Boom on of America. Doug Gottlieb Show.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Ficksports Radio coming to you from the tyrat dot com
studios tyrat dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What you get there?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road hass protection, over
ten thousand recommended dollars tyrat dot com. That's the way
tire buying should be welcome in. So not a lot
to get to today, right, Well, you had the the
Dallas Mavericks shooting free toes like, well me all right.

(00:50):
You have the Boston Celtics finding way to win despite
the fact Donovan Mitchell doesn't play for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Lebron James and attendance that was interesting. What's Lebron doing there?
And we have Caitlin Clark playing tonight in a real
WNBA game. Will you watch? That's kind of all we

(01:14):
got got others. Hold on, hold on, I'm being told
Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio, we have some breaking.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
News, breaking news from Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Doug sources tell me that the University of Wisconsin Green
Bay is hiring Doug Gottlieb to be the school's new
men's basketball coach.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Well, hold on your clapping. We didn't confirm or deny.
I can confirm that report. So as of this very moment, actually,
as of this morning, I'm the new head coach at
Wisconsin Green Bay.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
That deserves Rod for applause. Thanks man.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Oh there's a side note. The Doug Gottlieb Show will
continue on as we've come to an agreement that this
is what we're gonna do. I love doing the show.
There we go, I love working with you guys. In
a rare turnabout, I'm returning to the state of my birth.
But Dan Byer's not. On the other hand, it's the
perfect excuse to get Dan. We're gonna make Dan Buyer

(02:26):
a Packer fan. If it's the last thing we do.
We may even turn him into a Badger fan. Right,
but the Seahawks fan I do maybe get me drunk,
you know who I mean. Listen, that's a good place
to get drunk for a game.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Right.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
So yeah, this is a real thing and there's a
lot to it, but the basics of it are you know,
I was I was kind of raised in a gym.
My dad when I was born, was a head coach
at UW Milwaukee. It's in the same league, obviously, in
the same state system. It's now the Art Trival of
Green Bay. And this has been a lifelong pursuit and

(03:03):
the ability to do it and still continue this radio
show and our subsequent podcast is all anybody could ever
ask for is an opportunity.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
You know.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I've done speeches all over the country, all over the
world about the number one thing you should you should
wish for, right and you should dream about. And people
say like, well, what do you wish for? You know,
people wish for health, they was to be live a
blessed life, you know, for their kids to do well.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
But to me, what I wish for.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
For my children, for my friends, and for myself is
just give me an opportunity, Just give me a chance.
And I get it. It's a different path. I have
not coached in college basketball, though I was blessed to
be a consultant this year for Mike Boyden at Oklahoma State.
I've done that for other schools. I've covered the game

(04:03):
for twenty one years. I played the game. It's been
about my my family's businesses basketball, and now I get
a chance to.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
To do what my dad did.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
And my brother's been in this game for almost thirty
years an assistant coach, mostly at the men's level, and
he hasn't gotten this opportunity. So I feel honored, I
feel blessed. I'm stoked, and I'm just I'm all the
words right, there's all the words of emotions, you know,
and you know I like.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Is there apprehension? Sure?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
But the big thing is this, Dan, you tell me
if this makes sense. I can. I can tell you
of my plans. I can tell you how good it's
going to be. I know it's gonna be fun. I
know it's gonna be challenging. I know it's it's going
to be very very different lifestyle for me, and I
think it's gonna be different for the players because my
style is different than I'm sure anybody else that play

(04:56):
for I also have great confidence that we will be
six tessful. It all depends on what lens you look
at success through, but I believe will be successful.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
We will, we will.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Achieve greater than whatever the individual parts are, and people
be proud and have fun going in watching our game.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
But all of these are just words.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So when November comes, you can judge me, and when
December comes, you can judge me. And I don't think
I can guarantee that you'll sit there and go like, hey,
he lived up to what his expectations were, which is
we're going to get more out of whatever we got

(05:37):
than whenever they would do individually. They will be a
cohesive group and they will have fun. And you're gonna
like coming to watch this play, right, because this is
not drudgery. Basketball is design is in aerobic activity, and
college basketball is designed to represent your university and be
the front door of the university. And oh yeah, by
the way, it's supposed to be fun. Practice every day

(05:58):
isn't always fun, you know, mine to line dudes out
and get them better and not always fun, But intel like,
we gonna have a good time. Plus like, I think
I'm gonna get really good seats to packer games.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
You Her goal of finally going to Lambo should be
accomplished down the list of things to do, but I
think with doubt.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Okay, you know what number one on the list is,
after the press conference and then getting the players and
all that other stuff. Has any Packer player ever ridden
an e bike.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
From the training camp? Uh? Yeah, I'm not sure if
it happened last year.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Okay, so listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna shout out I
have I have one good friend, Drew. I'm counting on
you to send me the coolest e bike ever. I
have my own, but I want a Packer player. I
want Jordan Love to ride my e bike. Right, that's
my that's my goal. It's like that's a should be.
It's like Americana.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
That should be goal number seven thirty two on the list. Yeah,
thank yeah. I think that we've got to get to
other things. You got to get these fighting feet and
expact to the NCAA tournament.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yes, we gotta get well.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
First, we want all the dudes that are there, we
want them all to stay, okay.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Secondly, we're gonna go get some good ones. Third, we
want we want to raise some money. Heay, because none
of this is done for free, and none this is
done for free, and then we got to start that process.
But in terms of things I want to do in
Green Bay, like I want to go to Summerfest.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Brian Anderson, who calls Brewers games, He's like, I can
maybe get you on a little Brewers broadcast.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Like brew Crew, let's go do it.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Cecil Fielders still play for them, Prince Cescil Cooper Cooper,
Cecil Cooper is confining Brewers. Yeah, Pauly Molitor robbing, robbing out, retired, kidding.
I took a visit to Marquette and we played quarters
with Mike Dean and his staff at a Brewers game
at County Stadium. Of course, haven't been to haven't been
to Miller Park, but excited to do.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
That American Family Field. All these things are changed.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Sorry, I got I got the Marcus amphitheater yesterday.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
And uh uh.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I want to have Jordan Love ride my bike.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
That's a big one.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
I have a Huffy, I have a beach Cruiser, and
I have an e bike. I think I'm gonna bring
the e bike. Jay Stu, you told me like your
phone's blowing up over this deal.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Yeah, everyone assumes that I have all the dirt and
I've been I've been getting hit up pretty consistently since
about what nine am this morning. How does this impact
your job is their main concern, because.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Oh, I'm sorry, fired, I tell you, I'm kidding.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
No, but I I'm real excited about this. I'm so
excited for you, and I'm interested to see how moving
forward things play out, because you know, I don't know
if anyone in the history of the planet has ever
hosted a national radio show and been the full time
head coach at a Division I basketball program. So I'm

(09:05):
going to get a first rows seat to see how
you accomplish these gymnastics.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Okay, Well, as you know, like I work for way
too many people this year, so now I only work
for two people. I work for the University of Wisconsin system.
And during the hours of the show in the podcast
are the hours in which there's no there's no AU
program that I get to get to be part of.
I've I got to divest in that, and I have
some really good people that all run it, and unfortunately

(09:31):
I won't be able to call, you know, college basketball
games for Compass and Fox Sports one and and Westwood
one in the NCA toternament I don't know if I
can do Westwood won the intterm. I'm gonn try to
do that because that was super cool.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Will you'll be playing in the NCAA turm, Well, that's
yeah after we win.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
After listen, Sweet sixteen is a little tough first year,
so I'm thinking for second round. But like, look, when
we get if we had beaten the Sweet sixteen, then
I could I could do radio that' that'd be cool.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Here's what I'm thinking, Dan, tell me if you like this.
I'm thinking Celtics style uniforms. Like there's a lot you
can there's not a lot you can do with green
and white. Now we're we're inn Adidas brand school, So
what do you think about like copying the classic Celtics look.
And I'm not talking about the alternative jerseys where they
can't stand with the Celtics.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
I would I would say I'm fine with that because
I love the Celtics look. Anything throwback wise again to
the glory days of the of the early nineties I
think would be appropriate and welcomed. It truly was the
glory days, Like to get down to brass hacks, Well
it was, yeah, okay, so.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Can I tell you the coolest parts about this whole thing. Okay,
First thing is, I got a call today from Danny Hurley,
Bobby Hurley. Bobby Hurley remains my idol, like I literally.
Bobby Hurley used to stand with his hands on his
back like this, and he was my idol. Both of
them called, gave me some advice, gave me a pep talk,
and sent me a cool text. But I told Jeff

(10:56):
Norgard this exact story. Okay, you guys remember what was
the what's the uh oh man? You may remember legends,
sports bar and girl, I think.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I'm still around County.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Okay, So legends. There's legends in Newport Beach, and there
was legends in Santa Monica. So Jeff Norgard and Tony
Bennett was the backcourt. You're talking about the glory days, right, Yeah,
when they.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Beat Cal Well, Tony Bennett wasn't there.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Okay, Tony was gone, Okay, but Jeff Norgard was their
star player. Yes, Okay, So when Jeff is there, I'm
watching Cal lose to Wisconsin Green Bay and my dad
had known coach Bennett forever forever, and what Jeff didn't know?
And I told him today was you don't know this,

(11:52):
but our paths crossed twice. Once was my dad had
coached against Jason Kidd, and Jason Kidd and Kevin Ollie
were on the same time team ARC and my my
dad's like best team ever got smashed by Jason Kidd,
so I already didn't like Jason Kidd. And then Jason
Kidd beat Miles Simon in the state championship at Arco Arena.

(12:14):
He got a dunk, took off his shirt, was done,
like he dominated the game. But that was that was
like modern day's like best team. They got demolished by
Jason Kidd and Saint Joe's Alameda and then of course, uh,
they also got Lou Campanella fired. Campinelli fired at at Cal.
I wasn't a Jason Kidd guy just because of those things.
I think he's he was an amazing point guard, an
amazing player. But at the time when they played Green Bay,

(12:41):
I became like the biggest Fighting Phoenix fan ever because
of that moment. It's pretty cool, right, And then today
I talked to him on the phone and I was like, hey,
I get the coach your program.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
It's really cool, really cool.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Uh. Anyway, so not a lot.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Going on, not like or not.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Right, no prob, no prob, no problem. Most interesting name
of somebody who's texted you Jasetu over this, So you're like,
why are you texting me?

Speaker 5 (13:12):
I don't think it gets any bigger than Rob Parker?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Rob Parker? Just text me tw from Rob Parker.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Oh oh Rob Parker.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Yeah, it's pretty COOLFF are you ready for all this?
There's a lot and there's a lot. There's a lot
out there, you know.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, yeah, I mean like look a lot meaning what negativity?
A lot meaning the job.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that don't think that
you can that you can do this. They look and
they say like, hey, he hasn't coached at this level.
There are people obviously bring up credit cards and those
you've I know you've addressed it before, but it's it's
out there, sure, Like how do you deal with all that?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
You know?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
As as you know, and I think I've done a
pretty good job as you know.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Though.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
The negativity that I like, was it last week or
the week before? I tweeted out about Caitlin Clark's jump
shot and it's a flawed release as she releases it
at starting it from the left side of her face,
and I asked Mike Procorpio Corps, a ruled renowned basketball

(14:26):
and development expert. Matter of fact, he was Kobe Bryant's guy.
So that's all I did. Thirteen million impressions later, and
if you go and look at the responses in that,
I'm everything from a chauvinist to a racist, to an
idiot who couldn't shoot, shouldn't tell her anything about it,
to just a blow hard hot take specialist. Right, So,

(14:51):
if you can survive in this business with the world
the cesspool of negativity, then yeah, I'm fine.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Like I'm built for that. It's okay. What I learned
I had.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I had an agent who's now the CEO of WWE's
names Nick con And I remember when I left ESPN,
I had a five year deal in my contract, five
years of my contract, and I left because I want
to be close to my family in California and I
wanted to see my kids in the afternoon. I was

(15:25):
doing four to seven radio and now I was doing
for five six months the year I was doing college basketball,
and then I was filling in other shows, so gone on
weekends for five six months and every afternoon for eleven
and a half months. Like, that's not much of a life.
So I wanted to get so there was truly family,
personal reasons, and the professional opportunity of doing the Final Four,

(15:46):
which ESPN didn't have, so I could not have left
on better terms. But then, you know, a couple years later,
there were sniping and you had people saying negative things
at that place, and Nick conn is his name, and
Nick I had drinks with him and he's like, listen,
you do know everybody hates on everybody, right. I was like, well,

(16:08):
I'm not really that way, Like I like other people
to get opportunities, like if it's not me at somebody else.
He's like, yeah, but that's not how the world works,
you know. And if they're sniping at you, it makes
them feel better about who they are. They're just projecting,
you know whatever. And I have no doubt that there's
assistant coaches out there, head coaches out there who wanted

(16:29):
that job who their first reaction is, why would you
hire that idiot? He doesn't know what he's doing. Any
human being that has ever played for me, I would
offer them call him. Any human being who has ever
played for me?

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Or coach with me.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
There was this column and they will say, like, look,
I'm not perfect, easy to play for. My son probably
gets at the hardest. But they all loved it. They
all enjoyed it. So I'm good with who I am
and I got really really thick skin. But I also
I know enough to know what I don't know. There's

(17:07):
plenty I don't know. You know I'm gonna do. I'm
gonna hire people that know what I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
You know.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
My worst flaw is I have terrible time management skills.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
I just do.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I say yes to everybody, and what ends up happening
is some people get cut short in their time or
I run over in meetings. That my first hire is
somebody who's going to handle all that for me. So
I actually think I'll be more efficient with my time
and even this show is gonna be even better. Plus,
here's the thing that this show is going to offer you.
This show is very, very real, from moving to lifestyle

(17:39):
changes to actually knowing what's going on in sports and
not just in basketball. Obviously, I'll have a great connection.
Mark Murphy has been he's he helps, he loves Green
Bay basketball, and he's become a friend, I'm not This
is not going to be a promotional network for the Packers.
I do want to point out that I was on
the Jordan Love train where everybody else hopped off the

(18:01):
train that they didn't jump off.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
That is accurate? Is that not? Guys? Yes? Okay, you
all are in love with Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I'm mom in love with there Aeron Rogers. But I'm
excited man Rogers. So Jay su how's it gonna affect
your job?

Speaker 6 (18:18):
Eh?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Eh, eh, you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
I think your job is going to be exactly the same,
slightly different. But we're gonna do training camp at the Packers.
You guys cool with come out to the Packers training camp?

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah? Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Does Ramos need to make that as well? Can we
have Ramos make that as he always that? Oh my god,
well did he get on a plane when he went
to Vegas? Because he hadn't been on a plane in tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (18:50):
They drive, We're gonna have to do the ba broncas
to get him a right.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Maybe he'll have a plane for this. We can get
him there though.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
That would be a ball or move if I if
I pulled the with the G five and said, hey,
Ramos hop In. You know, I don't know, Doug. I
got a softball game. I don't know anyway to the
now seven hundred and fifty seven of you who have
texted me and I haven't yet and got back to
I appreciate it. I told my kids this that if

(19:19):
you're dreaming this, this is the response to people who
want to laugh at it. If no one's laughing at
your dreams, might not be dream big enough. So I
am honored, I am motivated, and I am ready, And
I'm the new head coach at Wisconsin Gary Bay and

(19:40):
I ain't going anywhere with this radio show.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
This is the best of the done dot Leap show
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Oh what I put you at a lead show Fox
Sports Radio? How you doing? Are you doing? How you doing?
How you doing? Are doing? How you doing?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
I'm good?

Speaker 2 (20:01):
I mean not a lot going on.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I mean, didn't every national radio host take a Division
one head men's coaching job today?

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Did Calin do that last week or the week before?

Speaker 5 (20:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Oh yeah, that's cool stuff.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
We're broadcast laugh at the Tiret dot com students, tyret
dot com. Well we get there, unmatched election fast free
shipping free road as protection over ten thousand recommended stallars
tyret dot com. It's the way tire buying should be. Uh,
I do want to like. So here's the deal. What
Dan reported is true. I'm gonna be the new head

(20:37):
coach at Wisconsin Gering Bay. I'm still going to continue
to do the radio show and do the podcast, and
in an effort to show people that I can do
the radio show in the podcast, let me just give
you a thought here. There are things in sports, okay,
which spread quicker than covid. Right, just are the flu

(21:01):
covid a rash man. Remember when you get a rash
and you're a little kid and you start scratching, it
just gets worse and worse and worse, and then you
put the stuff onto fixing it stings like the dickens. Right,
But there are things in sports that spread, And I
believe free throw shooting and when that goes bad, it spreads. Look,
selfishness spreads one guy is selfish and the next guy,

(21:24):
especially in basketball, one guy takes a bad shot, the
coach doesn't take him out, like, well, I'm gonna take
a shot because if not, if I passed him, I'm
not gonna get it back. Selfishness and unselfishness spreads, right,
love can spread, but free throw shooting or bad free
throw shooting can spread. And yes, Luka Doncik missed a

(21:47):
gigantic free throw last night. They're down two points. He
drives in the lane. He did slip. I thought Dort
probably clipped his foot a little bit. They stepped on
feet or whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
It's so physical it's hard to tell what's what. But
it was a foul called. And Luca, who's won a
European championship, won a FOBA championship, and has seemingly been
just a stud in the biggest and toughest moments, missed
missed a free throw. And then PJ Washington when they're

(22:23):
down three and he had to make the first to
miss the second, misses the first. But he didn't just
miss the first like it was really short. It was
a twelve footer. It's thirteen six, by the way, to
make a free throw, do you guys know that most
people think it's fifteen feet thirteen six. Fifteen feet is
the backboard. So if you wanted the backboard, shoot fifteen
feet in the mid net's thirteen six, So that was

(22:44):
like a twelve footer barely nicked the front rim. And
that happens because guys are thinking about missing the second
free throw and they end up missing the first. But
you cannot possibly watch the Mavericks who have with the
exception of Derek Lively, good free throw shooters, clutch player.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
I mean PJ.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Washington's a great shoot made himself into a great shooter.
And we can say it was pressure for Luca, but
he's played in incredible pressure in the past, in the Olympics,
in the European Championships, in a FOBA Championship as well.
But I'm tony that stuff. When that ball stops going in,
it spreads, It spreads like the flu It spreads like covid,

(23:22):
it spreads like a rash. And now the Mavericks are
now things. Even they it would be up three games
to one, three games to one, that when they beat themselves,
and you could sit there and go, hey, that's disrespectful
to the thunder.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
The reality is you making free throws that win the game? Right,
making free throws they win the game. And the thunder
did play well, and chat Holmgren did make his free
throws win the Mavericks Smiths like they did what they
won the game, But that feels like one that you're
forever going to kick yourself for it at home, a

(24:00):
chance to you're not gonna You're not gonna vanquish Oklahoma City.
They weren't gonna stop fighting. But three games to one
for a young team that was trying to figure themselves out,
that changed their lineup. Some started playing Kenrish Williams, who
they hadn't played previously, Like the Thunder were lost a
little bit and the Mavericks had a chance to put
them away and did not.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
It's the spread of bad free throw shooting.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
That's why now nobody hanging on around me in college
because I shout the ball poorly from the free throw line.
So if you're just not around, I'm kidding. It is
the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio. Okay, So
here's the deal. I was naming a new head coach
at Wisconsin Green Bay. I had I've done a statement.

(24:46):
I've had other people chime in, and we have all
different sorts of quotes which are amazing, amazing, and I'm
truly appreciative of it. Tomorrow's the big day, ten o'clock
Central press conference. What do you guys say we'd have
a run through? What do you say we have a

(25:06):
run through?

Speaker 6 (25:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
A little? Now there we go.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Okay, I think we'll open it up for questions now, yes,
in the white baseball.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Yeah, that's that's me, Dan Buyer, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Dan, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. I
do have some serious questions. You said, it's a very
serious press scuse.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
You just mentioned, Doug that you are doing this radio
show and going to be coaching full time. Sure, it's
not a question of can it be done, it's why
is it being done?

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Why do you feel the need to do both? A
great question, and Dan, I.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
There's no negativity in answering that question, you see, you know,
like it's.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
A very reasonable question. Sure. The first thing is.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
I mean it allows me to take a little bit
less money for the coaching job and to pay my
assistant coaches more money. Because what I believe, and that's
why you guys are all here, is you're only as
good as everybody who's with you, right, And look, there's

(26:20):
just budget limitations if I take up all the money.
So this allows me to it continue on with about
just about the same lifestyle financially, and then make sure
that I get quality staff because there's lots I don't know,
and I want to hire people who know what I
don't know. Second part to it is, I think it's
a great promotional tool for the university, and I think

(26:43):
it's a great promotional tool for the radio show. It
speaks volumes for our bosses that they're allowing me to
do it, and speaks volumes for our bosses at Michael
Alexander who's the chancellor and Josh Boone who's the athletic director,
that they'll let me do both. But again, any time
I'm on air, we're not going to talk Phoenix basketball.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
We're just not.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Like it's not We'll talk about the topics of the day.
But it's still a promotional tool because I'm still the
head coach and for Fox Sports Radio, like they're awesome
and I was coaching anyway now it's just coaching in
a more professional manner. And oh yeah, by the way,
every time my highlights shown on any broadcast ever, it's
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Dobbley is head coach of Scott Spinda. Most networks follow
that rule, not all of them, you understand.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
You understand that point, right.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
The point is like and this is you lean into it.
You lean into it. And like, every company doesn't share that,
Every company doesn't hear it, every school doesn't share that.
But I think I think Josh Moone specifically the effect director,
understands that the positives far outweigh the negatives. And I
think the same thing for Scott Shapiro and Don Martin
thee The positives far outway the negatives. And that's how

(27:57):
I feel about. And the last thing is this, I've
I've lived life without a radio show for like six
months when I left ESPN and I went to CBS,
and I was miserable.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
It's my outlet. It's my outlet, and I.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Love college basketball, cover college basketball forever, but it doesn't
fit within the scope of what we do on a
daily basis for the most part. So it allows all
the other parts of my brain to get fleshed out,
get fleshed out. Yes in the glasses with the silver microphone.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
Hey Doug, Jason Stewart, Fox Sports Radio, Hey Jason Now
are formerly of The Jim Rome Show. Okay, Cole Stage
Fulwardton used to write for The Daily Titan, and I
want to you know, recruiting. Recruiting is a really tough battlefield,
and I don't know any coaches that have years and

(28:55):
years of tweets that could be called controversial, especially one
it has to do with the realities of the modern
game nil and the transfer portal. Is there a what
level of concern do you have that there might be
negative recruiting by your competitors, And you know I have
pointing out what you've done and said in the past

(29:17):
about the sport.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
I have complete confidence that there will be negative recruiting. Right,
Like I said, everybody hates on everybody, but I want
I want to volunteers, not prisoners, and I'm open to
any sort of conversation. And the most important thing is,
like again, times change. I was dead set against NIL

(29:41):
because I knew it wasn't going to turn to nil,
it wasn't going to reward kids. But again, when you're
stepping into this business, it becomes the reality of it.
But I do believe at this level, while like UW.
Green Bay, we have money in our collective, we had
a good little collective.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
We want to continue to grow.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
Again, it shouldn't be about the money and and in
all honesty, you guys don't know this, but uh, the
best player for the Fight in Phoenix last year was
only there for a year.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
He left.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
He went to a big twelve school and I believe
you know again, reports are he is making well into
six figures, right, And so the point is that, like,
look the way it works now is you come play
for us, and I'm going to give you a role,
and if you flourish within that role, heck, if you
get offered six figures, seven figures, I'll pick up the

(30:34):
phone and call and get you that next next job, right.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Just play for me, do the best you can.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
So that's the reality of the sport and the reality
of recruiting. Yes, there's going to be negative recruiting, and
you have to make the choicest recruiter. Do you do
you do you go negative or not? And I just
I want people. I think you people really enjoy playing
for me. I think anybody who's ever played for me
is like, man, he got he got my game right.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
He knew how to develop.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
A system and put me in the system that allowed
me to flourish. And I wouldn't be recruiting a kid
if I wasn't gonna play it. Yeah, yes, in the
floppy hair with the Caitlin Clark jersey and the the
Seans for kinglond Clark over there, Yes you sir.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Next question, Yeah, it's hello.

Speaker 7 (31:22):
This is Sam Kinsley from the Iowa Times. I'm just wondering, Doug,
what do you look What do you envision your schedule
looking like over the next six seven months and then
when you get into this season, what kind of what
are your was your day gonna look like? What you
get up and then from the time you get up
to go to the time you go to bed. What
are we looking at here as your schedule?

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Okay, Well, Sam, I don't know if you know this,
but we have a podcast, a one hour podcast which
we which goes usually live at the end of this show. Oh,
I didn't know that often, but we're gonna try. I'm
gonna try and wake up and knock out some of
the podcasts. I'm also gonna get up and work out,

(31:59):
and then I'm to start my day and I'll have
my set plan call with with with Jason. Well, usually
we do nine o'clock Pacific Coast time, so that means
eleven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Central standard time.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Jason can change that, can move that or whatever, and
we'll develop the show then and then we'll come in
and rock and roll, and I'll be a basketball coach
until it's time to do the radio show. And again
I'm using financially it, Mike, I'm using some extra money
to have quality coaches who can man the con if

(32:36):
you will, while I'm doing radio show. And then when
the radio show's over at four o'clock local time, We're
gonna go out and prior practice.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I also, I don't believe.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
In practicing for three three and a half hours.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
I think you lose.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
I'd much rather go for an hour in the morning
and an hour and fifteen in the evening. I think
all of our attention spans are better that way. I
think you get more out of it. So I think again,
and as you live and as you learn, you got
to worry about their classes as well. But it's actually,
I don't want to say easier, but I'm gonna say
easier to be the head coach than the assistant coach

(33:09):
because you do get to plan and have practice time.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
You got followed, Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (33:15):
Yeah, uh, mister Gottley coach Gottlieb just questioned, like, let's
put this scenario out there. It's a Sunday. You have
a game, big game on a Sunday. You also have
NFL to pay attention to. How are you going to
balance those two things?

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Well, I'm gonna watch on my phone while I'm coaching. No,
I'm kidding, I'll look toward the games. You know, I've
done AU games. I've done you know, four AAU games
on a Sunday, and you would never know on a
Monday because when I get home, you just watch all
the games.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
So there you go.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
There's not a lot of games on a Sunday. There's
not a lot of conflict with with the NFL. And
oh yeah, by the way, whenever the Package are playing,
we ain't playing because that'd be the dumbest thing ever, right,
we ain't playing on when the Packers play on Saturday,
We're not playing a Saturday. Package play on Sunday. We
play on Sunday play And there's not that much of
a care.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Yes, Dan Bark radio host Doug Gottlieb hates when this happens,
but it is a two part question. The previous coach
left for his dream job, SU at Wyoming, but did
so after just one year. What are your plans long
term Green Bay? Is this a quick bitstop or is
there more to that? And then I will have a

(34:24):
follow up after this question.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Well, look, if it's a long term that that means
they must like me and I'm doing well. And if
it's a short term, that must mean I would be
doing really well. I will tell you that because Sundance
Wicks and Sonny who left, he did a great job.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
He left after one year.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
There is a hefty, hefty buyout for the first couple
of years, and so it would take it would take
a lot, take a lot. And you know, look, my
dream job was just filled by Steve Blutz. I hope
he does incredibly well. That thing's not coming open anytime soon.

(35:00):
So let's just worry about this team and this roster.
But the plan is not one and done, two and done.
The plan is let's go and fire up and do
the best we can in short order.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
And the second question is a mid may start not
ideal for a new college basketball coach, let alone one
who has not coached at this level before. What is
your biggest challenge considering the late start that you've now
got on this job.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Look, I mean like it's challenging because a lot of
the people I like, Yeah, I talked to one of
the elite junior college coach in the country is like, man,
this happened three weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
I had dudes for you. Whatever.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
When you coach AAU basketball you don't know who's going
to be there until layup lines, and even sometimes then
they're running into the game, right and you've got to
find inventive ways to get guys. So my dad was
doing this for thirty years. My brother has been in
the business for thirty years. We got an army of
people to help us find players. Gotta find nudes, and

(36:05):
there's players out there. And the big thing is, I
want to keep all the players that are currently planning
on playing for the Phoenix next year. So let's figure
out if we can keep all of them. There's eight
of them, I want them all to say, and then
we'll add in hopefully five really good players.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Yes, Doug Jo, this is Greg Doyle, Indie Stark. As
long as you say you love me and rub up
against me every day, we'll do just fine. I do
have a question, yes, So one of the reasons I
your producer Jason Stewart signed up for this job is

(36:42):
because you have a certain approach. You embrace controversy. You're
not afraid to say things that that most people aren't,
especially in these politically correct times. As you're representing a university.
Can we expect to still be provocative as a broadcaster

(37:04):
and would that would that if you are, would that
not bring undue attention to you and your program?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
I think it's a really fair question. It's probably the
hardest one to tackle. But I think as long as
you stay away from race and politics, right and s
e X, I think you're good, you know, just sports.
Like we're here to give sports opinions. You know, if
you can't handle sports opinions, then it's going to be
a struggle to be you.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
So there's your answer.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Any else, mister buyer, you have another one? You're good,
Shaggy do you're good?

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Feeling good on these answers?

Speaker 6 (37:45):
Doug?

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Sorry, Coach Gottley, you don't, Doug, We're good? Like Yeah,
Should I go by? I don't know you personally? Should
I go by? Coach gottlieb coach d Coach g Doug?
What do you guys think coach. Gottlieb is good coach, Yes,
a coach.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Coach. Do you would honor your your history and your family?
Do you guys?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Do you guys like the the the the sayings like
the you know the Dion Sanders's I ain't hard to find.
I got one for you. Ready, tell let me hit
you with this, Dan, tell me if you like it.
If you need me, I'll be in the gym.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
You know you do have some wax stuff. You say
that actually is pretty good.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
That's pretty I thought he was gonna kill it. I
thought he's gonna kill it. I did he that was
a good pregnant pause. I was like, Oh, that actually
is is pretty good. Okay, what coach?

Speaker 7 (38:42):
Golly, what if we need you and you're doing your
radio show if you need me in the gym, So
you're gonna do your radio show for if you need
me except for two.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Hours, I'll be in the gym, except except for three hours.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Every day.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Thoroughbred Racing has a new independent. Thank you so much
for coming. If you need me, here's my cell phone,
text me and tweet me whatever.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Fox Sports Radio had the best sports talk lineup in
the nation yet catch all of our shows at Fox
Sports Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Mm hmmm, uh, don't want to work.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Uh, hope you're having a great day, Doug Gottlieb Show,
Fox Sports Radio. Uh, did you guys hear what Kirk
Cousins said about the Atlanta Falcons draft team Michael Pennox

(39:42):
with the eighth pick in the first round? You didn't, Oh,
take a listen.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Kirk Cousins the Falcons. There's no there's no beef involved. No,
and I don't think there can be. I don't think
it's helpful. Like we're trying to win a super Bowl.
It's hard enough. Let's all be on the same page
and let's try to go in a super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
So that's that's that's Kirk taking the high road after
I think most everybody knows that he was not happy
about the draft pick. And I do think there's a
reasonable part to not being happy about the draft pick
because you're like, dude, first round pick, he's one of us,
is not gonna play.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
You drafted a backup bud.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
What are you gonna do? You're coming off an achilles,
you're in your thirties. They got to prepare for the future.
Let's welcome in John Milcoffe. He joins us on the
Doug Outley Show. John has a great pod on the
Volume podcast network. It's called three and Out. What do
you think of Kirk's sudden kind of change and response?

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Well, I think before we dive into cousins, congratulations is
in order. I have a couple of play ideas that
I will text you over that I want run in
game one.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
Okay, well, listen, there's good golf in Green Bay in
the summer and maybe fall and hey, look you can
come out and see a Packer game and help. You
can help implement that. You can tell you you can
put the plays in. Okay, you can have you can
coach the team, but you got to give to our
collective in order to do so.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
Okay, are you going? Are you going to become a
season ticket holder with agreement backers?

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Now?

Speaker 6 (41:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Ready, anyway, thank you?

Speaker 1 (41:19):
I want to Let's let we'll talk about that in
a second, but first let me just get to this, like,
let's let's do our job.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
What do you what do you think of? Uh? I mean,
what do you think of how it all works?

Speaker 1 (41:27):
In in Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Well, I think the biggest question mark always like ultimately,
you know, the key to acquiring players in drafter free
agency is character, right, is knowing the way the guy's wired.
And say this for Cousins, he's been through a lot.
And I listen to a little bit of that podcast
this morning. He talked about going back to his time
with Michigan State when D'Antonio to Oldham basically, well, I

(41:54):
got five guys and if any of them commit, you're
not coming. And then he finally didn't get any of
those guys, signs Cousins and then like two weeks later
they signed Foles and like, what the hell you told me?
I was your quarterback. So he's kind of been competing
his whole career. I think the one thing we know
about Cousins is at this point in time in his career,

(42:14):
married guy, multiple children, he's a pretty mature guy. Uh,
not an ideal situation, but he had no control over us.
And the other thing is they drafted a high character,
mature guy too, So I think things that are out
of those two control. And you and I have been
talking about it since the pick is like OTA's could
get weird just because Cousins is in the training room

(42:36):
and Penis is playing. But I think we all probably
agree that Cousins is probably going to handle this well.
He has one hundred plus million dollars two to handle
it correctly. He has a no trade clause, so he
doesn't have to worry about them just dumping them off
if you know, they start kind of leaning to Panix,
Like he does have some juice. It's not quite an

(42:56):
NBA contract, but it's closer to that than your typical
NFL content, So I wouldn't be too worried about him
in terms of the actions the treatment of other guys.
I think that will be fine to me. It's more
on the other young impressionable player, which their team is
kind of full of.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Yeah, I think there's that, and I also think there's
the if you look at that group in the front
office collectively, they haven't done great in drafting, right, So
it's like, this feels like a weird plan and the
lack of communication with that plan to their quarterback, which
they don't have to, but again, like, if there's nothing

(43:36):
nefarious at work, why not communicate with him?

Speaker 3 (43:39):
So I think the other thing is Doug is the
defense just isn't that good. It wasn't very good last year, right,
Obviously the quarterback play, so raheem morph who's the good
Who's proven to be a good defensive coordinator with the Rams?
One thing we've seen when their defense are playing well,
Like they got really good players, obviously led by Aaron Donalds.
But you know, last year part of their huge jump

(43:59):
back to relevancy was they've nailed a bunch of draft picks.
So if their defense is bad, like look at Tampa Bay,
you know, Baker is just solid again, Like that team
is full of pretty high level players. I mean, that's
not a team going away and the same if Kubiak
is an upgrade and offensive coordinator. I mean, for as

(44:20):
weird as their season was last they were right there.
I mean they were nine to eight, So you would
assume that Derek will because the offense was their downfall
last ter. Derek played bad in a lot of games,
so their offense is better. Everyone's just penciling in Atlanta
as the division champs. Like I am definitely not comfortable
doing that. I know that.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
Okay, let me let me ask you about what the
Detroit Lions chose to do. I mean, it was announced yesterday, right,
what do you think of the contract tension?

Speaker 3 (44:53):
Well, obviously I think in a perfect world he liked
off a little less money, but it kind of is
the going rate. He's proven to be one of the
better quarterbacks in the NFC, honestly, going back to when
he had good years with the Rams, like he has
a large body of work now, multiple teams. They love
the guy. The team loves the guy. You know, think

(45:15):
about the Ford family. Their number one seller for Ford
is the F one fifty. It's not a Ferrari, right,
it's not a Porsche.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
You know, you know, you know it used to be.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
And this does to help your point, does to help
your point even more. The number one selling car for
our lifetime was the Ford Taurus.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
It's just a consistent car. You know it's going to work,
and a little like that with God. And let's face it,
the way these contracts work, there will come a day
three or four years down the line where that contract
is somewhat impactful, but for the next several years it's
just not. And you know you can win with Jared Goff.
So let's face the teams kind of live in the

(45:55):
front and think about this Doug you know when they're
extending Jared goff and the Eagle extended Jalen Hurts. Think
about the two guys like one guy you know exactly
what you're getting that. There's still some uncertainty with Jalen,
like how does he handle different quarterback or coordinators. Is
he a consistent, you know, high level player. I would
pencil Jared Gostin right now as an NFC pro bowler,

(46:16):
which is one of the three best player, three best quarterback. Now,
part of it is the NFC does not have Mahomes Burrow,
Herbert Lamar. It's not it's You're Purty and dak Right
and maybe Jordan Love and we'll see what Kayleb Williams.
So I think that also factors in. Plus, once you
get a quarterback that you know, like Jared Goffs won

(46:38):
in the playoffs, it's not like Tua, like you know
that you can go to a playoff game and win
with the guy. The other thing is clearly he benefits
from playing in a controlled environment. Had a lot of
success with the Rams in a warm weather climate. Now
he plays indoors. Well, they play eight or nine home
games every single year, and plus Minnesota given here. He
might have ten indoor games. I think you feel comfortable

(47:02):
with that.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
He's he's Matt Ryan.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
Right well, and it's not like he came out it.
It's not like wow that god, no, no, but but.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
He's Matt He's he's Matt Ryan. You know, maybe not
as good like he's Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan was the
same thing. Consistent. Guys liked him. He's fine, he's good.
I just the question becomes, well, you know, longevity ends
up spreading out kind of the the cap hit. You know,
did they overextend themselves because he's not a top, he's

(47:34):
not a dude, He's a guy behind the dudes. Right,
that's a fair way to Okay, So if you're the Packers,
what do you do with Jordan love.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
Well behind Jordan love right because the Packers right now,
based on his eight games, probably would not throw this
in front of them. So let's say they threw more
of the cousins, like one hundred guaranteed, not one hundred
and seventy. If I'm Jordan love and I'm feeling pretty confident,
I go to a couple O. Ta's like, I'm gonna
be pretty good again. I might play it out, you know,

(48:05):
and then maybe the packers are more aggressive by October
to be like, here's one hundred and fifty million dollars. Right, So,
if I'm Jordan Love, like, if you put yourself in
issue that we represented them, if we were pretty optimistic
on the player, wouldn't you just let it ride for
a little bit?

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Look that's the old bet on yourself. I understand it.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
I think it's just it's fascinating, like what is the
what is the if you're Jordan Love, Like, what's the
amount to you go? Like if I wait, maybe I
can get fifty, but right now, maybe I can get
like thirty a year for a guy who's making I
think eight this year, like.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
A lot of money.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Do you think he would sign like the Baker Mayfield
Cousins kind of deal, like in that forty to forty
five million dollars right now?

Speaker 2 (48:53):
I would? I would.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
I just wonder what you look at these because if
you go, what if I'm top two or three quarterback
in the conference?

Speaker 1 (49:02):
Okay, but what if you're not?

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Yeah, there's a risk. Yeah, it's very risky.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
Yeah, it could argue it's.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Probably it's probably not as risky as we think, right,
because there's a lot of quarterbacks. I mean, like, look,
Baker failed in in Cleveland, got run out of Cleveland,
went and he had that incredible Monday night game. I
was there again, you know, for the Rams. But you know, like, look,
once you've been a starting quarterback, if they people feel
like you have upside potential and you know you're a
guy can stand in front of a room and lead

(49:30):
a team of guys like you're gonna have value. Everybody
people need a quarterback. But I probably would. That's that's
what I would do. I would get it done early.
And if you're him, you get done early and just go, hey,
let's let's redo this thing in like three four years.
Then it could be sixty seventy five. Or you know,
you got life changing money in the bank. Whereas if

(49:51):
if you have to wait, if you have to wait
to get fifty, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
If I was the Packers right now, I'd be offering
I'm like, hey, here, three for one hundred, we'll basically
guarantee the whole thing. It averages the low thirty. And
that would definitely make him think right, because hey, you
get your leg chat or something like that happens. It's
just it's pretty safe. And also, if he is really good,
it's one of the best discount contracts in the league.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
All right, are you really coming to Green Bay? You
can really come visit me?

Speaker 3 (50:16):
Well, heck, I mean how long I know you've been
in the coaching world and snipped around. It got real today.
I guess it's been real for you for a while.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
But no, no, no, it was.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
This is a job I was a finalist for last
year and didn't get and a guy named Sundance Wicks
got it. Sunday did a great job. He was a
coach of the year. He went from four wins eighteen
wins and he just got the Wyoming job. I think
Saturday or Sunday. So it happened really really fast.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
What's the key taking over a job like this? Obviously
you've been coach at a high level. He's coach youth,
you know. I mean the thing about college basketball, right.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Is, you know what, no one's ever done it without
what good players?

Speaker 1 (50:56):
Correct get good players like I. I can I Can
I coach him?

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (51:02):
Can I make him cohesive?

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (51:05):
You know?

Speaker 1 (51:05):
Can I build? Can I build a community?

Speaker 2 (51:08):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (51:08):
Am I will I'm going to hire people that know
what I don't know, and we're gonna roll. But you
know what really makes you good coach? When I was
I'll tell you one real quick story. The help me
out buyer. I'm blanking for a second. The longtime legendary
coach at Houston of the five Slama Jama I wanted
a huge Durham was Georgia de Side. He was Lefty
Lefty Griselle was Maryland. What was the name of the

(51:30):
coach at Houston?

Speaker 3 (51:32):
Man?

Speaker 2 (51:32):
What what is Sam Key? Turn as? Mike? Please?

Speaker 1 (51:36):
That would that would help?

Speaker 2 (51:37):
Go ahead? Go ahead? Yeah, I'm sorry, go ahead, Dan.
I was just thinking Lewis Lewis.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
So Guy Lewis might I was at I was at
a coach's clinic with my dad when I was a
little kid, and Guy Lewis had one of those overhead projectors,
and you know, and all these coaches to come up
and spoke and he's like man, He's like, man, I've
listened to all these coaches offense, defense, amazing. You got
amazing basketball minds here. And he draws up a key

(52:08):
with the top of the key whatever. He draws up
five exes and five o's. Now, this is time tested
at the University of Houston. We have done this for
years and years, and it's the key to any college
basketball program. If you have five exes that are better
than their five o's, you're gonna be a hell of
a coach.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Right.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
So there's obviously a lot more to it than that,
But what's the number one key?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
Keep the dudes?

Speaker 1 (52:34):
You got go out and get some good dudes.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
Won your first recruiting call.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
M What have we done?

Speaker 3 (52:42):
Yeah? About a couple of hours.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Yeah, I mean, if I'd be lying to you, if
I didn't say I've been on the phone all day,
I can't imagine Middle Coffee. Are the best man, Love
the pod, Love you joining me. Can't wait to play
some golf with you, probably up in the tundra.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
Thanks for joining me as
