In this thought-provoking episode of Islam & Earth in Jumah & Eid-ul-Fitr, 1444,  Sr. Nazish Qureshi, founder of Muslim Climate Watch highlights how compounded impacts of conflict, climate change, and climate apartheid are drastically impacting Muslim-majority nations and communities

Sr. Nazish explains how the impacts of colonization traces back to where climate injustices continue to exist today.  Her work through Muslim Climate Watch looks at these issues closely and provides insight through data and research.  Sr. Nazish gives some examples of nations that are currently being impacted and what that looks like on the ground for communities.

She discusses both how Muslims are being impacted, but also ways that Muslims can engage in this conversation and contribute to reparations of injustice and how to find hope.

Finally,  she shares reflections on Eid & Earth day which will coincidentally fall at the same time this year.

Jazak Allahu Khair, thank you so much for this important conversation, Sr. Nazish!
