അഞ്ചാം ക്ലാസിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു മുത്തച്ഛന്റെ മരണം. അന്ന് അച്ഛൻ പിന്നാമ്പുറത്തെ വാതിലിനു പിന്നിൽനിന്നു കരയുന്ന കാഴ്ച്ച മഴയുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇപ്പോഴുമുണ്ട്. അച്ഛൻ കരയുന്നത് മഴ ആദ്യമായി കാണുകയായിരുന്നു.
