In this episode of Untidy we talk to an incredible woman that needs one heck on an introduction, Emma Ferris. Emma is a stress and resilience coach and founder of The Breath Effect whose ‘bring me to my knees moment’ can be heard in nail-biting detail on her podcast, ‘Conning the Con’. She is also the host of her second podcast, ‘The Bravery Academy’.
We kick things off talking about Emma’s separation and divorce story. Although she and her ex-husband were seen as the ‘poster children’ for managing a conscious separation, Emma talks about the realites of the toll that took on her physically, mentally and emotionally, despite having a positive co-parenting relationship to move forward with.
When Emma began dating again she had her ‘trial by fire’ and was targeted for her high empathy by a psychopathic conman who conned her out of a six-figure amount. Emma talks about how she coped in crisis and how she realised she had a choice either to be a victim in that moment, or to learn how to fight. She shares her wisdom for how to survive, recover, and thrive.
