The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has consistently reported the urgency of acting on climate change to avoid catastrophic impacts. 

Solar and other renewables are the leading sources of new U.S. power generation

Solar and battery costs have come down since 2010
Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s (BNEF) analysis reveals that solar module costs have plummeted by 89% since 2010, forecasting a further reduction by 63% by 2050. Battery prices have also dropped by 84% since the 2010s.
