Why they are called one-season wonders of IPL | EP 2

The Indian Premier League (IPL) began in 2008 and in 16 seasons, the league has grown exponentially. The IPL has taken Indian cricket to the next level in every possible way. There have been moments on and off the field that will forever stay in people's memories. The IPL has seen the rise and fall of some superstars.  Some cricketers will always be remembered for their consistency over the years, while others will always be remembered for that one inning or a season. Sports Katta’s IPL special series ‘Ekaach Maaleche Mani’ presented by Rujuta Luktuke and Aditya Joshi, brings you three such names in the second episode of the two-part series. A leggie Rahul Sharma, who starred for now defunct Sahara Pune Warriors, 2012 IPL winner Manvinder Bisla and Sunrisers Hyderabad speedster Umran Malik, who still has a long career ahead but is yet to live up to the expectations… 

२००८मध्ये IPLला सुरुवात झाली आणि आजपर्यंतचे १६ हंगाम अनेक खेळाडूंनी वेगवेगळ्या कारणांनी गाजवले. काही गोष्टी मैदानावर तर काही गोष्टी मैदानाबाहेर घडल्या. IPL मुळे भारतीय क्रिकेट एका वेगळ्या उंचीवर गेलं ह्याबाबत दुमत नाही. IPL मधील सातत्यपूर्ण कामगिरीमुळे काही खेळाडू आपल्या कायमस्वरूपी लक्षात राहतात तर काही खेळाडू त्यांच्या ठराविक खेळीमुळे... स्पोर्ट्स  कट्टाच्या ह्या IPL विशेष मालिकेत मुक्त पत्रकार ऋजुता लुकतुके आणि आदित्य जोशीने अश्या काही खेळाडूंचा जे केवळ त्यांच्या एका ठराविक हंगामामुळे लक्षात राहतात. IPL मधील एकाच माळेचे मणी मालिकेच्या दुसऱ्या भागातील खेळाडू आहेत लेगस्पिनर राहुल शर्मा जो आता अस्तित्वात नसलेल्या सहारा पुणे वॉरियर्स संघाकडून खेळताना चमकला होता, २०१२ मध्ये कोलकाता नाईट रायडर्सच्या IPL विजेतेपदात महत्त्वाचा वाटा असलेला मनविंदर बिस्ला आणि ज्याच्या पुढे अजूनही बरीच कारकीर्द शिल्लक आहे असा उमरान मलिक..
