note.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
One of the greatest living are dead.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Of all time all times. He does not hit every
single note. So for me to watch Usher say, Okay,
you know why I get this opportunity. I'm about to
give them these vocals and I respect it.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
And I'm ana dance and I'm a dance and I'm
a roller skate and I'm an outfit change and I'm
an outfit change, and I'm gonna give them all this
army ship because you know what, taking my motherfucking shirt off. Listen.
You know they talked about you know what I mean,
the motherfucker titty pop leears ago both yeah, both out,

(54:29):
both titties out. You know, listen, if you don't do
this R and B thing, you're gonna have to take
your shirt off. I've been trying to tell you fools
for a long time. There's a certain kind of shape,
certain kind of conditions. Yeah, you got to be in
for a woman to believe that you are even capable
of the things you're singing about. And Usher just confirmed

(54:50):
that at the Super Bowl shirt off that was open
Man said, doors, open bank. You should You should have
seen them women in the all they lost it. They
lost it as they should. That's they're supposed to do
at an R and B show. M Honey, would you

(55:13):
look at that man's got a shirt on? Yeah? Show
show what the women was looking like in the uh
the motherfucking boxes in the in the luxury box.

Speaker 5 (55:29):
We definitely need a shot panning when he had when
he took his shirt on all the women, and we
need to find a few faces because I promise you
the energy got real real R and B.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
Shout out to Usher for his team killing that ship.
Shout out, yeah, yeah, shout out to them for killing
that ship. Man. Shout out to our brothers and Villa brothers.
I did it. Man, Hey listen. Shout out to a
little John, little job. I want to fly outfit it
in shape, shout out to. Shout out to our brother

(56:05):
Jermaine du Prix with the pearly sock. Shout out to
little socks. You know what I'm saying. Shout out to listen,
I know what the socks say. Like the writing, it
was the loafer with the sock and the short that made.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
You you don't hey, listen, but listen. But here's the
other thing. This is what I'm going to say. If
you're going to show up, you gotta show out. Everybody
ain't gonna respect your show out every time. But I'm
going to leave an impression when I get there.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
Better be a conversation the next day, Jermaine, The Prix
is a conversation. Conversation is a conversations. It's right now,
it's the conversation. What right now, right now to this day, memes, everything, everything. Listen,
if they not talking about you, you didn't do what
you was supposed to do. And Jermaine was only on
stage for thirty seconds, y'all know what this is got

(57:00):
a billion impressions. Listen. I told him on this page.
You know what I mean. I said, my dog wore
the pearly socks. You definitely get into the pearly gates
them go. You know what I mean, them gonna get
you into Heaven. Come on now.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
But they came out shout out to her, shout out
to her, shouts at the bear, and she represented very well.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
Her is just magnificent. But she got her.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
She came out with her prince vibe too. She was like,
you know what I mean, This guitar. I'm gonna give
him the Prince looks.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
She's just magnificent. Yeah, and she saw she's not even
on that song. Shout out to Usher for that phone call.
Seeing her on that stage with him was just like
that was that was incredible.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
Yeah, incredible proback.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
I want to say this, and in big ass boots.
They don't give Luda, ah nah, they don't the top
five top ten credit. He deserves Luda. Chris will outrap
a lot of people in your top ten will out
rap that motherfucker can rap. And when he gets on

(58:20):
stage and starts delivering, no, let me say something now,
he's electric. When Lula walked on that stage and I
say that stadium went crazy, I think he knows he's
a superstar, but that stadium let him know he was
a superstar. Yeah, they let him know for sure. He
went he went crazy, He went grace Yeah, and everything

(58:41):
that like I was want to say out everything I
saw him doing that weekend, everything he was tagged on
every time. He he's going crazy like Luda. I don't
know what ludis. I don't know what was going through
right now, but he's he's he's really having a moment
right now, I don't know what's going on, you know
what I'm saying, skin glowing and fro is picked out nice,
like it's a good time for loader. Right now. It's

(59:01):
time for a record load. It's definitely time for it's
time for a record. It's time for a record and
if you need somebody to sing on it, Like I'm
not saying, I know you got a usher like usher,
you know that's your guy. You know what I'm saying.
You got a guy you just super all together? You know,
I know he'll sing on it too.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
But to the genius himself, what I am? What I
am came through with my fucking helmet on. That's kind
of like a helmet kind of glass shade.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
It's kind of a glassy helmet. Niggas a superstar, Bro.
You never he's not from this planet. No, No, you
see the car he's been driving around in. Have you
looked on this page? He's not. He made it. He made.
He's not from this car. He made and he can
make beat in it. He turned left. It's like, well,

(59:50):
I am, bro, shout out to what I am who
I sat next to at my boy DJ's wedding and
he is the most interesting, fun guy, genius, genius. I
probably ever met genius. It's never a dult moment, never
a dull moment. It's always what what because he said

(01:00:11):
whatever's on his mind too, And then the way he
breaks it down to you is like what it ain't
look at you? I hate that. That makes sense? I
hate that. Will I hate it, and will if you
if you you know, if you have, send me some
tracks too, I love that. Come on, we've been supposed
to work together for a long time. So just throwing
that back out there. Shout out, listen, shout out to

(01:00:33):
the numptials, HM, shout out to locking it in. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
on my biggest night. Let me do something even bigger.
Let me lock in, lock this woman in. Let her
know where we're at. That should be out here, he liketing.

(01:00:54):
I mean married, where I stand? Let me know you,
Let me let you know where I stand with all
of this something getting Yeah, you matter the most. I
respect it, I respect it, I respect it. And it
was flawed. So let's talk about this dumb ass football game. Now.
I don't want you to do I don't want you

(01:01:15):
to have to do that. Man. I think I think
you should just you know, let it burn, I think
because and then they fired the defensive coordinator. I'm not
I don't want to make it a racial thing.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
So so I'm going to tell you my experience now
because we talked, we talked about yours and you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
So m hm.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
There was a moment that I went to Vegas and
I was like, Okay, I'm getting to this game. And
then I had a moment where I said to myself,
maybe I shouldn't go to the game because the last
time I went to the game, we lost. We were
there together, we were there, right, So I'm thinking to

(01:02:06):
my because I will keep it funky. When we played Detroit,
the Detroit Lions, I watched the whole first half they
kicking our ass.

Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
And then I said, I'm turning off the TV.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Mm hmm, And I literally watched the game through the
notes on my phone when you like reading, you know,
as it's going on, oh ship on the twelve. I
watched the game that way and we won. So I
am a bit of a superstitious guy. I'm not gonna go.
So we have a great friend, our brother Marlin, who

(01:02:42):
made it made it a happen for US, and I
was able to go watch the game in the high roller.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
Ball room to top mm hm. You know what I
mean of the Win Hotel. You know what I mean? Yeah,
the only way.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
You even get in there is that you got a
gamble certain amount of Yeah, I mean, this is a
mother ship.

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
That's the only way to do FACUS. Just let you
know that. And you think he made sure I was
in the building.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
The mistake I think I made as I wore this jersey.
It's the same jersey I wore when we lost in Miami.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
You didn't. You didn't pick up on that when you
put it. No, no, because I'm thinking, this is Prime time.
Well you know, Prime just lost. Man, Now you tell
me this ship. Now you mean he won, But see
now you remind me he lost. He's a winner. When

(01:03:44):
he played for US, he won. Yeah. Right, but it's
ain't ninety four. But it's two thousand and four, right,
this is this ninety four. You feel me? You don't
feel me thirty years? You lost once in that jersey?
I know, but I was thinking like the thirty though
in Prime only won four games, I was thinking about

(01:04:05):
the thirty. I know what you was thinking. Thirty years
I know you have used up against a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
This was all in my head, right, but I'm not
thinking y'all lost in that jersey. You probably should have
warn your Kaepernick because I got the Kaepernick too, which
is a whole other conversation when I'm walking around in
the Kaepernick right.

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
But maybe just maybe just a polo. No, we're not
wearing no polo because listen, I had and I had
maybe and I had my forty nine er kids jacket on.
You know what I mean? It is limited that that
that sounds more exciting than than picking a jersey from like, man,
this is d I should have worked, but it missed

(01:04:46):
the first time. So that's why you should have taken
it off. You should have known that, Yeah, I should have.
I should have.

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
So I got all the phone calls before the Super Bowl.
As soon as we got into Super Bowl, all my
niggas can't shout out on my niggs can city because listen,
y'all niggas made great music, great y'all got great barbecue,
and y'all got a great fucking football team. I'm gonna
keep it a buck. I'm not the nigga that hate
on nobody's team.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
Y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Team is fucking great. Y'all might have the next goat
at quarterback. If you win a couple of mo like
he was, he three out of four.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
You have to go that tight End close to over Grunk,
close to right they got. It's kind of yeah, they're
very close. One more, they very close probably for both
of ye know, my homes gotta do, like a little
more more. But then then than what Kelsey gotta do. Yeah,
Kelsey just gotta get. And then here's the other reason

(01:05:41):
why you know, this is my opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
This is my opinion. I just wish are tight End
would have made that same relationship choice because I don't
think the NFL was gonna let her lose. Y'all can

(01:06:04):
say whatever y'all want. Y'all call me as many haters
as you want to. But one thing I know, one
thing I've done for a long time is business. I
understand the money that's been made and that the money
that's going to be made off of people wanting to
see her have a celebration kiss with her boyfriend who

(01:06:25):
just won.

Speaker 1 (01:06:25):
The super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
Listen if you want to go and everything is googleable.
It was really good for business, y'all. Y'all can go
see how much more money the NFL than made since
she's been part of the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Be the NFL. It's uh, I'm not gonna argue with you,
my friends.

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
So when I got that phone call from all my
homies from KC, I told everybody who called me about betting,
I'm not betting against her.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
It's like, man, you crat that ain't got nothing to do.
I said, listen, it's cool, but I'm not betting. That's
what I said. Well, I said her. I wasn't betting
against her for sure. I said, I'm not betting against
Dais Swim. But a guy told me, Warrant said, you
bet on that quarterback right there. You bet on the
best quarterback on the field before the game started. He's

(01:07:19):
the best quarterback on the field. He's the best quarterback
in the NFL. So Flitch, he said, I'm not going
against the best quarterback. Yeah, he's right there. That's who
you bet on, because it's gonna come down there him,
and it came down there, down now, and it came
down there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
I just want to know though, because the spread the
over and under was forty seven point five. You know
what the score ended up being forty seven. How y'all
niggas knew that y'all was on point five? Point five
don't even exist. Nigga can't score point five.

Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
I can't score point five. A nigga can't even score
point five. They had the forty nine ers one and
a half and the over and umber over and under
forty seven five. That's just your niggas is who didn't
how you nigga?

Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
Yeah ya just yeah, oh yeah, that's why I don't
bet on sports listen. But great football team. But it's
I'm saying all the funny ship and all the ship,
it's cool. That's that's you know, that's just me speaking
from being a true fan of my team. But the
the real, the ultimate real is Kansasy is a great

(01:08:33):
fucking football amazing team and y'all got great players on
that team.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
And shout out to my brother Travis Kelsey. We have
a you know where we're partners and oh yeah wine
yeah yeah, the rewind team, shout out the Fat Show. Yeah,
but you know, uh who else is on there with
Tyson Beckford? Yeah? You don't know the rest? You can

(01:08:58):
I do know the rest, you know, That's what do
that's another one. DJ Kalli is there with us. You
know what I'm saying. He got me and I have
the best hair color for men. I have the dark.
That's what you want. Rewind here. You don't want the
charco no, no, no, you want you want the natural black.
You know what I'm saying. Tyson his is the same.

(01:09:19):
But Tyson's mostly ball headed and old like that he was.
He had this hot moment when he was ball head.
Ain't handle her. I got hair, you know what I'm saying.
So it's like, you want to go with the guy
who actually has hair. Get the bit the box with
my face on. There are more benefits to the box
with my face on it. Get get paid once you
get it. When you get his box balls to you

(01:09:40):
don't want to get hit. Jesus, I've been watching too
much of Cavin made. It is shout love y'all show.
You had a pause. I love y'all show, Bro, And
they got j Simpson on there, Bro and Mark Jackson
like it's let us want to shout out. I gotta go.

(01:10:02):
This is a good round. Shout out to Shout out
to Mike Epps and Shannon Shark for uh talking like men.
I just wanted to throw that out there. I just
want to throw that out there because I know Mike Apps,
thank you guys. Think you think he's a comedian? Ain't

(01:10:26):
you funny? He is in his hometown, in his hometown. Yeah,
I'm glad. Yeah, I'm glad they were able to you know,
of course, ain't no punk, so we're not We're definitely
not saying that, no, but they just came to understanding men.
And I think that, you know, sometimes you just got
to be mindful, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
That these are in all of this that's going on,
it's all comedians. Comedians should be able to be funny,
even if it hurts your feelings. Sometime if I go
to a comedy show, I want to be like, oh
and laugh.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
I don't want I think I think Joe, I think yes.
But I also think that especially with Shannon being as
old school as he is, you know what I'm saying,
And from that, you know, from the part of town
that he's from, like you know that, and he's not
a comedian, right that the whole you know, and I

(01:11:26):
don't want to go too far into this, but that
whole using gay to tear Black Ben down. It's like
a that's a thing, and it can be a trigger
for you know what I'm saying. So I understand what
you're saying, because for me, it's like tell you jokes man,
you know what I'm saying. But I just I can
see how it can be triggering to somebody who's just

(01:11:48):
that's too motherfucking you know. But I'm glad they got
to work that out. You know, maybe I'll be on
Club Sha, you know, maybe maybe you know, maybe Harry
Money making appearance on Club You know what I'm saying,
I open up for Mike. You know what I'm saying.
I open up, you know, do my comedy set before
I'm gonna bring me on. Man, you know my jokes
is right. Come on, man, they're gonna throw your ass

(01:12:10):
into that all these comedians and now they gonna be
talking shit about you. Let him talk shit. I got
I got ship to talk I don't think I got
ship to talk back.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
I don't want to talk shit about nobody, man. I
want to continue to keep our positive brain jo niggas up,
keep smooth.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
Most comedians can't dress anyway. They clothes be fucked up.
I'm gonna start with your clothes, start with your facial hairs,
your beards be fucked up. Is it like a thing
wearing comedy where niggas have to wear fucked up clothes
so they jokes are better? Like what is that? Like?
It's never good clothes until you like get to the top.

(01:12:46):
Like Kevin is probably the only one that wears good clothes. No,
Mike wears good clothes. Might be flying. Mike and Kevin
be flying. Outside of that and during the air, Kings
of Comedy, that was different. I didn't wear them suits,
but I get it. We can name five. I warded
Steve Harvey big bodies, what teaking pants? Come on, man

(01:13:10):
getting fat? Give me the vest, to give me the vest,
Come on, man, Steve Harvey blessed me with the hell
of suits. Nigga, shout up to Steve. Niggas were suiting
the movie and right now that niggas, Steve be clean.
Kings of Comedy, hear different, clean, he a different clean

(01:13:30):
now clean. You don't wave now, but everybody almost comedians
are just like that. Yeah, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
But also let's keep it a buck too, though, nigga,
it's like it's expensive to wear.

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
And you gotta get to a certain Listen, man, listen, man.
When I was just playing at church for seventy five
hours a Sunday, we're gonna pull up the pictures of
you and your slacks. Bro, listen, old Tree, You're gonna
look like boys, Jean, I put it. We look nice though, yeah,
looking now. They had a question at least about one
of the articles of clothing I had on. Somebody we

(01:14:05):
get that shirt from there? Somebody put up.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
I know there's a lot of people that's from tanks,
church days, and the church that he went to that
got some pictures of him when he's walking around with
his Bible at home room in high school.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
In high school suit and boot it. It wasn't expensive suits.
It was a suit side of the four. But I
put them things together because I wanted to look like
something clean. I keep them clean tens, but clean. All right.
