Supreme Court OKs Government Censoring Citizens!!

A supreme court justice, during arguments of a recent case, stated that not allowing the government to censor the public could harm the public itself. This was a clear argument against the 1st amendment guaranteeing a US citizens right to free speech coming from a Supreme Court judge. It's odd seeing 1 branch of the government giving such deference to another branch. The branches of government are there too keep each other in check for the sake of the citizens. They're not there to protect each other from doing their bidding. The final verdict should be interesting.
