Why aren't there more employees of Asian descent, especially women, sitting in the corner office of Corporate America?
While there may be plenty of junior level employees who are of Asian descent, the number seems to drop once you cross the threshold into senior management. Asians can't seem to advance to senior management roles within Corporate America. Is this due to the unconscious biases or perhaps even conscious prejudices against Asians? Or is this a symptom of cultural differences that lead to inconsistent management styles?
In this episode of Being Unapologetically Authentic, I share some of my personal observations and career strategies that can help bridge the gap so that more Asians can advance in Corporate America.
