don't know.

Like Jia was like eight years old interviewing justin Timberlake
in the pulpet.

like she's full or something.

We'll be in the car and Courtney will say like
that's hey, that's your mom right there.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
She's like, hmm, whatever, I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
They don't care, so I don't know. In fever Lake, yes,
they needed not yet.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I just introduced out of Time and I said that
could have been your mom.

store for her third album. She just dropped the title.
It's called Radical Optimism. I like to think I have
radical optimism.

Speaker 3 (01:31):

you can see the track list and album aret at
On with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 4 (01:38):

Le's quickly touched on everything else that people are talking about.
Producer Fraser is here with What's Trending.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Yep, Gwyn and Blake opening up about their relationship insecurities.
You can find out what those are. Calvin Harris's wife
secretly listens to an artist when he's not around.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
And Lady Gaga spotted with a massive diamond ring on
her wedding finger.

Keave you the music and fun coming your way. You're

Speaker 4 (02:12):
All right, Fraser, who's pro? Who's gone? You will be pro?

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Courtney will be con fifteen seconds maker case, ten second rebuttal.
Your topic today is Huey Lewis and the News.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Oh my gosh, Kuey Lewis in the News. I'm pro right, Yes,
Huey Lewis in the News is an iconic eighties band
and they've got so many great hits. And there are
a few artists that take you back to a certain era,
and Huey Lewis is one of them. You don't even
know who he is, missus Lopez.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Why would I care about Huey Lewis and wows? He
has done nothing for me or my family. He has
done nothing to provide for me and my family. But
did he what did he do?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
What did he do?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
What do you sing?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Mister Lopez?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
You are a cold hearted rabbit. Huey Lewis, your wife
are Red, who is now battling an illness. I didn't
know that and cannot here and won't be able to
perform again. Should be remembered fondly, and you got to
look back and appreciate a hueie.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I had no idea that he was battling an illness.
I don't even know who he is, and I said
nothing about his illness.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
So you always have to just send.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
You always have.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
To go below the bout.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Oh yeah, that's who it is.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Michael Jackson didn't think that he was a good singer,
and we are the world either. So that's why.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well, Michael Jackson's called his I.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
So we've established that.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Let's know if you think one at ol on Mario
more Mario Lopez on the way jo Mario Courtney Lopez
is gonna get Matt Rife on Zoom with us after
the time of the hour. He's out on his big
problematic world tour and getting ready to headline Netflix as
a Joke Festival. So let's talk about Matt Rife. Joins,
Isn't it It's eby Ol Mario Lopez. Join me now
on Zoom Actor in comic my Man, Matt Rife. Welcome

(03:52):
to the show.

Speaker 7 (03:52):
How you been, Bud, I'm great man, goodness see you.
Thanks for having me back.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Good to see you. Thanks for taking the time, keeping
up with you on social I know you'relling it out
there on the road. Problematic World tour is going on.
How have how the show has been for you?

Speaker 7 (04:07):
They have been unreal, man, We've crossed off some real milestones.
Recently we did six shows at Radio City Music Hall. Wow, unbelievable.
I mean doing one show that would have been a
dream come truck. That was amazing. We just did my
first arena shows. We did five shows at Mohegan Sun
Arena in Connecticut, which broke the record there. That's awesome
shows by a comedian, which at first I was really

(04:27):
flattered by, and then I realized, oh, it's pretty obvious.
Most comics are just smart enough to not do that
many shows.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
No good for you, what market? No, But that means
the demand is there? All right, man, Hang tight for
a second. A lot to talk about, but first more music.
Getting back to matt rive. Who's on zoom with us?
Mario Lopez here talking about your Problematic World Tour? Now,
when you're traveling, are you a boss or how many
people you're rolling with.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
Yeah, I've got tour but I have two tour buses.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Dude, you're like the rolling Stones over here.

Speaker 7 (04:56):
Oh dude, it's ridiculous and not what anybody thinks. It's
just me and my boys on the bus and people
are like, oh, you guys got to be throwing parties
on that. Bet there's just rugs, ever do It's just
just smoking weed and fast food and playing video games
till five in the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Damn. That sounds like a good time though.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
So it's not bad.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
It's not bad. I bet.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Now, when you're on the road for this long, like,
what's the packing situation? Because whenever I travel, I get
like anxiety when I have to pack more than anything
that will not fit in a carry on. But I
guess when you have a bus you can you can
kind of a little more room. Yeah, right, exactly. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
It's well, not to rub it in their faces, but
I have like the master bedroom in the bathroom bus obviously,
while while my friends all sleep in their mausoleum walls, right,
I have like a full walk in closet. Oh nice,
they all share one bunk to like as their storage.
I am months with of clothes. But I come back
here to La to pop in for press stuff so

(05:55):
often I'd come back here everything I've worn, but I've
like worn in a video that's going viral. I'm like, well,
got to get rid of that. I'll come back here
and just switch it out for all through wardrobe. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
I like that move right there.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
All right, Matt Haintach, take a quick break. Come back
more with comic Matt.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Right, more fun on the way on with Mario Lopez talking.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
With Matt Rivee about his big comedy tour.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
You're Mario Lopez and Matt.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I know a lot of fans have been making you
cookies and drawing pictures. Oh yeah, you've gotten anything a
little out of the ordinary.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Somebody bought my hat off off my head on stage
of the day for one thousand dollars, and then I
tried to buy meth with it in Minneapolis. Oh but officially, yeah,
there was a forcefully retired dealer in the audience, right right.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
That's funny, man, that's funny. I'm gonna play a few
more songs and we have more with that.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Right on.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Mario Lopez talking stand up comedy with Matt rife and
in May. I'm moving forward to this because I'm planning
to be there. The Netflix is a joke festival going
down at the Hollywood Bowl that is one of my
all time favorite venues. It's so cool. Have you had
an opportunity to perform there?

Speaker 7 (07:00):
This here first time even been?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Oh, it's so cool, Matt. You're gonna love it, man,
because in the summertime, it's beautiful. It's like nestled up
in the Hollywood Hills. Thousands of people. You see the lights.
They're smoking and drinking because you could drink, drink and
smoke out that that's like your boss. It's like your
bus but outside and it goes. It's so much fun.
You are gonna love it. What do you got planned

(07:23):
for that?

Speaker 7 (07:24):
I'm working on a musical act too that I can't
disclose as of yet, to potentially really just in the
show with a grand finale. If I can't get them,
I am gonna need you and your family to do
some TikTok dance.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
That's what's up. Want Mario, Hey, the lout passes have
your back.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
Your walk doesn't go unnoticed. I'm excited for I wanted.
I wanted to feel like like an intimate festival. It's
turned a six a sixteen thousand seat venue into an
intimate hangout. I'm gonna have a bunch of my friends
come and open the show for me. It's gonna be
a great show from start to finish. And I just
did the Dolby Theater. I think it was six shows
just a couple of months ago. And for the people

(08:01):
who may have been there for that, thank you. It
was an incredible experience, dream come true. And it's already
a brand new show, so you don't have to worry
about coming to see the same jokes.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Repeated, Oh fun, oh fun, How I'm looking forward to
That's gonna be cool. Man omar dot com to find
out more, Hank Tight, you can have more with Matt
Riife coming up. You're Mario Lopez catching up with comic
Matt Rife this hour in this fall.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
This is also really cool.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
You're gonna be performing an Abu Dhabi now, yes, have
you done much outside of the States, Like how are
the audiences different or how is their response to your
material outside of the US?

Speaker 7 (08:38):
Oh Man, so far, the US is the least fun
to perform in.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
That's great, not just.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
The cultural differences, but like just the freedom of comedy.
Like we people in the States about comedy more than
any other country around the world.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
You're just complaining it's so ridiculous, and you're right out.
It must be refreshing to get out of those states
and to be able to just people know how to
take a joke and they take it for what it is.

Speaker 7 (09:08):
Oh yeah. I was just in Australia at the beginning
of this year for January. We were there for two
and a half weeks. It was three weeks maybe the
show's out. There was my first time being that I'd
always heard in the comedy community that Australia had like
the best comedy audiences in the world, which also that's
pretty high title to give.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
I got down there and I was like, dog, I
wish I would have waited to shoot my next special there.
It was unbelievable, Like nobody feels that they have to
make the show about themselves. No one's getting offended by anything.
Everyone is just there. They're in with the joke, they're
on board, they're aware of the context and the environment,
and they.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Have a sense of humor.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:42):
The UK was fantastic, like English crowds are amazing, even Ireland.
I've got a whole European tour we're doing from September
through November, including that the Abu Dhabi one, which I'm
really looking forward to because that's the same arena they're
doing UFC in the night right before.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Oh one, ohs, you're gonna get cast fight.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
That's gonna be Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:01):
I think you should come out personally.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Hey, that's why I would data, Yeah to hit it
up there. He's a big fan of yours by the
way too.

Speaker 7 (10:08):
Oh, I know that's the homie. That's the homie.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
That's cool.

Speaker 7 (10:11):
I'm really looking forward to now. I know the lulls
and cultures are much more different out there, so I
will be interested to see what I can and can't
stay out there.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Well, Matt, hang tight, one last break and I'm going
to come back and wrap it up with Matt.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Right.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario doc
more Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Rapping up with comic man RYE. Mario Lopez here and
I read I don't know if this is true. You're
into sports cars or sport cards.

Speaker 7 (10:35):
Part of me what you're talking about. That's so crazy
that you even heard about this. Yeah, when I was
growing up, I loved sports card. I still have like
tens of thousands of them.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Do you did you get that Lebron rookie card recently?

Speaker 7 (10:47):
I did when I was at Mohegan Sun for the
Arena shows. They had an expo going on up there,
and I was like, I haven't dabbled in cards in
probably more than a decade, and I got up there.
They had some amazing things I got. I got a
Mickey Mantle rookie card. I got a Lebron rookie card.
I got a Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson autographed card.
Sweet and oh god, there was one other one I

(11:10):
got well blanking on it right now, but yeah, came up, dude.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
It was amazing.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
That's cool, man, that you get to do all that. Well, Dude,
I am glad you're you're killing it out there with
all this traveling working though. How you staying in shapecause
I know you're still looking dialed in.

Time for mus see movies today is all about one movie,
Searchlight Pictures The Greatest Hits, which is streaming on Hulu
right now, so you can check it out. And movies
really cool because it's all about how music takes us places.
I've always said that I can hear a certain song
and immediately it'll transport me to that time. I don't
think anything else does that other than a good song.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
No, music is so important. The story follows Harriet, who
experiences a unique connection between art and reality, discovering that
specific songs have the power to transport her back in time,
driving her to relive special moments with her ex special
but all the time traveling collides with the potential new
love interest in the present.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Oh oh.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
The Greatest Hits is all about love, loss, fate, and
the mysterious connection between music and memory.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
So many songs I can just hear right now, It'll
take me right back. I don't know why it popped
into my head, but Johnny Camps just got paid. Took
me back to elementary school as one of my first
school dances.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
And you just got paid that day.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Just the beat. No, I'm like twelve. It had no idea.
I wasn't getting really paid, but just the beat was
cool and we're having like a dance and it was
just such.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
A cool moment.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Greatest Hits is a beautiful, romantic journey that showcases the
power of music, and the soundtrack is the next level,
featuring music from Lana del Rey, Baby Bridgers, Beach House,
Roxy Music, and Nellie Fitzado.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
So check out Searchlight Pictures, the greatest hits streaming now on.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Hulu, or Mario Lopez coming up without Mario Lopez here.
And here's something I just learned about Star Wars. In
the early days of production for Phantom Menace produce, we're
considering casting Tupac Shakur. That's a fun fact. Apparently he
even read for the role with George Lucas before his murder.
The role eventually went to Samuel L.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Jackson.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Oh man, if you would have cast Tupac as Mace
wind Do Ball would have been legendary. Ah wish that
would happen.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
What elm are on? Courtney Lopez?

Speaker 6 (14:23):
Here?

Speaker 2 (14:23):
What obscure holiday are we celebrating today?

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Honey?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Today is National Licorice Day.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Shout out to Twizzlers. They are the premier. We're not
even gonna discuss black liquorage because that doesn't it shouldn't
even count scross. Twizzlers are the premiere licorice. If you
come at me with the red vines, just get out
of my face. I've noticed it's a geographical thing for
some reason. I'm an anominally because most people on the
West Coast like Redvines the East Coast. I grew up

(14:50):
with Twizzlers. Twizzlers. Yeah, you agree with me on that right,
hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I'm a Twizzlers girl.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah, red vines to me, candle Wax can't deal with it.
I'll eat them. But if given choic and then when
you get the individually wrapped Twizzlers, which I look forward
to in Halloween, even better.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Those are so good.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Joh Mario Courtney Lopez with details of TV's new Mega
Powers team on.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (15:15):

she is done forever. However, she says she's secretly ghost
