Dr. Melissa Tuomi is a licensed clinical psychologist who practices in the San Diego area. She specializes in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression and is trained in EMDR and CPT. She graduated from Alliant International University and completed a dissertation regarding gay active-duty military personnel and their level of outness as it relates to social support. She has worked in various settings, including hospitals, community mental health clinics, and college counseling. Her professional passions are helping to heal trauma and increasing the accessibility of mental health knowledge and treatment. In her off time, you can find her doing yoga, hiking, and spending time with friends.
