Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hello, everybody, we are scrubbing in.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yes we are, And if you are a Traders fan,
it's a lonely, sad Thursday because it's your first Thursday
without an episode to watch.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
But fear not, fear not, indeed, because last minute, we
have been informed that we have a very special guest
joining us on today's episode.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yes, she is a traitor, she is a survivor and.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
What else?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Now she's a scrubb or Now, So without further ado,
let's please welcome Parvety Shallow.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Hello, Parvety.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Wow, what an intro. Hi.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I don't know if you understand how important this is
that you are scrubbing in today?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Tell me how is it?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Okay? Well, first of all, Tanya is maybe Survivor's number
one fan of all time.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yes, that is me.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Oh that's a big title. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
And I've watched like your seasons very within the last year,
all of them.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Oh wow, yeah, okay, Yeah, I'm picking up what you're
putting down.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
So I have never watched a season of Survivor in
my life. But she took this on and all she
talks about is Survivors. So when Traders came out and
then I think you your relationship got announced and I
was like, well, I have that in common with her,
so if we have her on the podcast, I can
talk about being in a queer community and have that conversation.

(01:55):
And then Tanya told us about Traders and was like,
please watch it. It's so good. And my girlfriend and
I just binged it this past weekend, like the entire season.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh wow, yeah, you handled it. I think that's probably
the best way to watch it, because they were dripping
it and people were on the edge of their seats,
and then you have to wait a week, so binging
it is a way to go.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I literally told beck I was like, I was jealous
that you got to binge it all because it was
such a travesty to have to wait every week to
find out what was going on. I was like, at
least you got to just go, go, go.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah. People were highly dysregulated for weeks on end waiting.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I know, we couldn't even stop watching it, like I'd
finally go, we have to go to bed, and I
would have dreams about being in the Trader. You know,
it was all encompassing for the weekend.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, we have that in common too. I've had a
lot of Traders dreams, really so much when the show
was airing, I would continue to have dreams about it
in different scenarios and playing this game. Yeah, it just
seeps into your subconscious at a really deep level.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I mean I feel like, so, I'm like, there's so
much to cover with you. I don't really know where
to start, but I do. I did want to say
that we have a mutual friend. And I was telling
her that you were going to be on my podcast
and she was like, tell her. I said, Hi, Sarah
Michelle Geller.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Oh my god. I love that she's our friend. I
my role model growing up was Buffy. I modeled my
whole life after her. So my Survivor persona, my Trader's persona,
it's all informed. You cannot pull me and my personality

(03:38):
apart from Buffy. That is Sarah Michelle Gellen.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
So funny because we were working out together and somehow
we got on the topic of Traders that we were
both were watching it, and she was like, oh, I'm
friends with Poverty and I was like, oh my gosh,
I'm such a Survivor fan and so we went on
a whole thing and she, yeah, She's like, party's my friend.
I was like, party too.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Okay, now we all have to go out for espresso,
Martine perfect perfect.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
I don't know do we start with Traders? I feel
like we just yeah, I have.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
So many questions. It's just fresh on my mind.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Okay, go ahead, Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I want to know if you felt, like, well, when
you went into Traders, if you had a game plan.
Were you hoping to be a trader? Were you hoping
to be a faithful?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I wanted to be a faithful and then get recruited
as a trader the later in the game, because I
saw that as a sure path to winning for me.
I thought, it's going to be really hard for me
to hold a lie for the entire time. But if
I could come in and be a faithful in the
beginning and I can really establish the relationships from a
place of authenticity and then get recruited as a trader

(04:39):
and then nobody would know. I thought I could like
hold the lie for a short amount of time. Fine,
so you wanted to get recruited just later than you
actually did, right now, Kate?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Think if I would have been recruited in the position
that Kate was recruited in. I could have won.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
What for sure? You could have won?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, yeah I felt guilty. She felt guilty. I was like, no, why,
I don't know guilty.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I feel like, do you think did you watch season
one of Traders? Yes? Do you think that? I feel
like having like normies mixed in with reality stars I
think was a benefit to season one because I felt
like in season two because there were the cliques like
the housewives, and they all like trusted each other and
there was all this like trust. Do you feel like

(05:28):
it worked against you that everybody kind of had a
person there?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah? I think it did. In My person was Sandra,
and we had beef, so I didn't have a friend, Like,
come on, I just need one friend. So Dan was
really my friend. He was the one person who, like
I felt comfortable with and could have a good conversation
with no one else. I didn't have that with anybody else.
And I think coming in from Survivor, people knowing who

(05:55):
I was, people assuming I'd want Survivor twice, even though
that was Sandra, Like people always say I'm the one
who won twice, and then knowing, well, that's I guess.
The reputation that I have is this cutthroat survivor player
and I can't shake that. In addition to that, so me,
my girl from season sixteen Micronesia won the first season

(06:17):
of US Traders. They know that we played together, so
I'm like coming in with probably the biggest blinking me
on sign, like get rid of this girl immediately. And
the clicks didn't help because I wasn't in any of that.
If I had a bit in them, I would be like, this,
look's that great? I love it?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Did you try to weasel your way into any of
the clicks? I dried so hard.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
I dried so hard, but everyone was so threatened by me,
and they just kept shutting me down everywhere anytime I
came into a room. So I was just like meet me,
like making my squiny face walking around.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
I did feel like that, Like I literally was like
and I felt sad for you because I love you
so much. I'm like, why does nobody want to be
friend parvany? Like what is happening?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I think this happens for me on these kind of
game shows. Now, Like my reputation has terrified men and
women alife. So they're like, I don't think I want
to play with you. I'm too scared. Even though it
was fifteen years ago, right, and I've lived a lot
of life. I've changed a lot of not the same.
I don't have the same strategy as I once had.
But you know, maybe I should. Maybe I should just

(07:20):
go in clean, sweep, kill all the guys, take him
into the end and call it a day, take my
cash prize, and get out of there.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
I do feel like if Dan hadtn't given a little
hint about Phaedra at the round table, I think you
and Faeder could have taken it to the end. I
really do.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Phaeder one could have. There was like a lot of
suspicion on me, and Peter was such a blood I
don't know. I was trying so hard to get him
off of my bone.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
It was not he would not get it could have
lasted longer, but I think Parverdy was toast at one point.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Well, I was just I was trying to figure out.
I guess the best case scenario for you going in
with that reputation would have been what you originally wanted
was to get recruited as a trader at the end.
That makes sense because you weren't in the clicks. You're
on your own. My favorite scene I think of the
whole season is when you and Phaedra. It was just

(08:17):
you two left as Traders, and y'all were like going
back and forth and it was like, let's burn this
house to the ground. It was so dramatic and fun.
I loved it every second of it.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
No, my favorite part was when you had to get
ec and suit a drink out of the chalice. I
was kind of bummed they didn't give the Traders any
more challenges like that, because that was truly the best,
like the peak of the season too.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, it was really fun.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
It's where I Shine gave me a mission, a covert
ofp I will excel. Yeah. I was really pumped to
do that one.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
For people that maybe are going to be in like
the next seasons of Traders. Did you learn anything this
season that you wish you would have known to take
in you if you were to, let's say, maybe come
back at some point. Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Anytime I play these games, it's like the first game
is kind of a mess, you're just learning on the fly,
But the second time I go in, I'm like Okay,
Now I kind of have an understanding. I would say,
if you're going in to play this game for the
first time, then just know you're going to be operating
on zero sleep and everyone is going to be panicking.

(09:22):
So if you feel like you're panicking, it's okay because
everyone else is also panicking. So don't assume anyone's got
anything figured out. Everyone is just a hot mess, flying
by the seat of their pants, freaking out. So if
you can just tolerate, build your tolerance tolerance, yes, build
your tolerance for chaos as much as you possibly can.

(09:43):
Just go do escape rooms, especially ones where there's jump
scares and like people trying to fake murder you and
the escape rooms like go do that kind of stuff.
Take an improv class, do whatever you need to do
to put yourself in these very uncomfortable, awkward situations where
you have to like be cool and have a conversation
or think straight, and that will help support your nervous

(10:06):
system to do well in the show.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
I have a logistical question just because I just want
to like when I'm want I have some for Survivor too,
so get ready for that. So do you guys all
have the same bedtime like do when you go to sleep?
Is everybody go to sleep and then you have to
close your door and then the traders come out and
do their thing, and then what time do you wake
up in the morning? Like is breakfast a specific call time?
Like what's going on with all the logistics of it?

Speaker 1 (10:29):
They have a whole production schedule and you're just a
cog in the machine, like you don't make you don't
have any control or power whatsoever as a contestant, but
they have it all set up so that the traders
won't be revealed, so everything's kind of staggered. It's very
cloak and dagger like the trade. Everyone's kind of putting
cloaks over their heads going to bed at night.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yeah, but what's the bedtime? Is there like a bedtime?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Not really because sometimes they would do one episode a day,
so it's like a day you have the breakfast, the mission,
the chitch around table, and then those will be really
long days and then if you're a trader, you're going
into the turret and that could last another hour or two.
So traders are going to bed really late, like four
am sometimes.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
And then what time did y'all have to get up?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
For breakfast, like seven, I'd get like three hours of sleep.
I was out of my mind.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
It would have been a horrible version of myself in
that saying. It would have just been They would have
been like, let's get rid of her. She's the worst
mood ever.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Twenty seven people's moods definitely started to take a big hit.
I mean, I was just glaring at people.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
By the end, I was telling Dounia because she always
references you won't survive her and known as like a villain,
but you are so likable, and I feel like, you know,
normally with the villain, you're not really rooting for them.
And I was saying my girlfriend and I, we found
ourselves rooting for you, Like we were so bummed when

(11:59):
you got sent home, even though we knew it was
inevitable how things were going and no one was believing you.
We were like, dang, this sucks. But at the same time,
you're like, shouldn't we be rooting for the faithfuls? I
don't know. It was an interesting mind game.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
It kind of messes with your mind. I think the
thing is that the reason I have the villain label
is because I play these games unapologetically. Yeah, like, I'm
going to emotionally manipulate you. I am going to backstab
you and lie to you. And that's part of the game.
That's how we win Survivor, that's how you win Traders.

(12:34):
Everyone has to do that to win. But I think
as a woman, that label kind of stuck to me
because I won Survivor because this it's really interesting. And
then when I played season twenty Heroes Versus Villains, it
was we were separated into villains versus heroes. That's when
I really got the villain label because they put me

(12:57):
on the villains truck. Oh yeah, Who of the other
women who were in my alliance with me on season
sixteen that played the game with me and did all
the same backstabbing, lies, sneaky moves that I did, they
were placed on the heroes tribe. So what I take
away from that is if a woman wins, she's a villain.

(13:18):
If a woman loses, she's a hero. She's I'm like,
I don't mind being called a villain. Yeah, I think
we should all strive for that as women, to be unapologetic,
play your game to the best of your ability, and
play to win and take everyone else out along the
way you want to live your life like that, but

(13:38):
when you're playing these games, do it? No, you are.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
I have so many questions. I don't even know where to, Like,
I really want to, I'm like being pulled to Survivor,
but I'm a stay on Traders right now. I need
your thoughts on because you are such like a game
player and all the stuff that went down with MJ
and I feel like there was this big thing of
like the game players just eat as gameplay and the
non game players or emotions like were hurt to me

(14:04):
CT and Trischelle did her so dirty because isn't the
whole point of the game for the faithfuls to win
and share the pot? They knew she was a faithful.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Yeah, I think so. I wasn't there, so I can't
really speak to anything that was going on behind the scenes.
I just know from what I've heard from Trischelle and
what I've heard from MJ, because I haven't really chatted
with CT about it. But apparently Trischelle says that she
had a little shadow of a doubt that CT was
could have been a Trader, so that's why she voted
for him.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I believe that, I do believe Trischelle had a little bit,
but CT did not. And to me, I'm like, he
did her so dirty, Like that was dirty.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, and she's still stood up for him. MJ still
wouldn't write his name down at the end, like, right,
that's the shock I think that there's inside of these games.
I think what happens is it really kind of brings
you back to like your childhood, sort of like your
middle school or school experience. And if the way that

(15:02):
you survived and gained popularity and did well in school
was through loyalty, through honor, integrity, taking care of people,
then you're going to have a really hard time adapting
to that kind of experience in these games. And betrayal
is such a key component in these games. So MJ

(15:22):
just couldn't handle being the betrayer. I guess it was
more comfortable for her to be the betrayed, to be
the victim, yeah, to be the perpetrator. And I think
that's just like kind of human nature, Like none of
us really want to be the perpetrator, right, you know,
It's easier to be the victim because then we can
be mad and then we can point and shoot at
the people who were mad at but it was also

(15:43):
her own fault.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah. We always joked that if we went on the
show together, it would be brutal because I would be
able to lie straight to her face if she asked
me if I was a trader.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I would never remind her. I would tell her. I'd
be like, I'm a trader, but let's be in on
this together.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
But I'd be I'd I think, yeah, I think going in.
I go in like, this is a game. There's no
personal feelings in this. I'm just trying to play the game.
And Tanya would definitely take it personal.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Yeah, I would disown you.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
I see that maybe you guys should have played Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Was like, maybe we don't ever do that. But I
did notice that the reunion, you could tell the people
that had come from a competition game show were very
much it felt a lot more lighthearted and like Joky,
and then the people who weren't from game shows still
were holding a lot of emotions and anger.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, I mean we've cut our teeth, like Dan, Janelle,
like Sandra, We're like, none of this is personal. I
remember my first couple of seasons on Survivor. The jury
speech is at the end of the game when the
power shifts to the jury and it's everyone has been
voted out, They're so angry, they're so bitter, bitter and vengeful.

(16:59):
I've been on the receiving end of that now multiple times,
so I'm like, I've had a kind of I've had
decades to process this stuff. I'm sitting there like laughing
at everyone. I'm like, yeah, I get how you're feeling.
It's okay to feel that way.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
I know you just were taking it all in with
a smile on your face.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, because it's so it's so silly and like, I
think that's the thing about Traders that I really enjoyed
is the camp factor and alan comming and drama and
the theater of it all. I'm like, oh, I'm just
gonna play into this character because that's what makes it fun. Yeah.
If I started taking it too seriously, I would have

(17:38):
been miserable because it was actually psychotic the whole experience.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
So how long was the filming period?

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Three weeks?

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Three? Yeah, And how long ago did y'all shoot it?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
We shot it last fall, so sometime in October.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Oh, wow, would you do it again?

Speaker 1 (17:56):
I would do it again. I would because it's like
it's short from paying for long term game, you know,
like addicting.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Kind of totally okay, But what if what if Traders
producers and Survivor producers called you at the same time
to go on either one of those shows and you
could and they were filming at the exact same time,
and you had to pick one.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
I would pick Traders.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
You wow, yeah, Survivor Queen.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
But I've done Survivor now four times. I think with Traders,
I had a little bit more wiggle room around the
reputation peace where people were willing. They knew my reputation,
but they didn't really know right, so they were willing
to keep me around. On Survivor, I'm target number one.
Everyone comes at me, They're like, oh, this is her arena.
We got to get her out immediately. It's just I

(18:45):
just think it will be harder work. And also Traders
is nice. They like give you kombucha.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, you all have like a full decade in breakfast and.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Dinner, sleeping on sand and bambastis.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
I was not to say that would be my immediate answer.
Take away any of the other logistics, like.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
You get snacks, a shower, it's so nice.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Okay, We're gonna move into Survivor so that Tanya can
ask all of her burning questions.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Make mine really quick, because I know that you want
to ask her some questions as well, so I'll make
mine like really quick. I need to know how long
the walk is to tribal council.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Oh well, it's changed every season. Season thirteen, Cook Islands,
we had to fake paddle out a giant outrigger canoe.
We had to push it out into the water. Everyone
get in. Then they'd have a helicopter come and shoot
the scene of us pushing the thing out and like paddling,
and then we'd have to turn around the boat, row

(20:01):
it back into camp, push it back up on shores.
We're all soaking wet, and then we'd get into a
blacked out van or a blacked out speedboat and they
would shoot us over to tribal console and we would
just be completely soaking wet. So I'm the show has
evolved since then. They don't do that anymore. You just
hop right into the speed.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Oh so you're not okay, Oh my gosh, I don't
know that you were in a speedboat because they make
it seem like it's this like long treacherous walk to
tribal and they always show you guys walking with your
torches and we watch it every week and I'm like,
how long is this hike? Like I'm thinking it's like
a thirty mile hike. Shook that they put it away.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
I'm so sorry. I feel like I just told you
Santo's not real.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Helo.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I feel really bad about that. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
It's okay, Like we just hop in a speedboat. We're chilling.
Best part of the show right.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Right, kick our heels up.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I'm like, damn, wow, but listen what that said. Everything
on Survivor is brutal, intense and so real, and there's
like people are like, oh, but you don't go to
a hotel and like sleep in a bed at night
and they don't give you dinner, Like, no, you are
sleeping in the dirt. The only time you get in
a vanner a speedboat is to take you to like

(21:15):
a far off island where they have the production set
up for Tribal or something like that.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Okay, My second question is the season that you did
with Sandra Well that she won spoiler alert spoiler do
you think do you think you should have won that season.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Of course, yes, I have been saying this.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
I have been saying this for years, and like, no
shade to Sandra, but I'm like, she did not deserve
to win that season.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Sometimes that happens and survivor too, and it's very disappointing
when the person who is the rightful winner doesn't win, right.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
I course I feel that way. I played so hard.
That was my best game.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I think I think so too.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, is that the one I should watch?

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Russell?

Speaker 2 (22:01):
The season?

Speaker 1 (22:01):
I said, Russell, if you take Sandra to the end,
she's gonna win. Because every time we sat on that
jury and she talked, the jury would start grinning and
fawning all over her. I was like, do you not
see this happening? They love her and he's like, no,
she hasn't done anything. Nobody cares. Everyone's gonna nobody's gonna
vote for her. And I was like, you're stupid, You're
gonna rue the day.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
No, that is not the season I want you to
Although that's a good season, but I want her. I
can't remember the season, but it was the one that
you won. The season that you won sixteen sixteen, that's
the season that you need to watch because it is
one of the most iconic seasons in Survivor. I mean,
the things that you get these men to do, it's
like it blows my mind. Like I'm like, I need

(22:43):
whatever tricks these women have up their sleeve. Like when
I was dating, if I had that, I would have
been You don't even know.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
That's so My girlfriend and I have never watched any
Survivor and we've always just it's just so there's so
many seasons that it's a little overwhelming. And after we
were watching Trader, She's like, I'd be down to watch
Parveties one of her seasons of Survivor. I'm like, I
bet you would.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
We should have you and your girlfriend over for dinner.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Yes, she would make things uncomfortable. It would be great,
great times. I was gonna talk because Tanya was saying
that your kind of your method was flirting with the
men and getting them to do unimaginable things to help
you out or whatever it was. Yes, facts, and so
when you came out with your partner, she was like,

(23:34):
this is so funny because her tactics were like using
and abusing the men. I love that because I come
from the reality world too. I was on the bachelor,
and then I fell in love with my girlfriend and
that was how we met. And it was this like
I told her. I was like, that doesn't mean anything.
If you know how to flirt, you know how to flirt.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yeah. Look, I grew up in the South. It's just
like the food we are fed. You learn how to flirt.
That's your soft power as a woman. Yeah, that's yeah,
that's how you gain the upper hand every single day
of your life. And then I was a waitress and
a bartender, Like, you got to make your cash money,
you know, you can do what you have to do
real living.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Was that to make is your current partner your first
queer relationship?

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Was it a surprise? Were you like, oh my gosh,
how what?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Well?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Because when I met my girlfriend, I didn't even think twice,
Like I met her and then I fell in love,
Like it was such an immediate moment of falling in
love with her that I didn't even have time to
go wait what It just happened so fast? Was it
the same for you?

Speaker 1 (24:38):
You know, I went through a divorce and then I
was out in the dating world again and I was
dating men and I was very underwhelmed. I said this
is there's got to be something else out there. So
I opened up my dating app to women and I
was about to like maybe test the waters, let's see
how this goes. And then I met May and I

(24:59):
was just like you said, completely struck by this person.
And May, it's not a man or a woman. May,
it's non binary. So I'm like oh. And it was
really funny because NBC sent us this questionnaire after traders
and it was like, what are your legs, what are
your preferences? We'll match you up with press and whatever
events and things like that, and there was a drop

(25:22):
down for lgbt Q plus and I was like, oh,
I'm an ally and I licked that button and I
told May and he was like, I got news for you, babe.
You're not an ally. You like full on And I
was like, what were you all doing?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
You were like all I've known about myself is that
I'm an ally. I've never been apart this group.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I'm so honored.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
It's like you finally got into the clip. Can you
know you finally found your God.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I've been spinning around in the circles looking for my tribe.
Here we are.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
How did y'all meet?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Was it day.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
No dating absis didn't really work well for me. I
my sister went to May's comedy show because May performs
at the Largo here in LA and May mention something
about Survivor, and so my sister googles my name with
May's name just to see if made this poverty stander
as Sandra a fan. And then May had like written

(26:32):
a tweet or something in twenty twenty and I had
just watched season two of The Flight Attendant, which May
is on, and I was like, oh my god, I
am so into this person. So I just DM. I
just slid into May's DM. I was just, wow, can
I haven't you invited me to your show yet?

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (26:53):
You're so legendary.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
I need you to watch.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I'm like, I need to move to the South. You
need you need to like bottle that and like teach it.
I'm not even kidding writing, are you really? But but
is it like how to how to like wrap people.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
How to flirt?

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Because like it's it's quite the skill that you have
and you do it very well.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Well, Yeah, okay, you can come over too, and we'll
have a we'll have a dinner party course at my house.
We'll yeah, I need can we play Traders?

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Can we do? I know? But okay, I loved your
head Oh we were gonna I was wondering too, did
y'all get styled for the show or did everyone just
bring their everyone stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I hired a stylist to help me, because god forbid,
I styled myself, but because.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
I just felt like everyone dressed to the occasion. It
felt like, especially all the women were like dressed to
a tea every day. I loved it.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
People like on theme a little bit like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
You're right, like you had your looks, like you had
your look for the show.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
It was a character. It's like a murder mystery party.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
It's like a character, right, But I feel like the
headbands made you look more. Yeah, it was that like
part of the time.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
I wanted to say, like, my character inspiration was Blair
Waldorf from Gossip Girl.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Love that.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Yeah, so I just kind of innocent but also really
like badass. Oh yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Was gonna say, you're your Buffy and Blair Waldorf. Combo
really came through.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
It was a lot.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Well, I know we're we're being told we have to
wrap up, and I know that this could go on forever.
If they let us.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
But I could have just gone on for days. It's
best we can end it now.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yeah, I'm so happy that you made time to come on,
and we really appreciated having you. Yeah, You're amazing.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
I love you guys. You're invited over anytime.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I let my girlfriend know her.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
No, this is gonna be so embarrassing, but I have
two step kids and they're obsessed with you too. Will
you just wave to them and I'm bye. They can't
hear you. They're just gonna get a wave, okay, all.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Right, thanks, thank you, bye, all right bye.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
She was everything and more.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
I was very worried to meet her because it's like,
you know.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
They don't meet your heroes.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
I was like kind of scared she was not gonna
be nice, and then I was gonna like finish the
interview and be bummed about it. And I'm quite the opposite.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
I would say, I'm my expectations. We're exceeded beyond mine too.
She was so cool. Easton was giggling the whole time.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
You've ever seen Survivor or Traders?

Speaker 5 (30:10):
No, just like I've seen the clips of Survivor. I
got'm like Richard Hatch walked around naked. That's all I
know Survivor. I don't survive the ride, but that's it.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
That's like the worst season, by the way.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
That's what I hear. But now I'm like, oh my god, Parvity,
I'm like, have I watched Micronesia? I'm such a fan.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Everybody's homework and the next coming weeks is to watch
season sixteen A Survivor, which is I don't want to
tell you who wins, but it's an iconic poverty season.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
No spoiler alert spoiler alert here.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
But she's been on four seasons.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yeah, so you just this is the first one.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
This is when it's not her first one.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Oh it's not.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
I think it might be her second or third season.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
But this is when she got the black Widow title.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yes, it's so good.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
You remember how Camilla Luddington invited us over to her
house to watch grays or it was like a loosiente
or you invited yourself?

Speaker 3 (31:01):
No, no, she invited she invited us.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
But Camilla, yes, okay, Well do you think her Parvedy's
invites were of that nature?

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Well, you know, I did notice that she invited you
and Haley first, and I was like, then you got
the invite and then I got the At the end,
I was like, Wow, you proved yourself because I do
think being a Survivor fan adds just like another tier
of like stalker, you know, like it just adds another
layer to it.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Yeah, and if she knew the level of Survivor fan
that you have become.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Right that, Like we were wearing buffs watching the.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Show, right, and do like drafts and sanatty drafts.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Yeah, I try to keep it cool, but you did.
I was proud of you than you Like you were.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Excited, which I think made her excited, but you weren't scary.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Yeah, that's what I like to not scary, excited but
not scary.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Yeah, I was afraid you're going to bring up the
fantasy draft and also who your dog has drafted.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
I know. I was like, we gotta get to the
keep moving tonya don't get.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
More top on this season, but I yeah, tight ship.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
I know what was her thing last ships up?

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Ships up with thirty minutes and I was like, I'm
not going to get to all my Survivor questions. But
it's fine.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
No, I do feel like you, I mean, we both
I even just with the Traders questions. It's like I
had so many questions, but I had to prioritize them
the things that were on the top of my mind. Yeah,
that was a fun interview.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
It was fun.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
I really loved her.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Do you think she could put a good word in
at Traders for us for season three?

Speaker 2 (32:39):
I'm sure, just not together, no, no, no, yeah, together,
but yeah, I would imagine. I think we know enough
people where we could somehow get in the Traders zeitgeist. Yeah,
but I remember how last week you were saying that
because it's become so huge, that they might level up the.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
So here's my thing. I think that season one had
normal people and like reality stars, and I think it
was better because I think to at a certain point
with season two, they all knew each other too well
that like it was impossible for the Traders to win
because they know each other too well. They could see
through or if you watch season one, I don't want

(33:21):
to spoil it, but like, it is so good, and
I think it's because there are normal people in the
mix that it just works better in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
But you're the first person I've heard say season one
was better. I've heard everyone say season two is better,
and then I heard UK is even better.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
UK's even better.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, and they're all normal, just like normal Brits and
so everyone's like very polite to each other. So I
guess it's really good.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
I'm gonna have to watch that. I'm gonna have to
watch that next. But no, I don't think season one
was better. I just think it was totally different.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Like and I think because oh, I don't want to spoil.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
It, but I don't think I'm gonna watch that.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
Oh you're missing out. The Traders won season one and
they were able to I think because there was a
mix of normal and reality starts.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Well, it does make sense that you know that who
are going to be the powerhouses in when there's celebrity
people who are on TV and people know their personalities
and what they're good at either.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Like the housewife like at one point, yeah, what's her name?

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (34:22):
What was PA's best friend? Is like, are you a Trader?
And like Padre kind of you know.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Liked no. She said no and then she felt guilty though,
but like I could.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Read it all over her face as she was like,
you got me.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
She was definitely having a moral dilemma.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
So anyways, I'm just saying I think it could work
to my benefits.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Traders UK is old, like normis like, yeah, that the
old Norman. They're not old, but they're like, there's no
celebrities in it.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yeah, it's like old nor.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Love Island U s A. I don't like Love Island UK.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I love you loved Traders USA, so it's not.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
The same the Traders UK. I'm gonna like, yeah, you
might love bloatover.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
I really loved eck and Seue too. I wish you
would have lost a little. I was a little bummed
that Parvony had to kill her killer, but wet.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
To ask Peter and Ecken Sue if they're dating. Yeah,
she probably wouldn't say she.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
May have next time at dinner.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
All right, Well, we hope you enjoyed the podcast. We've
heard from multiple sources Sam and Easton that don't watch
either show that they loved it, So we hope you
enjoyed it. Yes, we love you so much. Have a
great weekend.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Bye.
