For the first nine years of his career, Andre Agassi avoided coming to the Australian Open. So, it was with some trepidation that the two-time major champion arrived in Melbourne in 1995 eager to add a third Grand Slam title to his collection. Much to his surprise, not only was he embraced by the public, but he was spurred on all the way to the championship. In 2024, Agassi returned to Melbourne Park, where his love affair with the AO began almost three decades ago.
