Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to another episode of the Game Preview Podcast presented
by LifeLock Ethan Greenberg, Cynthia Freeland in the House. Week five. Cynthia,
the Jets play the Broncos in Denver. It is just
crazy to think about, Like from a scheduling perspective, three
years in a row, now the Jets will play Denver
in Denver.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I mean, I think it's lucky, especially this year. I
want to see that defense. I'm licking my shots for
this one. So I don't know who doesn't like a
good like you know, you could go do some like
It'll be great training for everyone, including yourself. You can
get yourself like go for a run up there and
just like feel extra oxygen needed. You know, all good things,
all good things.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
It's always a storyline around anytime any team plays in Denver,
like who can play, who cannot play? I remember Tevin
Coleman used to play on the Jets. He did not
play against the Broncos because I think it was sickle
cell that he had that he couldn't play. So that
you know, the altitude is something that is real. First
and if you're going to the game, if you're listening

(01:01):
to this and you're going to the game, make sure
to mix in the water here and there right as
you're enjoying your beverages, because the altitude does impact your
consumption of liquor. I'm not quite sure the science behind it.
Maybe Cynthia understands a little more.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Do.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I mean, just you can go to the like at
the airport, they have that like this oxygen stuff that
you can breathe.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
It's like a can of it.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It's it's actually very helpful if you ever, you know,
if you feel a little weird, like they have it
like you know on marathons and stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
That's how I know about it. But it originally came
from altitude training.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I don't know why I know so much about this,
but yes, they have it at the airport if you
want it.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
And if you miss that. That was a humble brag
and a slight flex from Cynthia Freeland saying, yes, I
do run marathons. That's all I think.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Do you run marathons. I'm silly, I do silly things.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
When's the marathon? When is the next marathon?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Great question? Probably not till January. I'm starting to run
out of state. I'm not going to rerun a state.
So I'm starting to run out of that are in
the summer that I haven't done, right, Like a lot
of marathons are now like this time of year, and
so I've already, like you know, unfortunately, it's very hard
to work to run those based on my work schedule.
So I've already done the ones that are in the summer.

(02:13):
So I got to kind of maybe like Mississippi or like, okay,
I think there's one in some weird, like weird one,
not like you know, not in a city in Mississippi
that you I don't even know which city we know
other than like, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
We were just talking about we were just talking about
state capitals at lunch, and the capital of Mississippi is Jackson.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I believe I knew that one. So it's not there,
not Jackson.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
It's Jackson. It's Jackson.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yea, oh, it's the marathon that I that would be in.
I don't think it's in Jackson anyways.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
The capital is in Jackson anyway. Yes, So the Jets
play the Broncos long story short, and there's gonna be
a ton of storylines surrounding this one. Obviously, the first
one that comes to mind is the Sean Payton Nathaniel
Hackett public rift there where over the summer, Sean Payton
basically criticized the job that Nathaniel Hackett did as the

(03:05):
head coach in Denver. Nathaniel Hackett didn't really have anything
to say. Robert Sallas said, if you ain't got haters,
you ain't popping. So here we are just maybe the
best quote.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Robert Salas like, that's a really good quote. If you
ain't got haters, you ain't popping.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Do you think it's a little uncharacteristic of solid say
something like that too, Like in the way he said it,
I feel like he comes off as very like stone,
like very like yeah, yeah, all of a sudden he's
dropping you. You know, I love it.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I thought it was like feisty and I liked it
like stick up for your guy, Like it would have
been not as cool had Nathaniel Hackett said it, But
because Robert Saalas said it, it's a way cooler, right,
like oh my got my dude's got my back, and
you're like, all right, I can I can respect. Like,
you know, if Nathaniel Hackett said it, you'd be like,
hmm okay, weird.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
But then Robert Sallaz says, You're like, this is awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, You're like, that's my guy, that's my boy. This
is obviously one of the games where Aaron Rodgers I
would imagine, not knowing him personally all too well, I
would imagine this is a game where he's like, you
know what, I would have really really liked to play
this game to stand up for Nathaniel Hackett on the field.

(04:14):
And obviously we won't see that. But good news for
the Jets two players that this is all coming full
circle here because the Jets played Week seven at Denver
last year. They lost Brecee Hall, they lost Elijah Vera Tucker,
both those guys. This is like a revenge game. I
think a lot of fans want to peg it as
that because Breecee Hall has the opportunity to now this

(04:36):
Sunday go against the league's worst rushing defense, and you know,
I'll ask you this about the defense, Cynthia. Obviously it's
a new coaching staff about speaking about Denver's defense, specifically
that Miami game where the Dolphins put up seventy How
Like if you take that game out of the equation

(04:56):
because I would imagine that game skews averages very lopsidedly,
to say the least. Where does this Broncos defense stand still?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Not great?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I mean, you got to take out all of the
kind of garbage time, but you also have to do
that from everyone's team, So you have to do it
for the Cowboys in that first week against the Giants,
you have to do it. There's a number of places
where you have to take out kind of garbage time
and then especially run metrics against that garbage time. So
this defense is not great. And I saw that. You know,

(05:27):
Randy Gregory no longer there. He wasn't really playing that
great anyways. But regardless, you know, they're not able to
get pressure very consistently. And that's what you want to
look at. What happened when that game was still competitive
in Miami? What happened with like last week, this weird
comeback with the Bears. The Bears were eating their lunch
and then some things happened in Russell Wilson. So obviously

(05:47):
that wasn't the defense all of a sudden like making these.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Up there, it is you just get your phones popping off.
For those listening right now, it's too eighteen on Wednesday,
East Coast time up there. It is National tests. This
is a test of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.
The purpose is to maintain and improve alert and warning

(06:11):
capabilities at the federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial levels,
and to evaluate the nation's public alert and warning capabilities.
No action is required by the public. And let me
say message deliver.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
You know what's funny.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
You know what's actually like the best source of communication.
So like, if you really were one of those people
who was like a prepper, you should get a regular
phone that doesn't have any sort of electronics in it
because when we made the like actual telephone wires, they're
far more superior.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
They can withstand nuclear warfare and so like.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Really interesting because remember now everything else requires batteries and
being plugged in. But if you still want to call someone,
I don't know who you're gonna call because I don't
know who's on in the end, But if you wanted to,
that's what you'd have as a as a phone without
a battery.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Is that a battery phone?

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Did you learn that running marathons too?

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I did, and actually I learned it at Harvard just
kidding A driving my tesla.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Ye, none of those things. I didn't go to Harvard
and I don't have a Tesla.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
But I feel like one of those people who, like,
you know, you always know if someone goes to Harvard,
you always know if they drive a Tesla, and you
absolutely know if people run marathon.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
So I thought I would just hit the trifack.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, why not? That would be awesome some of those things.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Only the marathon thing is true. The rest of them
are not.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Two truth and a lie. Cynthia went to Harvard, she
owns a Tesla, and well, I guess there would be
two lies in the truth. I just screwed that up.
But we'll move on here. Uh, back picking up to
where we left off about this Broncos defense. I think
when you look at the defense, like from a Jets perspective,
you're like, Okay, Patrick's airtan Stallion, great player. What's going

(07:43):
on though? Like with him? Because I saw something the
other day that like he let up the most yards
he's let up in his career. And you know, I understand,
everyone has their days. You don't have to be perfect
every game, but it definitely seems like this Broncos defense
is not the top ten unit it was last year,
even though a lot of the players are similar.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Yeah, I mean, well, one we saw, Justin Simmons has
been out for some games in and out of the lineup,
so not particularly healthy. One defensive back does not a
backfield make right. So you know, Patzertan, it's unfortunate because
he is a much better player than what it kind
of looks like on film. This year, however, the front
of the back of the defense works together so much.

(08:22):
You can't ask a guy to be on an island
all by himself and do everything you can ask him
to work with the front, and they're just not providing
any push. So I'm really encouraged, especially with how well
the Jets O line.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Looked last week.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Like I don't know, I'm a I'm a tough I'm
a tough crowd when it comes to O line play.
And I was like, heck, yeah, Jet's like that is
what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Into your O line looked great.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
The switch to left tackle McKay play very well, Like
you know, it's there's a lot of good things, and
that's not an easy defense. I mean, the Chiefs defense.
Coming into this game, I was like is this the
top five unit. Remember we talked about it on this
pod last week. We said they haven't really reached any
point where you have any information. They have a lot
of garbage information. So we didn't know what we were
seeing yet. And historically a spag's defense does take a

(09:05):
little bit longer to come together. And obviously the Jets
offense got that memo, so we saw what happened with that.
So you know, look like in this game, in this matchup,
Russell Wilson's actually probably like he's probably gotten.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Overly dinged for not playing as well.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
But what is real is that their pass rush also
hasn't gotten overly punished, meaning like they have like it
feels like they're just like, uh, Broncos, it's got to
be Russell Wilson or Sean Payton that's the problem. And
you're like, well, actually they're not getting a pass rush.
They're giving up all of the yards against the run.
The EPA per rush, so the expected points added allowed
per rush is the highest in the league. It's almost

(09:41):
point zero one front layer point one rather like one
tenth of a point for every rush. So just think
of it as like, you know, the high numbers are bad.
Low numbers are good for defenses, right. Contrast that with
the Jets, which is a negative number, so you have
negative points added when you run against the Jets. It's
positive points added every time you run against the Broncos defense.
So you know, just in context, the discrete number doesn't

(10:03):
really matter, but the actually the relative difference is what matters.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
And also just some Breeze Hall numbers here, who's no
longer on a pitch count? According to Robert Sala, last
year against the Broncos in Denver, which was I remind
you of top ten defense, he only had four carries.
He had seventy two yards. One of them was the
sixty two yard touchdown where Iron Eagle infamous infamously called
Breese Breese lightning. Great call by Iron Eagle, Syracuse A lot.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
I love Iron Eagle.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
There are a few people in this world that I
think are funnier and more talented at their.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Job than I.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Totally agree. And Twitter lists too very impressive. So no
Twitter for the birdman as an Iron Eagle, but for
Briesce Hall going up against this defense, this Broncos defense
last and league in rushing yards allowed per game. Last
week he had six carries for fifty six yards against
the Chiefs defense that Cynthia just said was very good
entering last week against the New York Jets. And also

(10:57):
I find this number fascinating. Briesce hall rushing average through
eleven career games is fifth in NFL history. Number one
is Frank o'harris at six five zero. The other two
behind him are like Robert Griffin the third and Gary Brown, which, okay,
interesting that RG three is on there, but.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
A do you remember watching RG three play? Not even interesting?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Like it's it makes perfect say you forget about it
because he's a quarterback, but like you know, I remember
watching him play.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
It makes a lot of sense now that you say.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
It, it makes sense. But also it's like to me
it shouldn't count because it's like you know, in my
in my I understand this is not how football works.
But in my mind it's like, oh, Robert Griffin the
third like sees a lot of real estate on the
side of course, he's gonna average six yards per carry,
you know what I mean, Like he's gonna run when
he sees it. And the other guy though, was Adrian Peterson,
which obviously between Franco Harris and Adrian Peterson. You're talking

(11:48):
about those two guys, and then you mentioned Breese Hall.
You're a pretty damn good company. So definitely expect the
Jets to throw the ball. Now, before we hear from
coach Sala, I want to ask you about Zach Wilson.
We have to talk about this because from from my seat,
Zack had his best professional game against the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
So one million percent, yeah, like number one. First of all,
again credit to the O line because they gave him
an extra I think I looked at the next gen
stat like two minutes ago, and then I forgot because
Gordy ate my AirPods. But it was like something like
point six y two on average. It's meaning more than
half a second more per drop back, which is so significant.

(12:29):
Like I can't impress upon you enough. It's not a
scramp like you have to remember, like sometimes that time
to throw can be skewed if someone's like scrambling and
then like taking us.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Out of something.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
No, no, no, this is like when he was dropping
back in the pocket. So the integrity of the pocket
was maintained for about a half a second more in
this past game against the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
That is primo. That's like good news, that's very good news.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
And in doing so, you saw Zach Wilson be able
to at least like, I'm not in his head, I
can't tell you, but what the clues suggests was he
was able to diagnose what the defense was doing and
he was able to get it to a guy who
was most open. Right like, again, I'm not in his head.
I can't tell you. Oh, I knew exactly what was
going on. I guess it could have been luck, but
I don't think so. That looked like he knew what
he was looking at. All of emotions, everything they did

(13:12):
pre snap helped him identify what was going on in
that defensive backfield and he was able to just get
it to his dude.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
So not only did you humble brag on us and
say you run marathons, did you also just drop in
there that the dog ate your homework when you said,
Gordy ate your air.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Ate my AirPods. He's so he needs to start earth.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
That is, he didn't swallow the air pods though, right like,
you're not getting him back.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
They're never coming back there, and even if they even
if parts tried, no shot like that's just it's just over.
Gordy is the He's like, he's the love of my life,
but my god, like this dog.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
I was so mad at him. I never get mad
at him either, but that's like, he needs to get
a job. You know. He's really not pulling his weight
around here.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah, he's just eating and sleeping and using the bathroom
and that's all he's doing. That's tough. Wait, the most
important question though, were the AirPods out or were they
in the case?

Speaker 4 (14:07):
They were in the case.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yeah, that's scary. That's a human that's a human dog.
That's tough. Cynthia, Well, it's really tough. Actually, yeah, I'm
sorry to hear it. But just like the rest of us,
just like the NFL, we're gonna have to power.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Through battle, you know, onto the next week on the Cincinnati,
as Bill Belichick would say, on.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
The Cincinnati, that's right. For the Jets, it's on to Denver.
And for Zach Wilson it's on to Denver too. I
think the question with Zach is like did he figure
it out? Like what's real? Was this the career game
or like is this more along the lines of the
quarterback that Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hack and Robert Sala
believe in or is it the anomaly? And if you're

(14:53):
Jets fan, you're obviously hoping it's the former. But from
a game plan perspective against this Broncos team, how do
you you put Zack in a position to make it
two games in a row now where you really start
to build and you really start to be like, Okay,
we have something here and let's start to try to
make a run here as the Jets sit in entering
week five at one in three.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Well, first off, if you go back and watch his
college film, and actually Patrick Mahomes said it best, like
I'm not going to curse, but he said he played
his tail off. At first he said he played his
sleep off. But you know, it was a really nice
compliment from Patrick Mahomes. He's like, I've been watching him
since college, this whole thing. And it's true. When you
watch the film, you understand why he was picked so
high and why this entire organization thinks so highly of him.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
So you saw that.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
The problem is is unfortunately, like the NFL is not
the same speed as college, and nobody thinks it is,
and sometimes it can take you a longer amount of
time or shorter amount of time, or maybe you need
a mentor. I think all of us would benefit in
all of our careers if we had a mentor of
the caliber of Aaron Rodgers. So I think that this
is just an encouraging sign that like the plan is working,
meaning like you know, like you want to keep a

(16:01):
guy that's going to be able to be influenced by
Aaron ra He learned a lot from him in training camp,
at least it appears that way, and if nothing else,
I mean he learned that like listen, allmostales like got
Alanlizard out there, and that guy's gonna come like he's
gonna fight for it. So you know, look, and you
already knew about Garrett Wilson, like, but like you're adding
these pieces that really understand the concepts and wrinkles and

(16:22):
folds of this specific offense, which helps your young quarterback
and you're inexperienced quarterback no matter how many starts he's had, right,
inexperienced in this offense.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
So I think, like, I just think, like maybe we.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Got to credit Joe Douglas for like and coach Sala
for like sticking with it. And not bailing and finding
out like it's kind of like a nice mentor like
they took a step back. You knows, a lot of
times we throw bad money or bad picks after good
and it doesn't help the team. In this case, they
seem to have really helped the team with some expert drafting,

(16:53):
but also like bringing in the right sorts of vets.
So maybe it's just like they got it right there.
And as far as this game against the Broncos, I
think it's going to be actually a lot more of
Breis Hall leading the way, especially on early downs, and
then relying on the fact that now you're in third
and one, you know what you get, Like the entire
playbook is yours at third and one, at third and twelve,

(17:14):
third and six, even not so much. Right, Let's not
see that the Denver defense have a lot of clues
as to what's going to go on here, because we
already know they're having trouble rushing the passer they're punting on.
Like getting rid of Randy Gregory today does not mean
that they think like, hey, we've got this one solved.
We don't need this guy. We paid fourteen million dollars

(17:34):
early we're good here. That's not what that's saying, right, Like,
it's saying, we got some things to figure out.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Let's start by if they don't want.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
To be here, let them go somewhere else, you know,
So it like take advantage of the situation, but also
do it really smartly, the same way the game plan
was against the Chiefs. A little different game plan just
because it's a different defense, but you know, same idea.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Make take the easy ones.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Early down success leads to third down conversions, leads to
touchdowns and or even but at least to points.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
It's a great point, and we'll see what happens in
a couple of days here as the Jets head out
to the Mountain West to take on the Broncos. And
for more on this matchup, For more on Zach Wilson's
performance against the Chiefs what you can expect from the
number two overall pick in twenty twenty one, here's coach
Sala speaking with Eric Allen overall, do.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
You hate losing more than you love winning?

Speaker 5 (18:23):
Oh Man, good question. I always say you remember the
losses more than you do the wins. And because the
losses are the ones that scar you and they leave
a mark that you never forget. So I guess I
hate losing more.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
I think the times that I've seen you most emotional
have been maybe that loss to Tampa in year one
and then the loss to the Chiefs because your guys
battled so hard, you were right there at the end.
Can you talk about your emotions on the sideline?

Speaker 5 (19:00):
All you want is a chance, you know, and to
allow the guys on the field to make to make
those final to decide it. You know, and when you
when you feel like you missed out on that opportunity,
it gets frustrating when when you when you enter a
world you have no control over.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
It.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
Anything can happen.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
The reason I say that is because I think the
external narrative is, hey, it's a moral victory, or the
Jets are talking about a moral victory. Where if people
watched you and watch the way you digest everything during
those sixty minutes and immediate moments afterwards, how upset you were.
You didn't come out of there thinking win at all.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
No. The way I look at winning and losing is
that there's there's silver linings, and there's there's things that
you need to learn off of, and there or you
can teach off of. And there's things that the that
you'll take in as positives that you can you can
build off of. And that's winning and losing. You've got
to you know, I've always said you got to treat

(20:07):
both imposters the same. They're they're equal. One. I get it,
you have the dopamine effect of feeling good and the
other one is misery. But you have to be able
to hit the reset button and find all the positives
and the negatives. And so while the outside world may
have been satisfied a loss to the loss, they never
ask how, they ask how many? And you know, it's

(20:27):
our job to get back, get back to the level
ground and try to find all the positives and negatives
that we can so we can get better.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Encouraging is that, though, when you look at the film
on Monday with the guys and say, hey, fellas, there's
a lot to build off here.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
For sure, there was a ton to build off of,
you know, especially from the offensive side of the ball.
Finally felt like we got into a little bit of
a rhythm. I thought Zach played a really nice game.
Still a lot of things that we can do better
offensively with regards to the yards after the catch, with
the balls in our hands, taking more yards, creating manageable situations,
being more efficient and and capitalizing when we have them.

(21:03):
You know, when you have a team on their heels defensively,
you know, we've got to start faster. You know, it's
been three three games in a row where we've allowed
points in the first series of the game, and it's
got to be we've got to come out We've got
to come out out of the gates faster and give
ourselves a chance. And you know, so it's but with
that said, you know, for the last three quarters, we

(21:25):
we held those we all scored them twenty to six,
and and with the exception of some goofiness at the
end of the game, felt like we were going to
put it, have a ball in our hands with a
chance to go win. And you know, so you can't
ask you can't ask for much more than putting yourself
in position to win. But but we can ask a
heck of a lot more out of ourselves in terms
of the cleanliness of football to make sure we leave

(21:49):
no doubt.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Did you think that performance from Zach Wilson was on
a horizon because you expressed the confidence in him and
he goes out in terms as one of his best
professional outings.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Yeah, you know, I kind of joked around and I
mentioned it before that you know, it's like like me
and the driving range, Right, I'll scare Tiger Woods on
the driving range. I'll make some some bets with him
and feel like I'll get a couple on him. But
but I've got to be able to have the confidence
to take it to the to the actual course and

(22:22):
and play well. And and Zach, you know, and I
talked about practice, and and I know it's kind of
a you know, don't talk about practice, you know, because
no one cares and you shouldn't. But just trying to
put to your perspective on why am I talking the
way I am Because practice doesn't matter, because it shows something.
And it's just having the confidence in yourself to be

(22:44):
able to go out to the game and just let
it rip like you do in practice, like there's no consequence.
The only consequence is trusting yourself and believing that, believing
in your teammates and believing in your ability to get
the job done. And felt like as an offense again
after the first quarter, it just kind of clicked in
the gear where things were, things were working, guys were

(23:06):
getting opened, Zach was delivering the ball, the protection was good,
the run game started opening up, and uh and then
he just got into a groove and started slinging it.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
No fun is to watch him when he is letting
it rip, like the back shoulder throws that we saw
a few of those, the drive in the third quarter,
the rip to Lazard for the touchdown.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
You know, it was I don't know fun as a word.
I think it was more excitement for him. Uh not
even And it's gonna sound weird, you know, just the
you think about what he's been through. And as much
as we say ignore the noise and try to block
it out, they know, you know, their kids, they they're
all on social media. They hear it all. And I

(23:49):
don't know if there's many people who can would, who
could have, who could overcome what he's overcome and still
go out there with with the confidence that he has
that he can do this. And yeah, I'm proud of him.
You know, he's come a long way. Now he's got
to go do it again and again and again and
again and again, because at the end of the day,
consistency is the truest measure performance. But it was good

(24:13):
for him to prove to not only himself but to
everyone around him that he does belong and that he
can play this game at a very high level because
those were some high level throws that he was he
was making. And it's just to continue to work, prepare, uh,
you know, he's learning a new playbook, continue to communicate
and uh and again just let it writ Can.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
You talk about the him then hance comfort between Zach,
his offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett and Todd Downe, And of course.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
I think it's still growing. You know, there's still you
know from you talk about Hacket and Downing there they're
still learning Zach in the sense of, you know, in
practice there there's a certain amount of comfort, right because
you're you're running a playbook, you're installing plays and you're
installing stuff. But then when you get the game, we
can you're putting in scheme now and you're you know,

(25:02):
you're you're putting in different types of concepts, and then
you get into game day there's a different level of comfort.
And to see the way the game flows and what
I really like about what Hackett and doubting of and doing.
They're they're recognizing things that he really really excels at
and and so it's been a progression, you know, they're
they're learning every week things that they Okay, it's not

(25:23):
I don't I don't want to call it trial, and
it's almost trial by fire, you know. And because we're
going through this and there's no preseason games, there's no
practice against other teams, there's where you're in the midst
of it and you're trying to figure it all out
in Zax communicating, and they're doing a really nice job, uh,
not necessarily figuring out, but finding a comfort level of
things that work within the constructs of the the the

(25:48):
the design of the offense and what we're trying to
achieve week in and week out, along with what works
for what he's most comfortable with and that our guys
can execute. And it's you know, hopefully it continues to
get better. We still have a lot of work to do,
but it definitely took a step in the right direction.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
I know this is a different season, but it's seven
straight games now without allowing a touchdown in the second half.
What does that say about your defense?

Speaker 5 (26:12):
That's a real stat seven.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Yeah, seven straight games. That ties the long streak in
the national football leagues.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
It's two thousands, no kidding. Well, you know, credit to
Brick and the staff that you know, if one thing
I think we do a really good job of is
making adjustments, uh, based on the things that we get
presented early. Now the challenges le skip that in the
first half. Yeah, but and we have you know, we
we haven't given up many points in the past. I

(26:41):
think obviously the Dallas game is not something that we
want repeated. But you know, there's you know that Brick
and those guys do a really nice job in terms
of recognizing the way offenses have are attacking us and
making the changes that are necessary in the players being
so locked in to understanding what teams are trying to

(27:03):
do to them that when we make those adjustments, it's instantaneous,
and then the players have all the indicators they need
to be able to play a lot faster. So, you know,
credit to them, Credit to the players, the coaches, you know,
everyone putting in the work and truly understanding what we're
trying to accomplish playing and play out.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Speaking of being locked in, how about being number one
in the red zone of the National Football League defensively
twelve trips, your opponents have had three touchdowns.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
Yeah, you know, Tony Odin does a lot of that.
You know, from a red zone standpoint. He provides to
study and all that, and you know, sometimes I mess
with him because you know it's he he's gonna he's
gonna dig and find some clips. But but he does
a really nice job. It's very thorough, you know. And
then the and obviously we get together as a staff
and and go through it to figure out what's best

(27:47):
for us at this moment. And uh, you know, you
it's been good that we've been from a red zone standpoint,
it's been It's helped us staying games, you know, make
them earn field goals, and it helped us early in
the game against Ken City, held him to a field
with the first draft. Obviously we gave up those two
touchdown drives, but then the they scored six rest of

(28:09):
the way, which gave us a chance to come back.
And then obviously offense capitalizing. But you know, if you
can home the field goals, you can you'll always have
a chance.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Price off is so explosive. Can you talk about his growth?
Here is a player under you guys.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
Yeah, he's.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
You love all the stories of when they when they
if if someone figures it out right, but that that
that dude when we first got here, you know, the
way he remade his body undrafted free agent, tried to
be a three four outside backer type, and then we
put his hand into dirt and his strength, explosiveness, uh,

(28:47):
speed off the ball. I mean, he's he's pretty cool
and he's got nothing but better and uh, you know,
now we just gotta we just got to find a
way to get him to finish a couple on the
ball and he has he's getting close. Uh, he's close
to exploding in terms of from a sack production standpoint.
But as it says, now, he is a you know,
you've you've got different types of pass rushers, like you've

(29:08):
got power rushers and you've got win now rushers, and
he's one of those win now guys that they can
get to the quarterback in a hurry quickly.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
How about Ashton Davis. He's the only player in the
National Football League this year with the rushing yard in
interception and a special teams tackle.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
There you go. You know, I tell the staff, I say, man,
I'll tell you what, if you guys like takeaways, you
like Ashton. If you don't, then you don't like takeaways,
you know, because he always finds a way to get
the ball. You know, I love Ashton. I have a
true genuine appreciation for him. The things he does, his

(29:42):
work ethic, how hard he goes at it day in
and day out, and he's he's awesome, He's he's a
great teammate.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
How about the matchup this week, you guys going to
Denver take on the Broncos. I know you're going to
keep the main thing the main thing, because you're gonna
be asked a lot about Sean Payton, Nathaniel Hackett, But
can you just talk about what you see from le
Broncos so far?

Speaker 5 (30:02):
Yeah, you know, they're whenever you bring in a whole
new coaching staff and you're you're gonna have adjustments. And
you know this team last year defensively speaking them for them,
they they're six best defense in football. I think they were.
They're definitely a top ten defense. They're getting a lot
of those guys back this week and you can tell
that they're just they're on the cusp of understanding a

(30:23):
whole new scheme and understanding what's being asked of them,
and uh, you know, so they're you know, the Miami
game is what they get labeled on, but that's that's
not them. They're they're actually a pretty darn good, pretty
good defense, and for the most part, it's the same
defense that that we battled with last year where when
we went up there in one sixteen to nine I
think it was. And then on the flip side, offensively,

(30:48):
you know, Russell's dropped a lot of weight. He's actually
playing really well. He's moving around in the pocket a
lot better, he's working off schedule a lot better. He's
he's kind of looking like the Rustle of old in
that regard. And again, same thing. They're putting up points,
they're putting up yards. It just hasn't been clicking. You know.
They had a big lead against Washington, obviously, they had

(31:09):
the big comeback against Chicago and against the Raiders. They
were in a really type all game. So they're in
my opinion, that close to being three and one, so
good football team. Obviously, they got punched around with Miami
where it looked like it was Dallan offense and they
got you know, as one of those games you just
throw it away because it just it just didn't seem

(31:30):
like anything could go their way. But underrated football team
and definitely going to be a big challenge and globally.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
I know you don't need a reminder of this. It's
so early in the season. Look at the AFC right now,
twelve teams with either a two and two record or
one to three.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Yeah, we got to take care of ours. You know,
We've had our opportunities. You can look back at, I
mean the last two games. Obviously we had our chance
to win football games and it didn't happen. But you know,
we're all we're going to be in a lot of
these games and it's going to be about finishing and
finding ways to finish and uh, you know, and hopefully,

(32:09):
you know, we figure it out starting with Denver. Thanks coaching,
you got it.

Speaker 1 (32:13):

call him EA. To my right, if you're listening to
this is John Polano back in the fold, JP. Welcome.
How are we doing this week?

Speaker 6 (32:56):
We're good, We're good. It's fantastic whether it's perfect and
forum Parker for his fall. So it's a good time.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
It is going to be a great time, man, Cynthia.
John Polano came up to me earlier today and because hey,
I just want to let you know. I know you're busy,
but I have a curveball that I think you're going
to like for the Game Preview podcast presented by LifeLock.
So with that being said, what do we have today?

Speaker 6 (33:17):
So as people may know this game as how well
do you know the bride? It's played a lot of
bachelor parties, be rett parties, wedding showers. You like to
test the husband or the future husband? Yeah, to know
the bride. So in this scenario, you two will be
the couple, but in this case we'll be get to
know your co host. I will present a question to Cynthia,

(33:39):
a scenario from the game something football really in and
she'll come with her answer, but she won't say it immediately.
She'll she'll put it away, she'll put it to the side,
she'll holster it, and then Ethan will try to think
of what would Cynthia's answer be to me, Because you
know Cynthia so well, I'm sure you'll get it right,
and you'll give me the answer, and Cynthia give be
hers and we'll do a little breakdown.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Okay, I love it. I think i'd like to think
that I know the answer, but I'm a little you know,
I'm a little nervous, you.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
Know, but he'll be nervous. We got this.

Speaker 6 (34:06):
We got this.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Cynthy and I have been like a good team in
all these games so far, like especially the name that
jet or guess that jet, Guess that player. So I
have high hopes. So I'm ready.

Speaker 6 (34:18):
All right, you guys have been like stressing me out
because I'm trying to think of ways to think of
ways to fool you guys, and I have not been
able to catch up. So I'm just gonna pin you
guys against each other.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Yeah, ran marathons before, so she's built tough.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
I wish, I wish.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Listen. If you're gonna make fun of me, do it
all the way. I've not just run one marathon. I've
run twenty five, buddy.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yeah, I was gonna ask how many twenty five? I
didn't say one. I said marathons plural. I didn't want
to say how many.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
If you're going to make fun of me, just get
it right.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
You know, next time when I make fun of you
about your marathons, all twenty five of them, I'll make
sure to do.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
We've already run the York too. Unfortunately, that was one
of my favorites.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Okay, fair, Yeah, well it's a good bucket list marathon.
If you're into that.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
That's a great marathon, like.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
John Platto, unlike me.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
She said, almost had a marathon marathon twenty five. Yeah,
that's brilliant. All right, ready rolling, I'm ready, all right,
So Cynthia, I want you to you don't have to
close your eyes, but I want you to picture this.
It's early in the first quarter in Denver was in
Power Stadium. Is that the name of the stadium.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Yeah, I don't like Denver. So I tried, Yeah, I try.
I try to eliminate way. We had a bad flight
out there. Bristore's acl Elijah Arrah Tucker ripped his try
steps off the year before the Jets got shut out
the year before that. Oh and on that that shutout
in twenty twenty one, we got on a plane to

(35:39):
come back and then had to d plane and then
we flew back and so like I'm just way out,
I'm way out, all.

Speaker 6 (35:45):
Right, Well, I'm trying to bring up memories. But regardless,
you're in Denver. It is second down on the Broncos
forty five yard lines. We just got past Midfield's early
first quarter Tobe like ten minutes, ten minutes left in
the quarter. Zach is under center. Zach spread the ball
to ten different wideouts during this last game against Kansas City,
like definitely his career high. What player would you like

(36:05):
for New York Jessica going early? Specifically Wizard Garrett Wilson,
maybe a tight end. Who would you love to get
going early?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Okay, let me know when you have your answer.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
So I can I have an answer.

Speaker 6 (36:18):
Your time.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Well, the obvious answer here is Garrett Wilson because last
week he only had nine or he only had he
had nine cashes, but like, not only twenty yards? Yeah,
only nine, almost close to Cynthia's twenty five marathon. Did
I do a good job there fully? Okay? Okay, and
so like I'm thinking that it's that Cynthia's thinking Garrett.
But I'm gonna give my answer with the flavor. Okay,

(36:41):
I'm gonna say Garrett Wilson is number one, but he'll
probably see a lot of Patrick Sirtan. So therefore I'm
gonna throw a little curveball, and I'm gonna say Tyler
Conklin as my backup one B option.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
I'm gonna be honest with you. I was thinking, Tyler Conklin.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
I appreciate your hair.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
We have to learn the haircare routine from Tyler Conklin,
who also has two huskies. By the way, so maybe
if Gordy wants a friend and he lives in Michigan
in the off season, Cynthia.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Are we are we twins?

Speaker 1 (37:20):
You might be? You might be, Yeah, he has too.
Did you give him the hair care routine?

Speaker 4 (37:30):
No, but I definitely should.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
I'm available if he'd like me too, I'm totally available.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I'll ask him. I'll ask him.

Speaker 6 (37:38):
So I have to ask Cynthia. I mean, also, you
even what made you think Conkline? I know he had
the huge catch to start the second quarter, him and Rutger.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I was the hair. Honestly, I'll give my what I
was thinking about. I was thinking that Garrett was like
a little too obvious, and assuming that Patrick Sutan is, like,
you know, playing at the level in which he typically does,
that kind of in my opinion, would have eliminate Garrett
from the answer in this equation. So what player would
you like to get going? Honestly, I'm like, I don't
know a ton about the Broncos linebackers. Maybe I think

(38:10):
Tyler Conklin is a fantastic weapon in terms of a
pass catcher. We almost saw him catch a touchdown last week.
We saw him have that back shoulder ball to open
up the third quarter. So I was thinking that Cynthia
was thinking, maybe you get the tight ends involved a
little bit early. Maybe they can help open some things
up for Priest and the running game, and then also
you could spread it out wide do you see those?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
I was thinking of it for two reasons. One for
me was, what's that thing like? Hoisted by their own botard?
What's that thing like? Because you know, Sean Payton loves
to use his tight ends.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
So I was like, what's the most poetic thing we
can do here?

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (38:44):
A tight end touchdown? So I was thinking about that.
And also like Fantasy, I is like, h Tyler Conklin
gave me a good pick for Fantasy this week, so
that was kind of my Those are my two reasons.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
But we got there.

Speaker 6 (38:57):
That's perfect. That's perfect. Do you guys write a rock again?

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Yeah? I'm ready?

Speaker 4 (39:00):
Are We're ready?

Speaker 6 (39:00):
All right? So we're gonna switch to the defensive side
of the ball, specifically defensive side from New York Jets.
So we're gonna switch to it being also late in
the game, so the Jets lead twenty to thirteen. In
the scenario, there's a buck forty five left. The Broncos
have the ball, but it's fourth down.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
I'm not gonna lie. I totally zoned out. Can you
start this over again? I was so wrapped up and
like just zoning out. I was like, Wow, Polano's like
really explaining this in detail, and then I thought, oh
my god, I need to actually know what what do
you say?

Speaker 2 (39:30):
It's twenty to thirteen with the bluck forty five left
to go in the end of the game.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
All right, twenty thirteen, Jets are up.

Speaker 6 (39:36):
Jets are up, but the Broncos have the ball. They're
on the jets twenty five yard line. It is fourth down.
What two edge rushers, Cynthia, would you like to see
on the field in this scenario. We rotate so many
guys in and out, and the Broncos also have three
new starting offensive linemen from the matchup last year, both
tackles and one of their guards. So who do you
want to see from the Jets attacking them on fourth down?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Okay, I think you know my answer here.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Well you know my like my, my, my favorite.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, well one of them, Price Hoff, I mean that
that's a like.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
Yeah, that was the one where I'm like, if he
doesn't get off.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yep, no, that's a layup. And the other one I'm
going to say, Cynthia is going to say Jermaine Johnson.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
He didn't like he had a little bit of a
rough start last week, so I like a good second chance.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
I knew that Cynthia would like like the the circle
poetic poetry.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
You gotta get a chance to get give him a
chance to like be the hero, you know.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
And not only that, not only did he have the
rough start, but then the whole debate at the end
of the game, like was it a holding call on
Jermaine You know, we're not here to question the officiator
all all said.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
I don't understand, like, I'm not going to that.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
But the only thing I'll say, I think you find
this interesting is that Jermaine Johnson. Some people were like, well,
why isn't he trying to move the tackle off of him?
And Jermaine Johnson said to me postgame Cynthia that he
knew he had a personal foul and didn't want to
do something that the refs could interprind. Yes, yeah, exactly,
so therefore he didn't do anything, no flag, Chiefs win

(41:10):
the game. In this scenario, Jermaine and Bryce Off probably
meet at the quarterback and take down Russell Wilson and
that's a Jets win. That's what Cynthia just died.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
I loved by the way last week, I loved how
like even like this is a Sunday night broadcast, and
they know, people were like this Bryce Huff guy just
really came out of nowhere.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
I'm like, what have you not been watching Jets football?

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Like, like I just I was very much like I
was offended for Bryce Huff. I was like, who do
I gotta talk to around here to get this Bryce
Huff situation resolved?

Speaker 4 (41:40):
You know, like I don't know I was. I was like, guys,
watch any Jets game?

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Yeah, you tell him, Cynthia. The other thing I was
saying about your situation, Pilano, I don't know if you
know this last year's final score sixteen to nine. That's
a seven point game, And did you rip this right
off of last year? Is just like what happened.

Speaker 6 (41:57):
I may have like copied it off a little bit,
but obviously we had the huge lost in the sauce
sauce gardener pass breakup at the end, but in this scenario,
he doesn't even get the pass off.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
Okay, right, But this is like now because Denver was
set up with fifty three seconds left first and ten
on the Jets forty nine last year, down sixteen to nine.
So that's that's kind of what happened. And then you're right,
the loss in the sauce moment.

Speaker 6 (42:23):
It's a pretty good setup.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
It is a pretty good setup.

Speaker 6 (42:25):
I hope we have a repeat.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
I hope we have a repeat.

Speaker 6 (42:28):
All right, so we be right for their one. Yep, we
have four. We have time for four.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
I think we have time. We'll see if we have
time for three.

Speaker 6 (42:35):
All right, Well, here we go. So the Broncos have
had a really rough touch of injuries in their receiver room,
specifically with Tim Patrick and Jalen Virgil just not even
making it to the season ending up on ir and
then Jerry Judy has had this knee injury that's kind
of like hindered him, but he's still been playing. But
russ in this passing offense have been like secretly really good.
Their number ten in scoring offense. He's got nine passing touchdowns,

(42:57):
which are the third most in the NFL. And they
don't have some really good receivers between Marvin Mims junior
the rookie, and Courtland Sutton, who both have two hundred
plus yards receiving, they got some guys, Cynthia, Who should
the Jets be worried about in that group? Is it
Adam Troutman, the tight end who are they worried about.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
Okay, do you have your answer?

Speaker 4 (43:17):
Oh? I have my answer?

Speaker 1 (43:18):
You do or don't I do? Okay, my gut, says
Courtland Sutton, because I think people sleep on Courtland Sutton
as a football player. Now, I know, Marvin Jones or
not Marvin Jones, man, the junior really put the Jones
in my head.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
But I mean it wasn't Marvin and junior.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
And I know isn't Marvin Jones Marvin Jones junior too.
Technically Okay, so Marvin Mims is he's a big play threat,
but I think like down in and down out, if
you really need to play and you got to chuck
one up, Like Courtland Sutton's a big dude. He leads
the Broncos in receptions. He has accounted for three of

(43:59):
Russell Wilson's nine passing touchdowns. So my answer for Cynthia's answer,
lock it in Courland Sutton.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
It has to be because for whatever reason, they don't
dial up Marvin mims number like they just like they have,
like you're like he's open, but for whatever reason, the
targets just aren't there. So Courtland and also Courland Sutton,
a lot of people you're right, they do sleep on him.
But also he had that injury and then he came back,

(44:28):
and then things were weird with Russell Wilson last year,
so it kind of felt like he was sort of sleepy.
But then you go watch the film and you actually
watch the routs he's running and he's a very good
route runner, so it's not like he's not there. Last
year was this weird year just in general, like whatever.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
But and they're not dialing. I don't know, he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Sean Payton's like, you know, we'll just let this Mims
kid sit over here.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
I don't know, I don't know why he's not targeting
him more. But Courtland Sutton is the threat.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
And last year against the Jets, Courtland Sutton only had
three catches for twenty three yards. It was Jerry Judy
who led the Broncos that game. He had ninety six
receiving yards. And you know, but like you obviously have
to account for speed, and Marvin Mims definitely has that.
I mean, we saw that a couple of weeks ago.
I just looked this up. He's averaging Marvin Mims twenty
six point nine yards per reception. He leads a team

(45:16):
with two hundred and forty two receiving yards. But it's
like I said earlier, Sutton leads a team with twenty catches,
he only averages ten of pops. So just something to
keep in mind as the Jets travel out west to take.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
A Yeah, I got something for you really quick on
this Broncos defense, I ever got to tell you. So
he's looking at the next gen stats for like the
Cardio Kings, like the guys who like run the most
routes but aren't involved in plays, and the entire Broncos
defense actually accounts for like the most. Like it's it's
an insane number of like like miles. Like it's like
something like six miles or something that they ran last

(45:50):
week that as a combined unit where no one was
even like within in order to count as being part
of the play, to be like within three yards of
it or whatever. They ran like six for seven miles
as a team without even being three feet from the
or three yards from the ball.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
Insane Cardio Kingo Kings.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Wow, you know.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
You know what, that's almost a marathon. Just saying I
was gonna.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
Say marathon set me up so bad, because if they're
the Cardio Kings, the co host of the Game Preview
podcast presented by LifeLock, might be the Cardio Queen because
she's ran twenty five twenty six point two marathons. Uh
huh yeah, Okay, all right, Paul, I'll take us home.
Number four.

Speaker 6 (46:33):
All right, number four. We're going off the radar here,
we're less football related more.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
I'm so happy we're doing this.

Speaker 6 (46:40):
I'm so sorry because I know you don't want to
talk about Denver, but the city itself seems very beautiful.
Can'tay've ever been there?

Speaker 4 (46:47):
But Sunshine State?

Speaker 6 (46:49):
Oh absolutely, Cynthia. So say you're flying out there, You're
making your plans in your head. You're trying to decide
what the hell do I want to do on this
Saturday before the game? Are you a going to your
Multiple Choices for multiple Choice?

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Right?

Speaker 4 (47:02):
Perfect?

Speaker 6 (47:03):
Going to the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater, catch a little concert.
I've actually I've heard Camps was a really good concert there,
Absolutely fantastic. Catch some really famous bands. Are you heading
to the famous Denver Museum of Nature and Science or
are you going to the Rocky Mountain National Park just
for like a thirty ninety minute drive out there? And
hike it up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
Okay, well so you.

Speaker 6 (47:27):
Got concert, you got museums.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
I just want to say, uh, let me shout out
Christian McCaffrey real quick, because I don't know you see
this at Red Rocks Zack Bryan country artists, or I
mean some people don't think he's country, but Zack Bryan
went out there. Christian McCaffrey came up on stage during
like the last song reival which goes on, and McCaffrey
played the piano for Zack Bryan. It was awesome.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
Wow, that's incredible.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
Now to answer your question, to answer in Cynthia's mind,
my options are a Red Rocks, some sciency thing which
is definitely up Cynthia's alley, but I don't think that's
the answer here. Or see we was see the Museum.

Speaker 6 (48:08):
National Park, oh Okay Museum National Park.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
So I think there should be a D and it
should be D is start the day with the hike
and then go to Red Rocks at night. But if
I had to choose between the two, we've been talking
about marathons all all show you you're telling me someone
who's ran twenty five of them isn't gonna want to
spend some time outside being active. Give me c lock

(48:34):
it in with a little bit of salt that you
can't see the Red Rocks concert.

Speaker 6 (48:38):
Whoever it is, Cindia, that's correct.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
I mean I don't like traffic.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
If I'm going to a game the next day, there's
already gonna be traffic, So I'm not doing two times
of traffic, like unless this is like a very very
good concert and we would know, like, hey, you know,
I guess I would see like a like a throwback one,
like like I get, like, you know, Dave Matthews band
at the Red Rocks maybe, but like you know, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (49:00):
I don't like traffic. Not a traffic girl, don't do it.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
I live in La so I say you live in
a bad spot to be a not a fan of traffic.
I mean, so do we. But we're not talking about
our discuss for traffic. But it sucks over here too.
East Coast, West coast handshake, Cindy.

Speaker 6 (49:16):
Have you ever run a marathon in Colorado?

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Not yet? Colorado's still left on the list. What about
big sir, No, I did the La Marathon in the rain.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
In the rain, very nice.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
Yeah, it was wild.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
What say, I forget you're trying to do a marathon
in all fifty mm hmm. That is crazy.

Speaker 4 (49:36):
It's crazy. But if you're going to do like a
small town one, the answer is Montana. Missoula. Montana puts
on a heck of a marathon.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Okay, I want to go to Montana, period. I'm just
going to run a marathon.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Montana is my favorite. I'm obsessed with Montana. It's so good.
There's no traffic there just so you.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Know, oh thank you. There are probably no stoplights either,
or traffic lights.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
I mean, I don't need to stop light. I just
need I just need, like, let's just give me some air.
That's he is good and you know, some good some
good running out.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
There, air that smells good, some good running, and some
New York Jets football. That's the Cynthia Freeland playbook right there.
And that's all we have on this episode of the
Game Preview Podcast presented by LifeLock. Jets Broncos both one
and three taking on each other at Denver, which I'm
not really a fan of Denver, but that's okay because

(50:24):
the Jets three years in a row now playing Denver. Schmenver,
you got anything dead there between Denver and Seceedbergh. Go Jets,
we'll see you next week.
