Filmmaker Matt Vella joins us on the show today to talk about his new short film, She's Not Your Type, and then to do an in-depth review of the new Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco film, Day Shift, that was just released on Netflix.
To kick things off, Matt shares a little about his work, and what motivated him to make a short rom-com at this stage in his career. He talks about how performing standup influenced his process, and why he is sticking to projects that he believes in and are close to his heart.
We also spend a little time recounting the wild and hilarious quotables from Matt's film!

We go through the picture's many problems, from casting issues, a confused script, and undercooked ideas and execution. With such a promising cast, it seems a shame that the final product is such a letdown.
