There were not many COVID-19 treatment options available in 2020 & 2021.  Now there are at least four that can be used for non-hospitalized patients.  The frequent changes may have been difficult to keep up with. difficult to keep up with all the changes. Timothy Ott, DO, FAAFP, IAFP President, and Mustafa Alavi, MD, breakdown the options and share resources to help physicians feel more comfortable in selecting and prescribing the correct medication for each of their patients.

-          Paxlovid – oral
-          Remdesivir – IV
