and apparently none coming from Anthony Edwards. We're also gonna
have a conversation about stories in the NFL, you know,

(00:22):
like the Bears not wasting any time and naming Caleb
Williams as the starting quarterback there in Chicago. We've also
got the breaking news of the season opener in the NFL,
which we will touch on. And if you ever wondered
what players gamble on in a locker room, go ahead
and put Grasshopper Fights near the top of the list.
We'll explain. Coming up next here, Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe on a Monday, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
It is like a little dance thing every single morning
now and it's disgusting.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
What's the dance looking like? It's really good.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
It's kind of shuffling. It's old school, like eighty sitcom dancing.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
So good. He gets up that good. And also, by
the way, I don't know that it's silver anymore.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I think it's just like gray, a faded gray, all right,
But nonetheless, you know we could play around aluminum.

feel in here on a Monday morning?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Right? Yeah, Gray? I went to top golf for the
first time. Did you I did?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
What?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Do you think it was fun? I think we're going
to do it every weekend.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
My son wants to go all the time. He can golf,
he can swing. Yeah, I can't believe it. He's like
pretty like pretty dope. What about you? No, did you whiff?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
No?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
I don't whiff. I keep my eye on the ball.
I don't whiff. I just don't. I'm just not good,
you know.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I can hit it out of ten swings all with
probably three times.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
No, I don't whiff because it's such a violent swing
and there's so much power. Yeah, I don't swing. Yeah,
why I mean that's a difference between us. Yeah. I
try to look smooth with my mind, not violent swing. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
They always see how something like that will get you
into a sport. It's not quite the sport, but it's
kind of sport. But like then, now it's got you hooked,
like you'll go every week.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'll probably go, well, I know the one bites. Here's
the reason why though, it's it was a cool family environment.
Like I got a big ass family, so we got
we got too little.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, we got two little ports or whatever they're called
docs or whatever, and.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
And we you know, we went to work. Jesse Leketto
was with us all weekend too. Yeah, we were hanging louh.
So we had a good time.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
You know, have you done any of like the newer
putt putt ones that are like unbelievably tricked out and cool,
like the like the nicer stuff they're starting to build out.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
We do have a new putt putt course along the way.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
There's like a bunch of golfers are getting behind it.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I don't know what they called. Do you see me?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
He did though of our like the excitement in Brady's voice,
thinking I got another golf friend. I've got somebody's down now.
And then you had to drop a d's nuts joker.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Well, I mean I did drop, but that was disrespectful
for that. They were two separate into these though.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
I was like, that guy's running full speed, doesn't see
the pole.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Right into it.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah, oh far, I'm coming. I'll be right there, buddy,
I'll be right there.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Boom, these nuts.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Knocked out, dang cold. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I don't know of any other mini golf other than
the castle out here and golf and stuff. You hit
the castle, yeah, the castle park the road from the
studio right over here. No, there's one on the way
to Ontario, and it's big. It's like a castle. It's
pretty big. I'm going to stop off and do it
one day. We're going to do it. Yeah, it's fun.

(05:33):
But top golf was pretty fly. I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
And I got frat a little bit, not all the
way frat, not not frat chicken like extra crispy, but
it was good. I was I was drinking strawberry Margarita's nice. Yeah,
I don't get it done. Yeah, like three of them.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
It was good. Let me ask you this though, when
you go to Vegas, okay, are you also gonna go
to Top Golf there? You see to do like Vegas.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Well, now that I've done it and and sticking, you know,
sticking up for months, obviously, I think I might do
Top golf in uh in Vegas, I might have to
do it.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I wonder if they have Do they have gambling machines
at the Top Golf in Vegas?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
No? No, it's just Top Golf, just in a place
where you could do anything that you want the entire world,
and then also Top Golf.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
What Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Id you have people who just apparently think like, oh,
this makes sense if you lived in Vegas, I get it,
But if you're visiting Vegas, just I can't be down.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Oh my buddies bachelor party last July they went to
Top Golf and then at night we were at like
the arcade at at MGM.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Like at the place.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Your buddies are losers.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
No, I left. I will say this. I will say this.
It does if I were of the bachelor or single
stature status, that would make sense. They have. It sucks.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
It's awful.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I did it.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
You should go to a pool. You should get other venues.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
It's let's go. I will.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
So at night we end up at that place you
know where we did the draft And I'm just saying
what I saw yesterday and it wasn't too bad to me, okay,
but like during the day for.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
A couple hours.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
But the problem is, like, if it's a bachelor party,
you're gonna have other stuff to do, and I'm sitting at.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
How much longer? How much time do you need out
a bar to make a connection.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Well, but the problem is when you when you're with
a bunch of people it's a bachelor party, and like
you're seeing people play connect for next to some slot machines.
I'm like, why are we here? And they just wanted
to stay. I said, all right, I'll see at the
next wedding. I'm out of here. I just went to
the next hotel.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
It sucks.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
And if you're going at a bachelor party and you're
in Vegas, there's so much more to do and so
many more problems you can get.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Like shoot an oozy if you want, you could do
crazy stuff. Really could probably go throw a hand grid in.
I don't even if that's true, but I probably could.
You can probably find a guy who's like, hey, come
over here, I've got a hand grenades. You can throw
the pull the pin, throw them. You never done that before.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
You could probably go dig a body out. There's probably
bodies in these areas. You just get your you know,
I don't know, but you're just saying. Like what you're said,
it's true. Like there you can find anything to do.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
You meet the guy behind the dumbster. He knows w
they're bear.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
There you go, here's your shovel, go searching for bones.
And now now let me ask you a question. Is
bowling any better? I love bowling, all right. I used
to have like seven bowls.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Like different is the bowling of golf, though it's the
bowling of golf.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I'll say this, I'm really good at bowling, so I
probably enjoy bowling more. But I will say golfing was fun.
Swinging was fun. I enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Problem is, and there's no outdoor bowling alleys that I
know of, like to where during the summertime. You know,
you get a nice breeze, you know, knock down some pins,
you know, ben the elbow a little bit, you know,
have some fun. You got to be stuck in a
bowling alley and you smell like that shoe polish.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
After we did have one let go of the of
the club. We did have one, and it almost hit me.
If my if my reflexes weren't still cat like, I
might have took an ale, I might have been up
in here and been on the ir for real.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
I've seen some folks, you know, let go of balls
before too, So you.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Know, dang, how do they let go of their balls.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Like they you know what they know what people are
trying to do now, but they don't use any of
the holes.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Oh so they just hit it off the platform. What
you're talking the top golf bowling? Oh yeah, we're stout
top Yeah yeah, back to the top golf.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yeah. I was saying, like, I never used the hole
the top golf. There you go. There's people who try
to do that sometimes, but they'll lose like a grip
on it.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yeah, I never used the holes. A finger. I'm a finger. Yeah,
you go two in Its surprising and I just tip
it with with with the tips of my fingers. That's
that's how I spin it. Yeah, that you hold it
like that, you don't say, well, there you go, get
it on back sister Jeen, I my thumb never. I

(10:20):
never used my thumb ever. And and I was taught
by a professional and he was like, it drives me crazy.
You don't use your thumb. You can't find consistency if
you don't use your thumb. Right, I was like, I'm
not sticking my thumb in there. I'm just not going
to put it in there. Was that the actual was that? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:41):
It was that?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Was that him? It just made that sound effect. Was
that side show bob by the way we get around
of it?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
A croud of applause for Larado who's really navigating the
drops waters lately?

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah, he just maybe think what the hell is going
on in her mind?

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I mean, it's very true. I wasn't going to touch that,
but you know.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Yeah, I don't mind your lee. Quick question for you,
how was your weekend?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I said the same thing to him when he came
in here.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Is that an incomplete sentence?

Speaker 5 (11:21):
Or that is not an incomplete I was at the bar.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
He was flipping words, he was flipping words around, all
kinds of stuff.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Is at the turntable?

Speaker 6 (11:30):
You guys didn't get the joke of how the tables
have turn how the turntables.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
You guys don't know that one?

Speaker 4 (11:36):
No, come on, is that a we just have we're
typing with one eye.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
No, it's an it's an office joke, covering one so
you can see the screen, right.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Didn't get that joke.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
So, like, you know, like if you find yourself and
you're just mangled, sometimes it's hard to focus with two eyes,
so you've got to cover one eye in order to
focus on certain things. So you basically got to cyclops
yourself in order to be able to read and see
and understand what's happening.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
And then imagine typing you typing into that. That's quite
a talent. I was.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
I was asking the guys, can we get a bigger table,
like we're at the high top. I was like, we
get the bigger table right behind us. They're like, no,
we're good here. I was like, all right, I'll do
it here.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
He was working you did the r Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:31):
Really yeah, I was watching the game at the bar.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
You know, most most people work on their computer and
like a coffee shop. And he's like, nah, right here,
next yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:39):
Next to the next to the tag the gennic, right
behind the right behind the laptop.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Thank you. He's unbelievable. That's probably your pickup line too, like, oh,
look at him, he's he's studious, he's working. What do
you do?

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
You know, I'm the producer of Fox Sports radio show
called you know have you ever heard of the Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
By the way, the show starts in twenty five minutes,
so let me get.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Cut me off after this next one, maybe one more, alright,
alrighty then oh man run down?

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Definitely show. Yeah, I didn't catch up on it. I
didn't like catch it until the bar maids made a comment.
Then Brady just made that comment, and now I'm like.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Yeah, it did kind of not make sense. You don't
get the joke. It was drinking gibber, That's all.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
That's what I really wanted to dig in on this.
You sent me back an email. He sent all us
back an email replying to something I sent you for
sound And even that wasn't technically there's some grammatical errors.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Definitely, I was on the road to the bar.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Oh tang, Okay, Sorry, geez, I don't be so hostile
with us.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
I'm trying to drink.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
We're not taking your beer away.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Still there, I thought it was being kind of replying
to your email.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
You were being kind. I was just make sure we
have the sound.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
You know, well listen, uh hell of a start May
and worst worst Spot me and worst Spot. I think
it was supposed to be maybe in worst Spot, but
it was a y e in worst Spot.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
You know, there was that one. And then there's beer
Ain't playing game name. Yeah, that sounds like he's speaking.

Speaker 7 (14:27):
Jive, like you remember the movie here play with They
was speaking, Hey, they speaking jive up there, anybody know
how to speak their language? And the old lady went up,
there's a j jang Jake Coolberg eathing the gang day.
I'm going to breathe bears ain't playing games and start
tail up, tail up and take QB one.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
What oh my god. I didn't really even catch.

Speaker 2 (14:51):

Speaker 5 (14:55):

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
Necking her Back Coming up in twenty minutes from now
from the tire Raq dot com studios.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Somebody is at it again.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
We're talking about it's a national treasure at this point,
but very weird behavior following your performance over the weekend.
We'll get into that for you again about twenty minutes
from now here on Fox Sports Radio. So if LeVar,
if you want to go first or Brady wants to
go first, like whoever, you know, just you guys decide,

(16:54):
you know whatever, either is fine. Whoever wants to apologize
if both you guys came on the air after Game
two and said the Nuggets t Wolve series was over
and that Minnesota was gonna win that series.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I definitely said Minnesota is going to win it. Yeah,
I mean, so like you guys want to I'm not
falling off. I'm not falling off of my my prediction.
It's just that they're in a very very critical moment
in the stage of the series. Yeah, that's all it does.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
I would say this. I don't think I ever claimed
them as my Minnesota Timberwolves. Yeah, there was somebody who
kept saying my Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Did I say that?

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Nope, not you.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Oh it was Jonas right. Yeah, that sounds very Jonas like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
He does go the direction, especially when you have a
boss or a superior, right, you're rooting for that same team.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
There's a lot of that in there, right right, yeah, right, yeah,
well listen, yeah, well right now, the strength of the
pack the wolf and the pack of the wolf. The
pack and the strength of the wolf. I know that
they appear to have been neutered a little bit.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
We give Denver some credit. They've made adjustments. They i mean,
they completely neutralized Jokich the first two games. Now they've
kind of come back and they've been able to find
ways of working their offense. Kind of a round a minute,
and I know everyone's gonna look at the end of
the first half and say, like that was the swing.
Maybe it was, right, what was that like a five
point you know kind of player sequence.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, it was a big moment. They didn't that wasn't
the game.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
No, I mean, there was plenty of time afterwards obviously
to make it up. But it did kind of like
if there was some of the men going into halftime,
that was like an exclamation point to it. You know.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Now, Michael Malone, the head coach of the Denver Nuggets,
you know, he had something to say to guys like
LeVar who said it was over, and it was over
after game two.

Speaker 11 (18:43):
I think when we were leaving Denver, a lot of
people I don't think in Denver, but a lot of
people were, you know, understandably. So Sanda series is over,
and uh, you know, to come up here and even
it up on the road. We've played good basketball. Rudy
t is right, man. Never underestimate the heart of a champion. Yeah,
I mean, like they were quick to write us off.
You know, but these guys, we won a championship a

(19:03):
year ago, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
We went into.

Speaker 11 (19:06):
Miami won two games in a row.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Like this team has.

Speaker 11 (19:08):
Been tested time and time again, and we found a
way to solve whatever's been thrown at us.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
So they're going back to Denver. You know, my wife
is friends with him and his wife. Like their daughter
plays volleyball, so they've gotten to know each other on
the volleyball circuit. I felt bad putting the friends.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I don't go on those trips because I'm always busy,
like I'm working.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
She's the momager. She handles all of that stuff, recruiting, visits,
all the tournaments, all.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
That stuffs the quick answer.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
No, yeah, I don't. I don't be there. I'll go
to the local ones, but I don't. I don't travel.
I don't go all do on all that travel. The
farthest you'll go, like for like my kids tournaments and
stuff like that. The furthest i'll go is like Orange County,
a long beach. It's like twenty minutes, yes, like an

(19:58):
hour drive. But but like.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Ain't gonna work for me. Yeah, that's a note for me.
Is that like as far as the studio, I mean, yes, yes,
that's correct.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I don't. I don't fly to their their events. Like, man,
it's got a visit to Tennessee and and Michigan coming up.
I won't go. I don't go.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
It's funny, that's the manager. So visitors there, visit to Michigan.
We haven't heard South Bend in the mix there.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Hey, look, this stuff takes time. You can.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Let's go back to the Let's go back to the basketball, man, Like,
let's go back to the series.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
We can't set up your son's recruiting trips on the area. Well,
I've tried to keep it. I've tried to keep him focused.
I don't I don't need no confusion.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
You want to go on their balance? Really yeah, let
me tell you. Are you being serious? That serious?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Oh wow? Well, I just don't need to go. I
don't need to go. I got self control issues better anyway.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
So, speaking of self control, the Nuggets had self control
and they exercised it. And now they've put the Minnesota
I think Minnesota vikings. They put the Timberwolves in a
position where this game is more important to them than
it is to the Nuggets. The Nuggets can put together
two games series to win two games, I don't think

(21:34):
the Timberwolves can win two times in a row. I
don't think so. So they can't lose this game and
one games one and two. I don't think they can
do it. At this point in the series, you think
all of the heart has been taken out of I'm
not going to say that. I just think the familiarity
is there. They've settled into the series and they need
to win this game, this next one coming up.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Anthony Edwards uh, And we've got a little bit from
him afterwards. But one of the things that he did
say was that he felt like the extra day off
in between games two and three hurt them, like they
were going every other night and then all of a sudden,
you know, they had a couple of nights off in
a row, and he felt like it hurt him.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
I don't know if there's anything to that, because, well,
you get a little bit of time to interact, like
what Johnson about in Knoxville. You know, there's interaction time
and he's hot. Oh yeah, oh yeah, he's hot, you think.
I mean, you just never know that day off. Man,
like give you a little bit too much time. Sometimes

(22:36):
you don't need that time. Sometimes time ain't on your side.
I mean, Aunt was great, Well, he was great last night.
He was not the problem.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
The problem was they couldn't get stops and Jamal Murray
you know, with the big momentum swing. But afterwards, Anthony
Edwards had a little bit of a conversation with some
members of the Denver Nuggets on the court, and then
he also talked about what he expects moving far world.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Let's take a listen, Anthony, did you you have any
words with the Jamal or any of the Nuggets at
the end of the game there looked.

Speaker 12 (23:06):
Like, yeah, yeah, I just told his as that's what
we love that keep keep talking that, that's what we like, well,
I love it. You know, so he ain't say nothing back,
but I'm pretty sure you heard me. They hurt me,
and we live for that. I don't think they got
any momentum. I mean, we won two games. They won
two games. At this point, it's just whoever went two games.
So I don't know how people look at it, but
I look at it like I'm happy. I'm it's we're

(23:28):
competing at the highest level, and I'm smiling about it
because I'm happy. I'm ready to go play, and we
play tomorrow, I'll be ready, so it's gonna be fun.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
I like it's awesome. I like it.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Think is man twenty two years old? It's awesome. That's
the way you want to hear it. I told his
that he ain't respond, but I know he hurt me.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I mean, and listen, I've never had to deal in
those those terms. You know, you tah crazy to somebody
during the game. That's it. Like you might see him
in playoffs. I wouldn't see him in the playoffs. We
didn't really, I didn't play in the playoffs. But but
seeing somebody repeatedly over and over again, I can't even
imagine what that feels like in terms of the familiarity

(24:14):
of one another, the competition between you know one another
and having to do it over and over again. It's
just something I've never been a part of, but I
feel like that would be pretty pretty intense if you
find yourself in a heated exchange. A heated exchange can
change everything. It can change the energy, the approach, the intensity.

(24:40):
It just changes everything. And so it'd be interesting to
see how they come out if indeed it was more
more or less like kind of because Jamal Murray has
that he has that kind of way about him where
you know, he can be, you know, maybe irritant the
way that he kind of or handles things. So it

(25:01):
would be interesting to see how they they lock up next.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Game Kentucky guys man, something about it, you know, Frank
O'Hare junior.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
Yeah, yeah, Frank, you cannot see it now, do it?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
And then you know, we were going to touch on
game four between the Knicks and the Pacers, but I mean,
what's the point. You know, like you don't want to
say anything because you don't want Rick Carlisle to complain
about it. So congratulations, Indiana's back in the series. The
Knicks look banged up and they're going to head back
to MSG for Game five, so we got some Game

(25:38):
five was right, Bark was right, hmm about Ann Edwards. No,
he was like he hates the Knicks.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Yeah, and look they're good, but I don't know that
they would be Boston or even Cleveland whoever wins that
signed the series in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
They're just they're banged up.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Celtic change.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
No, I mean like it just I don't think they
have much of a chance. But it is fun to see.
You would agree, well, but I'm saying yeah, well yeah, basically, yeah,
I agree. I just think that seeing that, I would
like it to go seven games because I just want
to see that place in Game seven with an opportunity

(26:27):
to go to the Eastern Conference Finals with who know,
potentially a matchup against Porzengis in the Eastern Conference Finals.
I just hope that series goes seven games. And it
kind of bothered me that Indiana won Game three because
I was really hoping they weren't going to get rewarded
for their crying about the foul calls in games one
and two.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Outside of Boston in the East Boston do you feel
as if any other team can really compete with the
teams in the West. No, I feel like the West
looks feels that much better.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, yeah, uh yeah, Yeah, it's Boston. It's Boston or
bus even though Cleveland, Cleveland, Cleveland shot and the Pacers
are you know, I don't know they got bigs. I
don't know you got some they got some skill. Definitely Boston.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Though if I gave you odds for Boston, you would,
you know, three to one's let's say plus three hundred
or even money with ok C and then the two
in this series, Denver in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
It's gonna be hard. I don't so I would get
the Celtics at plus three hundred. Correct, I'll take I'll
take Boston. I mean they're a minus one thirty to
win it all right now.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
And the thing is, like, I don't feel very good
about them or their chances once they get there. I
just think they have any is your path to get
to the finals?

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah, I don't disagree with that. I still think that
this is this is as good a year as it
is of any for Boston to win it. Oh, they
don't do it this year? Like I mean, I get it.
Prizingis is out. I get that they that has hurt them.
They they have dealt with injuries and injury concerns on

(28:21):
that side of it. But this is as good a time,
as good a year for them to win it all
as any.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
You can't get over how well Derek White's played.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
He's played well.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
That comes from I don't think he's ever played to
this level in his career.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It was part of the reason why they were okay
letting go of Marcus Smart because it felt like Derek
White could do what Marcus Smart did and just make Smart.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
But he's even done more than that.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, he's been awesome.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
They needed that because Tatum or Brown they will disappear them.
Dudes become spectators here and there.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Man. They just is that with Tatum, everyone wants to
make him out to be like up there with with
you know, the yokicches and everyone else. You could be
like an MVP candidate.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
He disappears. I don't know what it is, but they're inconsistent.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
And he's real quiet, like he doesn't he doesn't talk,
there's no there's just nothing. So I think people expect
that he's going to be boisterous and all that, and
that's just not him. That's the one thing that they
probably lack is they don't have somebody that's and that's
where Marcus Smart did come in because a lot of
times he would try and will them back into games,
but they're they're disappearing act in games where they'll they'll.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Get down by eight or ten and be like, eh, whatever,
We'll see you next game.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
It's crazy how much you know about the boss and self.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Because I'm an NBA guy. I'm an NBA guy.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yeah, just researching and because you know, that's why Brady
called me years ago show prep Jesus like which, so
like he just knows the amount of time I put
into this stuff, breaking down the rosters and the construction
of rosters.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
And things like that.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
Tell me a little bit about the Cavs.

Speaker 2 (29:56):

Speaker 6 (31:37):
Derek Lewis had another awesome celebration lined up after his
latest knockout of Rodrigo Nacimento. Uh, he threw his cup
into the stands. I don't know if you saw that
or not.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
His what his cup? He moved drinking.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
Man area, Yeah, yeah, he moved.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
He mooned the crowd.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
The crowd though, and then threw his cup into the stands,
and then he had something to say about it afterwards,
as well as Dana White.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
Take a listen to them both.

Speaker 12 (32:07):
My cup, yeah, smell fresh, baby.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
My balls don't stink right, Oh thank you. I don't
try to stunk.

Speaker 11 (32:17):
I was really lucky, fortunate to get that.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
There's Lewis cup.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Would you mind sign it?

Speaker 4 (32:22):
I would prefer not to, but uh, I mean you
were very lucky to catch that.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
It was it was right in front of me. He
signed it, So I really like it. You're a lucky day.
I was, I really would like you to sign it?

Speaker 5 (32:35):
Okay, sure, all right, thank you?

Speaker 4 (32:39):
In all right?

Speaker 1 (32:40):
On'd you have him signing?

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Oh? He did? All right? Those are the things when
you like own something, you never think they are going
to be a brought up there to sign another man's cup.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
That's gross, man. You know what though, it's probably gonna
be worth a lot of money someday.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
You know.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Do you know what Derek Lewis his nickname is, Like,
if you had to guess what his nickname is, what
do you think it is? Deez Lewis is now the nuts? Yeah,
so I was. That's where I was at with it,
all right, all right, it's the Black Beast.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
Whoa.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
So you know, if you're wondering on radio like that,
help you kind of you know, put put it all together.
He's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
Thing said these things. I don't think at all do that.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
That's really why it's it just maybe because it's a
really big, good fighter.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
I don't know, maybe both. I mean, it's really weird.
Jonas is like sitting here secretly wishing he caught that cup. Yeah,
that's what's going on.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
It's a little weird.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Yeah, would you have asked Dana White and and him
to the Black Beast to sign his cup. I mean, no,
why would I do that? Good? Good? What's the punch
line line? No?

Speaker 2 (34:04):
I mean you want to keep it him in condition
is so I wouldn't have anybody. Oh okay, yeah, what
do you want me to say? I'm gonna eat I'm
gonna eat malta meal out of it later. Come on,
it's gross. But he this is not the first time
that he's done this to where he just dropped his
pants in the middle of the octagon after a fight,
and the quote he gave, they're like, why did you

(34:26):
take your pants off? He goes my balls was hot,
like it.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Didn't think there was anything wrong with it. So good,
good job for the Black Beast there, Derek Lewis.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
But we do know that the Black Beasts overheats. That's
I think that's the moral of this story. Lee, what
else we got?

Speaker 6 (34:46):
Well, guys, in case you missed this report from Tyler
Dunnough Golong tv dot com.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
He reported that apparently.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
But we didn't miss the reports, so go ahead.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know that's that's not.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
A website we frequent, but yeah, it was the name of.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
It again Tyler Dunn of golong td dot com.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Okay, okay, right, did you guys know that was a
website that existed?

Speaker 2 (35:08):
I don't know, didn't know, won't know, and I did,
but I got to get a life.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Well, so that's not really he used to be.

Speaker 6 (35:16):
With somebody else. That's why I emphasized his new uh,
his new spot. So he used to be with I forget.
Who are you forgetting?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
I mean he's pretty good, Like, yes, he does a
good job.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
I forget. Why doesn't matter anymore?

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Does it? You really do forget? I thought you were
being silly, all right. I thought it was like like
a bit but okay.

Speaker 6 (35:41):
Well, in case you missed his report, all right, he
reports that apparently the quarterback room in Chicago last year
was very toxic from uh, mostly coming from Justin Field's
point of view, saying that he and Andy Dalton and
Nick Foles were extremely toxic towards each other. He could
never be seen with the veterans who were brought in

(36:01):
to teach the young quarterback. There was several arguments among
the quarterbacks. Foles was trying to teach something to fields
in the quarterback room. At one point, Upon turning towards
the rookie, Foles realized Fields wasn't even paying attention. His
head was turned down. At that point, Foles was done
trying to mentor the young quarterback. The two could not
stand each other.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Interesting.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
Yeah, well two things. That's why quarterback room dynamic is
so important slash unique. I mean, it's really the only
position that you only have one of. I mean, even
running backs, you're gonna share carries. But like every other
position group, there's chance of having two, maybe three out
there in the field together, maybe more. You know, that's

(36:41):
the only one that I saw you one guy, and
so it makes the dynamic of you know, if you can,
you know, kind of have your role, know your role.
But in the case of Justin Fields, he maybe felt
like he'd been in the league long enough where he
doesn't need a lot of that. Even though Foles has
won a Super Bowl, been around a long time, Dalton
had a ton of you know, successful years and runs,

(37:02):
and so you could see how that dynamic between a
young guy and an older guy can can go the
wrong direction. But I'll say this just from knowing Andy
and Nick, those are two of the nicest guys in
the world like you you can't, Like you'd be hard
you'd be hard pressed to find two nicer people and
guys who probably just want to help. Like I have
a hard time believe there's a lot of ill will.

(37:23):
You know, it seems like, you know, whatever was going on,
you know, maybe that was just a matter of justin
field just didn't see it the same way. Don't want
to listen to it.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Yeah, I just fine. I feel like gossip and rumors,
you know, you know it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Yeah, right as I get out of a quarterback room,
if it's a room and there's with that much detail,
like who's talking.

Speaker 6 (37:49):
About who's talking about it? I don't know what else, guys.
Not a good site for the Arena Football League. Teams
continue to old, including the UH the Philadelphia team, the
Iowa team, and the Georgia team, as well as Minnesota.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
They canceled their game tonight versus Albany.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
UH.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
It just is not looking good for the Arena Football League.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
UFL baby, rflr UFL.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Baby, the uf L killing well, this hour is killed. Goodbye.
