Aired February 18, 2024: Ready to climb up THOUSANDS OF STEPS at the LA Coliseum to fight lung cancer? We invite you to do so! The
Fight For Air Climb returns to the Coliseum Sunday Feb 25th, with over 650 participants climbing to raise money and awareness for the
American Lung Association. And they would LOVE more people to join! In this podcast, Lisa Foxx talks to Maxine Tatlonghari, the Local Development Director for the American Lung Association, about all the ways this event helps raise money and awareness for lung cancer, lung disease, the fight for cleaner air AND a tobacco-free future.
Onsite registration is available for SoCal’s Fight For Air Climb Sunday morning at 7 a.m. which brings together hundreds of climbers of all fitness levels, families and corporate teams from across the region. Participants can ease into the event with two “walker” routes through and around the historic facility, or take on the stairs themselves with Climb (approx. 1,400 steps) and Elite (approx. 2,500 steps) routes available. The Lung Association is also offering a “Climb Your Way” option for those who can’t attend the event, you can do so virtually.
Funds raised at the Fight For Air Climb support the American Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, and help fund much-needed research to save lives from asthma, COPD, lung cancer and more. The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.
