Since 2010, her organization has provided renewable scholarships, book awards, and mentoring to college-bound youth with incarcerated parents. We learn about her discovery, at age 15, that there were no scholarships dedicated to aspiring students like herself with incarcerated parents, arguably among the most in need and vulnerable, and how she developed a program that now provides a way for those like her to attend and graduate from college.
