Clark Beckham is a musician and motivational speaker. In 2015, Clark received his golden ticket to the 14th season of American Idol, in which he was voted runner-up. Since releasing Year One—which debuted #6 on iTunes’s alternative chart and #22 on Billboard’s R&B sales chart—Clark has performed with the Nashville Symphony, opened for Jon Bellion and Allen Stone, and received a nomination for a Teen Choice Award. Today, Clark is promoting his latest album, Light Year, which he released in 2020.
Clark joins me today to discuss what it takes to bet on yourself, your career, and your life’s work. He explains how he remains confident in his musical abilities despite negative critique. He elaborates on why being a musician requires work ethic and passionate commitment and describes why being an artist means knowing how to work smart. He also shares his inclinations for entrepreneurship and underscores how humans are yet to uncover their fullest potential.
“Confidence isn’t wished upon you. It is earned, and its foundation is reality.” - Clark Beckham
