(00:00):
And to help us break it alldown, we head out to the Kwai
Common Spirit Health Hotline and bring onKyle Frederickson with the Colorado Gazette. Kyle,
you're on with Rick Lewis, RyanEdwards. How are you? I'm
doing well. It's gonna be afun one tonight, fellas, it is
gonna be a fun one tonight.Let's go ahead and start with I think
was the obvious and the thing thatneeded to happen in these stars, not

(00:21):
the Dallas Stars. The stars ofthe Avalanche showed up a big time in
that game and they desperately need it. Do you expect the same tonight?
Yeah? I mean it's got tobe the formula. Right on paper,
the Dallas Stars are extremely deep, they got great goaltending, the abs strength,

(00:41):
and this matchup is their higher end. Top talent is even higher,
right, and you know, ifthis is a team that can't figure out
a way to play with early leadsand they need their stars to bring them
back in games. And the onecommonality really that we saw between Game five
and then as well as Game oneone is Avalanche power playing right. I

(01:02):
Mean, that's when the stars canreally shine for this team. That the
way they're able to control that puckmovement and just kind of show off some
of that ability in ways that's notquite as possible at even strength. I
mean, good luck cracking this Starsteam at five on five because at this
point, without the help of thepower play, you know, the Abs
have really struggled. So you know, they can get some of that again

(01:25):
tonight and the big guys step up. You know, I think they'll have
no trouble forcing in Game seven, but you know, if they're unable to
do that, you know this couldbe it. You know, Kyle,
Hey, it's Rick Lewis here.Kyle, thanks for coming on the show.
I'm not the hockey expert that youare, but that last game,
I knew the Avalanche were going toshow up in that game, and because
of the star power that they havethere's some of the best players in the

(01:48):
league. And the way the gamebefore went down when they find out they're
losing valve just before the game, they were paralyzed. They looked, they
looked like they were sleepwalking or sleepskating in that game. So I knew
with a couple of days off, these guys, the mckinns, the mccars,
the rent is they were going tocome back in the next game and

(02:08):
you were going to get their bestgame, and that's exactly how it played
out. I feel like the Avalancheare going to win tonight and send us
to Game seven. Yeah, Iwould agree with with your your sentiment there.
You know, this is an Avalancheteam that seems to almost enjoy being
on the ropes a little bit.You know, they let the NHL and

(02:30):
come back victories during the regular season. You know, Jared Bednar's favorite saying
I think at this point might be, you know, the only score that
matters is the one at the endof the night, and they've really taken
that the heart, right. Soyeah, there's a lot of pride in
that locker room, you know. And even with the vow news, clearly
that has some kind of stunting effecton that game. For players wouldn't necessarily

(02:52):
cop to it, but it wasclear to everyone who's watching it. So
yeah, to see them turn thepage so quickly and come back and that
elimination game and make a stand andyou know, kind of put that val
news in the rear view mirror already. It's big for this team, you
know, and it can't be said, you know, stated or understated that
Jonathan Drew In coming back to thelineup at the same time is huge for

(03:15):
this team. You know, you'rebasically swapping top six forwards. So yeah,
the Abs feel confident, They shouldfeel confident. A whole bunch of
that guys from the twenty two Cupteam are still here, so we'll see
if it shows up tonight. Yeah, a great point about drew In coming
back, and he's been great sofar. What do you expect they will
do with Val Nichushkin in the offseason. Boy, it's sort of the

(03:37):
albatross hanging over this team. Andbefore that, you know, it's Gabe
Landeskog status, right, and youstill have to figure that out. But
I would say in the kind ofthe pecking order of things to take care
of or figure out this offseason,Valve is number one. And then right
now, I don't think there's anygreat options. I think the most ideal
thing that would happen is the Avalanchefind trade partner, someone who, even

(04:01):
with all VAL's baggage, sees thehigh end talent the upside there, wants
to take a chance on on beingthe next team to rebilitate rehabilitate him.
That would be great for the ABSthat can get something in return, hopefully
get that salary cap off the books, But that's gonna be difficult. I
think they're gonna look at ways tomaybe find a settlement with Val to maybe

(04:24):
terminate his contract early if possible. That could be a tough sell, being
on how much you know, moneyand years are left for him. You
know, Val is still in thetreatment program stage three right now, so
you know, if he were toyou know, violate some other term of
that treatment, he would go tostage four, and then you're talking about

(04:44):
a whole year being suspended from theteam and green and statement after that point
isn't guaranteed. You know, thatwould put the ABS in the spot where,
you know, then maybe his money'soff the books for the whole year.
You know, of course they're they'rerooting for him to get better.
These are all things that they haveto think about in terms of what happens
moving forward, because you know, six months is a long time. Maybe

(05:08):
Chris McFarlane looks at this roster afterthe postseason, looks at what vout brings,
cooler heads prevailed. You know, this is a health issue, ultimately
in addiction. So maybe the Avalanchewill truly treat it like that. But
boy, if I'm one of histeammates or coaches, it's just hard not
to see that trust being completely eroded. So I think moving on is probably

(05:30):
going to be their first option.Yeah, Kyle Frederickson our guest never or
Colorado Gazette. Yeah, I donot see him back with the Avalanche,
and I find it hard to evenpicture him with another team. You know,
we all know the problem. It'shappened two years in a row in
the playoffs. Now, maybe ifthe scenario is another team can take a

(05:53):
chance on him where the Avalanche payfor most of his salary. Did they
do that kind of thing in theNational Hockey League? Like they do that,
He's a split salaries and and thingslike that to make it work for
sure, So if they do that, I could see a team, because
he's so talented, taking a chanceon him. But you know who would
want him in their room? Rightnow? Who would want him? Yeah,

(06:15):
it's it's a very fair point.And I also wonder too, you
know, what is what's VAL's motivationto be in the NHL? You know,
like the guy is obviously supremely talented, but in terms of just his
connection with the team, he's alwaysbeen kind of a solo guy. He
very much uh you know, gravitatesto the other Russian speakers in the room.

(06:38):
But I am just curious if ifhe's gonna want to come back.
You know, he's got a family, he's got a child. You know,
if this were a situation where hewanted to step away for longer than
six months. Also knowing that, you know, NHL teams aren't going to
be clamoring for his services at thatpoint, it wouldn't shock me at all
to see Val maybe hang out andstay in Russia for longer. You know.

(06:59):
It's it's gonna be interesting though,to see what that does with his
contract and what his future playing inthe NHL is. But you just hope
the best for the guy, becauseclearly at this point it hasn't been easy.
But that doesn't excuse, you know, bailing on your teammates, you
know, at the most important timetwo years in a row. Follow on
on Twitter at Kyle Frederickson and you'llbe live from ball Reina tonight for Game

(07:20):
six. Kyle, always great man. I appreciate you, yep, thank
you all right, we'll get theinterview up a Koaclorado dot com right now
from the KOA Traffick Center. He'sDarren Copeland. I do think they'll win
tonight, and if they win tonight, I think they win Game seven too.
They're that good of a team.Stars are good too. But even
without val, this team is loadedwith talent, unquestionably key voting on the

(07:44):
poll question at our average radio outsideof Bo Nicks, which Broncos draft picked?
Are you most excited to see thisupcoming season? Will update the poll
coming up here at about ten minutes. We're going to talk about the Nuggets
after five o'clock with Rick Kamla fromSerious XM. We'll get his thoughts on
the series. Walso here from naicoleaYoak, which had some great soundbites last
night. You guys are getting mewrong. Here the text line. The

(08:05):
text line, listen, I loveyou guys a lard to go back in
my favor. Yeah, let melet me clarify too. I'm not saying
let's bring Russell Wilson back. Ijust threw that out there, just something
to think about. How would thisteam look if Russ based on how we
played last year, if you broughthim back this year, one more year,
you know it. It was thegoal initially in Sean Payton's system.

(08:28):
Ye oh, how many games wouldyou win? Looking at the schedule,
he's not coming back. Well, the reason to swinging back your ways.
You're much more likable than I am. Let's be honest, You're much more
likable than I am. But thething is is, like and I said,
I have a lot of hate inmy heart about Russell Wilson. Hate
is a strong word. A lotof people said that, like they jumped
in and say, hey, holdon, hate hate. I do not
hate Russell Wilson. I am.I'm struggling. I'll put it this way.

(08:54):
I am struggling to be in theposition like Dave and al r where
I hope the best for him.You know what I'm saying, Like it's
it's maybe it's a little bit morein the middle. I don't hope the
best for him. I'm not specificallyrooting against him except for when the Steelers
come to town Week two, butover the next two years, while the

(09:15):
Broncos are still paying part of hissalary to play for somebody else, it's
just tough for me to be ina position of like, I hope he
does well because he's playing against myteam one way or the other. Let's
just say he sticks it out withthe Steelers for the next two years.
Okay, he's in the AFC,he's vying for one of those seven spots
in the playoffs, and that willpotentially keep the Broncos out of the playoffs.
I'm sorry, I'm not like hopingthe best for Russell Wilson. I

(09:39):
can't. I can't get there,Rick. You know what, I'm pulling
for russ outside of Game two,Week two, when they come here and
play the Denver Broncos. Obviously,I'm a huge Broncos fan and call the
games as well. So the Broncoswinning is not only in the best interest
of the franchise and city, it'sin my best interest too. So I'm

(10:01):
all in on that. I'm allin on bone Knicks too. I want
to point that out. The reasonI'm all in on bone Nicks is because
Sean Payton is. Now. Ifwe were going to start the season with
Jared Stidham, I'd be having alittle different discussion today and I'd be saying,
you know, I wish you justwould have kept Russ here. You
won eight games and then benched them. That probably would have won nine next

(10:24):
I think last year, maybe eventen if they kept Uss in there.
How many how many things go andit sounds mean almost to say, but
how many things go wrong if it'ssit them right? I mean, how
the trade for Zach Wilson, whohas more experience by far of anybody in
that room. Bo Knicks has startedmore college football games than any quarterback in
the history of the game, cominginto the Broncos, the third oldest drafted

(10:48):
quarterback. And if you go withStidham, if yeah, the plan failed,
whatever with Jared said, I'm sorryJared still yeah, sorry to his
family, yes, and your familytoo. There's just nothing to get excited
about. And he just hasn't playedenough. And what we saw the last

(11:11):
two games last year, I don'tthink he gave us anything to be excited
or optimistic about Jared Stidham going intothe twenty twenty four season. Bo Nicks,
now you got something because you're headcoach who is a quarterback guru loves
this kid, so I'm all inon him. Profit I'm with Rick.
They're still room in my heart forus. I'm sorry. Maybe I have
a cold heart. Maybe it's thelow tee thing. I don't know,

(11:33):
is that part of the low tthing. I don't have room in my
heart for us. All Right,we'll come back, we'll update our poll
question, we'll continue the conversation aboutthe rookie class. I'm very excited to
be into that. We'll do thatnext. Welcome back Ryan Edwards, Rick
Lewis. Again, we're gonna talka little nuggets coming up here in just
a minute too. But I wantedto update our poll question. Also,
we have a lot of text Iwant to get to as well as I
a bon x. Which Broncos draftpick? Are you most excited to see

(11:54):
this upcoming season? Forty one percentof you said odric estimate on this pole
question, you want to guess whois second Rick on this list? Between
Jonah Ellis, Troy Franklin, andChris Abrams Drain. I'm gonna say Troy
Franklin. You are right, becausethat's the guy I've almost mentioned when you
brought up that pole question. Alot to be excited about with him.

(12:20):
He's a big playmaker, he's gotthe chemistry with bow Nix and on Draft
Day. You and I were sittingthere together in the koa excellent coverage of
the draft, and I think wewere both pulling for him. Hey,
you know, you got a chanceto trade up and get this guy,
and that's exactly what they did,and I thought it was cool. Wh
Sean Payton said, you know, last night, when we saw he was

(12:43):
still on the board to start offat the next round, he thought,
you know what, we need toget this guy. And he talked to
George Peyton about that, Let's getthis guy, and he did. And
it's going to be fun to watchthose two together. And I feel real
good about, you know, someof the holes that they filled with his
draft, and guys like Blake Watsontoo, you know, some guys that

(13:05):
they brought in. It's gonna bea very interesting Denver Broncos season. Shout
out to Grant by the way withheart of Glass. I see what you
did there. The thing is,and I would I like to pick a
Troy Franklin as well, a guythat I saw and mocked in the second
round. Oh, we have thesecond round in the pre draft process.
The fact that you got him inthe fourth round really is something. The

(13:28):
thing about it that a lot ofthe responses to the poll question today is
about the offense, Like it's nothingagainst Jonah Ellis's nothing against Chris Abrams Strain,
who I think both have a chanceto be year one contributors. It's
about wanting this offense to get backinto some kind of prominence. You just
know, regular season, especially ifyou don't have one of the top ten

(13:50):
to fifteen offenses in the NFL,it just makes it difficult to compete every
single week, right. I mean, now, if you do have one
of those, well you always havea chance. It doesn't matter who you're
playing, you have a chance. You have a top ten offense, and
even if you have a mid tierdefense, you can compete every single week.
But if you have a bottom tenoffense, you're gonna have mixed results.

(14:11):
And the Broncos are so used infective, even worse than a bottom ten,
more like a bottom five offense,And that makes it nearly impossible in
today's NFL to compete weekend, weekout, and especially in the same division
with the Chiefs right at Patrick Mahomes, you play them twice every year.
And not to mention Justin Herbert, the Chargers haven't been that good. Justin
Herbert. I don't know if theyfeel like he hasn't lived up to his

(14:37):
potential. He's certainly got all thetalent, but they just haven't done much
with him. But we know he'sgot the talent. He does have the
talent. He reminds me of whatoften is the mistake made in the NFL
of changing schemes, changing personnel, changing the coaching. That young quarterbacks are

(14:58):
getting year with Anthony Lynn, right, and that he's the offensive coach,
but they changed ocs after one year, right, So then you go to
another OC and then now you're onyour third OC and then you're on your
fourth. I mean, it's it'sdang near impossible when you're getting different coaching
almost every year that you're in theleague to rise above it. I'd say
he's one example that kind of has. He's still putting up really good numbers,

(15:20):
but the wins haven't been there andthere has been inconsistent play. But
for me, he's the example whenyou see a talented quarterback and you take
him at the top of the draft, but you don't see kind of what
you want right away with the restof the roster or the rest of things,
and then you start making changes andyou're chasing your own tail, and
then you're just sort of hoping thatyour quarterback figures it out and rises above
it. Yeah, and Jim Harbaughwill get the best out of Justin Herbert.

(15:43):
Whatever that is, what the ceilingis. Yeah. Yeah, And
I think with Justin Herbert, youmentioned he puts up good numbers and he
does, but to me, whenyou look at him, he doesn't come
through when you really need him toto win a football game. And we've
seen him make a lot of mistakesat the end of games. And that's

(16:03):
what they have to fix with JustinHerbert. And you know, they've had
really good wide receivers, they hada really good running back and Austin Eckler,
they had a lot of weapons, and then he just couldn't break through
in the fourth quarter when they neededup too. It's a nice text,
Ryan, forget all the draft picks. I'm excited to hear Rick back on
the Broncos coverage. Oh man,we all are, thank you, we

(16:23):
all are. But I don't know, I mean, I don't think Rick
wants to forget the draft picks.I think we're excited about what they could
contribute. Because we said this cominginto the season, because you are hampered
by the Russell Wilson contract, andthat's fifty million more than fifty million,
like fifty five million that is onthe books in that impacts your salary cap.

(16:45):
There were decisions you had to make. I don't know if all the
decisions you made were directly tied tothat, but some of them were what
you could do in free agency thetalent that you can acquire. So you
needed to not only hit on theminimum amount of free agents that you brought
in, but you have have tohit on some of these rookies now.
And then to that point, alsothe guys that were here last year,

(17:06):
the rookies from last year, andeven go as far to say the guys
like Damari Mathis have to be afactor. He's two years removed from being
a rookie. We still don't knowwho that cornerback opposite Patzertan is. Now
you're gonna have a couple of guysthat are going to compete for Riley Moss
was a rookie last year. He'sgonna have a bigger role, you assume
this year. Rasse abram Strain, who I really really like again another guy

(17:30):
that I was spending a lot moretime watching a really sticky coverage, a
really great read and react again Ballhawk. Right, So, I think it's
fun that you have a relatively deeproom. It's an unproven room, but
it's it's exciting because there isn't thislike, well, if it isn't Levi
Wallace, who they brought in rightand signed right before the draft, then

(17:52):
we're totally in trouble. You know. I think that you have a lot
of young, ascending talent there, but one of them's going to step up
and that we just don't know yet. Yeah, and when you look at
this draft on paper and you haveto say that it looks like they had
great value. They didn't have awhole lot to work with, you know,
no second round pick, Yeah, second round pick with Sean Payton,

(18:15):
huge who's one of the best coachesin the league. But I think they
had great value. Most of thedraft experts looked at their picks as being
value picks. You mentioned Troy Franklin. A lot of the experts had him
as a second round draft pick.He goes in the fourth. To me,
that's tremendous value. Now, We'llsee how these guys can perform what
they're going to do. Audric Estamay I have a good feeling he'll be

(18:40):
RB one at some point this season. You know this, and this is
the guy who's a three down back. You don't have to take him out,
you know, because he's also goodin pass pro as well, big
and strong. I do hope JavonteWilliams comes back to the level he was
his rookie year. I really likedyour last year was a little hard to

(19:02):
watch because I really like him,and it just it just didn't look good.
I wonder what they'll do with samajp Ran because estimate to me is
is kind of a samaj p rntype. It is you think maybe they
trade him at some point. Imean it could be the case. Uh
I can look up at to hiscontra I think he's doing a couple million.

(19:25):
It seems to me more because he'sa vet that he would just let
him go do what he's going todo. And and you're just going to
say, we like, we likedwhere the room is at Javante Again,
some people will try to make theargument that Javante isn't a lock for the
roster I'd say he he gets thenod before you'd keep Samaje. But listen,
if you get into the adric estimeis our RB one conversation, like

(19:48):
if he's undeniable, well then maybeyou are having the conversation about what what
Javonte means for the team, rightbecause they kind of a similar style.
And then you say, well, actually we like Samaji p Ryan as our
change of pace guy, as we'rebringing along Blake Watson, as we keep
Julia McLoughlin because he plays special teams. So the room is in flux.
But to Sean Payton's thing that hesaid just a moment ago that we played

(20:11):
that sound, he's doing the samething. He's saying, I'm just gonna
un play. We brought in allthis talent, see how it all all
say shakes out, and they've gota lot of flexibility as far as I'm
concerned. And you can never havetoo many running backs in my opinion.
You know, that's a position whereyou're prone to getting injured, especially when
you have the running style of theseguys that we just mentioned. These guys

(20:32):
are all running backs that are gonnapunish defenders, and that part of the
problem with Javonte Williams. His runningstyle isn't conducive to a long career,
and something we've talked about many timessince Chavonte came into the league, and
will he be able to bounce back? Typically year two after the ACL is

(20:52):
when you'll get the best out ofthese guys. But Javonte's already taken a
lot of punishment. He dishes itout, but he's taken. He takes
unnecessary hits because he's a punishing runningback. Estimate is the same guy.
But Estimate to me, looks tobe more powerfully built than Javonte and maybe
can withstand that punishment more and better. Ryan is on the ka Comma Spirit

(21:15):
Health text line. Ryan, thewhole heartless thing is due to an elevated
estrogen level. Again, I'm nota doctor, but but you bring up
some interesting points. You know, maybe that would have solved things early for
the Grinch, right you think aboutthe greench think about the cartoon, even
the live action with Jim Carrey.Maybe maybe that was the problem for him.

(21:36):
You know what, I'm an amateurdoctor and I can maybe help you
with some of stuff. You know, you just might want to get checked.
It's a simple blood test, andyeah, man, if you because
you can have higher levels of estrogeneven though you're a man, just like
women can have higher levels of testosteronethan they should have. You got to
balance it out. I do cryat a lot of Pixar movies. You
do, You get moody at times, and moody is i'd say, is

(22:00):
lack of sleep, although I've beendoing better with an ass You know,
as you mentioned amateur doctor, therearen't many things like as a professional that
you want amateur in front, likeamateur pilot, Like I'm an amateur pilot.
Like well, yeah right, Imean again, you don't want that.
No, there's certain things that you'resaying, like I'm an amateur veterinarian.
No, no, I think I'drather go with the veterinarian veterinarian the

(22:22):
guy that like or that knows whatthey're doing, has gone to school for
it, not like I practiced thisthing on my you know side, Gig,
I'm an amateur doctor. Just whenyou said that, of like,
those are two words that probably don'tbelong together. Well, I'm just giving
you advice. I'm not forcing youto do anything that you're not a simple
blood test right, it's a veryfair point. You're just giving advice.

(22:45):
Is my decision whether or not Itake it. Your nipples ever get sore?
I know that's a personal question,but I'm an amateur doctor. Does
that ever happen? Did my nipplesget sore? They think about it?
Is this could be a clue.I'm trying to think of the most appropriate
way to answer that. You know, one, man, we're not on
the air right now, so it'sokay to have this question cover. You

(23:08):
don't want to answer that quickly? No, you don't, you know,
like because if i's some thought,if it immediately responded with like yes,
oh my gosh, right now thisright one? Never mind five six six
nine zero. So you guys keepus sending in text in here a lot
of reaction obviously to our conversation aboutthe bron because this one really quickly here.
I want to get to hey, guys, happy Friday. What do

(23:30):
you think about this our offensive line? We never really seem to talk about
them at the beginning of the season. We always do when we're about midway
through, and there looked like agroup of turnstiles. Do we see improvement
for next year or is it aseason on whoever's behind center. Well,
I think this offensive line was builtto run the ball, you know,

(23:51):
bigger, more powerful than we've hadhere in the past, and I think
they did a pretty good jobs asa run blockers. In fact, they
all graded out high as run blockers, and for the most part, they
graded up pretty well, except forMike McGlinchey at right tackle. As far
as pass blocking goes, I dothink there's room for improvement there from all

(24:14):
of them. But I feel prettygood about the offensive line. I think
they're solid the center position that we'llsee how that's going to go this year,
and that's sort of anyone's guest. My lean would be Alex Forsyth,
last year's seventh rounder. He's gotthe inside track because of his relationship with
Bo Nicks. It seems that's thecase. But they brought in Mustarfer,
they have Luke Wattenberg here, sothey have some options there, but there's

(24:37):
no just obvious this is the guy. My lean were you, Forscyth?
And honestly, last year I saidthis after they drafted, and that might
have been one of the steals forle Broncos entire draft because I had a
buddy that studies offensive line, thathad him as his top rated center in
the draft, and I was like, really, I was like, a
look out, yeah, I meanthere was some higher rate in my opinion,
there's higher rated centers. He's like, no, I had him as

(25:00):
number one, and I was like, jeez. I was like, okay,
well, I'm excited. They draftedhim knowing that Kushion Barry was in
the final year of his contract, and I thought Cushion Barry was set up
to have maybe his best year becausehe was going to get really good coaching,
had a really good head coach hereas well, And sure enough he
did. He became the highest painedcenter of all time. And then you're
like, okay, well you can'treally, I mean, you can't really

(25:21):
do much about that because the Broncosweren't in positioned to bring him back.
You would love the continuity, butI think Forsyth has the inside track,
not only the relationship with Bonix, but he also had a year here with
this coaching staff. Loved the factthat this coaching staff did did so much
with continuity, Like the organization,I mean did so much with continuity.
You didn't see a lot of turnover. Right. The guys that they let
go or moved on from, well, they got other opportunities. It wasn't

(25:45):
like the Broncos were pushing them out. They just hey, you want to
go coach for the Eagles, Great, go for it, Christian Parker,
right. I mean the guys thatleft were sort of expected to do that,
and they were left over from previouscoaching regimes. Any So, everybody
they brought in, they they theygave them another year, which is incredible

(26:06):
because even from the minor coaching fromposition group players, you have continuity.
You're not gonna get a whole newplaybook, you'ren't get a whole new coaching
style. These guys get a chanceto actually have the same guys telling them
the same things. I'd have togo back and look, maybe, you
know, did Foresight was he activefor any games last year? No?
He wasn't. I didn't think hewas. No. I don't think he

(26:30):
even suited up and then was alate scratch or anything like that. So
they'd be asking a lot, Ithink for him to come in and be
the starting center this year. Don'tyou think probably? I mean probably,
But but again, you know,so Muster is the only guy that really
has a lot of game experience.Rottenberg doesn't have center experience in the NFL.
I'm trying to remember if he subthedin at all. I know,
a lot of guard experience, likehe filled in for Dalton Reisner and filled

(26:52):
in with I think when Miners wasout he was the one guard yep,
but not a ton of starting centerexperience. So we'll see kind of how
that shakes out. But like Isaid, where I'm sitting today, that
that just lines up for me,and maybe it's just the bonnixt thing,
and then that's probably the proably whereI'm coming with on it. I like
this from Noko Dan real men crypicks our movies. That's say that,

(27:15):
man, there's nothing wrong with that. There really isn't. And and I
appreciate you saying that because I thinkDave sitting in that same chair or Alfred
might look at me sideways being like, well, that does say a lot
about you since having girls, sincehaving daughters. Hey, I have two
daughters too. I'm a girl dad, and so's Dave Logan. By the
way, Dave Logan's a girl dad, and and Alfred has granddaughters. So

(27:38):
he's he's kind of that thing. There's something it does to you, and
it just all of a sudden animasofty when it comes to to certain things.
Oh me too, when it comesto girls, in particular, when
you're a girl. Dad, Yeah, uh, it does. And I
have no sons, so just twodaughters, that's it. Same and okay,

(27:59):
well good? And how old areyours? Mine are thirteen and turning
twelve next week, and minor intheir twenties. They're already moms, which
is a whole beautiful thing in itself. Corse, no, no, I'm
I don't think there's any problem withreal men showing emotion. I think it
sometimes, you know, it's goodfor you. We don't show enough emotion.
We keep everything inside, you know, we're not like women. You

(28:22):
know, women will tell you whenthey're not feeling well and what they're not
feeling well about. You. Hopethey would, because if they actually aren't
saying anything, that's worse, evenworse. Yeah, the cold shoulder.
I don't know how long a mancan live with the cold shoulder. I
think what's the over under on?I think maybe two days If you have
the cold shoulder on day three you'rein big trouble. It might be older,

(28:45):
it might be over. Yeah, the cold shoulder is one of the
worst things a man can face inhis lifetime. Yeah, along with lotu
stop strong, which clearly you're currentlybattling. Battling in you should get tested
paddling it. Wow, this allright? Well there you go? Yes?

(29:10):
What wait? You should listen toRick the man broke his you broke
your Uh. That's a reference touh, I tore my pack, oh
my peck uh. And the reasonthis listener knows that's a callback from the
old logan Lewis show. Uh yeah, bench pressing. Okay, during the
break, I'll show you a pictureof it, of your package. Yeah,

(29:33):
okay, after I tore it.It's weird. Meant to show people
pictures. You know. Other mencan show pictures other peck to other men.
I haven't shown it to too manypeople, but I'm willing to show
it to you. Okay, No, I got to check this out.
So yeah, I did. Idid tear my peck. As an amateur
doctor, I want curious. Ijust you know, I've got the like
I've got like day one when Idid it, Day two, Day three,

(29:55):
Day four, where it just blowsup like a balloon. It's gigan.
Looks like I got a balloon onmy chest full of blood. Oh
my gosh. Yeah, it's prettybrutal, see it. You don't want
to do it? No, no, it just doesn't sound pleasant. I
I say, at least it wassomething that was like manly, right,
like I was, I was bitchpressing ers. You know, you don't
want to like I was. Iwas bending over to pick up something and
then like you know, pop theblood vessel. You know, you're like,

(30:18):
you don't want it to be likeI was carrying a paint can up
the stairs, or you know,I was in the garden and I was
trying to dig a hole to plitmy petunias, and hey, blue,
my peck out. Can you believeit? Right? So now I wonder
it wasn't really bitch pressing. Wasthere something else going on? A right?
All right? Yeah, loo, good for you. At least,
like I said, for me,it would be something dumb that I do.

(30:41):
See. I I hurt my backthe other day cleaning up pine needles
in the backyard, and this hasbeen my first time I'm meeting this on
that I have. I've had lightof cane patches on my back for a
couple of days now because it isso painful. I like, I have
no core strength because my back iskilling. Well you have no corese strength
anyway. Well, if you neverhad it before, you hurt your back.

(31:03):
And that's probably why you hurt yourback. I'm an amateur doctor.
I'm telling you once again, maybeyou get those T level checks, but
that that is it's it's embarrassing.Like I'm sitting here right now like I
was just I was just picking uppine. Yeah, that is embarrassing.
I broke my back once. Didyou really? And I'll tell you coming
up next how I did it.It's pretty interesting, Okay, And it

(31:26):
was on TV. It was aTV stunt with the Denver Nuggets. Okay,
this is a true story. Allright. Well we will get to
that. Plus Rick Hamill's going tojoin us. We'll talk a little about
the Nuggets Game seven coming up onSunday. It's all coming up next.
