I’m anxious to share my thoughts on a reel I recently posted that was met with some controversy about why I don’t relate to women who complain about motherhood. Which got me thinking about how relatable content isn’t always good for us!

As moms, we often find ourselves mindlessly scrolling through social media or filling our minds with videos that don’t really challenge us to grow as human beings. In the name of relatability, moms take to the internet to commiserate about the real challenges and hardships they’re facing, but without any constructive goal in mind. The result? A severe increase in mental depression, anxiety, and unhealthy habits, which are not helping us in motherhood.

In this episode, I talk about…..

  • A time in my life when I realized I had given in to negativity.
  • Why media can be so toxic.
  • The dangers of relatable content.
  • The Media Pyramid.
  • Toxic positivity and unrelenting negativity.
  • My solutions for being more intentional with what I put out into the world.
